At first, I didn't know what to write because boys and girls seem pretty similar to me. Most men are taller and have more muscles than women. My dad is over 6 feet tall but my mom is only 5 foot 4 inches. My dad also has really broad shoulders and big arms from working out at the gym. My mom is smaller and doesn't have as much muscle.Men and women also dress differently. The men I know, like my dad, brother, and uncle, usually wear pants, shirts, and sneakers or boots. The women, like my mom, aunt, and teacher, often wear dresses, skirts, blouses, and shoes with heels. I've never seen a man wear a dress or high heels!Another obvious difference is with their hair. Women tend to have longer hair styles while men keep their hair shorter. My dadand brother have buzzcuts but my mom's hair goes past her shoulders. Some men are even bald on top! I've never seen a bald woman before.Men and women also act differently. The men in my life are louder, more physical, and like to joke around more. My dad and brother are always wrestling, throwing a football, orplay-fighting. My mom doesn't really do any of that stuff. She's more quiet, calm, and serious. Whenever my brother and I get too rowdy, she has to tell us to settle down.I've noticed that men and women sometimes have different favorite activities too. My dad loves watching sports, going fishing, working on cars, and playing video games. But my mom doesn't really like any of those things. Instead, she enjoys cooking, gardening, reading books, and going shopping. Totally different interests!Jobs are another area where I've seen differences between men and women. Most of the construction workers, police officers, and truck drivers I've seen have been men. But many of the nurses, teachers, and office workers have been women. In contrast, my mom will often use more details and description when explaining things. In general, the men I know tend to be more aggressive, louder, and more stubborn. But the women seem to be more nurturing, sympathetic, and willing to compromise. Just the other day, my brother got in a huge argument with my dad because neither of them wanted to back down. But later that night, my mom was able to calmly talk to them and resolve the disagreement.So in a lot of ways, men and women are quite different - how they look, act, communicate, and even their typical responsibilities. But there are also lots of similarities too. My mom and dad are both hard workers who love our family.
