初中英语教学改革对学生的阅读能力提出了更高要求。初中英语阅

读教学已占主导地位,优化阅读课的教学设计能提高阅读课的教学

效果和培养学生的综合运用语言能力。那么,如何优化初中英语阅

读课的教学设计?本文试以一篇阅读短文a lucky escape为例,谈

谈自己的一点体会:

一、精心设计问题,设置悬念,激发阅读兴趣

在初中英语阅读教学中,设计问题,回答问题是课堂教学使用率最

高的一种教学手段。教师问题设计的得体、精巧,能把学生引入“问

题情境”,激发学生探索知识和阅读的欲望,引导他们积极思考,对

发展学生的英语表达能力能起到极大作用。在初中英语阅读教学的

问题设计中,教师要注意提问的质量,问题要有启发性,且难易适度,要有训练思维能力的价值,对不同性质不同程度的问题要适当

地让不同程度的学生回答。据此,教师在设计问题时,要精心组织,甚至对某个问题学生可能有的几种回答怎么引导,怎么分析都要在

事先有所估计,有所考虑。另外,设计问题时要注意循序渐进,由

易到难。首先提出能让学生通过略读就能快速在语篇中找到明显答

案的连贯的问题,帮助他综观全文,获取对语篇的完整印象,训练

学生整体理解,快速阅读的技能;然后提出一些推断性问题让学生

通过精读领会语篇的细节,根据问题迅速定位,在区域内进行合理

的判断、

推测,培养他的分析、综合和概括等思维能力;最后,提出一些延

伸性问题来开拓学生的视野,培养创造性思维。

二、合理安排教学步骤,有层次地引导学生阅读

1、引导学生快速阅读,捕捉大意

要培养学生的英语阅读能力,首先要使学生摆脱母语干扰,直接感

知语群句意。引导他们快速阅读,扩大阅读视幅面。培养他们良好

的阅读习惯,训练阅读速度,提高概述能力。还要培养他们的猜词

悟意能力,推理归纳能力等,在阅读材料提供的纷繁复杂的语言环

境中,抓住文章脉络,掠过不必要知道的生词或通过构词法猜一猜

某些生词。例如,a lucky escape一文中的生词van,suddenly就

无关紧要,阅读时可掠过;提醒学生注意生词quickly,happily是由quick,happy变来的;robber是由rob变来的,显然是表示某种人,就象teacher是由teach变来的一样,从而引导他们结合构词法和

文章内容猜出这些词的意思。这样,通过快速阅读,捕捉文章大意。然后让学生回答一些对表层意义的理解题:

(1)how many people are there in the story ?

(2)who are they ?

要求学生在回答上述问题时,不要看课文,以培养他们的识记和判

断能力。

2、指导学生精读全文,把握信息

有效指导学生学习语言知识,培养他们理解、掌握和应用语言知识

的能力。通过灵活运用语言知识,掌握语言模式,形成良好的语言

思维定势,培养语感。针对有碍阅读理解的内容,采用“疏”导法,

教学生抓住重点句、重点词,摆脱不必要的困扰;针对阅读中的重

要知识,采用“点”导法,并且把重要语言点发挥下去。例如,文章

中drive to hill building意思是go to hill building by car ,由此引

出ride a bike to school=go to school by bike ;catch a bus to work =go to work by bus ,etc.又如three man in police uniform

的句子结构和 a boy in a hat相似,等等。精读完全文,回答这样几个问题:

(1)how do the twins go to hill building ?

(2)do the twins go to the police station ?

(3)who do they meet at the police station ?

