Today, I want to talk to you about a really important topic – dealing with stress in college.I know what you're thinking, "But Tommy, you're just a little kid! How do you know anything about college stress?" Well, my older brother Jacob is in his second year of college, and I've seen how hard it can be for him sometimes. But don't worry, I've got some great tips to share with you!First of all, let's talk about what stress is. Stress is that funny feeling you get when you're worried or anxious about something. It can make your tummy feel all twisted up, and it might even give you a headache. College can be really stressful because there are so many new things to deal with – harder classes, livingaway from home, making new friends, and figuring out what you want to do with your life. Phew, that's a lot of stuff! But don't worry, there are plenty of ways to beat stress and have a great time in college. One of the most important things is to take care of your body. When you're feeling stressed, it's easy to forget to eat right, exercise, and get enough sleep. But these things are super important for keeping your body and mind healthy. Make sure you're eating lots of fruits, veggies, and other yummy, nutritious foods. Exercise is also really great for relieving stress. You could go for a walk, play sports, or even just dance around your dorm room like a silly goose!Another really important thing is to find ways to relax and have fun. College can be a lot of hard work, but it's also a time to make amazing memories with your friends. Set aside some time each week to do something you enjoy, like watching a movie, playing video games, or going out for ice cream. You could even start a new hobby, like painting, playing an instrument, or joining a club. Doing things you love will help you feel happier and less stressed. It's also really important to ask for help when you need it. College can be tough, and there's no shame in needing a little extra support sometimes. Talk to your professors if you're havingtrouble with a class – they want you to succeed and can help you out. And don't forget about your friends and family back home. They love you and want to help you through any tough times. One of the most challenging things about college can be managing your time. There are so many things to do – classes, homework, extracurricular activities, and trying to have a social life. It can be really easy to feel overwhelmed and stressed out. That's why it's so important to make a schedule and stick to it. Set aside specific times for studying, going to class, and relaxing. And don't forget to schedule in some fun activities too!Another thing that can cause a lot of stress in college is worrying about the future. "What am I going to do after I graduate? Will I be able to find a job? What if I can't figure out what I want to do with my life?" These are all perfectly normal questions to have, but they can also be really stressful. The best thing to do is to take things one step at a time. Focus on doing your best in your classes and getting involved in activities that interest you. The rest will fall into place eventually.Lastly, remember that it's totally normal to feel stressed sometimes. College is a big transition and can be really challenging. But if you take care of yourself, find ways to relax, and ask for help when you need it, you'll be just fine. Even though college is really important, you still need to take breaks and do fun stuff you enjoy. Maybe play some video games, shoot hoops, or go to the park. My favorite is just running around the backyard pretending to be a ninja sending bad guys to the stratosphere. Hey, no judgies!Talk to your friends and familyIf you're feeling stressed, it's good to talk to people who care about you. They can listen, give advice, and make you feel better. Like when I failed that math test, my parents gave me a huge hug and said it's not the end of the world. Then my best friend Johnny and I went to get ice cream and he cheered me up by making armpit fart noises. Mature, I know, but it worked!Get enough sleepCranky kids are no fun, and cranky adults are even worse! If you don't get enough sleep, you'll be super grumpy and struggles will seem way harder than they are. Trust me, I become a revenge-crazed lunatic monster when I'm tired. Aim for like 10 hours a night minimum. Maybe a couple extra on the weekends if you stayed up too late.Eat good foodsYou've got to fuel your body with healthy premium gasoline, not that cheap stuff that'll make you feel icky. Lots of fruits, veggies, and protein will help keep your energy and brain power up. Ohh and don't forget a multivitamin like my dad takes! Those have all the nutrition needed to fight off nasty stress germs.Exercise and stretchThis one is super important! Getting your body moving and blood pumping is a great way to reduce stress. It's like a recess for your mind and muscles. My favorite exercises are jumping on the trampoline, riding my bike, and doing underdog impersonations on the floor. The floor always wins though because doing the underdog is really hard. I'm not some elastic gymnastic superboy!Think positive!Having a negative, grumpy attitude will only make situations feel worse than they are. Try to think optimistic, happy thoughts instead! Sure, things can be tough, but don't make a mountain out of a molehill as my grandpa says. Like if you failed a test, just be like "Oh well, there's always next time! I'll study harder." Notlike "I'M A FAILURE AND I'LL NEVER SUCCEED IN LIFE" because yeesh, way to bum yourself out!Ask for helpThere's no shame in needing assistance sometimes! We all hit roadblocks where we get stuck and confused. That's when you should ask a teacher, friend, or superhero for their advice and wisdom. My personal favorite superhero is Ooze-Man, the gunky green fighter who battles villain slime creatures. But he's not real, so I usually ask my mom or dad for help instead. They're almost as awesome! So those are my top tips for dealing with college stress and pressure from an 8-year-old expert! Hopefully Janey and any other stressed students out there find this advice helpful. Just remember to take breaks, talk to your loved ones, get sleep, eat healthy, exercise, stay positive, and ask for help when needed. Adulting is hard, but you got this! Thanks for reading, and don't forget to be awesome!