(主持人)Good morning, everyone,my honoured teacher and fellow students. First,I’d like to introduce my groud members:Wei Zhongding,Zhou Mingming, Wang Suina, Chen Dongxiong, Lin Zhihang, Li Zhiliang.And my name is Chen Yingyi.

Today we will talk about the social problems.As we all know, many sorts of social problems exist both in developed countries and developing countries.Now we will present the recent events of some social problems.

社会治安

A：Nowadays the social security has been the hot topic with the development of the society. The problems as stealing 、robbery、kidnapping、blackmail emerge in endlessly. Lots of people lack of security because of the poor social public order condition. Do you know what the cause is?

B: Yes. Due to the increasing gap between the poor and the rich, the inflation, more and more phenomenon happened,

which seriously influence the development of the economy and the stable of society.What policy has the Chinese government taken cope with these problems?

A: The Chinese government has published its first ever white paper on social security, detailing the current conditions of the country's social security and the policy the government adopted in the regard. Suggestions by the public mainly focused on improving the management of social security funds as soon as possible, and allowing migrant workers to participate in specialized pension plans.

B: Great. I hope everyone can live a happy life because of the policy and everyone can have a contented life!

住房问题

A: Have you seen the teleplay ‘the Snail dwellers’? It reveal a big problem that t he pinch of housing shortages.

B: Yes. The drama is worth watching. With the increase of China’s population, housing problems are becoming more and more apparent. Many people complain that their houses are too small to live in, and we can see in some poor families, six

or seven family members live in one room. Therefore, the living conditions can’t meet their-needs.

A: There are many difficulties in solving housing problems. Firstly, it’s impossible to put all the space into building houses. Secondly, the population of China increases year by year and with the improvement of our living standard, we need more room to relax ourselves in.

B: Various solutions have been put forward. I think the most important and efficient way is to control the population. Also, we can build more high buildings to provide more living space.

I believe the housing problems will be solved.

环境污染问题

A: Recently I read a piece of news. It says that in Japan many businessmen are selling fresh air to customers and now it is becoming more and more popular.

B: So interesting. I think maybe the fresh air is getting less and less in Japan. Isn’t it? As time pass by, the pollution of environment is becoming worse and worse. Ways to solve this

problem are also been heat discussing. For this question what view do you have?

A: In my point of views, the only measure should be taken is the awareness of ourselves. Everybody should take part in this problem because the earth is ours. Saving water and electricity, planting trees and flowers, all we should do is to protect our blue planet. If everyone can do so, the world will become more and more beautiful.

B: What’s more, the government can also issue some polic ies such as l imiting the number of private cars and the emission of waste water and waste gas in factories.
