Teaching procedure
●Step One (W arming-up)
Introduce the group-competition to the class simply and clearly, which is also an adventurous story about Harry Potter. Our students must help Harry to get several magic weapons so that he can be a real magician. There are three levels in all---vocabularies, phrases and grammar.
●Step Two (5 min)
There are 12 magic bottles, each of which contains important words we have ever learned. C level from each group have the right to pick up any bottle and translate the words. This part is divided into two sections---one is to translate English into Chinese, and the other is to translate Chinese into English. It will take 5 minutes to finish this
step.
●Step Three (10 min)
Here comes the phrases. There are six moving books from which students can see several important phrases. It also requires two sections----one is easy for C and B level to match the phrases with meanings, and the other is a bit difficult for B and A level to choose one phrase and make one or two sentences on the blackboard.
●Step Four (25min)

1)Look at the map and answer questions and try to make some
sentences.

How can Harry get to the book shop? (go along, turn left, go across)
