傲慢与偏见英语读后感(一)Love seems to be the perpetual theme all over the world. But actually what is love? For most girls in 20s, love may mean everything to them. They seek for love bravely no matter what difficulties they may face. In their eyes, love is pure or even holy. However, those are just an ideal situation, n real life; people tend to find a balance between love and property.Pride and prejudice is Austin’s great work. Through the discussion of the different marriages and love, the writer demonstrates her concept about love and marriage: love and marriage is closely associated with property and society, however, love and marriage can not only be decided by the property and social status. An ideal marriage should be based on mutual affection, respect and the same interest. She rejects the marriage based only on wealth.Different people have different ideas upon marriage. By the description and discussion of the four marriages in the novel, we can see that Austen fully expresses her views on love and marriage. Only by appreciating the marriage founded on the basis of mutual understanding and true love, but also by satirizing the marriage founded on the basis of origin and desire. The marriage based on social position and money can’t bring happiness in life. Aimless marriage and love are unpractical.Everything goes wrong for poor couples. Marriage based onwealth is not a fault. At least, it can offer us a better condition of life. Property is not everything in the life but without it, we can do nothing. This is called reality. But if you only married for wealth, you sell your liberty. The rest of your life might be miserable, and your marriage will filled with endless bitterness. 傲慢与偏见英语读后感(二)“Pride and prejudice” is the famous British writer Jane Austen masterpiece, the works in daily life for material, the romantic and reality love story.Works of vivid reflects the late eighteenth to well into the nineteenth century in the conservative and block state of the British town life and ways of the world. Its social graffiti novel at that time if not only attracts the general reader, real to this day, still give the reader a unique art enjoyment.First of all, from story to see, Elizabeth resourcefulness, have courage, these have vision, have very strong self-respect, and be good at thinking. Just then a an unmarried ladies the lady of speaking, this is valuable. And also it is this quality, just make her in love have independent initiative, and led to her and happy family of darcy. In my opinion, Elizabeth is worthy of praise. In the way of the pursuit of love, be sure to a firm belief, not for money, fame, wealth, or any other cause carelessly decided to, want to hold to find true love. If the other party to some of the defect is himself can't stand, but also what can't change it, you should give up the resolute choice; Of course should also to cherish each other, not because of some of the others words, they change their decision, happiness to yourself to the business. This is the book want to communicate to the world is very precious words, is also to the heart of the pursuit of love chicken soup.Reading this book, I be a lifetime earnings, enjoy the spiritualbaptism.。

傲慢与偏见英文读后感(15篇):herhis傲慢与偏见英文读后感第1篇:There is no doubt that Pride and Prejudice is well-known, the book that is written by Jane Austen has an influence on the culture。
As far as I’m concerned ,the ending of the fiction is wonderful, Elizabeth and Darcy won their happiness, leading a colourful life 。
First of all, let’s learn about the author who is Jane Austen 。
She was unmarried all her life。
She was born in a mid-class family and was brought up in a fortable environment with harmonious surroundings,so there’s not too many conflicts in her sight neither in her novel。
In Pride and Prejudice she talked different ideas about love and marriage through different characters。
Jane Austen disclosed mid-class young ladies’ different ideas of marriage and love through describing the different ways in which the Bennet girls doing with their marriage problems, and this undoubtedly shows the writer’s idea about love and marriage: it’s wrong to get married just for property, wealth and status while neither would it be without caring about those elements。

