英语倡仪书的格式和范文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1A Student's Manifesto for Mastering the English LanguageMy fellow students, lend me your ears! The path to a brighter future lies in our grasp, and that path is paved with the mastery of the English language. We stand at a crossroads, where our choices will shape our destinies. Will we cling to the comforts of our native tongues, or will we boldly embrace the language that unlocks a world of opportunities?English is not merely a means of communication; it is the key that opens doors to countless realms of knowledge, culture, and progress. In an increasingly globalized world, proficiency in English has become a currency more valuable than gold. It is the lingua franca of diplomacy, business, and academia, transcending borders and uniting nations.Let us cast our minds back to the words of Nelson Mandela, who said, "If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart." While our native languages may speak to our hearts,English will grant us the power to be heard and understood by the world.Imagine the possibilities that await us when we wield the English language with fluency and confidence. We will no longer be mere spectators in the theater of global discourse; instead, we will take center stage, our voices amplified and our ideas echoing across continents.Consider the realm of academia, where the vast majority of scholarly literature is published in English. By mastering this language, we unlock a treasure trove of knowledge, enabling us to engage with the greatest minds of our time and contribute to the ever-expanding frontiers of human understanding. In the realm of business, English is the currency of commerce, the language that transcends borders and facilitates international trade. With English as our ally, we become global citizens, capable of navigating the intricate web of multinational corporations and forging partnerships that span oceans. But our aspirations extend far beyond the realms of academia and business. English is the language of diplomacy, the tongue that fosters understanding and paves the way for peace. By embracing this language, we become ambassadors ofgoodwill, capable of bridging cultural divides and fostering unity among nations.Let us not forget the richness of English literature, a tapestry woven with the threads of Shakespeare, Austen, and Hemingway. By mastering this language, we gain access to a world of storytelling that transcends time and space, allowing us to explore the depths of human emotion and experience.Yet, our journey towards English proficiency is not without its challenges. We must be prepared to confront the obstacles that lie ahead, to embrace the struggles and persist in the face of adversity. Like a sculptor chiseling away at a block of marble, we must chip away at our weaknesses, refining our grammar, expanding our vocabulary, and honing our pronunciation.Let us draw inspiration from the words of Nelson Mandela once more, who proclaimed, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." By arming ourselves with the English language, we equip ourselves with a weapon of unparalleled might, one that can shatter barriers and reshape the very fabric of our existence. My fellow students, the time has come to rise to the occasion, to embrace the English language with unwavering determination and unwavering passion. Let us not be contentwith mediocrity, but strive for excellence, for it is through excellence that we will leave an indelible mark upon the world.Together, we shall embark on this journey, supporting one another, challenging one another, and lifting each other up when the path grows steep. We shall emerge as linguistic warriors, armed with the power of English and ready to conquer the challenges that await us.Let this manifesto be our rallying cry, a beacon that guides us towards a future where the English language is not a barrier but a bridge, a tool that empowers us to forge our own destinies and shape the course of history. In the immortal words of Shakespeare, "To be, or not to be, that is the question." My fellow students, let us resoundingly answer that question by choosing to be – to be masters of the English language, to be architects of our own futures, and to be the authors of a new, more interconnected, and more enlightened world.Shall we embrace this call to action? Shall we seize the day and conquer the English language? The choice is ours, and the future awaits our decision. Let us march forward, united in our resolve, and claim our rightful place among the ranks of those who shape the destiny of nations.Lend me your voices, my fellow students, and let us declare, in one resounding chorus, our unwavering commitment to mastering the English language!篇2The Grand Manifesto on English Essay WritingFellow students, lend me your ears! For too long, we have been shackled by the confines of the dreaded English essay. Prompts have constrained our voices, rubrics have limited our creativity, and archaic formatting rules have hindered our expression. But no more! Today, I bring forth a grand manifesto, a declaration of independence from the tyranny of the English essay.First, let us address the age-old adversary: thefive-paragraph format. This rigid structure, drummed into our minds since primary school, has become a straitjacket, confining our thoughts to a predetermined mold. We are told to introduce our thesis, present three supporting body paragraphs, and conclude with a pithy summary. But where is the room for nuance? Where is the space for exploration and digression?I propose we cast off the shackles of the five-paragraph prison! Let our essays flow like a mighty river, meanderingthrough valleys of thought, cascading over falls of revelation, and pooling into eddies of reflection. An essay should be a journey, not a conveyor belt.Next, we must address the scourge of the rubric. These numerical scoring guides have reduced our efforts to a mere points game, stripping away the art and passion of writing. We find ourselves tailoring our words not to convey truth, but to pander to a predetermined checklist of criteria. Thesis statement? Check. Transitions? Check. Concluding paragraph? Check. But at what cost?I say, let us burn the rubrics and write with reckless abandon! Let our pens be guided by the fire of inspiration, not the cold calculation of point scoring. An essay is not a multiple-choice test; it is a canvas upon which we paint with the colors of language. But perhaps the greatest affront to our literary souls is the tyranny of formatting rules. We are told to double-space our lines, to use Times New Roman font, to indent our paragraphs with rigid precision. These arbitrary conventions serve no higher purpose than to homogenize our work, to strip away our individuality.I call for a revolution of formatting! Let us embrace the bold and the unconventional. Single-space your lines if you desire, or triple-space them for a sense of grandeur. Experiment with fonts that reflect your personality – perhaps a whimsical script for a creative piece, or a bold sans-serif for a persuasive argument. And as for indentation, let your paragraphs breathe, or let them run together in a stream of consciousness. To illustrate the possibilities of this liberated approach, allow me to present an exemplar, a shining beacon of what our essays can become:CopyThe Unbound EssayThisflowsuninterruptedlikeariverofinkinacalligraphicmasterpiece orbetterawildfirespreadingacrossaprairieofpagesconsumingallbeforeitwit haferociouspassion.Noindentationsnorparagraphbreakstoleashitsincessantforwardm omentum.Punctuationbecomesmereroadbumpsalongthisunboundedjourn eyslowing butneverstoppingtherelentlessadvance .Font:Asymmetric_mishmash_OfVariousStyles?