Thus, the activities associated with corporate sustainability are very similar to those discussed in this article, although somewhat broader in scope.From my perspective, the briefest definition is that CSR represents voluntary firm endeavors which benefit society. CSR comprises a number of corporate activities that focus on the welfare of stakeholder groups other than investors, such as charitable and community organizations, employees, suppliers, customers, and future generations. One important category of CSR activities includes corporate contributions of cash or products to charitable and community organizations. Companies also allow employees to take time off from work to volunteer with charitable and community organizations. Companies’ CSR activities also focus on meeting customer desires and protecting future generations. Although many companies pay more attention to CSR, problems can’t be ignored. First of all, major multinational corporations have made different standards on workers’rights. In addition, transnational corporations do not treat Chinese companies equally to the standard. Finally, the disorderly competition among enterprises makes the product delivery time is shorter; the price is lower and lower in China, while transnational corporations become the beneficiaries.I will take HP as an example, which focuses on international workers rights and workers rights situation in China. Using HP as my small case because of HP does a good job in protecting worker right.Hewlett-Packard (HP) have always believed that, in order to be good business, must first become good citizens. Based on the risk management activities carried out autonomously by the respective organizational units, Yokogawa's management gains a comprehensive understanding of risks surrounding the group from the two standpoints of "business activities" and "internal control," and thereby deals with such risks. Key Drivers in CSR
• Changing social expectations - Consumers and society in general expect more from the companies whose products they buy. This sense has increased in the light of recent corporate scandals, which reduced public trust of corporations, and reduced public confidence in the ability of regulatory bodies and organisations to control corporate excess.