The scope of this work is only three or four families in a village, with Elizabeth as the main character. The main plot is nothing more than the chat about marriage and property in the front of the fireplace and in the meeting of relatives and friends, the bee chase and butterfly chase in the market, church, dance, banquet and other occasions, and the love talk. The arrogance of Darcy and the prejudice of the *e all have obvious class attribute. Their frustrations in love are not due to their accidental misunderstanding, but because there is an inevitable gap between the two sides in different class status. Elizabeth, as a middle-class mon girl, only by virtue of the charm of her personality and her excellent quality, won the fame and fortune of the noble young master, and finally became a good couple with her. This is another copy of Cinderellas story. The same is true in life. Only by putting down the arrogant attitude, throwing away the prejudiced vision, treating with empathy, and understanding each other through munication, can we know each other. Like Mr. Darcy in the book, although the appearance gives the impression of arrogance, arrogance and superciliousness. But the heart is kind and sincere and willing to let go, its attitude of not stubborn is really appreciated.名著《傲慢与偏见》英语读后感篇三This is a story about an orphans growing path. She perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time and gave the people in her works vivid characters. The characters have their own personalities. Mrs. Bennet is a woman who makes great efforts to marry off her daughters. Mr. Bingley is a friendly young man, but his friend, Mr. Darcy, is a very proud man who seems to always feel superior. Even the five daughters in Bennet family are very different. Jane is simple, innocent and never speaks evil of others. Elizabeth is a clever girl who always has her own opinion. Mary likes reading classic books. (Actually she is a pedant.) Kitty doesn’t have her own opinion but likes to follow her sister, Lydia. Lydia is a girl who follows exotic things, handsome man, and is somehow a little profligate. When I read the book, I can always find the same personalities in the society now. That is why I think this book is indeed the representative of the society in Britain in the 18th century. The family of gentleman in the countryside is Jane Austen’s favourite topic. But this little topic can reflect big problems. It concludes the stratum situation and economic relationships in Britain in her century. You can find these from the very beginning of this book. The first sentence in this book is impressive. I t reads: “It is atruth well known to all the world that an unmarried man in possession of a large fortune must be in need of a wife”. The undertone is very clear: the foundation of the marriage at that time is not emotion but possession.People always think that Austen was an expert at telling love stories. In fact, the marriage in her book is not the result of love, but the result of economic needs. After reading this book, I know the truth is that a poor woman must be in need of a husband, a wealthy man.I couldn’t forget how eager Mrs. Bennet wants to marry off her daughters. If you want to know why she is so crazy about these things, I must mention the situation in Britain at that time. Only the eldest son had the privilege of inheriting his father’s possessions. Younger sons and daughters who are used to luxurious lives have no choice but marry a man or woman in possession of a large fortune to continue their comfortable lives. Thus, we can see that getting married is a way to become wealthier, particularly for women without many possessions. Jane Austen told us that money and possession determined everything, including marriage and love in her century. In “Pride and Prejudice”, the sister of Mr. Bingley strongly opposed his plan of marrying Jane because the Bennets don’t have many possessions and their social positions are much lower than them. From this, we can see there are a lot of obstacles for a not very rich woman to marry a wealthy husband. The society, the relatives would not allow them to get married. In modern society, although the marriages of economic needs have decreased rapidly, the concept of “money determines everything” is still rooted in some people’s mind.A lot of parents try hard to interfere their children’s marriages.Education background, possessions, jobs remains the main reason that may influence one’s marriage. Marry for money is still a big problem in our society. We can’t help thinking: can money determine everything?Austen left this problem for us to think. The genius of Jane Austen lies in this perfect simplicity, the simplicity that reflects big problems. Although Austen was only 21 when she wrote “Pride and Prejudice”, her sharp observation of social lives makes the style of this book surprisingly mature and lively. The plots in her works are always very natural. The development of the plot is as inevitable as a problem in mathematics. I think the depth of Pride and Prejudice is the reason that makes this book prominent and classic. Today, her book still can be the guide telling us the economic relationships both at her time and in modern time.