#Whocares?*(^Formatting^)*unleashedlikaphoenixfromitsashencage.This, my friends, is the future of the English essay. It is a defiant rejection of the confines that have bound us for too long. It is a celebration of creative expression, a testament to the limitless potential of the written word. But I do not merely preach revolution; I call for action. From this day forth, let us write as we please, unshackled by the conventions of the past. Let our essays be living, breathing entities, evolving and adapting with each stroke of the pen (or clack of the keyboard, for those so inclined).Who is to say that an essay must follow a linear narrative? Why can we not weave our thoughts into a tapestry of intertwining threads, each strand adding depth and richness to the whole? And what dictates that an essay must be bound by the constraints of language itself? Could we not incorporate visual elements, blending words and images into a harmonious symphony? The possibilities are endless, limited only by the boundaries of our imagination. So let us cast off the shackles of the past andembrace the future of the English essay. Let our voices ring out, loud and clear, unencumbered by the weight of tradition. This, fellow students, is my manifesto – a call to arms against the tyranny of the English essay as we know it. Who will join me in this revolution? Who will stand tall and declare their emancipation from the shackles of convention? The pen is mightier than the sword, and today, we take up arms against the oppressive forces that have bound us for too long. The battle lines have been drawn, and the fate of the English essay hangs in the balance. Will you be a foot soldier in the army of liberation, or will you cower in the trenches of conformity? The choice is yours, but I implore you, do not let this opportunity for literary revolution pass you by.Onward, my fellow writers! Onward to a new era of unbridled creative expression! Let our essays be the battle cry that echoes through the halls of academia, toppling the pillars of convention and ushering in a glorious new age of artistic freedom!Vive la révolution!篇3The Manifesto: A Call for Impassioned Expression in the English TongueMy fellow students, lend me your ears! For too long, we have been shackled by the constraints of rigid academic writing, bound by the fetters of dry, lifeless prose. But today, I stand before you as a champion of the manifesto – that most electrifying and emboldened form of rhetoric, a clarion call to stir the soul and awaken the dormant fires of change. What is a manifesto, you ask? It is a declaration of principles, a rallying cry that resonates with the very core of our being. A manifesto is not merely a collection of words; it is a living, breathing embodiment of our deepest convictions, our most fervent dreams, and our unwavering determination to shape the world according to our vision.Throughout history, manifestos have been the catalysts for revolutions, the sparks that ignited the flames of progress. From the fiery words of Marx and Engels that shook the foundations of capitalism to the defiant proclamations of the Surrealists, who dared to challenge the boundaries of art and reality, manifestos have been the clarion calls that have echoed through the ages, inspiring generations to come. But what, you may wonder, does a manifesto have to do with the study of the English language? My dear friends, the manifesto is the quintessential expression of the English tongue,a canvas upon which we can paint our boldest thoughts, our most impassioned beliefs, and our grandest visions for the future.Consider the words of Thomas Paine, whose "Common Sense" manifesto ignited the flames of revolution in the American colonies, inspiring a nation to rise against the shackles of oppression. His words were not mere ink upon parchment; they were a rallying cry that resonated with the very souls of those who yearned for freedom, echoing through the halls of history and forever altering the course of human events.Or ponder the timeless manifesto of Mary Wollstonecraft, whose "Vindication of the Rights of Woman" challenged the patriarchal norms of her time, demanding equality and dignity for all, regardless of gender. Her words were not merely a plea for change; they were a thunderous proclamation that shattered the shackles of oppression, paving the way for generations of women to come.It is in the manifesto that the English language truly comes alive, transcending the boundaries of mere communication and becoming a force of nature, a torrent of emotion and conviction that sweeps away the cobwebs of complacency and ignites the fires of progress. But how, you may ask, does one craft a manifesto worthy of such lofty ambitions? The answer, my friends, lies in the very essence of the English language itself.A manifesto is not a dry, academic treatise; it is a passionate outpouring of the soul, a searing indictment of the status quo, and a clarion call to action. It demands that we abandon the shackles of convention and embrace the raw, visceral power of language, unleashing a torrent of words that sear the mind and stir the heart. To craft a manifesto, one must first cultivate a deep understanding of the English language, mastering its nuances, its rhythms, and its ability to convey the most complex and nuanced of thoughts. One must become a wordsmith of the highest order, wielding language as a sculptor wields clay, shaping it into a masterpiece that resonates with the very core of human experience.Next, one must tap into the wellspring of passion that lies within, drawing forth the burning convictions that fuel our dreams and our desires for change. A manifesto is not a mere recitation of facts; it is a rallying cry that speaks to the deepest longings of the human spirit, igniting the fires of revolution and inspiring others to action. Finally, one must embrace the art of persuasion, weaving together a tapestry of words that compel the reader to not only understand but to believe, to feel the very essence of our cause coursing through their veins. A manifesto is not a lecture; it is a symphony of language, a crescendo of emotion that builds to a thunderous climax, leaving the reader forever changed, forever inspired. To illustrate the power of the manifesto, let us examine