The Impact of the Internet on the Way People Communicate The ironic picture is about a father and a mother writting a letter to their son who is upstairs.The father and mother greet the son,Andy,and tell him they are fine and miss him and look forward to seeing him again when his computer crashes and he comes downstairs to eat. The child is overusing the Internet on the way people comunicate. Can electronic communication replace face-to-face contact?The answer is "no".For one thing,electronic communication makes people feel strange although it does help people communicate,especially for those who are far away or inconvenient to talk,whereas face-to-face contact makes people feel psychonogically intimate and affectionate.For another ,people cannot express themselves fully through the Internet .Thus,misunderstanding may be aroused. In my opinion,I do not object to electronic communication,but it cannot replace face-to-face communication.

Electronic Communication Cannot Replace Face-to-Face Contact The picture above is a vivid description of a phenomennon that communication between teenagers and their parents is usually through the Internet.Athough the Internet has changed the ways of communication,I do not think that electronic communication can replace face-to-face contact. Firstly,face-to-face contact is much better than electronic communication in terms of enhanced parent-child relationship,for the former can better guarantee honesty of the communication.Secondly,face-to-face contact can make people concentrate on what they are talking about,so people can thnk the problems st but not least,face-to-face can eliminate distrust between parents and children.because both sides will not be suspicious about the ohers' intentions if they can talk with each other in such a direct way.