并且可以利用学生的好奇心、想象力以及概括能力,要求他们画出justin 和 paul分别去警察局的路线图,为学习语法showing the way 打下铺垫。

3、启发学生深读全文,领悟内涵

了解文章大意和重要语言点后,接下来就是要研究文章的内涵,即

中心思想。这种题一般出在阅读理解的第一题或最后一题,题型大

致是给文章拟个怎样的标题最好;或文章中某个人的话到底是什么

意思;甚至猜一猜文章中某个人结果怎样等等。这就要求教师不仅

要引导学生读通文章,还要启发他们深读文章,发挥潜能,引起发

散性思维,抽象出对文章的全面理解和认识,从而达到进一步培养

阅读能力,达到自学英语的目的。a lucky escape一文中,文章结

尾处警察的一句话含义深刻do you mean these three men? the back door of their van was open .we are asking them about

that . 学生通过略读,最多知道这句话的第一层含义,即这三人确实

如justin and paul 所料,是假警察。可能还有一部分同学误解他们

是真警察。只有通过深读以后才能领悟它的另一个深层含义,即正

是justin and paul’s lucky escape 给盗贼的车留下了可疑的迹象,引起警察的怀疑,才使盗贼最终落入法网。这句话揭示了中心思想,起到了画龙点睛的作用。

三、改善学生的学习心理,发展学生的智能和综合素质

阅读能力与学生的兴趣、志向和意志等非智力因素密切相关。有的

学生在阅读时缺乏自信和耐心。一看到长长的一篇文章,里面还搀

杂着一些生词,就产生厌烦情绪,这时教师要把改善学生的语言学

习心理环境作为一项重要的工作。要创设条件使学生产生语言学习

的成功体验,从而增强学生学习的信心,激发其进一步学习的兴趣

和动机,使学生以一种积极向上的精神状态投入学习。教师要带领

学生一道挖掘阅读材料的思想内涵,开展话题讨论,使学生学会客

观地分析、评价人物和事件,以培养学生对社会和人生的正确态度。在学完a lucky escape一文后,我请学生分析justin和paul这两

个人物的character,这时候学生展开了热烈的讨论,把以前学过或

见过的描述人物性格和品质的词都翻了出来,如:

helpful ,clever ,smart ,intelligent ,brave ,etc . 不但复习了旧知识,而且大大活跃了课堂气氛,让每个学生都有获得成功的喜悦。之后

我又进一

步提出:if you are justin or paul ,what will you do ?让学生展开

想象的翅膀,增强主人翁精神,树立正确的人生观。

四、阅读注意反馈调控

做阅读理解,最忌讳的是断章取义。应该首先初步通读文章,获得

整体印象。教师再指导学生调动原有的知识和生活经验,分析比较,

展开具体读解。教师应重点采用语感训练法,重点训练学生的分析

与比较的思维能力,最后概括、抽象出对文章的全面理解和认识。

仅此还不够,必须要通过最后一关:做练习和矫正,达到知识的牵移,使学生把理论应用于实际,达到自学英语的目的,进一步培养

阅读分析能力。

总而言之,教师在阅读课上应该树立以学生为主体的思想,精心设

计阅读教学过程,使学生拓宽视野,由被动接受知识转化为开动脑

筋主动探索知识,从而达到培养他们的自学能力,提高综合运用语

言的能力,提高阅读的速度和质量。

从一个阅读教学片段看教学目标的有效达成

【提要】

随着新课程的实施,英语课堂教学日益突出了教学活动过程本身的

价值,教学方式有所改进。但是,教学活动的重要特征就是它的目

的性。如何在重视学习活动本身的价值的同时,围绕预设的教学目标,选择组织适当的学习活动,有效地落实既定目标,促进教学目

标的有效达成是课堂教学必须关注的问题。本文如何落实既定教学

目标,分析了两个个教学案例中的问题,提出了改进策略。

【关键词】目标达成偏差对策

我们知道,每一节课都有自己的教学或学习目标,每一个目标都要

求明确、具体,符合学生实际,是教师对学生学习结果的一种预期。这种预期的学习结果(expected learning outcomes)往往以发生

在学生身上的可观察、可测量的行为作为指标。教学目标一经确定,就成为教师选择教学策略、开发教学媒体,安排和组织学习活动以

及实施教学评价的重要依据。

但是,我们在新课程实施过程中,如何设计、选择并组织有效的教

学活动才能实现预期的教学目标来呢?怎样才能构建合理高效的英

语课堂教学?