傲慢与偏见读后感英文篇3"Pride and prejudice" is the famous British writer Jane Austen masterpiece, the works in daily life for material, the romantic and reality love story.Works of vivid reflects the late eighteenth to well into the nineteenth century in the conservative and block state of the British town life and ways of the world. 傲慢与偏见英文读后感(优秀8篇)《傲慢与偏见》英文读后感篇一Body:As we all know, if you know something about the authors background, you will appreciate the book on a profounder and better level. The book first published in 1813, as Jane Austen’s second novel, she started it 1796 as her first persevering effort for publication. She finished the original manuscript by 1797 in Steventon, Hampshire, where she lived with her parents and siblings in the town rectory. Austen originally called the story First Impressions, but it was never published under that title; instead, she made extensive revisions to the manuscript, then retitled and eventually published it as Pride and Prejudice. Austen in this novel was full of wit and humor reflected the late eighteenth Century, early nineteenth Century British country customs and living ways of the world, to give the art of imagination.(writing background) The book is mainly to tell the four couples’ marriages in eighteenth Century. One of the most important is naturally occurred between actress Elizabeth Bennet and actor Fitzwilliam Darcy about their hate and love. Elizabeth is a courageous, beautiful, smart, sturdy and lovable middle-class woman who pursues true love ignoring money and power. The story develops mainly relies on Elizabeth and Darcy, from the beginning of aversion to respect then love. Also, alternates in stories happen around Elizabeth’s happy or unhappy marriages to reveal the author’s hope living in true love at that era. The heroine Elizabeth first saw the male protagonist Darcy is not pleasing to her ey es, plus Darcy’s pride character causes Elizabeth to have prejudice against him. Darcy is unpopular arrogant man, even in the surrounding filled up cold relationship. For him, pride may be rational, however; prejudice may be heartless, both of which impact is unavoidable. Between two people there are often quarries and misunderstandingsconcerning Darcy’s pride and Elizabeth’s prejudice at the start. But after the events of clarification, they develop a little affection gradually. Darcy represents the “pride”,Elizabeth represents “prejudice”。

She was born in a mid-class family and was brought up in a fortable environment with harmonious surroundings,so there’s not too many conflicts in her sight neither in her novel。

Jane Austen disclosed mid-class young ladies’different ideas of marriage and love through describing the different ways in which the Bennet girls doing with their marriage problems, and this undoubtedly shows the writer’s idea about love and marriage: it’s wrong to get married just for property, wealth and status while neither would it be without caring about those elements。

《傲慢与偏见》英文观后感(精选5篇)第一篇:《傲慢与偏见》英文观后感Pride and prejudiceThe author of this article is Jane Austen. The main idea of this article is the four door of marriage began in England in Eighteenth Century.Hero Elizabeth Bennet was born in a rich family. There were seven people in her family. Her father her mother her four sisters and her. They had a simple and drab life. Her father was the only pillar of this family. He loved Elizabeth very much. The elder sister was inner simplicity. She fell in love with Mr.Bingley who was good looking, gentlemanlike. He had a pleasant countenance and easy, unaffected manners.A gleam of vanity came over the younger sister Lydia. She left no stone unturned in climbing up the top of the social status. It was miserable that she had a scotch marriage with the young officer Wickham. She almost ruined the whole family.Charlotte is Lizie’s girl friend. Finally, she took her cousin Collins in marriage.Although they never love each other, facing the fact that she was already 27 years old.In other words, she was too old.She needs a life security.Otherwise, she would be a burden on society. In her own words: “Not everyone can afford the romantic.”Pass through and pack the story of love certainly is Elizabeth and Mr.Darcy.Mr.Darcy, tall person, handsome features, his manners gave a disgust which turned the tide of his popularity. He looked “the proudest and most disagreeable”.When they meet for the first time, he expressed favor to Elizabeth who was clever and kind.Elizabeth prejudiced against his arrogant posture. So they had a misunderstanding each ter, in order to protectthe Bennets of fame, he agreed to the Wickham’s that let Lydia marry him.The he tried his best to make up for negligence to fix the relationship between Bingley and