My simple philosophies
I am never a philosopher while I have some simple philosophies to guide my life. I bet you can completely understand them. Simple as they m ay be, they mean a lot to me. When I get lost at the crossroads of life, they become my compass and lead me to the place w here I belong; when my heart get deeply h urt, they are the best medicine to c ure治愈my wounds; when I lose myself in the pursuit of f ame功名and wealth, they will s ound拉响the alarm for me. Simple philosophy No.1: Don’t give up when you s till have something to give. F aced with great difficulties, more often than not, I used to give up h alfway even when I was only one step a way from success. Great r egrets懊悔always came over me after I knew the fact that I would triumph in the end if I could h old on坚持one second. I told myself, “If you + don’t want to be a l oser, you must not give up halfway next time. Try to persist a little l onger.”Really I m ade it. Since then, I’ve insisted that no matter how many bottlenecks there are in my life, I will not a llow myself to give up easily. Nothing is really o ver until the moment I stop trying.
Simple philosophy No.2: Do not c onfuse混淆your real self with the masked one. In this complex society, every one gets his own role. So do I. I am s uch an apple in my parents’eye that I always try to be stronger than I really am. With my friends, I try to look happy with my life rather than to be sad. As everyone is m asked被戴面具, it’s becoming more and more difficult to know what others are really t hinking about. This is called a defense mechanism because if one is easily seen t hrough, he is more likely to get hurt. I can’t change this reality, but at l east I always try to be true to myself, knowing clearly what I am really thinking about, what I really c are about and who I am. Some people get lost between the masked one in the society which is like a fancy dress ball and his real self w rapped包裹in the body. Pathetic! If one l oses his real self, his life is t otally faked. I believe life can change what you are but not w ho you are.
Simple philosophy No.3: Life is not a race. As I am in an a mbitious age, I have a lot to pursue, such as fame, dream and wealth. In this i ncreasingly competitive society, doing everything is like having a r ace with others, such as scrambling onto a bus, getting a higher score and trying to look better, let a lone更不用说getting a better job or making more money. What is, on earth, left after success which will inevitably become h istory? Life shouldn’t be a race but a j ourney during which I can savor each step of the way I have gone t hrough.
Life is a large classroom where one can learn everything. I believe everyone has his simple philosophies just a s I do. Simple philosophies, to some extent, are not simple at a ll. Though they are weightless, they are a kind of t reasure one can always carry easily.
