They cut off all the overhanging branches.

He cut off his hair for charity.

I cut the peel off the orange.

We had to cut off the bed's legs to get it through the door.

They cut off the enemy's retreat.

The new factory cuts off our view of the hills.

If this bill is not paid within five days, your gas supply will be cut off.

Our water supply has been cut off.

The aim was to cut off the enemy's escape route/supplies.

We got cut off before she could give me directions.

We could get cut off - the battery in my phone is low.

My explanation was cut off by loud protests.

Did you see how that guy cut me off?
cut sb off 意为“切断…
The army was cut off from its base.

She feels very cut off living in the country.

He cut himself off from all human contact.

He had his hand cut off in an industrial accident.

解析:此句的have his hand cut off 中的hand 与cut off 是被动关系,表示被切断,但不是主语he 发出的。
