定义: 在复合句中用作宾语的从句叫做宾语从句。宾语从句是在初中阶段学习的非常重要的一种从句,它内容完整,句型结构较为复杂,主句和从句时态搭配要求严格。在高中阶段进行了进一步的学习和拓展,同时也为后续学习的间接引语、主语从句、表语从句及同位语从句的学习打下了基础。

宾语从句的种类

宾语从句是一种名词性从句,在句中作及物动词的宾语,或介词的宾语,或形容词的宾语。根据引导宾语从句的不同连词,宾语从句可分为三类。

1.由that引导的宾语从句。That只有语法作用,没有实在的意义,

在口语和非正式文体中可以省略,宾语从句原来是简单句中的陈述句。

【例如】:

He said (that) he wanted to stay at home.

She doesn’t know (that) she is seriously ill.

I am sure (that) he will succeed.

2.由连接代词who, whom, whose, what, which和连接副词when,

where, why, how引导的宾语从句,这些连接代词和连接副词在

宾语从句中要充当一定的成分,宾语从句原来是简单句中的特

殊疑问句。

Do you know who (whom) they are waiting for?

He asked whose handwriting was the best.

3. 由if或whether引导的宾语从句。If和whether在句中的意思

是“是否”,通常连接表示“.....吗”、“是不是”、“会不会”、“要

不要”等不确定意思的句子,即宾语从句原来是简单句中的一

般疑问句。例如:

I want to know if (whether) he lives there.

He asked me whether (if) I could help him.

但在下列情况下只能用whether:

①在具有选择意义,又有or或or not时,尤其是直接与or not连用时,往往用whether,

②在介词之后用whether。

③在不定式前用whether。

⑤引导主语从句和表语从句时宜用whether。

⑥若用if会引起歧义时,则用whether。

语序包括陈述语序即陈述句(肯定和否定)和疑问语序即疑问句(一般和特殊)。无论主句是陈述句还是疑问句,宾语从句都必须使用陈述语序,即“主句+连接词+宾语从句(主语+谓语+……)”句式。

陈述语序:He will come back tomorrow.他明天会回来。

He doesn’t like playing games.他喜欢玩游戏。

She liked playing the piano.她喜欢弹钢琴。

She is a doctor.她是一个医生.

他明天会回来吗?

他什么时候会回来?

他喜欢打游戏吗?

他喜欢什么?

在宾语从句中,从句只能用陈述语序,从特点上来说就是从句主语的前面不能有助动词、情态动词或be动词。例如:

我想知道他明天会回来吗。(will在主语he后面)

I wonder when come back.我想知道他什么时候会回来。(will在主语he后面)

你能告诉我他是否

喜欢打游戏吗?(主语he前没有助动词does)

Nobody knows likes playing the piano.没人知道她是否喜欢弹钢琴。(主语she前没有助动词did)

根据连接词在从句中所担任的不同成分,可分为以下四种:

1)连接词+谓语。连接词在从句中作主语。常见的连接词: who,what,which等。

5)特殊:当宾语从句是“what’s wrong/the trouble/the matter with sb”时,语序不发生改变。

She seems quite unhappy. I don’t know what’s wrong with her.

考点/易错点3 宾语从句的时态

1. 如果主句的时态是一般现在时,宾语从句该用什麽时态就用什

麽时态。

【举例】:

I don’t think (that) you are right.

He wants to know what he is doing.

He wants to know if she will be here on time.

He says he has been to China twice.

He says that lived here when young.

2.如果主句的时态是一般过去时,宾语从句只能用相应的过去时

态(一般过去时,过去进行时,过去将来时,过去完成时)。

【举例】:

I did n’t think (that) you were right.

He wanted to know where he was doing.

He wanted to know if she would be here on time.

He said he had been to China twice.

He said that had lived here when young.

3.如果宾语从句所陈述的是客观真理,其时态常用一般现在时。

【举例】:

Our teacher said that January is the first month of the year.

if和when既可以引导宾语从句,也可以引导状语从句,应注意它们在两种从句中的意思和用法的不同。if和when引导宾语从句时,分别意为“是否”和“何时”,其时态应和主句时态相呼应;它们引导状语从句时,意思分别为“如果,假如”和“当……时候”,当主句时态是一般将来时时,从句时态用一般现在时。它们常常放在含有状语从句和宾语从句的题干中进行综合考查。如:
