家庭暴力普遍吗?根据美国全国反对针对妇女施暴的普查,22%的女性被其伴侣或约会对象身体侵犯;每年受害于伴侣暴力的18岁以上女性有将近530万,造成200万人受伤,1300人死亡。

◆差不多有25%的女性曾被同居伴侣强奸过或身体伤害过。

◆在生活中,男同性恋中的15.4%、女同性恋者中的11.4%、异性恋男性中的7.7%曾被其约会对象或同居伴侣侵犯过。

◆每年有超过百万的女性,37万1千名男子被伴侣跟踪。

家庭暴力的精神伤害家庭暴力可造成常见的感情创伤,如抑郁症、焦虑症、恐慌症、酗酒吸毒和创伤后精神紧张障碍。

虐待会诱发自杀行为、精神病发作、离家出走以及精神病康复缓慢。

在对待成长问题、心理紊乱、学业困难、攻击性行为以及自卑等方面,家庭暴力中的儿童更有危险。

经历过家庭暴力的孩子们很难调动各种资源来处理这些问题。

不过,许多经受过家庭暴力的人不需要精神治疗。

一旦他们和自己的孩子安全并且获得帮助,许多症状都会消除。

对有些人来说,要安排精神治疗他们才会感到安全和康复。

如果受到虐待,你可以寻求帮助。

你不该被虐待,绝不是你的错。

你没有能力改变他的行为,一切只会更糟,暴力行为会造成死亡。

如果你被虐待,你该怎么办?你不能制止伴侣的虐待,只有他/她自己才能做得到,但你可以为自己寻求帮助和支持。
