a,形容人物面部特征的常用词汇有: beard下巴上的胡子, moustache 上唇的胡子, clean-shaven胡子刮得很干净的, scar n.伤痕,疤痕v.结疤,使留下伤痕,创伤 chins n.下巴, 下颚 cheek

b,形容头发的常用词汇有：pigtail辫子, curly hair卷发, wavy hair卷发, straight hair 直发, short hair短头发, long hair长头发, spiky hair 短而直的头发,blonde\blond hair 金发或浅色发。

c,表示眼镜的说法有glasses，spectacles, lens.

从服装的宽松程度来区分 loose clothes/tight clothes.

从服装的颜色来区分：由于从试卷上只能看出颜色的深浅而不能看出具体颜色，所以IELTS听力考试中凡是涉及到颜色的时候，只能考颜色的深浅和黑与白这样简单的区分。如white白色,dark黑色,black黑色,light浅色。注意区分 shirt男式衬衫和女裙skirt的拼写。

e,人物体形描述的常用词汇有:tall高，high高,short矮, small 矮小的，fat胖，stout 肥胖的，stocky 粗壮的，slim瘦的, thin瘦的，slender苗条的，瘦长的，medium-built中等身材的。

f,人物特征描述在雅思考试中经常出现在对话中，如介绍家庭成员、教师朋友、寻人启示甚至是通缉令等场景中。人物特征描述包括对人物的身高、相貌、体态、发型样式、头发颜色、穿着打扮等进行系统的描述，因而特征比较明显。在考试中所讲述的特征往往不止一点，只要抓住其中主要的内容就可以做对答案。
