Hell, class. Do you like to know how I learned my English? I’d like to tell you how I learned to learn my English.
3a Reading and writing
It’s time to read the text How I learned English on page 6. After reading check (/) the sentences.
Read the text to cut/ the sentence into thought groups, blacken the predicates, darken the connectives and underline all the useful expressions.
You are going to copy in your notebook all the useful expressions and make sentences of your own with them.
Now let’s try to write by imitation. Imitation writing is taking the work of a 'master' writer and using the structure and patterns as a form to learn and work from.
3b Reading and writing
Your friend Lin Feng is having difficulties with her English. Read the unfinished letter on page 6 and finish it telling her how to become a better English learner.
3c Thinking and writing
You have been learning English for at least three years. That is such a long time. Now think about the things that have helped you the most in learning English. Write an article telling others about them.
4 Interviewing and telling
