We are now living in a throw-away society. What causes the problem? Make some recommendations.

With the rapid development of society, mankind has entered a throw-away society. We can find metal tins, plastic bags and all kinds of packages thrown away everywhere. There are a growing number of people who begin to realize the seriousness of this issue. In this article, I will discuss the causes for the phenomenon and provide some possible solution to it.

There are some causes for this issue. Firstly, with the scientific and technological development, new products debut on the market every day. Some people will throw away the old products like TV, computers, washing machines and some other electric appliances and purchase new ones. As a result, the thrown-away products will cause serious pollution to the environment. Secondly, people in the current society lack adequate awareness of environment protection. In order to provide customers with convenience, some producers and enterprises use convenient plastic packaging materials, which can be thrown away immediately after use. However, it arouses serious environment problem. Most of the packaging materials cannot be degraded, so that it can lead to “white pollution”.

Finally, there are no relevant laws and regulation issued by the government to give people restrictions. And further, the facilities to deal with rubbish are inadequate.

In order to solve the present serious situation, people think up various suggestions. In my opinion, the following are feasible and practical. Firstly, we have to raise people’s awareness of environment protection. We should encourage the producer and enterprises to use environment friendly materials, such as paper and other degradable materials. Meanwhile, we should educate people and help them form the habit of rubbish classification. For example, we can put plastic bags, tins into recyclable dustbin and other rubbish into non-recyclable ones. Finally, the government should pay more attention to establishment of relevant laws and regulations, which can be used to standardize people’s behavior.

There is growing tendency nowadays for people to produce much more garbage than before。Some people hold an opinion that this leads to a throw－away society，for too many plastic bags and rubbish that can not fully dispose of threaten to overwhelm us。Personally，I agree with this opinion for the following reasons。

When we come to think about it，there are only three ways we can deal with rubbish。Dump it，burn it and change for something useful。However，no matter which way we choose，one thing is certain that garbage is everywhere。In the first instance，we throw useless things to garbage bins and sometimes we leave a trail of rubbish。When lorries carry waste to bury them，problems seemingly are solved。However，a lot of harmful things in these garbage dumps pollute our land。For instance，a set batter could turn fertile lands within 50 square meters into a barren desert。The second method is to burn it。As we fire rubbish，harmful gas is released to air。These poisonous substances pollute not only our health but also our atmosphere。Additionally，the last way we can choose is to turn garbage into something we can use again，which sounds a good idea。In fact，advanced recycle technology will cost a huge sum of money。We sometimes get low quality。

In view of the above reasons，I would recommend that some measures should be taken to end this serious problem。On the one hand，government should make some laws to protect the environment。Environment authorities can fine people who bury harmful garbage under landorfire it。On the other hand，government can establish a fund helping environment organization to do recycle research。Last but not least，the public should be further educated to recognize the seriousness of the problem。Once people know protection environment is their responsibility，they would not ask shop assistants to pack goods in plastic bagsorthey prefer to use low quality recycled commodities。

All in all，there are so many problems existing for environment pollution。If

we can do this，we can be assured that we will have a better and cleaner would in future

The environmental issue is getting worse almost every day in cities with very large population. As is often the case, city development outpaces environmental protection. People consume great amount of natural resouces and produce wastes. To effectively address such problems, cities need to spend big money. In addition, they need to call to the attention of people to become more environmentally responsible.

Many people are becoming less responsible and easily influenced by bad

behaviors. “Why should I care while others don’t care?” Such idea makes some people only concern with places where they live and work. Furthermore, people sometimes even purposely litter for revenge to other people.

Although media promotes environmental awareness, good people are often snubbed as posers who try to set up a superior image in real life. Consequently, they are intimated of receiving negative comments for doing the right thing. Wrong as it is, such phenomenon is widespread especially among youngsters and people with low income and little education.

However, our society is waging a campaign against environmental pollution. People learn the harms of undegradable lunch boxes and other polluting wastes. Laws in many countries prohibit or limit excessive use of polluting bags. Companies are continuely replacing the old materials with more environmental friendly and recyclable kinds. Scientists have developed more effective technologies in waste treatment. As time goes by, more and more people put high priority on the protection of environment for a healthier life.

To sum up, people produce huge amount of garbage and the environment is seriously polluted because of lack of financial resources, sense of responsibility, or efforts. But the world will not turn into a “throw away” society if people put in sufficient efforts to protect our environment.