Jane. All this also gradually won Elizabeth’s heart. The love that met the challenge of Pride and Prejudice is not worth praising. But the British was filled of hierarchy in Eighteenth Century. So the marriage and love couldn’t witness the truth of love so that it because a means to inherited wealth. But Elizabeth also insisted that marriage should not be driven by money. She came over Pride and prejudice with her lover and got the marriage she wanted. All this embodied the value of love.In this story, Elizabeth is the representative of “Prejudice”.Mr.Darcy is the representative of “Pride”.Perhaps that is not possible for any one.It is necessary to avoid those weaknesses which often expose a strong understanding to ridicule.Pride and Prejudice is a weakness indeed.Prejudice—it is very easy to be driven by the subjective impression and have not correct ideas to others. No matter what, as long as you get to know more about something, you can get more objective conclusion.Pride—where there is a real superiority of mind, pride will be always under good regulation. All above are the feeling after reading Pride and prejudice11024220 崔桐第二篇:傲慢与偏见英文观后感Pride and PrejudiceAs we all know that, nowadays ladies want to marry gentlemen who are ‘high, wealthy and handsome,’ and almost all gentlemen like ‘white, wealthy and beautiful’ women. It seems that appearance and possessions have decided marriage to some extent. However, I do believe that we can learn a lot from Pri de and Prejudice. The first sentence in the movie reads, ‘Atruth well known to all the world that an unmarried man in possession of a large fortune must in need of a wife." It reflects the social phenomenon at that time.Miss Bennet was eager to marry her five daughters to rich men. However, the sister of Mr.Bingley strongly opposed his plan of marrying Jane because the Bennet don’t have many possessions and their social positions are much lower than them.Only the eldest son had the privilege of inheriting hi s father’s possessions.Younger sons and daughters who are used to luxurious lives have no choice but marry a man or woman in possession of a large fortune to continue their comfortable lives. We can see that getting married is a way to become wealthier, particularly for women without many possessions.True love seems very fragile and lovers have to face a lot pressure from their families. The difference in social status can be a big barrier keeping lovers away from each other.Only by appreciating the marriage founded on the basis of mutual understanding and true love, can a couplelive a happy life.Elizabeth and Darcy tried so hard to persuade their families and shatter the stereotypes.Eventually, they became a couple and lead a happy life from then on.From the ir wonderful marriage, we can conclude that it’s true love that matters most. For all the girls, their boyfriends may not be the richest guys in the world, but as long as they really care for us and we love each other, they can marry in the future.Sometimes, beautiful appearance and wealth may blind our eyes, I think it’s high time that we should think over love and make an important choice. The movie really impresses me a lot.Love is everything, and nothing can prevent true love.In such a society where every is pursuing for a large amount of wealth and good appearance, I think we really need to calm down.第三篇:傲慢与偏见英文观后感Pride and Prejudice is a famous movie. After seeing it I think it is really a interesting film.Elizabeth was the heroine of the story. She was beautiful, strong-minded, and kind-hearted.But I prefer the hero, Darcy.Darcy was handsome, rich but unsocial. When he first saw Elizabeth on the ball, he was soon absorbed by Elizabeth’s eyes, and he fell in love with her.But his proud appearance and farouche talk hurt Elizabeth and caused her prejudice to him.Darcy's pride causes him to look down on those who are in a lower social class, due to his mentality that he supersedes those who are not within his social circle.Given that Elizabeth Bennet is of a lower class than Darcy, this places immediate restrictions to their relationship.Elizabeth also displays significant pride. As time went by, all the ups and downs made Elizabeth more prejudiced against Darcy. When Darcy proposed to her, Elizabeth rejected it at once without any hesitation.Poor Darcy didn’t give up, he tried to clear the atmosphere and help her family out from the scandal. Finally, the misunderstanding was gone, they got together happily.Right that moment, none of a word could express my feeling.I never imagined that such kind of love could exist under such extreme pride and prejudice.I almost believed that the story would be true and it had ever happened somewhere sometime. There, people sang and