为了解决这些问题,我们经过反复探索、思考、分析和总结,从而

对上述问题形成了一些具体的看法。

下面是一位教师关于译林牛津模块二unit one: reading (boy missing, police puzzled ) 阅读部分第一课时教学目标的设计:

幸福离我们有多远 1. 通过上午观看两位专家的视频讲座,我深受启发。教学策略是英语教学的重要组成部分。有效的学习需要把握好

的学习策略。不同的教材内容需要不同的教学策略。不同的学生也

需要不同的教学策略。对学生进行语言教学任重道远。我们要在实

践中不断探索,以丰富多彩的“形”式来点缀、深化英语知识的“神”采,把孩子们带到一个原汁原味的英语境界中,不断激发其学习兴趣,让课堂充满活力、充满情趣,让学生们学起来有滋有味,轻松

自如。下面是我学习后运用不同的学习策略对the secrets of happiness的阅读课的设计。采用分层次教学法,不同的学生达到不同的教学目标。对初中英语

教学策略的应用模式进行初步的探究和分析。

the secrets of happiness教学案例

教学模式总结如下:

presentation(导入)——skimming(粗读)——listening and reading(听读)——scanning(跳读)——intensive reading (细读)——retelling(复述)——discussing(讨论)——writing(写作)——summary(小结)。

阅读前活动 pre-reading

step 1:presentation(导入)

本篇文章主要讲述人们怎样才能幸福。所以我通过听唱英语歌曲《if you are happy》导入新课。引导学生拍拍手,耸耸肩,跺跺脚。,以此活跃课堂气氛,引起学生的兴趣,使学生先感受快乐。做到未

见其形,先闻其声。不仅可以放松,还能促进学习。初中英语学习

者的几个学习问题:语音,词汇,和语法。通过真真正正的听歌来

解决相关问题。为下面的阅读做准备。教学策略:听唱歌曲,动手动脚。全体学生融入其中。阅读中活动。while-reading

(完成教学目标中的阅读技能训练、合作学习等目标;完成教学重点中指导帮助学生完成相关阅读技能、阅读技巧的部分。)

step 2:skimming

这一步分别设置关于标题,文段,最基本信息,最基本课文相关知识的一些问题。难度低,题目简单。关于此处的处理,不用告诉学

生专用名词skimming,而要求学生们尽可能“快”地完成相关问题。这种快,正式对于跳读的一个技能实现。作为老师,在此处,要注

意与之前的语速进行区别,要试着加快自己的语速、提高语调,以

辅助促进学生快

问题,找关键词。绝大部分学生都能达到目标。

step 3:listening and reading

让学生边听边读,并且在听读的过程中找出文章的重点词汇、短语、句子。并且进行解决,.扫除学生阅读中存在的一部分障碍,但要注

意知识点的讲解要尽量简练,并且要引导和培养学生根据上下文猜

词的能力。

教学策略:听读课文。小组比赛猜词义。百分之八十的学生能完成

任务。

step 4:scanning

这是一种为寻求特点细节放弃大部分内容,只注意某一点或某几点

的阅读方式,要求学生根据老师提出的问题进行跳跃式的阅读,找

出问题的主要信息。此处的几个问题设置与后一步细读要有联系,

让学生的阅读循序渐进。在此环节中提醒学生不要逐词逐句看课文,要讲究速度。在最短的时间内找出问题的答案。

在此期间老师要出示以下问题:

1,who do happiness depends upon ourselves

2what can we do in order to be happy?

教学策略:合作阅读,抓关键。绝大部分学生能完成任务。

step 5:intensive reading

仔细阅读文章,要求学生从细节处把握文章,在前面阅读的基础上,从整体上把握文章的主要内容,以便于帮助学生加深对课文的理解。在此环节中,要求学生各自独立完成阅读任务,然后与同桌或同组

同学合作解决疑难点。在学生的阅读过程中,教师要出示以下问题

帮助学生理解课文。 1,can money and success alone bring lasting happiness.? 2what kind of people live happier and healthier lives.? 3if you want to feel happier, what should you do?