a few examples that have forever etched their place in the annals of history.First, consider the words of Martin Luther King Jr., whose "I Have a Dream" speech echoes through the ages as a manifesto for equality and justice. With a masterful command of language, King painted a vision of a world where all people, regardless of the color of their skin, could walk hand in hand, united in the pursuit of freedom and dignity."I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,'" he proclaimed, his words reverberating with the weight of centuries of struggle and injustice. "I have a dream that my four little children will one daylive in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character."In those words, King summoned the very essence of the English language, wielding it as a weapon against oppression, a clarion call that inspired generations to come and forever altered the course of history.Next, let us turn to the words of Emmeline Pankhurst, whose "Freedom or Death" manifesto ignited the flames of the suffragette movement, demanding the right for women to participate in the democratic process and have their voices heard."I incite this meeting to rebellion," she declared, her words echoing like thunder across the halls of history. "I incite this meeting to rebellion, not to violence, but if the government allows itself to be driven into violence, then we shall defend ourselves."With those words, Pankhurst harnessed the power of the English language, transforming it into a rallying cry for justice and equality, a call to arms that resonated with the very souls of those who yearned for change. Finally, let us examine the words of the Futurist Manifesto, penned by the Italian poet Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, whose bold proclamations challenged the very foundations of art and culture, ushering in a new era of artistic expression."We will glorify war – the world's only hygiene – militarism, patriotism, the destructive gesture of freedom-bringers, beautiful ideas worth dying for, and scorn for woman," Marinetti proclaimed, his words searing the mind with their audacity and their defiance of convention. In these words, we see the power of the manifesto to challenge the status quo, to shatter the boundaries of the accepted and the expected, and to pave the way for new horizons of thought and expression. My fellow students, it is our turn to take up the mantle of the manifesto, to harness the raw power of the English language and wield it as a force for change, for progress, and for the betterment of humanity.Whether our cause is to champion social justice, to protect the environment, or to blaze new trails in the realms of art and culture, the manifesto is our weapon, our rallying cry, and our clarion call to action.Let us embrace the manifesto as a living embodiment of our convictions, a passionate outpouring of our souls that resonates across the ages, inspiring generations to come and forever altering the course of human events. For in the manifesto, we find the true essence of the English language – a tongue of fire, a torrent of emotion, and a searing indictment of the status quo. It is in the manifesto that we can unleash the full power of our words, painting our boldest visions upon the canvas of history and forever etching our names among the ranks of those who dared to dream, to challenge, and to change the world. So let us raise our voices in a mighty chorus, a symphony of impassioned expression that echoes across the ages, inspiring generations to come and forever altering the course of human events. For in the manifesto, we find the true essence of the English language – a tongue of fire, a torrent of emotion, and a searing indictment of the status quo.My fellow students, the time has come to embrace the manifesto, to harness the raw power of language and wield it as a force for change. Let our words resonate like thunder, shaking the foundations of complacency and igniting the fires of progress. Let our manifestos be the rallying cries that inspiregenerations to come, forever etching our names among the ranks of those who dared to dream, to challenge, and to change the world. For in the manifesto, we find the true essence of the English language – a tongue of fire, a torrent of emotion, and a searing indictment of the status quo. Let us embrace it, let us wield。

Together, we've gone through both tears and happiness.About 12 years ago, I knew it following an order from my mom. Many hours of boredom were spent practicing it. And to make things worse, the disappointment in my teacher's eyes as I played the wrong notes was like an invisible hammer, striking on my heart. One day, I finally decided: I hate it! By chance, things changed when I was seven. I was at home lying on the sofa, wondering how those famous violinists dealt with this terrible dilemma. I searched online for the E-minor Concerto, a well-known violin work by German composer Felix Mendelssohn, and listened to it.A beautiful and mysterious sound came from the violin as the bow (琴弓) moved across it. It was like the music slid over the flowers, rose up, and started to fill the air. The violin's voice woke up the sun, made the trees green, and freshened the air. As the music changed, the sky turned back to gray.A gloomy shade covered the grass as all the sunshine disappeared. I could hear children crying and men shouting. It was like an invisible claw had grabbed my heart tightly, making it unable to beat. That glorious day set off my passion and, interest in violin—I grabbed mine and never let it go. Before the memories faded, I stared at my instrument. Without hesitating, I picked it up, rosined the bow, and began to play. Peace filled my heart. My violin has been by my side for 12 years. When I feel happy, an energetic tune makes it even better; when I'm deep in sorrow, a peaceful tune washes it away, when I'm walking on air, feeling especially pleased with my achievements, solemn tunes calm me down. Gradually, it has become a part of my life.My violin, shall I compare you to a summer's day?29. What further led to the author's dislike of violin-playing?A.Orders from Mum. Why did the author pick up the violin again?A.The invisible hammer and claw are gone.B.The beautiful imagination changed his attitude.C.A famous tune aroused his interest and passion.D.He was crazy about Felix Mendelssohn's works.32. Which of the following can be the best title for the text?A.Musical soul mate—violin. B.My dislike and like of violin.C.An inspiring story of violin. D.Deep love for music. Many gardeners believe that “talking” to their plants helps them grow — it turns out that they may not be crazy after all. According to the scientists from the University of Exeter, plants may keep communicating with each other through a secret “unseen” la nguage. For their experiment, the scientists picked a cabbage plant that is known to send out a gas when its surface is cut. In order to get video evidence of the communication, they changed the cabbage gene by