教学步骤:1.复习上一课的重点:形容词的比较级和最高级(以说、写为主)→拓展练习。
2.激情导入:听录音课文开头的小对话以及学习跟读Flash中的一首诗歌,用直观、形象、与学生互动的手段来教授,使教学内容更贴近学生的生活,激发学生的学习兴趣,提高学生参与语言活动的积极性。

Good morning, everyone! It’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you. I’ll talk about this lesson from five parts:Analysis of the teaching material, the teaching objects, the teaching methods, the studying methods and the teaching procedure.
Analysis of the teaching material
The content of my lesson is FUN WITH ENGLISH 8A Unit 3. This unit is about travelling.I will finish Reading part period 1. After studying the teaching material and analyzing the content of reading, I think the teaching objects of the first period are as the followings:
The teaching objects,
1.Knowledge objects:
1 Learn and understand the new and important words , expressions and sentences
in this lesson..
2. .Read the passage to learn something about this trip.
2. Ability objects:
1. The students can identify the interesting places of interest at home and abroad,
especially in Beijing;
2. The students can get the overall understanding of the passages on a trip.
3. Emotion objects:
By reading the passage on a trip, the students love travelling and the nature.
Key points and difficulties:
1.New and important words,expressions and sentences for the students to learn and master;
2.The overall understanding of the passages on a trip.
Teaching Methods
According to the analysis of the teaching material and the students’learning background, I will mainly use Situational teaching methods,Group learning method and Practicing method.
Studying Methods
Our students are relatively lack of English knowledge. As junior students they have a certain ability to read, but they are poor in cooperative learning skills. Some students are not active enough in class. Therefore I’ll have Ss study in a relaxed atmosphere. Ss understand the new knowledge through the mental process of hearing, reading ,saying, observing and thinking.
Teaching procedures
Ⅰ.Warming-up:
1. Help students revise something about the places of interest learnt in Comic strip
and Welcome to the unit by encouraging the students to say something on a trip plan for travelling , using some questions.
2.After students’ work, in order to lead in the new lesson, I will tell the students my
trip plan, presenting the key phrases on the board. These key phrases are necessary for the following learning.
Ⅱ. Presentation:
By asking questions: Do you want to know what Linda did and what she saw there? to stimulate students' curiosity and thirst for knowledge. The teacher can show some pictures to arouse students’ attention. These pictures can be shown in the order to the route of travelling to give them a general idea of the text.
Ⅲ.Playing the tape
Play the tape and get the students to listen. In this step, the students are just asked to get the general meaning of the text. The better students can close the books, for the weak students, they can open the books. After listening, the students can finish a matching exercise.
Ⅳ. Practice:
In this period, the teacher can use different teaching methods and different kinds of practice to help the students get the overall understanding of the text .
Ⅴ. Reading aloud:
Get the students to read the passage aloud skillfully and remember the facts on Linda’s trip. In this activity, the teacher can group the students into different groups to make a small competition. At the same time, if necessary, the teacher can give them some help.
Ⅵ.Summary
Summarize what have been learned in this lesson: 1) the new and important words and expressions. 2) some useful sentences 3)the whole content of the text The teacher can finish this step by asking the students to read some new and important words, expressions and sentences appearing on the screen. About the whole content of the text, the teacher can give them some help to make most of the students get the general understanding.
Ⅶ.Homework
The teacher will use the homework to check the students how much they have learnt in class. The homework is related to the teaching objects. The third is a choice, just for the better students.。