教学策略:小组合作,比一比谁最棒。百分之七十的学生能完成任务。

step 6:retelling

此环节要求学生根据第二步,第四步和第五步提出的问题进行整合

之后,调整顺序。根据教师提示的关键词,对文章进行复述,加深

印象。

教学策略:先连词成句,再连句成篇。最后复述课文。这一步比较难,一半。的学生能达到目标。

阅读后活动。after-reading(扩展学习的面,让学生真正的有所收获,而非局限于课本。)

step 7:discussion

此环节要求学生以小组合作来完成。解决文章中存在的难点问题,

以此来培养学生提出问题、解决问题的能力。在教学中,教师要鼓

励学生敢于提出问题,相互启发,相互学习,深化对课文的理解。

教学策略:小组合作,讨论,质疑。绝大部分能完成任务。step 8:writing :are you happy? if you want to be happy ,what should you do ?

此环节要求学生在学习这篇文章的基础上,自己写一篇关于幸福的

文章。不同的人对幸福的看法也大有不同。介绍一下你的幸福观,

你怎样才能幸福?

要点提示:

2、things you want to do

3、money and success

教学策略:创设情境,模仿写作,活学活用。一半的学生能完成的

很好。

英语教材具有很多的优点,但由于学生认知水平的发展具有规律性,教师只有充分认识和掌握这种规律,并结合教,充分发挥学生的主

体作用,教学相长,才能达到教学效果的最优化。

:本课时选择的是初二英语课本第四单元 how often do you exercise?中的一篇文章,主要是围绕本单元的中心任”而展开的。

:这篇文章讲述了很多学生平时的饮食和生活习惯。通过学习,让

学生明白什么是健康的饮食和生活习惯:(1)理解课文内容,知道

如何捕捉细节。

(2)根据图片猜测大意。

(3)引导学生掌握模仿主题进行描述的技巧, 形成根据主题理解文

章细节并能分辨是非的能力。

:以讨论日常生活的话题进入,可以活跃课堂气氛。同时,由于每

天都有值日生报告,可以锻炼学生的书写和口头程中,也互相锻炼

:针对上述教学设计和课堂教学活动,笔者有以下三点体会:(1)本活动在设计上比较符合学生的认知水平,能参与活动的热情。(2)能使阅读前的“warming–up activities”真正发挥“热身”的作用。这就为顺利开展之(3)上课伊始就顺利切入主题,中间过渡

自然,言语富有鼓励性和启发性,能使学生产生强烈的共鸣。reading

交流与合作能力。

文章改写与复述培养学生运用语言的能力。

:学以致用,自己的话题会让他们产生更大的兴趣。同时,通过这

项活动可以充分训练学生的综合技能。

后记

教学设计和具体的教学活动,本人事后有以下几点思考:

是学生比较喜欢的学习方式。以竞赛形式贯穿整个教学活动是该部

分教学设计的亮点。在比赛过程中,学生反应积争激烈,教学效果

比较令人满意。同时在教学过程中,充分并合理安排学生的合作活动,让他们在合作探究中共同

通过阅读才能让学生理解课文内容,并形成一定的阅读技能。本环

节通过“提炼大意,情节捕捉,合作探究和延伸概括主题、捕捉细节

和再现阅读内容的技能。教师同时能注意设计合适的衔接语言,使

各个教学环节自然过渡,让状态并开展活动。

在教学过程中积极调动学生,让学生自己来组织并完成任务,真正

体现了学生的主体地位。

践中,本人也体会到,阅读教学应处理好以下四个关系:

的“教”和学生的“学”的关系。教师应更多地关注如何教会学生阅读,而不是仅向学生灌输大量的语言知识。教和指导下掌握知识和形成

技能的过程。教师应让学生在活动中发挥其主体地位,让学生自己

去发现问题、分析问题学设计过程中,要尽最大可能考虑学生情感

在教学中的重要性,要设法让学生在快乐中学习。但教师不能片面

地追调热闹课堂,气氛是活跃了,但忽视了学生对知识的掌握和能

力的培养。

过程与结果的关系。任务型教学要求教师在教学中不仅要关注学习

的结果,还要关注学习的过程。学生完成任务的析问题和解决问题

的过程。同时也是逐步提升阅读技巧,提高阅读能力的过程。

和反思的关系。反思是实践的一面镜子,每次的教学反思都能折射出实践中的成功和不足之处。在教学中应该不断养学生学会阅读、学会自主学习作为追求的目标。

谈初中英语阅读课教学案例 吉林省桦甸市金沙中学:王欣平 一、背景 现行初中英语教材具有很多的优点,但由于学生认知水平的发展具有规律性,教师只有充分认识和掌握这种规律,并结合教学实际,合理设计教学程序,充分发挥学生的主体作用,教学相长,才能达到教学效果的最优化。 二、教材分析 1、话题:本课时选择的是初二英语课本第四单元 How often do you exercise?中的一篇文章,主要是围绕本单元的中心任务“Food and lifestyles ”而展开的。 2、内容:这篇文章讲述了很多学生平时的饮食和生活习惯。通过学习,让学生明白什么是健康的饮食和生活习惯 3、目标:(1)理解课文内容,知道如何捕捉细节。 (2)根据图片猜测大意。 (3)引导学生掌握模仿主题进行描述的技巧, 形成根据主题理解文章细节并能分辨是非的能力。 Step 1: Warming–up activities (一)Free Talk: To ask the student on duty to make a speech: “What is my favorite food?” 设计思路:以讨论日常生活的话题进入,可以活跃课堂气氛。同时,由于每天都有值日生报告,可以锻炼学生的书写和口头表达能力。另外,在交流过程中,也互相锻炼了学生的听力水平。 (二)1.Revise some names of food (Let the students speak freely.)

一.初中英语阅读理解的解题技巧 阅读理解也是中考英语题的必考题目之一,本题型旨在考查学生阅读,理解的能力,几年来,中考英语题中的阅读理解材料新,题材丰富,考查学生综合推断能力,根据语篇猜单词意思的能力的力度加大,也考查学生关注细节的能力。所以学生往往要么没能正确理解语篇中某些句子的意思,在细节题上丢分,要么就是对语篇的整体把握不够,在综合题或者推断题方面丢分。那么到底怎么做好阅读理解这一题型呢?我将从以下三个方面谈论这个问题: 一、解题思路 (一)先读问题,弄清考查要点,以便能带着问题看文章,这样会心中有数,有的放矢。在读题的时候划出题目的关键词。 (二)快速浏览全文,掌握全貌,注意发现与问题有关的信息,如果时间紧,至少要扫视一下起首段和尾段。再把标题和文章内容结合起来想一想,这样全文大意便清楚了。此时,不要忙于答题。 (三)细读原文,捕捉相关信息词,掌握短文细节内容。这是解题的关键,应特别注意以下几点: 1.抓住四个"W"和一个"H",就是边读边用铅笔做些标记,把What (事件),When (时间),Where(地点),Why(原因),How(经过)划出来。抓住了四个“W”和一个“H”,就抓住了文章的全貌,一些直接性的问题便可解决。 2.抓住连接词及起关键作用的副词、代词、介词、插入语等。因为这些词具有因果,让步,递进,转折,指代,列举及承上启下等各种连接上下文的特殊功能。这对考生分清文章层次,辨明各种关系,了解人物心理,推断作者意图,进行逻辑推理等手段来分析难点,都具有举足轻重的作用。 3.注意领会文章的寓意。 4.根据题意,初选答案。这一步须仔细审题,领会测试要求,确定解题方法。对那些明显的,有把握的题可以断然确定,不必把其余三个答案再作推敲而浪费时间:有些略难的题,应再查阅短文(不是重读一遍),迅速找出依据,予以排除。常用的解题方法有如下几种: ①直接解题法。即从原文中直接找出答案。 ②归纳解题法。对于不能从原文中直接找出答案的可在把握全文中心和线索的前题下进行概括、归纳得出正确答案。 ③综合推理法。读者需统观全文,认真分析,综合推理及至计算,最后归纳出正确答案。 题干中有"suggest, conclude, conclusion, probably, reason, because, according to“等字眼时,属于推断概括型,考查内容着眼于全篇,考生应具备一定的分析归纳,推理等逻辑思维能力。 ④捕捉关键词。在阅读时应该注意与问题相关的同义词,近义词,反义词或同位词等信息词来得出正确答案。 ⑤同意转换法。即原文这么说,而在问题和所选项中则用另外的词去转换一种说法,但仍表示同一含义。 ⑥排除法。根据语言,句法结构,信息词和常识,在没有把握的选项中用排除法得出正确答案。