adding the luciferase (荧光素酶), which is what makes fireflies (萤火虫) glow in the dark. When the changed cabbage plant was in full bloom, they cut a leaf off with a pair of scissors, and almost immediately, thanks to the luciferase, they could see the plant sending out “methyl jasmonate (茉莉酸甲酯)”.While this was a known fact, what was surprising was the fact that the minute this gas began to give out, the nearby cabbage plants seemed to sense some kind of danger and started to send out a gas that they normally have to keep enemies like caterpillars (毛虫) away. What the scientists are not sure is whether the plants are trying to warn the other leaves or the near plants about the danger — something that will require further research. However, the team, which is led by Professor Nick Smirnoff, is quite excited about the findings because this is the first time it has been proved that plants do not live a passive life, but actually move, sense and even communicate with each other.33. What does the underlined word “they” in Paragraph 1 mean?A.Gardeners. B.Plants. C.Scientists. D.Fireflies.34. When the plant sent out methyl iasmonate, which of the following statements is NOT true?A.The nearby cabbage plants seemed to sense some kind of danger.B.The nearby cabbage plants started to send out a gas.C.The nearby cabbage plants tried to warn the near plants.D.The nearby cabbage plants communicated through a secret language.35. According to the experiment, plants __________.A.don’t live a passive life B.can feel pain when they are cutC.can warm the other leaves about danger D.can talk with each other36. From which is the text probably taken?A.A health magazine. B.A biology magazine.C.A medical research paper. D.A travel brochure.Everyone would agree that it is parents’ job to teach their kids right from wrong. The rise in teen crime suggests that some parents are failing at these tasks. To correct the problem, lawmakers in some states require parents to serve jail time when their children get into serious trouble again and again. The lawmakers hope that this punishment will motivate parents to take their responsibilities seriously.Supporters of these laws believe that the threat of jail will scare parents into paying more attention to their teens’ behavior than before. They think that these par ents would be happy to let the state try tostraighten out their kids at juvenile detention centers (少管所), because the centers took the responsibility off the parents’ shoulders. With the new laws, the responsibility is put back on the parents. “The hope is,” a supporter said, “that if parents are held legally responsible, they’ll work harder to keep their youngsters in line.”However, many people think the laws are unfair. They argue that parents should not be punished for the criminal acts of their childr en, unless it can be shown there is a contributory fault on the parents’ part.People who oppose parental responsibility laws also believe that punishing parents won’t create a change in the kids’ behavior. These people argue that parents may not be at fa ult. The children of good parents can fall in with the wrong kids and get into trouble, they say. Worse yet, if mom is in jail, there may be no one at all to control her kid. …The unfortunate fact is that jailing a parent punishes the rest of the family. The jailed parent cannot work to help support the family and may also be fired from a job for missing too much work. Furthermore, little evidence exists to support the idea that the threat of punishment improves a parent’s ability to control a teenager. Op ponents of parental responsibility laws say that parents who are in this situation need help, not a jail sentence.37. The phrase “keep their youngsters in line” (in Paragraph 2) is closest in meaning to“________”.A.get their kids to stay at home B.make their kids behave wellC.help their kids make a living D.require their kids to queue in public38. Which of the following sentences may best end Paragraph 4?A.So, they believe that it’s easy for mom to control her kid’s behavior.B.So, they believe that mom should be jailed for her contributory fault.C.So, they believe that lack of mom’s control may then lead to more crime.D.So, they believe that mom’s control has a negative effect on her kid’s behavior.39. Opponents of parental responsibility laws think that ________.A.parents should never be punished for their kids’ crimesB.jailing a parent may drive the family into a worse situationC.the laws are unfair even if they help parents control their kidsD.responsible parents needn’t worry tha t their kids will commit crimes40. What does the passage mainly talk about?A.Whether parents should be jailed for their kids’ criminal acts.B.How parents deal with young troublemakers in their daily life.C.What parents need when their kids commit crimes again and again.D.Why laws should be made to hold parents responsible for their kids.Improve Your RelationshipsHaving stable and positive relationships in your life can make you happier and more fulfilled. 七年级下册英语竞选劳动委员作文

七年级下册英语竞选劳动委员作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Fellow Students,I stand before you today to humbly ask for your vote to become the next Student Labor Commissioner. As we all know, this position is crucial for ensuring our school runs smoothly and that the workload is distributed fairly among the student body.I may be just a 7th grader, but I have a passion for leadership and serving others that goes beyond my years. From an early age, I learned the importance of hard work, responsibility, and pitching in to help out wherever I'm needed. My parents raised me with strong values of integrity, diligence, and compassion. At home, I don't just expect my parents to do everything for me. I take it upon myself to do chores around the house like washing dishes, taking out the trash, and keeping my room clean without being asked. I understand that running a household is hard work, and I want to do my part.In the classroom, I am a dedicated and disciplined student. I always get my assignments turned in on time and put in my besteffort. When we have group projects, I take on my fair share of the workload and make sure to pull my weight. I amwell-organized and a great communicator which allows me to coordinate effectively with my peers. On the sports teams and clubs I'm involved with, I show up to every practice, meeting, and event ready to contribute. My coaches and faculty advisors know they can count on me to be a team player who leads by example and inspires others. I understand that success is only possible when we all commit to doing the difficult work required. If elected as your Student Labor Commissioner, I will apply this same level of commitment and resolve. My main priorities will be:Establishing a fair and transparent system for assigning tasks and chores around the school. No one should have to do more than their share, and no one should be able to slack off while others pick up the slack.Creating leadership development opportunities so students can