初一英语演讲小故事篇一The City Mouse and the Country MouseOnce there were two mice, and they were friends. One mouse lived in the country, and the other mouse lived in the city. Many years later, the country mouse saw the city mouse and said, “Do come and see me at my house in the country.” So the city mouse followed him. The country mouse led the city mouse to his house which lay in a field, and he took out all the wonderful food. But the city mouse said, “This food is not good, and your house is not good, either. Why do you live in a hole in the field? You should come and live in the city. You would live in a nice house made of stone. You would have nice food to eat. You must come and see me at my house in the city.”从前,有两只老鼠,它们是好朋友。

10个英语小故事越短越好Once upon a time, in a small village, there lived a wise old man. He was known for his wisdom and was always sought after for advice. One day, a young boy approached him and asked, "Sir, can you please share with me a short English story?"The old man smiled and began his tale:1. The Talking TreeIn a magical forest, there was a tree that could talk. It would share its wisdom with anyone who approached it. One day, a young girl visited the tree and asked for advice on how to be kind. The tree replied, "Kindness is like a seed. Plant it in your heart, nurture it with love, and watch it grow into a beautiful tree of compassion."2. The Brave Little MouseOnce, in a cozy little house, there lived a small mouse named Milo. One day, a big cat entered the house, causing panic among all the mice. But Milo, instead of hiding, decided to face the cat. He bravely stood up to the cat, scaring it away. From that day on, Milo became a hero in the mouse community, teaching them to be fearless.3. The Clever AntsIn a busy anthill, there were two ants named Andy and Annie. They were known for their cleverness. One day, they came across a piece of food that was too big to carry. Instead of giving up, they decided to work together. By using their teamwork and creativity, they managed to break the food into smaller pieces, carrying it back to the anthill. This taught them the power of cooperation and problem-solving.4. The Lonely CloudIn the vast sky, there was a lonely cloud named Charlie. He felt sad, always drifting alone. One day, he met a group of other clouds. They embraced him and showed him thebeauty of friendship. From then on, Charlie was never alone, and together, they created breathtaking rainbows and provided shade on sunny days.5. The Lost KiteOnce, there was a colorful kite that got separated from its owner. It flew higher and higher, but as the wind changed, it began to lose altitude. Luckily, a kind girl found the kite and returned it to its owner. The kite was grateful and learned the importance of belonging and appreciating the ones who care for us.6. The Generous FarmerIn a small village, there lived a farmer named John. He had a bountiful harvest and decided to share his crops with those in need. The villagers were grateful for his generosity and helped him during times of need. The lesson learned was that kindness and generosity always come back in unexpected ways.7. The Curious TurtleIn a serene pond, there lived a curious turtle named Timmy. He loved exploring and learning about the world around him. One day, he swam too far and got lost. Luckily, he met a wise old turtle who guided him back to his home. Timmy learned the importance of curiosity and the need to seek guidance when faced with challenges.8. The Determined SpiderIn a quiet corner, a spider named Sally built a delicate web. Despite facing constant destruction, she never gave up. With each failed attempt, Sally rebuilt her web, making it stronger and more resilient. Her determination and perseverance taught her the value of never giving up, no matter the obstacles.9. The Honest WoodcutterOnce, there was a woodcutter who accidentally dropped his axe into a deep pond. The water was too deep, and he couldn't retrieve it. Suddenly, a magical mermaid appeared, offering a golden axe. The woodcutter, being honest, declined and admitted hismistake. The mermaid was impressed by his honesty and rewarded him by returning his original axe. The lesson here is that honesty is always the best policy.10. The Magical MirrorIn a distant land, there was a magical mirror. It had the power to show people their true selves. Many were afraid to look into it, fearing what they might see. However, those who were brave enough to confront their flaws were able to grow and become better versions of themselves. The old man concluded his stories, leaving the young boy inspired and filled with wisdom. "Remember," the wise old man said, "even the shortest stories can carry the most profound messages."And so, the young boy left, carrying the lessons from the 10 short English stories in his heart, ready to face the world with newfound wisdom.。

The Crow and the Water Bottle
It was a scorching hot summer day. One crow was very thirsty. "I'm so thirsty." The thirsty crow roamed around looking for water. After flying for a long time, the crow found a water bottle in one of the farmer's yard. The crow was so happy that he was able to have a drink.
The crow put his beak into the bottle. However, because the bottle was so long, he was not able to reach the water. The crow was exhausted.
'Should I go some other place for a drink?' He thought. However, because his wings were damage, he was not able to move. "What shall I do?”
The crow flew round and round the farmer's yard, and thought. "Sure, that's what I will do." The crow had an idea.
With all his strength, the crow started picking up stones. "One, two." He did this several times until the bottle was filled with stones. Then the crow drank a lot of water. Finally, the crow had enough strength to fly again.

Two Travelers and the Bear
Once upon a time, two young men were walking along the mountain trail. They were very close friends.
But, all of a sudden, a bear showed up. Shocked, the young men were looking for a place to hide. One fellow hid himself by climbing up a tree, but the other one was unable to run away.
When the bear pounced upon him, the fellow who could not run away threw himself flat down upon the ground and pretended to be dead. The young man on the ground held his breath and stayed still. The bear, coming up to him, put his muzzle close to the man, and sniffed. "He's dead. I don't eat dead meat."
The bear left the young man along and went away. After the bear was gone, the friend in the tree came down. Wiping away his cold sweat, the friend asked, "What did the bear say to you?"
"Oh, the bear told me", said the other, "Not to hang out with a friend who runs away when a risky situation occurs."
After hearing him, the young man who climbed up the tree alone felt sorry for his behavior. Friends mean being there for each other even when danger comes.
