My Dream
Ladies and gentlemen,may I have your attention please? I appreciate very much this opportunity to speak here . my topic is my dream.
Everyone has his own colorful dream; he might want to be a teacher, a policeman, a pilot, or a doctor. As time goes by, I grow up and now I also have a dream—I desire to be a great philanthropist.
You must ask me why I wanted to be a philanthropist as it is not easy. On one hand, a philanthropist should have decent economic base, on the other hand, a warm heart. Take a look at those famous philanthropists over the world, Bill Gates, Michael Jaskson and Mr. Chen Guangbiao, we cannot deny their contributions to the world. As for me, deep admiration and determination are in my heart, which enable me to try my best to achieve this goal – being a philanthropist in the future, to help and benefit more people. I remember Einstein once said the value of a person, he should see what contribution, rather than look at what he achieved.
What is philanthropy? In my opinion, philanthropy is to provide other people more help as you can, to warm others as you can. There’ s a good saying: do well and have well. In another aspect, kindhearted is something from our heart and soul; it’s not the things
you do to show off. A philosopher said:” the sky accepts every piece of wind not for its beauty; the mountain accepts every block of stone not for its size; the sea accepts every spray not for its limpidity. Therefore, we could see broad sky, high mountains and the vast sea.
I certainly understand it’s really hard to be a philanthropist. Abundant knowledge and wealth are necessary. As we know, in books there is a golden house. In order to make my dream come true, I’ll be diligent to do well in all courses; be confident to solve all problems in my life and be strong to accept the failures might come to me. Trust me a constant dropping will wear a hole in the stone.
Beautiful dream is like a boat in our life. Only when we never give up could we successfully sail to the end. Let’s raise the ideal sail; just pursue our dreams!