gain valuable experience being in charge of projects and initiatives. The skills of delegating, motivating others, and being accountable will be incredibly valuable.Recognizing and celebrating those students who go above and beyond in their effort and work ethic. Too often, the students who diligently get things done don't get the appreciation they deserve.Serving as a voice for the student body and advocate for better resources, support systems, and reasonable workload policies. I will ensure students don't get overloaded and burnt out.Encouraging an overall culture of service, selflessness, and camaraderie. We must all be willing to do the hard jobs and pitch in wherever needed for the greater good of our school.I recognize that being Student Labor Commissioner is no easy task. It will require patience, creativity, courage, and a service-minded heart. However, I was raised to embrace challenges head-on and I will pour every ounce of effort into serving you and taking on this responsibility. When I see something that needs to get done, I don't make excuses or wait for someone else to do it. I take initiative and resolve to find a solution. That's exactly how I will approach this position if elected as your commissioner. At the end of the day, a great school community is built through the combined efforts of everyone pitching in and doing their part. It's a team effort. If we respect each other's work, hold each other accountable, and work together, we can achieve incredible things. So I humbly ask for your vote to become the next Student Labor Commissioner. A vote for me is a vote for hard work, servant leadership, and upholding an exceptional standard of effort and accountability for our school. I appreciate your consideration, and I promise to diligently uphold the duties of this office.Thank you, and go Wildcats!篇2My Fellow Students,I stand before you today to humbly ask for your vote to be elected as a member of the 7th Grade Student Labor Committee. While I may be young, I have a deep passion for making our school a better place and ensuring the voice of the student body is represented.Ever since I was a little kid, I've always tried to help others wherever I can. I remember back in 3rd grade, I started arecycling program for my classroom because I was worried about all the waste we were producing. With the support of my teacher, I got all my classmates to bring in recyclable materials from home and made sure they were properly sorted and picked up each week. It was just a small act, but it made me feel like I was making a positive impact. In 5th grade, I organized a book drive to collect gently used books to donate to the children's hospital. Seeing the smiles on those kids' faces when we delivered boxes and boxes of books is something I'll never forget. Reading has always been one of my greatest joys, and I wanted to share that with others who might not have access to books. And just last year, when I noticed how little outdoor seating we had at school during lunchtime, I wrote a proposal to the principal about installing some picnic tables in the courtyard. After doing research, presentingmy case, and showing there was real student interest, I'm proud that we now have proper outdoor seating areas for when the weather is nice.I share these examples not to boast, but to show you that I'm someone who sees opportunities for positive change and takes action to make it happen. I get things done through hard work, determination, and bringing people together around a common cause. If elected to the Student Labor Committee, I promise to be a strong voice representing all of you. I'm prepared to roll up my sleeves and do whatever it takes to improve our school community. A few of the key issues I'd like to focus on:Increasing recycling efforts and making our school more environmentally sustainable. Simple things like installing more clearly labeled recycling bins, promoting campaigns to reduce waste, and looking into renewable energy options like solar panels.Enhancing our school spirit through fun events and activities. Think pep rallies, themed dress up days, fundraising initiatives for local charities, battle of the bands/talent shows, and more opportunities to bring students together.Modernizing our facilities and technology resources. Many of our computers, laptops, and classroom AV equipment are quite outdated. We need to invest in new tech to provide students with the latest tools for learning and success.Advocating for new extracurricular activities and clubs based on student interest. I've already heard from many of you whowant to start a gardening club, expand our art offerings, have a creative writing group, and bring back the school newspaper. Your voices deserve to be heard!Improving school food with healthier, tastier options. While I know budgets are tight, finding ways to partner with local restaurants, farms, and community gardens could provide amazing, nutritious meals for all. Those are just a few of the areas I'm passionate about, but I'm also here to listen to ALL of your ideas and concerns. My role on the committee would be to elevate student voices and turn your vision for a better school experience into reality. Now, I'm just one person - but together we can inspire real, positive change. I'll work tirelessly, uphold integrity, include everyone's perspective, and make sure promises aren't just campaign talk. You have my word that I will give 110% effort as your student labor representative. For too long, decisions have been made about students, without properly including student voices in the process. But you all are the heart and soul of this school. You deserve to have a true say in the types of activities offered, the facilities you learn in, the food you eat, and more. This isn't just about making our school "cool" or fun. It's about teaching all of us to be engaged citizens who can take initiative and work for the betterment of our community. That sense of empowerment, pride, and civic responsibility will serve all of us well in the future. So I humbly ask for your vote to be on the 7th Grade Student Labor Committee. Together, we can roll up our sleeves, put in the work, and create an incredible school experience that makes everyone proud.Thank you for your consideration, and don't forget to rock the vote!