1. Well, I totally disagree with the idea that money can buy happiness. I mean, sure, money can buy you things that make you happy in the moment, but real happiness comes from experiences, relationships, and personal fulfillment.2. It's like, you can have all the money in the world, but if you're not surrounded by people who love and support you, what's the point? Happiness is about connection and feeling like you belong, not about how much cash you havein the bank.3. Plus, think about all the rich and famous people who are constantly in the media for their personal problems and unhappiness. Clearly, money didn't buy them happiness. It's about so much more than just material wealth.4. And let's not forget that some of the happiest people in the world are those who have very little in terms of material possessions. They find joy in simple things andhave strong communities to lean on. Money has nothing to do with their happiness.5. In the end, I think it's pretty clear that money and happiness are not directly related. Sure, financialstability can relieve stress and provide opportunities, but true happiness comes from within and from the people and experiences that fill our lives, not from the size of our bank account.。

Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed judges, and fellow debaters,Good evening. Today, I stand before you to discuss a topic that is of paramount importance to the societal fabric of our nation: the value of public education. The motion before us is: "Public education is more important than private education." As we delve into this debate, it is crucial to understand the multifaceted nature of education and itsimpact on our communities.Firstly, let us consider the accessibility of public education. Unlike private education, which is often reserved for the wealthy, public education is open to all, regardless of socio-economic status. This inclusivity ensures that every child has the opportunity to receive a quality education, regardless of their background. In a country that prides itself on equality and justice, it is imperative that we provide equal opportunities for all, and public education is the cornerstone of this principle.Public education also fosters a sense of community and national identity. By attending the same schools as their neighbors, students are morelikely to develop a sense of belonging and shared purpose. This sense of community is essential for the functioning of a democratic society, asit encourages civic engagement and a sense of social responsibility. In contrast, private education can often create a sense of elitism and isolation, as students may be shielded from the diversity of their peers and the broader community. Moreover, public education is subject to greater oversight and accountability. Public schools are accountable to taxpayers and local government, which ensures that they remain focused on the needs of the community. This accountability is crucial for maintaining high standards and ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently. Private schools, on the other hand, may prioritize profit over the educational needs of their students, leading to a lack of transparency and potential exploitation.Economic benefits cannot be overlooked when discussing the importance of public education. A well-educated workforce is essential for theeconomic growth and competitiveness of any nation. Public education provides a solid foundation in critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, which are vital for success in the modern workplace. By investing in public education, we are investing in the future of our economy and the prosperity of our society.Furthermore, public education plays a significant role in social mobility. It provides individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds with the tools and knowledge they need to break the cycle of poverty and achieve their dreams. By ensuring that every child has access to a quality education, we are promoting a more equitable society and reducing the disparities that divide us.While private education may offer certain advantages, such as specialized curricula and smaller class sizes, these benefits are not universal. Many private schools lack the resources and diversity that public schools can provide. Additionally, the emphasis on individual achievement in private schools can sometimes come at the expense of social and emotional development, which are equally important for awell-rounded education. In conclusion, public education is more important than private education due to its accessibility, community-building potential, accountability, economic benefits, and role in social mobility. By investing in public education, we are investing in the future of our nation and ensuringthat every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to a spirited debate.[End of Speech]。

1. The topic of today's debate is whether or not social media has a positive impact on society. In my opinion, social media has both positive and negative impacts on society. On the one hand, social media has made it easierfor people to connect with each other and share information. It has also given a voice to marginalized groups who maynot have had a platform to express their views before. However, on the other hand, social media can also be a source of misinformation and cyberbullying.2. Let's start with the positive impacts of social media. Social media has made it easier for people toconnect with each other, regardless of their location. This has been especially important during the COVID-19 pandemic, where people have had to stay physically distant from each other. Social media has also made it easier for people to share information and ideas, which has led to greater collaboration and innovation.3. Another positive impact of social media is that it has given a voice to marginalized groups. Before social media, these groups may not have had a platform to express their views and concerns. Now, they can use social media to connect with like-minded individuals and raise awareness about their issues. This has led to greater social justice and equality.4. However, social media also has negative impacts on society. One of the biggest issues is the spread of misinformation. Social media algorithms prioritize content that is more engaging, regardless of whether it is true or not. This has led to the spread of conspiracy theories and fake news, which can have serious consequences.5. Another negative impact of social media is cyberbullying. Social media provides a platform for people to anonymously harass and bully others. This can have a devastating impact on the mental health and well-being of the victim.6. In conclusion, social media has both positive andnegative impacts on society. While it has made it easier for people to connect and share information, it has also led to the spread of misinformation and cyberbullying. It is up to us as individuals to use social media responsibly and critically evaluate the information we see online.。

Nowadays, ATM assumes an important part in people’s life. Like anything else, ATM has both favorable and unfavorable aspects.ATM has so many advantages. In the first place, ATM is convenient. People can draw money from it with a card everywhere. Besides, it is safe. If you lose your card, you don’t need to worry about it because people have to enter password in order to get money. Most important of all, when people need money at night, they can find a round-clock ATM and easily draw his money. Therefore, ATM solves the problem of money shortage.Just as everything has two sides, ATM is of no exception. To begin with,if someone inputs a wrong password three times by chance, ATM will withhold the card. To make matter worse, sometimes there is no money in some ATM, which makes people in urgent need of money quite disappointed or even indignant. Worst of all, if someone forgets password, he will not draw money from ATM. There is sometimes a long queue in front of ATM, which wastes a lot of time.Despite these disadvantages, an increasing number of people tend to use the ATM for the sake of/out of convenience and safety. I believe the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. And the drawbacks of the ATM will be desired little by little. For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a composition on the topic Can Money Buy Happiness? You should write no less than 100 words and you should base your composition on the outline (given in Chinese) below:1. 也有人认为金钱是万恶之源(root of all evil)3. Can money buy happiness? Various people have various answers. Some people think that money is the source of happiness. With money, one can buy whatever he enjoys. With money, one can do whatever he likes. So, in their minds, money can bring comfort, security, and so on. Money, as they think, is the source of happiness. But there are still a lot of others who think that money is the root of all evil. Money drives people to steal, to rob, and to break the law. A lot of peoplebecame criminals just because they were in search of money. And in the Western countries, there is nothing that can’t be bought by money. Many people lose their own lives when hunting it.I think that money is essential to life and we cannot do without money. But even though money is necessary to life, it can’t buy happiness. Happiness is not something that can be measured by money. It is a state of mind. One can have plenty of money, with which he can buy whatever he wants, and at the same time he is not happy because he is never satisfied or he is troubled by various kinds of problems. Therefore, although money is necessary for a happy life, it can’t buy happiness. For this part, you are allowed thirty minutes to write a composition on the topic Reading Selectively Or Extensively? You should write at least 100 words, and base your composition on the outline (given in Chinese) below:1. 我的看法Reading Selectively Or Extensively范文:Some people think when we read we should read selectively. That is to say, we should select some books we are interested in and ignore the others. Reading selectively can help us concentrate our limited time and attention on those selected books.Others think we should read extensively. No matter what kind of book it is, we should look it over. We should read various kinds of books, whether we are interested in them or not. They maintain that reading extensively can help to enlarge our view and grasp the general knowledge in different fields. In my opinion, the two reading ways have their roles respectively in our reading. However, the disadvantages of each methods are easy to see. If we only read the books we select or prefer, the framework of our knowledge may not be complete. Our knowledge would be rather limited. And if we read without selection, we may not have so much time and energy to be specialized in oneparticular field. Therefore, the combination of the two methods is more reasonable.。
