六年级下册第二单元点餐的场景英语作文

六年级下册第二单元点餐的场景英语作文全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1Last weekend, my family and I went out for dinner at a new restaurant that just opened up near our house. It's called The Green Pepper and it's a Mexican restaurant. My dad had heard good things about it from some of his coworkers, so we decided to check it out. When we walked in, the first thing I noticed was how colorful and bright the inside was decorated. There were Mexican paintings and sculptures all over the walls and ceilings. The floors were made of terracotta tiles and there were potted cactus plants scattered around. Even the windows had colorful stained glass designs. It felt like we had stepped into Mexico!A friendly lady greeted us at the entrance. "Welcome to The Green Pepper! How many in your party?" she asked with a big smile."Four please," my dad replied."Right this way," the lady said, and led us to a cozy booth toward the back of the restaurant. She handed us some big menus and told us our server would be with us shortly. The menus were really thick with lots of pictures oftasty-looking Mexican foods like tacos, burritos, fajitas, enchiladas and more. There were so many choices, I didn't know what to order! Everything looked so good.Soon, our server came over to our table. He was a young guy with a pencil tucked behind his ear. "Hi there, my name is Carlos and I'll be taking care of you this evening. Can I start you off with something to drink?" he asked. We all ordered from the drink menu - my mom and dad got big margaritas, my little sister got a Shirley Temple, and I got a big glass of horchata, which is a sweet Mexican rice milk drink. Yum!Once Carlos brought our drinks, he pulled out his little notepad and asked if we were ready to order some appetizers or go straight for our main courses. Dad said we'd have an order of chips and salsa to start. The chips and salsa came out really fast and were still piping hot. The salsa was nice and spicy, but not too spicy for me. Wemunched on those while we looked over the menu again to pick our main dishes. For my main course, I decided to order the chicken taquitos. Carlos the server asked me if I wanted those served with rice and beans, and I said yes please! My dad ordered the chile relleno plate, which was a big stuffed pepper covered in tomato sauce and cheese. Mom went for the veggie fajitas, and my little sister got a simple quesadilla meal from the kids' menu. While we waited for our food, Carlos brought over a little plate of these deep fried ice cream balls covered in cinnamon sugar and honey. He said they were called burritos de crema and they were on the house as a little treat from the chef. They were unbelievably delicious! I probably ate more than my fair share. Finally, after what felt like forever, our main courses arrived. Everything smelled incredible! My taquitos came on a big plate with rice, refried beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole on the side. I absolutely stuffed myself, going back and forth between the taquitos and sides until I could hardly breathe!Mom really enjoyed her big sizzling veggie fajita platter, and my sister devoured her quesadilla in about 2 minutes flat. EvenDad, who isn't a really big eater, cleaned his plate of that cheesy chile relleno pepper dish.We were all so full by the end of our meal that we didn't even have room for dessert, although the churro sundaes and tres leches cakes sure looked tempting. As we were waiting for the check, Carlos came back over to ask how everything was. "It was all so delicious!" my mom raved. "We'll definitely be back again soon.""Wonderful, I'm glad you enjoyed it!" Carlos replied happily. "And feel free to take some of those burritos de crema home with you for later if you'd like."Of course we couldn't say no to that, so Carlos boxed up about 6 or 7 of the little fried ice cream balls for us to take home and enjoy later as a sweet treat. The total bill came out to about 75 for the four of us, which didn't seem too bad for such a fun dining experience and amazing food. Plus we had our little box of to-go burritos de crema to look forward to!As we headed out to the car, my sister and I were already begging Mom and Dad to take us back to The Green Pepper again soon. I give it two thumbs up! If you're looking forauthentic, delicious Mexican food in a bright, festive atmosphere, you've got to try this place. Just come hungry, because you're going to want to sample all of the tasty items on the menu!篇2My Exciting Restaurant AdventureLast weekend, my family and I went out to eat at a fancy restaurant downtown. It was a really special occasion because it was my little brother's 8th birthday! We don't go out to restaurants very often, so I was super excited. When we arrived, a nice lady called the hostess greeted us. "Welcome to Chez Elegance," she said with a big smile. "How many in your party this evening?""Party of five," my dad replied, holding up his hand to show five fingers. The hostess grabbed some menus and led us through the restaurant to our table. I looked around in awe at the beautiful decorations. There were white tablecloths on every table and fancy chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Paintings of fruit and flowers hung on the burgundy walls. It was nothing like the casual diners we usually go to!Once we were seated, our server came over right away. He was a young man with a friendly face. "Good evening, my name is James and I'll be taking care of you tonight. Can I start you all off with something to drink?"We all ordered our drinks - my parents got wine, my brother and I got lemonade, and my grandmother got iced tea. James wrote it all down carefully. "Wonderful, I'll get those in right away. Let me know if you need any recommendations from the menu when you're ready to order."The menu had so many choices, it was hard to decide what to get! There were sections for appetizers, salads, pasta dishes, meat dishes, seafood, and even a kid's menu. I spent a long time reading through all the descriptions. Things like "seared ahi tuna over wilted greens with a balsamic reduction" and "roasted duck breast with an orange cognac glaze" sounded super fancy. When James returned with our drinks, he asked if we were ready to order. My brother knew exactly what he wanted - chicken tenders and fries from the kid's menu. I was having a harder time choosing. "What would you recommend for a 6th grader who wants to try something new and delicious?" I asked James."Well, a lot of kids your age really enjoy our penne alla vodka," he replied. "It's a pasta dish with a tomato cream sauce. Not too spicy or heavy, and very flavorful."That sounded tasty, so I decided to go with that. My parents ordered the filet mignon and Chilean sea bass, while my grandma got an eggplant parmesan. For my first time at a restaurant like this, I have to say the food was amazing! My penne alla vodka was so creamy and delicious. I cleaned my plate. Even though it was different than foods I normally eat, I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone a bit.For dessert, James brought out this gorgeous chocolate lava cake for my brother. It had a fancy design piped onto the plate in whipped cream, and came with a lit candle on top. After we sang 'Happy Birthday,' my brother blew out the candle and dug into the molten chocolate cake. His face lit up after the first bite. "This is the best cake I've ever had!"On the way out, I spotted the most incredible dessert display I've ever seen. It was a whole cart filled with beautiful cakes, pies, tarts, cookies, and other treats. I stared at it wistfully as we walked towards the exit."Would you kids like to take a dessert home for later?" my dad asked, clearly noticing how I couldn't take my eyes off the sweet cart."Yes please!" we exclaimed in unison. The pastry chef let us each pick out one dessert. I chose a beautiful fruit tart with a sweet glazed crust. My brother picked a slice of the most decadent triple chocolate cake. Those fancy desserts were the perfect ending to our special night out.As we left Chez Elegance, I felt so grown up and sophisticated after experiencing a true fine dining restaurant. I used good manners, tried new foods, and got to indulge in some incredible desserts. While it's not an everyday kind of place for my family, it was such a fun treat. I'll never forget my first time at a fancy restaurant, and I hope I can go back again sometime soon! Maybe for my own birthday next year?篇3My Awesome Dinner at the Cool Restaurant!Last Saturday was so much fun! My parents took me and my little sister Emily to this really cool restaurant downtown called The Fancy Feast. I was super excited because I had never been to a restaurant that fancy before. When we got there, the building looked huge from the outside. There were big windows and the name "The Fancy Feast" was written in cursive letters above the door. A guy in a suit opened the door for us when we went inside. The lobby had shiny floors that looked like they were made of marble. There were comfy couches to sit on while you waited to be seated.A lady who I think was the hostess showed us to our table. The dining room was dimly lit with candles on all the tables. The tables had white tablecloths and lots of shiny forks, knives, and spoons. I felt like I was in a 5-star restaurant on TV!The waitress came over and gave us these big menus. Mine had to be like 20 pages long! It was filled with all kinds of dishes from different countries that I had never heard of before. The grown-up words made the foods sound super fancy. My dad ordered some kind of meat dish for himself. I can't remember what it was called but it was something like "beefor-loop" or something weird like that. My mom got a salad with goat cheese and cranberries. She said it was very "sophisticated" which I think is a fancy way of saying it tastes good. For me and my sister, the waitress recommended the kid's menu. I ordered the cheeseburger because I knew I would like that, and Emily got the chicken tenders. The waitress said Emily'scame with "pommes frites" which turned out to be French for french fries. Fancy! While we waited for our food, my dad showed me how to fold the cloth napkin into a cool shape. Emily and I also did that game where you stealforks from each other when the other person isn't looking. Shhh, don't tell mom and dad! Finally, our meals arrived and everything looked and smelled amazing. My cheeseburger had this fancy sauce on it that I had never tasted before. It was so good! Emily's chicken tenders were crispy and came with honey mustard sauce for dipping. For dessert, we ordered a molten lava cake to share. It was this chocolate cake that was hot and gooey in the middle. Emily got chocolate sauce everywhere because she's such a messy eater, but I didn't care because it tasted soooooo yummy. On the way out, I got to take a peek inside the restaurant's big kitchen. There were chefs in tall hats running around everywhere cooking all the fancy foods. It looked like a lot of hard work, but I bet it's fun getting to make such delicious dishes.I had such a blast at The Fancy Feast! My parents said we could go back again for a special treat sometime. Next time Iwant to try ordering something even fancier from the grown-up menu. Maybe I'll get that beef or-loop thing that dad had. A cool restaurant like that deserves multiple visits to try everything! I gave my experience five stars!