情态动词can的用法
(1) 表示体力或智力上的能力。意为“能, 会”。 I can’t swim. 我不会游泳。 Can you finish this work this week? 你能在本周完成这项工作吗?
(2) 表示客观可能性,意为 “可以,可 能”。 That big cinema can seat 2,000 people. 那家大电影院能坐 2,000人。
如果表达“某人不能做某事”,可以再 can的后面直接加not, 成为cannot,也 可以缩写为can’t。例如: I can’t play football. Dick can’t speak Chinese. 我不会踢足球,迪克不会说汉语。
can是情态动词,没有人称和数的变化, 否定式都是cannot(can’t)。