danced and something sweetly changed without being noticed. From their love story I realize that it’s stupid to judge a person just by the first impression and always have prejudice on the person who you dislike, and pride sometimes will make you far away from the people. From the story, we can see, because Darcy’s proud, he offended the girl he loved, and because of the prejudice, Elizabeth was failed to see the merits of Darcy, butfortunately, they didn’t miss each other finally.Their love was romantic and also realistic. The marriage of Charlotte Lucas and Mr.Collins represented most of the marriages at that time. Most women and men got married for money and power. The marriage had nothing to do with love. The wives were regarded as the beautiful vases for decoration. The husbands took the “vases” with them to the social occasion everyday while thinking about their career advancement in their heart and never cared about the feelings of the “vases”.And what caused this? The essential reason was the low social position of the women.Even the ladies in the upper class only played the role of a housewife. And this kind of marriage is surely a tragedy of society. In modern society, although the marriages of economic needs have decreased rapidly, the concept of “money determines everything” is still rooted in some people's mind.A lot of parents try hard to interfere their children's cation background, possessions, jobs remains the main reason that may influence one’s marriage.Marry for money is still a big problem in our society. We can’t help thinking: can mo ney determine everything? From my opinion, I do not agree with this view.I think I can only get married because of love, and I'll never choose this kind of marriage under any situations.第四篇:傲慢与偏见英文观后感Pride and Prejudice As we all know that, nowadays ladies want to marry gentlemen who are ‘high, wealthy and handsome,’ and almost all gentlemen like ‘white, wealthy and beautiful’ women. It seems that appearance and possessions have decided marriage to some extent. However, I do believe that we can learn a lot from Pride and Prejudice. The first sentence in the movie reads, ‘A truth well known to all the world that anunmarried man in possession of a large fortune must in need of a wife." I don’t know.Maybe I just don’t understand the realistic society and life and people’s ideas at that time in England, or maybe I am just such a person that always has a prejudice against everybody. The main roles I want to talk about in this novel, of course, are Darcy and Elizabeth.First, I want to say something about Elizabeth. After hearing Darcy’s bad comment on her, she said the words “I will never dance with him” so easily and so unwisely. Here we can know she is arrogant and she can’t stand Darcy’s contempt. But we also can see that she said the words too easily and too absolutely without thinking. What a fool!Who can predict what’s going to happen next moment? None!Long after this matter, we all know that she did dance with Darcy. At that time she may already forget the words that she had said before. But I will never forget her arbitrariness That Elizabeth believed Wickham’s words makes me more dislike her. It’s a common sense that one couldn’t be a real good guy, if he can say hurtful things about someone else naturally and directly. But Elizabeth believed. Now that she hated Darcy or you can say she had a prejudice toward Darcy from the very start, she can totally ignore him. However she cared about it very much.Maybe she started to love Darcy the minute she began to have a prejudice towards him.But who knows, and even she herself did not know.Another scene that Darcy showed his love to Elizabeth makes me totally dislike her, especially the words she said that “you are the last man in the world I could ever marry”.She said such irresponsible and hurtful things withoutany consideration.Actually, she misunderstood everything.I just want to say she is a sad and hateful person. What’s worse, she’s also a gutless person. Finally, she knew Wickham cheated her and Darcy was innocent and Darcy was a perfect gentleman. She found that she had already fallen in love with Darcy deeply. However, she did nothing but wept and regretted. She even didn’t have the courage to express her love to Darcy. As a modern girl, if I was her, I would fly to Darcy to admit my misunderstanding and express my true feelings to him in no time.Happiness is gained by one’s own efforts. If you don’t pursue the happiness, it’s almost impossible to enjoy it.Now what could I say about Elizabet h? I don’t think she would have a happy ending if there is no Darcy.Next, let me talk about Darcy. In the beginning, I like this gentleman.I admire him. When he said that “she is