篇4How to Beat the Big Bad University Stress Monster!Hi there, friends! It's me, your pal Tommy. College can be super fun with lots of new friends and activities. But it can also be really stressful with tons of homework, tests, and trying to figure out your future career. I don't have all the answers, but I'll share what I've learned so far!The first big pressure is all the homework and studying. In college, professors expect you to spend way more time on your own reading, writing papers, and studying for tests compared to high school. You have to be really organized and manage your time well. My advice? Get a big calendar or planner and writedown all your assignments, exam dates, and activities. Breaking bigger projects into smaller steps with deadlines can make them feel much less overwhelming. It also really helps to have good study habits. Find a quiet place with few distractions like loud music or your phone going off constantly. Take breaks every hour to stretch and recharge. And don't try to pull an all-nighter right before a big test - getting enough sleep is crucial for your brain to lock in what you've studied.Speaking of sleep, another major pressure is simply having wayyyy too much to do and not enough hours in the day. College involves a ton of juggling - classes, homework, jobs or internships, clubs and sports, trying to see friends and family. You can't do it all! Prioritize what's most important each semester and learn to politely say no to extra commitments. Trying to be superhuman will only lead to burnout.Money worries are another huge source of stress. College is stupid expensive these days with tuition, housing, food, books, and all those random fees they sneak in. Unless your parents are loaded, you'll probably need loans, scholarships, work-study jobs, you name it. It can be really anxiety-provoking to potentially start your career path deep in debt. My tips? Apply for everyscholarship you can find. See if you can cut costs by living at home, getting a meal plan, using free campus resources. And look for paid internships or jobs aligned with your interests to start making money and connections now.Which brings me to maybe the biggest pressure - choosing a major and future career. This can feel like the most Important Decision of Your Life. But you don't have to have it all figured out right away! Use your first year or two to explore different subjects by taking a wide variety of courses. Get internships or volunteer in multiple fields. Talk to professionals already working jobs you're considering. Chances are you'll change your plan several times, and that's OK. The goal is to find something that fits your skills, values andpassions - not just chasing after high pay or pleasing your parents. On that note, don't forget to make time for your mental health. All this pressure and life changes can zap your happiness and wellbeing. Signs you need a break include feeling overwhelmed, having troubles sleeping or concentrating, losing motivation, unexplained aches and pains, and just feeling generally crummy. Exercising, getting outdoors, hanging with friends, or just veg'ing for a bit can recharge your batteries. Anddon't hesitate to use campus counseling resources if you're really struggling. Your mind is just as important as your grades!Another big mental challenge can be dealing withnew-found independence and different social pressures. Away from your usual support system, you may face things like homesickness, peer pressure to drink or use drugs, rude roommates, ideas that clash with your values, and so on. It's crucial to build a new support network of people who want the best for you. Develop self-confidence and stay true to who YOU want to be.Lastly, you may face extra pressures if you're a minority student, LGBTQ, have a disability, are an immigrant or international student, etc. Unfortunately discrimination and lack of belonging is still very real. But colleges should have clubs, mentors and resources to help you navigate these challenges. Don't go through it alone! The bottom line is, some pressure is normal and can motivate you. But too much can sabotage your health and performance. By prioritizing, managing your time, taking breaks, and asking for help篇6How to Deal with Big Kid School StressHi friends! Today I want to talk about something really important - dealing with stress when you're a big kid in college. I know I'm just a little elementary school squirt, but I've heard my older siblings and cousins talk about how hard and stressful college can be. It sounds super tough! But I've picked up some good tips that I think could really help if you ever feel worried, anxious or overwhelmed when you're a university student.First up, get plenty of sleep! My mom is always nagging me about getting enough shut-eye, and she's right. Sleep is so important, especially when you have lots of studying and classes. When you're tired, everything feels way harder and more stressful. I heard that college kids sometimes stay up way too late, but that's no good! Aim for 8-10 hours per night to keep your energy up. Maybe invest in a cute alarm clock that makes you excited to wake up. Oh, and take naps too if you need them!Another really important thing is to exercise and get some fresh air. Don't spend all day inside studying or you'll go crazy! Play sports, go for walks, ride your bike, anything to get moving. Exercise makes you feel good by releasing happy chemicals in your brain. And being outdoors in nature is proven to reduce stress and make you feel calmer. My favorite is going to the parkand playing on the swings and monkey bars. Such an awesome stress-buster!Eating right is key too when you're a busy college kid. Don't just survive on pizza and energy drinks! That's a recipe for feeling icky. Make sure to get lots of fruits, veggies, fiber, protein and healthy fats to keep your energy stable. Maybe keep a stash of nuts, seeds, and fresh fruit in your backpack for on-the-go snacking between classes. And drink tons of water - it's so good for you!Another top tip is to make sure you take breaks. I know you'll have a ton of homework and studying, but that's even more reason to give your brain a rest sometimes. Do something fun like playing video games, coloring/drawing, reading comics, or whatever hobbies you're into. Giving yourself little mental breaks will help you stay refreshed. Just don't go too overboard with the fun stuff! It's also really important to hang out with friends and not just isolate yourself while studying. You'll go crazy if you don't get social time! Make plans to grab meals together, go to parties, movies, or just hang out and chat. Having a good belly laugh with friends is incredible for busting stress. Friends can also helpyou keep things in perspective when you're freaking out about a test or assignment.Speaking of tests, make sure you're preparing properly so you don't feel overwhelmed at the last minute. Use a calendar to keep track of all your due dates. Start studying for tests way in advance by reviewing notes a little bit each day. Make your own flashcards and quizzes. Form study groups with classmates so you can learn together. Asking your professors for help is smart too!If you're ever feeling completely overwhelmed, don't be afraid to ask for help. That's what parents, counselors, advisors, and tutors are there for. Struggling with intense stress alone is no good. Getting support can make all the difference.Lastly, don't forget to make time for fun! College shouldn't just be books, books, books. Do activities you enjoy like joining clubs, going to sports games, attending events on campus. Get out and explore the town you're living in. This will help bigtime with avoiding burnout from too much work.Well, that's my advice for dealing with big kid college stress! Sleep, exercise, eat well, take breaks, see friends, prepare properly, get support if needed, and leave room for fun. Follow those tips and you'll be managing that stress like a champ!College is still hard work, but it'll be so much better if you take care of yourself. Good luck!。
