Design of Non-complementary PWM Control Circuit with Current Detection

Abstract: The HPS lamp is an important city lighting equipment, whose electric power supply has the extremely vital significance to the energy-saveing effect of illumination and the working reliability of sodium lamp. The application of AC voltage regulation in city energy-saving, lighting is described. The working process of the non-complementary PWM control mode with current detection is analyzed. A corresponding PWM sequence generation circuit is designed with CPLD. The energy-saving illumination power supply with such a chopping sequence driving circuit can work stably in the inductive load, resistive load and capacitive load.Keywords: voltage regulator with AC chopper; energy saving; city lighting; non-complementary control
