Today I’m going to talk about Unit 5,part A in Book 3 of Oxford[ 'ɔksfəd ] English. In this unit, we will learn the the communion [ kə'mju:njən ] parlance[ 'pɑ:ləns ] : How are you? I’m fine. Not bad. Not so good. I’m sorry.”Considering the National Standard of course,the content [ kən'tent ] 内容of the lesson and the level of the Ss, I have planned [ plænd ] the following teaching aims.The first is the aim of knowledge.1 The Ss can understand and say the communion [ kə'mju:njən ] parlance [ 'pɑ:ləns ] : How are you? I’m fine. Not bad. Not so good. I’m sorry.2. sing the song: 《Hello. How are you?》The second is the aim of ability. Thecreative [ kri(:)'eitiv ] 创造性的spirit[ 'spirit ] 精神isquite important to the Ss. So I’ll pay much attention totrain [ trein ] 训练it in my class. I’ll try to train the Ss’abilities of listening, speaking,and reading,especiallylistening and speaking. As for the difficultties that could arise [ ə'raiz ], Ss should use these key sentences in real [ 'ri:əl ] situations情形. [ ,sitju'eiʃən ] Then I’ll talk about the teaching procedures [ prə'si:dʒə ] 程序and the process [ prə'ses ] of my plan [ plæn ] . I’ll finish this lesson in 4 steps:The first step is Greeting and review. In this part, I would like the Ss to listen to and sing the song“Hi ,Nancy”together. The reason I planned this step is that it’s important to form a better environment[ in'vaiərənmənt ] 环境for the students by singing. It provides [ prə'vaid ] 提供 a situation to review and preview knowledge for the next step.Now to move on to the second step: presentation and practice. I’ll mainly talk about this step.I divided it into 3 parts. First part is learning “How are you? Fine,thank you.(And you ?)I’m fine,too.”At all ,I will show a picture and say :Look, here’s a picture.( a fine day) then CAI shows a fine day, I will point to the rainbow and say , Today is a fine day ,too. When I get up, I opened the window,“wow, it’s fine”, so I’m fine, too. Read the word “fine, I’m fine”(must smile) Ask: I’m fine, How are you? Show two smile faces , Ss ask them “how are you?”Say fine again, smile like the two faces. The second part is to practice , Not bad,thank you. Not so good.I am sorry. CAI shows pictures of the others .lead out Words: good , bad Listen and answer: How are you?(Nancy, Wang Bing, Liu Tao , Yang Ling)Words: Not goodShow: Not bad = good Not good= bad paying attention to the pronunciation. After that, ask ss to read part A and practice in pairs.The purpose[ 'pə:pəs ] 目的of this part is that with the help of CAI&pictures, I can provide [ prə'vaid ] 提供a real situation to understand the meaning of the words.The last part of this step is sing a song:Hello!How are you? The song can arouse [ ə=rauz ] 唤醒,鼓励,引起Ss’ interest in learning the key sentence. I’ll le t the Ss listen to the tape first, after that,I’ll ask them some questions about the dialogue.Then I’ll let the Ss listen to the tape again, then they can answer the questions. These questions can help the Ss better understand the dialogue and practice the useage [ 'ju:zidʒ ] 惯用法,使用,用法of the key sentences at the same time.The third step is consolidation. I planned 2 activiies in this step. Activity one is to divide the Ss into groups, CAI shows the pictures to the Ss,and then let them try to make a short dialogue using the key sentences they’ve learned in this lesson. Activity two is according to the questions I’ve given while teaching the dialogue, let the Ss try to act out the dialogue themselves. I think thegoal [ gəul ] 目标,终点of teaching is to make Ss aware t [ ə'weə知道的,意识到的that they are masters of learning and need to put the language into use. This kind of consolidation[ kən,sɔli'deiʃən ] 巩固,团结,合并can help Ss command [ kə'mɑ:nd ] 命令,指挥,控制their konwledge better. The last step: step 4 is to assign the homework.