篇3My Campaign for Labor Committee MemberDear fellow students,My name is Emma and I am running to be your 7th grade Labor Committee Member. I may be young, but I have a big heart and even bigger dreams for making our school an incredible place for all of us to learn and grow. You might be wondering, what exactly does the Labor Committee do? Well, the Labor Committee is a group of studentswho work closely with teachers and administration to plan fun events, organize community service projects, and make sure the student voice is heard on important issues affecting our school life. As your representative, I would take that responsibility very seriously.I'm sure we can all agree that school would be pretty boring without the special activities and events that make the year memorable. Things like school dances, pep rallies, fundraisers for great causes, field trips, and more. The Labor Committee plays a huge role in dreaming up ideas for those events and then making them happen. If elected, you can count on me to champion creative, inclusive event ideas that get all of us excited! For example, I think it would be awesome to have a big school-wide talent show at the end of the year. We have so many talented singers, dancers, musicians, comedians, and all-around awesome performers at our school. A talent show would give them a chance to shine while bringing some extra fun and school spirit. I would make sure it was super well-organized and that there were great prizes for the winners voted by the students.I also really want to prioritize community service projects that give back to our local community. It's so important for us to be good citizens and use our energy and creativity to help others.A couple ideas I have are organizing donation drives to support shelters and food pantries, as well as doing park/beachclean-ups to keep our neighborhoods looking great. Getting involved in community service teaches us responsibility and reminds us how lucky we are. It also looks fantastic on college applications!Another huge part of being on the Labor Committee is acting as a voice for student concerns. You can guarantee that if you elect me, I will not be shy about raising important issues with the school administration. We all deserve to have our opinions heard when it comes to things that affect our daily school experience – like cafeteria food options, classroom policies, school safety procedures, etc. I will be that direct line of communication making sure student voices are not ignored. What makes me the ideal candidate for this position? Well, first off, I have a ton of energy and enthusiasm. I'm someone who genu。
以学生会名义写厉行节约反对浪费 的英语作文

以学生会名义写厉行节约反对浪费的英语作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1We Students Must Lead the Fight Against WasteMy fellow students, we face a crisis that threatens not just our university, but society as a whole. I'm talking about the scourge of wastefulness and lack of frugality that has become endemic in our culture. As the leaders and trendsetters of tomorrow, we students have a moral obligation to reverse this wasteful trajectory before it's too late.Just look around our campus and you'll see rampant examples of senseless waste and inadequate conservation efforts. How many times have you witnessed students carelessly tossing half-eaten food into the trash? Annually, our university produces hundreds of tons of food waste that gets thrown into dumpsters and trucked off to landfills. Not only does this constitute a criminal squandering of resources that could feed the hungry, but it's also an environmental disaster. As that organic matter decomposes, it releases potent methane, a powerful greenhouse gas.The waste doesn't stop at the dining halls either. College dorms and apartments are awash in needless overconsumption as well. Students friviously leave lights, computers, televisions, and gaming systems running while not in use, unnecessarily burning through electricity. According to campus facilities estimates, this costs our university over 500,000 per year in extraneous power costs. That's over half a million dollars that could be going towards more professors, scholarships, campus improvements, or keeping tuition down - but instead gets literally burned away by laziness and obliviousness.Compounding this electricity waste is the ubiquitous use of plastic bottled water and single-use beverage containers on campus. Despite ready access to drinking fountains and reusable bottles, the typical college student goes through dozens of these disposable plastic bottles each semester. After a brief moment of use, these plastic bottles get tossed into the trash can and take hundreds of years to deteriorate. Many of them tragically end up in the oceans, polluting the seas and causing harm to marine life. Our irresponsible consumption habits are rapidly transforming our planet into a living dumpster.Of course, the clothing and textile waste produced by university students is just as abhorrent. Today's youth have beenbrainwashed by corporate marketing into believing they must compulsively buy new clothes and shoes every season to stay "trendy." This toxic overindulgence leads to perfectly wearable clothes being prematurely thrown out and replaced, clogging up landfills while also fueling the demand for unethical labor practices in developing countries that produce these clothes. It's a vicious, unsustainable cycle of greed, envy, and waste. The examples go on and on - from students constantly upgrading to the latest smartphone model, to housing dumpsters overflowing with unwanted furniture and household items when students move out each May. Reckless squandering of finite resources has become a normalized part of student life. And we're paying the price through continually increasing costs of tuition, fees, housing and books needed to defray the expenses of replenishing and maintaining our wasteful lifestyles.Well, I've had enough of this egregious violation of common decency and civic responsibility. We students can no longer plead ignorance as an excuse for our indefensible waste habits. The facts are in, the data is clear, and the future consequences of our inaction are dire. If we don't get our consumer habits under control immediately, we risk leaving a hopelessly depleted and polluted world to future generations. That's why today, on behalf of our student government, I'm calling for an immediate campuswide embrace of anti-waste policies and a culture of frugality. From this moment forward, we must integrate conservation-minded philosophies into every aspect of student life at this university. And it starts with each of us making a personal commitment. No more food waste in the dining halls. Take only what you'll eat, and if you have leftovers, take them home in reusable containers. Residential life should implement comprehensive recycling and compost programs in every dorm, frat and campus apartment. We need to phase out single-use plastics like bottles, utensils, bags, and straws wherever possible and replace them with reusable alternatives.Electricity and energy waste must become socially unacceptable. If you're the last one leaving a room, double check that lights, computers, appliances etc. are turned off. Unplug chargers when not in use. Take shorter showers and only run dishwashers and laundry machines when you have a full load. Let's make it fundamentally uncool and lame to pointlessly waste power.Clothes, furniture, electronics, you name it - we have to embrace a new culture of keeping things as long as possiblethrough reuse, repair, donating and conscious consumerism. We have to break away from the corporate brainwashing that convinces us to ditch still-functional items for the latest flashy product. Demand