Describle a shop or a market that you like to go toI would like to talk about my favourite shopping center, since I don't go to many restaurants or bars. My favourite shopping place inXi'an is called Huajie Street. It is just a narrow alley running besides the Great Mosque with many small souvenir and antique shops. It's a very good place just to do some browsing, and is one of the best places in China to pick up souvenirs like name chops or chiming steel balls. I always go there to do some shopping for old things and antiques. Usually if I go it will be on a weekday, because it's not as crowded and you can bargain more easily. Another reason I like it is because you can fmd some of the best miniature wire furniture. I don't know if you've ever seen these things, but they are made quite carefully and skilfully, and they look very nice in a living room. Why is it my favourite? To me there's nothing like it in other places. Some of the stuff is quite overpriced because they get a lot oftourists coming in, but a local person like me, with a distinguishable accent from this area, can usually cut to the chase and get to the realistic price in a hurry. It never seems to amaze me what kinds of old things they find to sell there. You almost feel as if you are walking around a museum. I know a lot of it might be fake, but to me it doesn't matter, because when you look at it, you think of the past. I have bought some stuff there before, and when I put it in my house it always becomes a conversation piece with my guests. They always tell me I could get these things cheaper elsewhere, but the truth is that you may not find it at other places, except perhaps by chance.。

雅思口语解析Part2 1-15题

1.Describe a shop that just opened in your hometown You should say: Where the shop is When it opened What it sellsand how you feel about the shop解析:话题要求描述家乡新开的一个商店,你可以具体描述一下它是一个什么样的商店,比如文具店、玩具店、时装店、时尚精品买手店等等。

描述时可以从它的装修特色、吸引的人群、自己是否喜欢这家店等方面展开。

Talking about the shop that just opened, the first thing came to me is a select shop opened last month in my hometown. It is located in the downtown business area where there are many fancy shopping malls and high-grade office buildings. Plenty of people pass by it everyday. In the shop, there are many luxury goods from different famous brands like Coach, Calvin Klein, Michael Kors etc, and there are also many goods with no names but good quality. There are many categories of goods like glasses, purses, bags and clothes, and all these goods are selected by the owner from different places. You can always find something you like there. So it is quite popular among white-collars who work in that area.To me, this place is great. Its decoration is quite delicate and exotic. It has large French windows and the shop is divided into different exhibition parts. All goods are exhibited orderly on the shelf. Besides, I like the owner of the shop. She is a chic young lady who has a good taste. She has traveled to many different places in the world and selected all the goods by herself. She likes to share her travel experiences and understanding of fashion with her customers. So she is like a friend to me.2.Describe a quiet place You should say:What you can do thereWho you would like to go withand explain how you feel about this place解析:话题要求描述一个安静的地方,可以是图书馆、公园、书店、村庄等等。

雅思口语购物范文

雅思口语购物范文

雅思口语购物范文Part 1: Do you like shopping?Well, you know, shopping can be like a double edged sword for me. Sometimes I'm all for it, like when I'm on the hunt for something really cool, like a new pair of sneakers. I love scouring through different stores, checking out all the latest styles. But then there are those days when shopping just feels like a chore. For example, when I have to go grocery shopping and the supermarket is super crowded. It's like being in a battlefield, trying to dodge all those trolleys and people!Part 2: Describe a recent shopping experience.I'll tell you about this time I went shopping for a dress for afriend's wedding. I walked into this big shopping mall, and it was like a whole new world of fashion. There were so many stores, it was almost overwhelming.I first went into a high end store. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by this really posh sounding salesperson. She was all smiles, but I could tell she was sizing me up, probably thinking about how much money I might spend. I started looking at the dresses, and man, some of them had price tags that made my eyes pop out! But I thought, well, it's a special occasion, so I might as well try a few.I picked out this one dress that looked really elegant on the hanger. When I tried it on, it was a different story. It made me look like awalking Christmas tree, with all these frills and sequins in all the wrong places. I came out of the fitting room, and the salesperson was stilltrying to be all nice, but I could see in her eyes that she knew it was a disaster too.So, I thanked her and moved on to a more affordable store. There, I found this simple yet really stylish dress. It was a light blue color, andit fit me like a glove. The best part was, it was on sale! I felt like Ihad hit the jackpot. I bought it right away, and I was so happy. I walked out of the store feeling like a million bucks, already imagining myself looking great at the wedding.Part 3: What are the differences between shopping in big cities and small towns?Well, let me tell you, shopping in big cities is like being in a shopping wonderland. There are huge shopping malls with all kinds of international and high end brands. You can find the latest fashion trends from all over the world. For example, in a big city like London or New York, you can walk into a store and see the same collections that are shown onthe runways in Paris. The variety of products is just amazing. There are stores dedicated to just one type of thing, like a store that only sells different kinds of tea or a place that has every kind of gadget you can think of. And the shopping experience is also different. There are often a lot of events in big city stores, like fashion shows or product launches. On the other hand, shopping in small towns has its own charm. It's more personal. The store owners usually know their customers really well. You might walk into a small boutique, and the owner will remember what you bought last time and even give you some advice on what would look good on you.But of course, the selection in small towns is much more limited. You won't find those super fancy designer labels. And the prices might be a bit higher in small towns for some items because they don't have the same kindof economies of scale as the big city stores. But overall, it's a more laid back and friendly shopping environment.。

Firstly then, with regard to what it sells, well I'm not sure if you're familiar with H&M, but it's basically a mid-end clothes shop which sells a variety of women's and men's clothing, mostly geared towards young adults like myself. And as well as clothing, the shop also has a small accessories section for women, with things like hair bands, bracelets and earrings, but the main focus is definitely on clothes. Anyway, as for when I first started going to this shop, well to be totally honest with you, I'm really not that sure, but off the top of my head, I guess I must have first started shopping there two or three years ago, round about the time I was in high school, because I seem to vaguely remember one of my high-school classmates telling me about it, and how good it was. So that's kind of how I got to know about H&M, and finally, regarding why I like shopping there, well I suppose it's really a combination of reasons, one of which would be that the clothes there, on the whole, tend to be quite fashionable and trendy, unlike the stuff I see in many other shops, and the clothes are pretty simple in style, which is exactly what I like. So that's one thing, and I guess another reason would be that everything there is really good-value, and just to give you an example, a decent pair of jeans there costs around three hundred yuan, whereas a similar pair at another shop would probably set you back a thousand yuan or so, and in terms of quality, well, there's really not that much difference between H&M's clothes and the higher-end brands, but you're paying considerably less. So yeah, I would say these are, more or less, the main reasons why I like shopping there, and I would probably go so far as saying it's become one of the most popular clothes shops here in my hometown, and I just hope they continue to keep their prices as low as they are! That's pretty much it then, so thanks for listening. 雅思⼝语Part 2&3考官范⽂:喜欢去的商店 Describe a shop you like to go to. what shop it is what it sells (or, what you usually buy there) when you first started going to this shop (or, how you came to know about this shop) and explain why you like (to go to) this shop. 考官范⽂: Well, it took me a few moments to decide on which shop to talk about, because I actually like going to quite a number of different shops around my hometown, but possibly my favourite is H&M, so that's the one I'm gonna describe.