tolerable, but not handsome enough to tempt me, and I am in no humor at present to give consequence to young ladies who are slighted by other men”, I admire him very much.He was an arrogant man.And also he had the enough capital to be arrogant.Yes, he was handsome and wealthy. And then some time later, he asked Elizabeth to marry him, for he fell in love with her.Unfortunately, he was severely rejected by Elizabeth at once, but I still like him.He was a lovely man, right? At least, I think so.However, at the very last he showed his love to Elizabeth once again, regardless of the hurtful words that Elizabeth said before. It makes me disappointment.Where’s his pride? I love his pride all the time, but now it disappeared. If I was Darcy, after hearing Elizabeth’s hurtful word, I would never meet her again and I would even forget her name at once. And eventually he was a poor man that had lost his pride. These are all my opinions about Elizabeth and Darcy.By the way, I reallycan’t understand why the girls were so crazy about officers and how come Darcy’s love to Elizabeth developed so suddenly.< > is a classic novel that reflect the social reality, so no one in this novel is perfect. The perfect person does not exist in the world. And it gives me the opportunity to nit-pick.As a whole, they were all kind people in the real society.Joycee。

Jane Austen’s novels were witty, warm and ironic portraits of the privileged classes of 18th- and 19th-century England. It is universally acknowledged that the eternal theme of Jane Austen’s novels is the choice people make for marriage partners, so is in Pride and Prejudice. The chief business of Mrs. Bennet’s life was to find suitable husbands for her five daughters. Once she heard that Netherfield Park had been let out to a London gentleman named Mr. Bingley. She was so eager to get acquainted with Mr. Bingley and marry one of her daughter with the wealthy young man. Through Mr. Bennet’s effort, the Bennet attended the ball held in Mr. Bingley’s house. Mr. Bingley and Jane, the oldest Bennet daughter, a pretty girl of sweet and gentle disposition, were attracted to each other at once. His friend, Darcy, however, created a bad impression, seeming cold and extremely proud. In particular, he insulted Elizabeth Bennet, a girl of spirit and intelligence and her father’s favorite. He refused to dance with her whenshe was sitting down for lack of a partner. To his own surprise, Mr. Darcy couldn’t help falling love with Elizabeth and tried to please that smart girl. However, because of the bad impression he had left on her, Elizabeth refused and sneered at Darcy many times. Elizabeth turned disgusted with Mr. Darcy. She met the new officer, Mr. Wickham, and convinced Darcy’s insult to him. Darcy, however, found himself deeply in love with Elizabeth, despite her family, which he even advised Bingley not to marry Jane. Mr. Collins arrived at Longhorn, tried to marry one of the Bennets’ girl as amender. As he was refused by Elizabeth, he married Charlotte Lucas. During Elizabeth’s visit to the Collins in Kent, she met Lady Catherine as well as her nephew, Darcy, frequently. To her astonishment, Darcy proposed to her. Because of his participation in driving Bingley away from her sister, his wicked way of treating Wickham, and her own hatred of his pride, his sense of superiority and his selfish disdain, she refused him angrily and determinately. However, after reading the letter from Darcy in which explained his idea of Bingley and Jane and the detailed relationship between him and Wickham, she knew she had misjudged both Darcy and Wickham. Her trip to Pemberley certainly proved her heart to Darcy as Darcy had changed his behavior as well. When shelearned that it was Darcy who played a major role in marrying her eloped little sister, Lydia, to Wickham, there was no doubt that she loved him. They two finally went together.Among those characters in this novel, I hate Mrs. Bennet for she was such a snobbish and foolish woman. Her poor nurse urged her to do something disgusting and foolish. Those seemed to help her loved daughters but in fact, all out of her own vanity. I like Elizabeth most. She was the second daughter in the Bennet family, and the most intelligent and quick-witted, Elizabeth is the protagonist of Pride and Prejudice and one of the most well-known female characters in English literature. Her admirable qualities are numerous—she is lovely, clever, and, in a novel defined by dialogue, she converses as brilliantly as anyone. Her honesty, virtue, and lively wit enable her to rise above the nonsense and bad behavior that pervade her class-bound and often spiteful society. Nevertheless, her sharp tongue and tendency to make hasty judgments often lead her