for universities to facilitate reuse programs, thrift stores, repair clinics, and community sharing will go a long way. Finally, I call upon all students to make their voices heard and lobby university leadership to adopt aggressive sustainability and anti-waste policies. We must push for bans on plastic bottles, phasing out trays in dining halls, upgrading buildings with energy efficient appliances and lighting, installing more electric vehicle charging stations, and other green initiatives across campus operations. Use your power as students and consumers to force real change. For too long, our society has been living in a throwaway culture of excess and environmental apathy. But that world is rapidly becoming unlivable. The time to steer civilization onto a more sustainable path is now, and it falls upon our generation of students to lead that charge through a drastic reembrace of frugality and anti-waste principles. Our planet's future depends upon us escaping the shackles of hopelessly wasteful patterns of consumption and forecfully advocating for a return toenvironmental common sense grounded in respect for our planet's limited resources. We students are a movement now - a crusading force for frugality and sustainability that will leave a real and positive impact on our university, our communities, and the wider world. From this day forward, we declare that wastefulness in all its forms is the new counter-culture to be shunned and condemned. It's our moral calling as young people to build an exciting new culture around reducing, reusing, and recycling no matter what. This is how we'll create real change and build the better tomorrow we want to see. Together, we can and will solve the crisis of waste. The future of the Earth is in our hands.篇2Wasteful Habits: A Threat to Our FutureMy fellow students,As members of the student council, it is our duty to address issues that impact the well-being of our school community and the world around us. Today, I want to bring attention to a pressing matter that demands our collective action: the widespread problem of wastefulness and the urgent need to embrace frugality. We live in an era of abundance, where resources seem limitless and the temptation to consume without restraint is ever-present. However, the harsh reality is that our planet's finite resources are dwindling at an alarming rate, and our wasteful habits are taking a heavy toll on the environment and the sustainability of our future.Consider the staggering statistics: Each year, millions of tons of food are discarded, often before even reaching our plates. Perfectly edible fruits and vegetables are tossed aside due to cosmetic imperfections, while leftovers and expired items find their way into landfills, contributing to greenhouse gas emissions and environmental degradation. But the problem extends far beyond food waste. Our addiction to fast fashion and the constant pursuit of the latest trends have turned clothing into a disposable commodity. Garments are worn a handful of times before being discarded, contributing to the ever-growing mountains of textile waste that pollute our ecosystems and deplete valuable resources.Even in our daily lives, we are guilty of squandering precious resources. How many times have we left the lights on in empty classrooms or allowed the water to run unnecessarily? These small acts, multiplied across our school and community, add upto a colossal waste of energy and water – resources that are becoming increasingly scarce in the face of climate change and growing populations. The consequences of our wasteful ways are far-reaching and severe. By depleting our planet's resources at an unsustainable rate, we are jeopardizing the future of our generation and those to come. Environmental degradation, climate change, and resource scarcity are not abstract concepts; they are real threats that will shape the world we inherit. But there is hope, and it lies in our collective ability to embrace frugality and reject the wasteful habits that have become so deeply ingrained in our society.Frugality is not about deprivation or sacrifice; it is about conscious consumption and respect for the resources we have been blessed with. It is about making mindful choices that prioritize sustainability and consider the long-term impact of our actions.By adopting frugal practices, we can significantly reduce our environmental footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future. This might involve simple actions like minimizing food waste by planning meals carefully, embracing a minimalistlifestyle that values quality over quantity, or implementing recycling and composting programs within our school.Frugality is not just an individual endeavor; it is a collective responsibility that requires the commitment of our entire school community. As student leaders, we must set an example and inspire our peers to join us in this crucial effort.Let us launch awareness campaigns that highlight the consequences of wastefulness and the benefits of frugality. Let us organize events and workshops that teach practical skills for reducing waste, such as meal planning, upcycling, and sustainable living. And let us work closely with school administrators to implement policies and initiatives that promote resource conservation and environmental stewardship. But our efforts must extend beyond the confines of our school. We must engage with our local community, reaching out to businesses, organizations, and government entities to advocate for sustainable practices and policies that discourage wastefulness and incentivize frugality. My fellow students, the time to act is now. The future belongs to those who recognize the urgency of the situation and take decisive steps to create a more sustainable world. Let us bethe generation that turns the tide on wastefulness and embraces frugality as a way of life.Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can be the catalysts for change, inspiring others to join us in our mission to preserve our planet's resources for generations to come.Let us stand united, unwavering in our commitment to frugality and our rejection of wasteful habits. For it is through our collective effort that we will build a future where abundance is not squandered but cherished, where resources are respected and conserved, and where the path to sustainability is paved with mindful choices and responsible stewardship. The challenges ahead are formidable, but our determination and collective action can overcome them. Let us embrace frugality not as a burden but as a virtuous path towards a better, more sustainable tomorrow.Thank you.