区分die (v.) dead (adj.) death (n.)注意:die是非延续性动词,如果和段时间连用需要转换成be dead 表示状态。

用上面三个词的适当形式完成句子。

1)区分sick (sickness) ill (illness)sick 生病的,患病的,可作定语,也可作表语。

ill一般不放在名词前作定语。

eg. At the last minute I ____ ____and couldn’t go . 我在最后一刻病倒,结果不能去。

He’s gone to visit his _____mother. 他已经去看望他生病的妈妈了。

Unluckily,the poor boy developed __ ____ ____.不幸的是,这个可怜的男孩得了一场重病。

2) develop 动词,在此处意为“患病,得病”。

The old person _____ ____ _____ ________. (这位老人得了一种重病)。

9.marry 的用法。

marry 动词,译为“嫁;娶;与…结婚”eg. He married Lucy in 2019. 他2019年娶了Lucy.注意:(1)表示“和某人结婚”,用marry sb. 不加任何介词。

(2)marry 是非延续性动词,不能和表示一段时间的状语连用。

和段时间连用表示状态时用be married.eg. They ____ ____ ______for eight years.他们结婚八年了。