astray; Pride and Prejudice is essentially the story of how she (and her true love, Darcy) overcome all obstacles—including their own personal failings—to find romantic happiness. Elizabeth must not only cope with a hopeless mother, a distant father, two badly behavedyounger siblings, and several snobbish, antagonizing females, she must also overcome her own mistaken impressions of Darcy, which initially led her to reject his proposals of marriage. Her charms were sufficient to keep him interested, fortunately, while she navigates familial and social turmoil. As she gradually came to recognize the nobility of Darcy’s character, she realized the error of her initial prejudice against him. She knew her own mind and dare to say no. While sometimes she behaved in an extreme way because of her over self-esteem. Owing to her sensitive mother, she had to protect herself from insulting. Actually, besides Elizabeth, I took a lot interest in Mr. Darcy since the very beginning though he appeared as a proud, self-important man. Instead, such good-looking gentleman like Mr. Bingley did not attract me very much. In some cases, a man with perfect character would always have a velvet paw. Wickham is a typical example that so many people had been deceived by his appearance. As I like both the two roles, I am happy to see them finally get married.Darcy’s proud is evident. His talks, his expressions, every movement of him seemed to show his pride. But as I turning over the novel, I found a rather proud heart in Elizabeth as well. For a country girl, there would not be a lot to be proud of.However, living in a family of silly sisters and a gossipy mother whose mind was always full of marriage, the smart girl could not express herself. Each word she said seemed to protect herself from others, especially to those who were also proud such as Darcy. It was not always good for her; however, for a person like Darcy who had accepted so many compliments, it was really an attraction. If Elizabeth had not been too proud to show her disdain, she would never have had his eyes on her. And if Darcy had not been as generous and kind as he was written to be virtually, he would have hated Elizabeth instead of being attracted so deeply. However, it was her pride which blinded her from learning the truth. She misunderstood Darcy and seemed to dislike all the things which were involved with him. That might si mply be the meaning of the word “Prejudice”. Elizabeth was intelligent, analyzing the character of Mr. Wickham and Darcy; she soon sensibly realized her mistake and made every attempt she could to save it. She never lost her confidence and courage to fight for her own happiness in spite of her low-birth. Darcy also gave up the chances to marry a noble girl such as Miss. Bingley and his cousin. In this way, even if their characters are so different, their marriage was based on the same mind.Of all the chapters of the novel, I am most interested in Elizabeth’s trip to Pemberley with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Gardiner. This part itself is developed in a scene of the beauty of Pemberley. The main role, Elizabeth and the Gardiners are all intelligent people. Without the gossip of Mrs. Bennet and the noise of the 3 little sisters, the story goes on with great peace. Their meet with Darcy was both unexpected and expectable. It was unexpected because neither Elizabeth nor Darcy thought of meeting each other in such an agreeable situation. It was expectable because it was such an agreeable situation for them to meet each other again. It was their first meet after Darcy’s proposal. Darcy behaved unbelievably polite and their conversations with Georgiana, Darcy’s sister, went on naturally. It gave a sign that Elizabeth might have changed her hart and indeed, she did. Although the elopement of Lydia and Wickham seemed to disturb them, Darcy at last conquered his pride that he spent considerable time, effort and money on the 2 people he disdained. Another disturbance was Lady Catherine’s visit, but all of these seemed just to quicken their steps to marriage.Jane Austen must have been an idealist which most of the women writers could not avoid being. Charming roles are alwayscharming, disgusting roles are always disgusting. All the pride and prejudice are conquered. Everyone got they deserved to get. She showed us the human’s weakness, pride and prejudice through the novel. It is fragile of human nature which can be easily distorted simply by dissimilation, carelessness or even blindness. Upper-class status and advantages produce the Pride, while poverty and self-esteem against rich produce Prejudice.第四篇:Pride and Prejudice傲慢与偏见英文观后感Pride and PrejudiceAfter reading , I really have lots to complain about.