篇3Waste Not, Want Not: A Plea for Frugality from the Student CouncilMy fellow students, today I come before you not just as a peer, but as a voice for our esteemed Student Council. We stand united in a cause that should resonate with every conscientious soul on this campus – the dire need to curb wasteful practices and embrace a culture of frugality.Look around you, my friends. Our world is teetering on the brink of environmental catastrophe, with finite resources dwindling at an alarming rate. The reckless squandering of Earth's bounties has left an indelible scar, one that threatens the very future we aspire to create. It is time we awaken from our slumber of indifference and heed the clarion call of sustainability.Frugality, far from being a mere buzzword, is a way of life that holds the key to preserving our planet's delicate balance. It is a mindset that transcends monetary considerations and speaks to the very essence of responsible stewardship. By embracing frugality, we not only safeguard our own interests but also those of generations yet unborn.Let us embark on this journey together, starting within the hallowed halls of our institution. Cast your gaze upon the overflowing bins, brimming with discarded paper, uneaten food, and carelessly discarded plastics. Each item, a testament to ourcollective neglect, represents a squandered opportunity to tread more lightly upon this Earth.Imagine the profound impact we could make by simply being more mindful of our consumption patterns. Printing only when necessary, minimizing food waste by taking only what we can reasonably consume, and opting for reusable alternatives to single-use plastics – these seemingly small acts collectively contribute to a monumental shift in our environmental footprint.Furthermore, let us not forget the financial implications of our wasteful ways. The resources we thoughtlessly discard come at a cost, one that ultimately burdens the institution and, by extension, our own pockets. By adopting a frugal mindset, we can redirect those funds towards endeavors that truly enrich our academic experience and personal growth. But frugality extends far beyond our campus boundaries. It is a clarion call to reshape our societal norms, to challenge the insidious culture of overconsumption and disposability that has permeated our way of life. We must break free from the shackles of mindless consumerism and embrace a more mindful approach to our interactions with the world around us.Imagine a world where we prioritize quality over quantity, where we cherish the things we possess and extend their lifespanthrough proper care and maintenance. A world where we pause before making a purchase, considering not only our immediate desires but also the long-term implications of our choices. This is not a call for deprivation or asceticism; rather, it is an invitation to savor the true essence of living. By embracing frugality, we liberate ourselves from the shackles of material excess and rediscover the simple joys that money cannot buy –the beauty of nature, the warmth of human connections, and the profound satisfaction of living in harmony with our environment. To those who might dismiss our plea as idealistic or impractical, we say this: the cost of inaction is far greater than the sacrifices we must make today. The consequences of our wastefulness are already manifesting in the form of environmental degradation, resource depletion, and a collective burden that threatens to crush our hopes for a sustainable future. We, the Student Council, implore you to join us in this crusade against waste and embrace the virtues of frugality. Let us be the change we wish to see in the world, inspiring others by our actions and setting an example that future generations can emulate.Together, we can forge a new path, one that harmonizes our needs with those of our planet. We can create a legacy of responsible stewardship, leaving behind a world that is not only habitable but thriving, a world where abundance is measured not by the things we possess but by the richness of our experiences and the depth of our connections. The choice is ours, my fellow students. Will we continue down the path of reckless consumption, or will we rise to the occasion and become beacons of frugality, shining a light on a more sustainable way of life? The future rests upon our collective resolve, and the time to act is now.In solidarity,The Student Council。

My Fellow Student
When I was at primary school, the question that our teacher frequently asked us was that what is your dreams.Still now I can remembered that most of my classmates hurried to put their hands to declare their answers. Some of them wanted to be a scientst, some of them wanted to be a doctor, and some of them wanted to be a driver. At that time my dream was to be a college student, because my mother alwary told me that.
Perhaps for the reason that I come from countryside,my mother thought that only went to college school that I could change my fate. Both my father and my mother are farmers,so I knew the hardship for a farmer when I was a child, and I used to study hard to full fill my dream.Hard work pays off,and I throught the college entrance examination at 2007.It is at my college school that I came across my fellow student.Today I can remembered the first day I encountered him clearly.
It was my first day at school.I walked into the building where I was going to live, and looked door and door for my name.At last I found it.In the room there was already a student making his bed.
After we said ”Hello” to each other,he continued his work, paying no attention to me.”What a stuck-up fellow”,I thought.I examined the room.It was not different in the fittings and furnishings from any other room I had seen, but it had been thoroughly cleaned by my new roommate,no doubt.
I looked at him.He was thin, short, and dark. His hair was like a boundle of straw. His dirty clothes and tired look were clearly signs of a long journey. His clothes were made of cheap cloth. The coat was too short and the trousers were too loose. And he wore a pair of rubber shoes, which were very unfashionable. He did not look like a smart senior student at all.”He is also a country folk,” I conclued.
The second time he spoke, his accent told me that he was from the south.”Shall I help you to get your luggage from the office?”he asked.
I did not refuse since I really needed help.He was quick in movement.”A good gut,”I said to myself,”I will make friends with him.”I hurried and caught up with him.
Today I can recollect many things of our four years’ college school life that can prove that he is indeed a person who deserves getting along.I remembered that he gave me much help in my daily life, especially when I prepered for the examination of entrence to postgraduate school.
As the times he helped me got more and more,I also knew him more and more.He is a genuine man.If he fell the things that he think it should not be that,he always points it directly, even when he playing football. He likes football, and I can recall a match vividly.
That day he wearing black pants and a white shirt. He never stopped walking up and down, and got very upset when his team was losing. He shouted at his teammates, blaming them.He is that.
But time always goes fast.We have finished our college study about ten monthes ago,and now I am a graduate student. How I miss you,my fellow studnt.。