篇4My Awesome Restaurant Adventure!Last Saturday was the best day ever! My mom and dad took me and my little brother Danny out for a super fun dinner at a really cool restaurant. It was an "ethnic" restaurant, which means the food was from another country and culture. This one was an Italian restaurant, so the food was like stuff they eat in Italy. When we got to the restaurant, the first thing I noticed was how fancy it looked on the inside. There were white tablecloths on all the tables and fancy-looking plates and glasses. An nice lady called a "hostess" showed us to our table. Then another lady, called our "server", came over. She gave us some big menus to look at while we decided what to order. The menus had all these funny Italian words that I couldn't pronounce very well. Things like "bruschetta", "calamari", and "pasta primavera". I had no idea what any of it meant! My dad ispretty good at Italian though, so he helped me and Danny understand what all the dishes were. For an appetizer, my dad got us an order of bruschetta to share. That's kind of like little pieces of garlic bread with tomatoes on top. It was really yummy! While we ate that, we looked over the menu for our main courses.Danny decided he wanted buttery noodles with parmesan cheese. On the menu it was called "penne alla vodka" but it was basically just noodles with a light tomato cream sauce. My mom ordered the same thing.I went for the classic spaghetti and meatballs because you just can't go wrong with that at an Italian place! My dad got some kind of fancy pasta dish with chicken, vegetables, and a cream sauce. I can't remember what it was called. For my drink, I just had a Sprite. But my parents each got a glass of wine. They offered me a little sip but I didn't like how it tasted - way too bitter for me!While we waited for our food, Danny and I played an Epic Rock Paper Scissors tournament to pass the time. He almost beat me, but in the end I remained the reigning champ! Finally, our main courses arrived and everything looked and smelled incredible. My spaghetti and meatballs were perfect - the noodles were cooked just right and the meatballs were huge and delicious. Danny gobbled up his noodles so fast, I've never seen him eat like that before!About halfway through the meal, the server came over and asked if we'd like to order any dessert. Well duh, of course we did! You can't go to an amazing Italian restaurant without getting dessert.Danny and I split a huge slice of chocolate cake. My mom got tiramisu, which is this crazy Italian dessert made with coffee and mascarpone cheese. It looks a little weird but she said it tastes amazing. My dad got a scoop of spumoni ice cream, which is kind of like Neapolitan but with cherry and pistachio flavors too.We were all so full by the end of our meal, but so happy. I love getting to experience fun cultural foods and spend quality time with my family. And you better believe we'll be going back to that Italian place again soon! Maybe next time I'll be brave enough to try a bite of my dad's wine...or maybe not!篇5My Favorite RestaurantHi everyone! I want to tell you all about my favorite place to eat - Billy's Burgers and Fries. It's the best restaurant ever! Whenever my parents ask me where I want to go for a special treat, I always pick Billy's.The first thing I love about Billy's is the atmosphere. It's themed like an old-fashioned diner from the 1950s. There are bright red booths to sit in and shiny chrome details everywhere. The floors are checked black and white tile. All the servers wear classic uniforms with paper hats. And the best part? There's an actual old-fashioned jukebox in the corner playing fun, upbeat songs from that era! It makes me feel like I've gone back in time. But even better than the retro vibe is the food. Oh man, the food is out of this world! The menu has all the classics - burgers, fries, shakes, malts, floats, and even old-time desserts like banana splits and hot fudge sundaes. Everything is made fresh and tastes amazing. My absolute favorite thing to order is the Double Decker Bacon Cheeseburger. It comes loaded with two beef patties, crispy bacon, melty cheese, fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes, and a special sauce. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water! I always get it with a large order of their famous crispy fries on theside. The fries are perfectly golden brown and crispy on the outside while fluffy on the inside. Mmm mmm!For a drink, you can't go wrong with one of their iconicold-fashioned milkshakes or malts. They blend them by hand using real ice cream and mix in your choice of tons of different flavors. My personal favorite is the Oreo milkshake - it's like a cookies and cream dream! The chocolate malts are a close second though. And if I'm feeling really adventurous, I go for a classic cold root beer float. So refreshing! If I still have room after devouring my burger, fries, and shake, I'll definitely get a dessert to share with my family. We all love the colossal banana split - it's piled high with fresh banana slices, three giant scoops of ice cream, gobs of whipped cream, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, and a crispy cherry on top. Just thinking about it makes me totally stuffed! Other times, we'll go for a old-fashioned hot fudge sundae or even just a simple scoop of ice cream.Honestly, everything on the menu at Billy's is delicious. My parents really like their salads and grilled chicken sandwiches when they want something a little lighter. And my little sister is obsessed with their grilled cheese sandwiches. She says they're the best she's ever had!The service at Billy's is also excellent. The servers are always so friendly and make sure to take good care of you. They'll keep your glasses full and make sure you have plenty of napkins (which you'll definitely need if you order anything as messy as the burgers!). Best of all, they'll bring the bill with a dish of animal crackers at the end of the meal. I love snacking on those while we get ready to go home with full, happy bellies!I just can't say enough good things about Billy's. From the fun 1950s decor to the mouth-watering menu to the awesome service, it's just an all-around amazing place. My family and I go there all the time to celebrate good report cards, birthdays, or just making it through another week. No matter what the occasion is, we know we're in for a real treat! If you've never been to Billy's before, you are seriously missing out. Do yourself a favor and go as soon as you can! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Well, that's all for my review. Thanks for reading, and happy eating!。
