WILL YOUNG介绍
Will Young,他是英国一个名为Pop Idol(流行偶像)的节目获胜者,从此红透全英国!因为他不但有英俊的外表,更有迷人的声线和扎实的唱功!他开始唱歌之后陆续推出三张单曲唱片,全部都是一上榜就登上单曲榜冠军位置,而且全部都蝉联数周冠军!第一张是"Anything Is Possible/Evergreen",也是三张中最最动听的一张,这两首单曲都好听到无法形容!第二张是"Light My Fire",充满复古曲风,也很迷人!
Will Young在埃克塞特大学攻读政治学学位时就初尝表演的滋味。
他最初的听众只是停车场里的几辆空车,他喜欢在那儿放声唱自己最喜欢的歌,这是他的朋友和父母以前都没有发现的一面。
虽然韦尔在学校的表演中也上过舞台,可他从来没有那样用声音来表达自己。
“我总是没有机会对着听众唱自己真正喜欢的歌,因此我就自己一个人在停车场唱。
在舞台上我的歌声总是受压抑,我第一次有机会公开表现自己的能力,是在“流行偶像” 节目中唱《点燃我》。
在学校的时候,Will Young参加了一次男生乐队选拔赛,并在乐队中赢得了一个位置。
然而,乐队并没有什么发展,他于是把精力放回到了学习上。
毕业后,他来到伦敦的艺术教育学校学习音乐剧,并报名参加“流行偶像”节目。
韦尔参加了整整七个月的电视表演。
在“流行偶像”中,一群年轻的男女歌手都在互相竞争,以赢得听众,每一次演出都有1300万观众投票,决定谁留下,谁被淘汰,最后,在Will Young和冠军称号之间只有两位表演者。
这些表演者都经历了无数场现场演出、试演和媒体的广泛关注,最后,观众评选出来的最喜爱的歌手是Will Young和Gareth Gates(小葛瑞盖瓷)。
2002年2月,Will Young 把全国流行偶像歌手的殊荣捧回了家。

是“流行偶像”将Will Young最好的一面展示出来,而且他的歌唱得一周比周好。
观众发现他不仅仅有充满热情的声音,还有着敏捷的思维、动人的微笑和率真的魅力,而他的朋友们说些素质使得韦尔在大学时“受欢迎得让人生气”。
家人对他的表现感到吃惊,“这真的是个意外,Will Young甚至都没有告诉我们他报名参加了‘流行偶像’,他的孪生哥哥鲁伯特说。
Will Young的父母直到演出的最后几周才见到他“爸爸担心我会辜负他的期望,” Will Young解释说。
但他没有必要担心。
Will Young已经24岁了,很快就要推出第二张专辑,并准备进行欧洲巡回演出。
可Will Young并不觉得自己已经出名。
