爱他哥哥弟弟打扰他写作业的英语作文

爱他哥哥弟弟打扰他写作业的英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Annoying Brother/Sister Bugs Me When I'm Doing Homework!Ugh, I'm so frustrated right now! I was just trying to do my math homework, but my pesky little brother/sister had to come into my room and bother me. It's like they have a sixth sense for knowing exactly when I'm trying to focus and get my work done. Why can't they just leave me alone sometimes?I was sitting at my desk, working through the word problems. Math is probably my least favorite subject, so I really need to concentrate. These problems were extra tricky too, with all the multiple steps and stuff. But I was making progress and feeling pretty good about myself. Then, all of a sudden, I hear the pitter-patter of little feet running down the hall. My bedroom door flies open and in comes my brother/sister at full speed. They run a few laps around my room, giggling up a storm. I shot them a look thatwas meant to say "Get out of here! I'm working!" But they either didn't notice or didn't care.Next thing I know, they flop down right next to me and start poking me over and over again. "Whatcha doooooing? This looks boring! Let's do something fun instead!" They grab my pencil right out of my hand and start doodling all over my homework paper. Are you kidding me?!I snatch the pencil back and give them another stern look. "Cut it out! I'm trying to do my homework here. Why don't you go play with your toys or something?" But my brother/sister just laughs and sticks their tongue out at me. Ugh, so immature! Then they start chanting my name over and over in that super annoying singsong way little kids do. "Johnny! Johnny! Johnny Johnny Johnny!" While kicking their feet against the legs of my chair rhythmically. I put my hands over my ears but it's no use. They just get louder and louder. Finally, I've had enough. I stand up, grab them by the arm, and literally drag them out of my room. I shut and lock the door behind them. For a brief beautiful moment, there's blissful silence. Maybe now篇2My Annoying BrothersI have two brothers, Tommy and Danny. They are the most annoying brothers in the whole wide world! Whenever I try to do my homework, they always bother me and won't leave me alone. It drives me crazy! After school, I like to have a snack and then get started on my homework right away. I sit down at the kitchen table with my books and papers all spread out. I get out my pencils and erasers. I'm ready to work hard and get everything done. But just when I start writing, here come my pesky brothers!Tommy is the oldest of us three. He's 10 years old. Danny is 7 years old. I'm right in the middle at 8 years old. You'd think since Tommy is older, he would act more mature. But no way! He acts just as bad as Danny a lot of the time. They start bugging me by making a bunch of noise and being super loud. "Rachel! Rachel! Look at me! Watch this!" Tommy will yell as he starts doing silly dances or telling dumb jokes. Danny just laughs his annoying giggly laugh. It makes me want to pull my hair out!I tell them firmly, "Be quiet! I'm trying to do my homework!" But they never listen to me. Danny might be quiet for a minute, but then he starts poking me with his finger or flicking little paper balls at me. So aggravating!Sometimes Tommy will come over and mess up all my stuff on the table, mixing up my papers and knocking my pencils on the floor. Or he'll grab my eraser and start rubbing it all over his face, leaving gross eraser marks everywhere. Danny thinks it's hysterically funny and then he has to do it too. They are such big babies! When I get really mad, I yell at them to go away. But they never leave me alone for long. Before I know it, they are back - poking, bothering, bugging me again. Sometimes they fight with each other too, pushing and shoving right next to me. Don't they understand how distracting and frustrating that is when I'm trying so hard to focus?I have to stay super calm and not let them see me get too upset. Because if I do, they'll just bother me even more since they know it's really getting to me. But it's so hard when they are being so obnoxious and disruptive!I've asked Mom and Dad to please make them go play somewhere else while I do my homework. But my parents are busy cooking dinner and doing other stuff, so they don't alwaysnotice what's going on. Or they'll say, "Boys, leave your sister alone!" But then two minutes later, the torment starts again.Sometimes, I'll pack up all my homework and stomp off to my bedroom, slamming the door behind me. That gets them in trouble, but then I can't concentrate in my room either. Because they just follow me in there and keep on bugging me! There's no escape.I've tried bribing them with snacks or stickers to go away.I've tried calling them names (which I know I shouldn't do). I've tried everything, but nothing works! They are like two pesky little flies that won't stop buzzing around me.I'm usually a pretty good student and I take my homework seriously. But with all their constant pestering, it's a miracle I ever get anything done! I find myself having to erase a lot and rewrite things because I got distracted. Sometimes I turn in sloppy work because I was just so frustrated and wanted to be finished.I feel bad complaining because I know brothers are supposed to play together and be buddies. And I do love Tommy and Danny a lot, even though they drive me up the wall. We have fun together at other times. But when it comes to homework time, I really need peace and quiet so I can concentrate. I wish there was a force field I could put around myself to keep them out. Or maybe Mom and Dad could build a special homework room just for me with a lock on the door! A girl can dream, right?I've decided that when I grow up, I'm not going to have any kids at all. Because based on how awful my brothers are right now, I'm pretty sure any kids I had would turn out to be utter nightmares who would make my life even more miserable than it already is with Tommy and Danny! So if you're an only child, consider yourself lucky. You have no idea what kinds of torture you're missing out on! I'll just be over here, pulling out my hair one strand at a time, while my crazy brothers continue to pester me to death. Ah, the life of the overlooked middle child. It's not easy, my friends. Not easy at all!篇3My Annoying BrothersI love my brothers, I really do. But sometimes they can be so annoying and make it hard for me to get my homework done. My older brother Jake is 12 and my little brother Tommy is 6. I'm right in the middle at 9 years old. After school, I like to grab a snack and then start my homework right away so I can get it done and have the rest of the night to play video games or watch TV. But as soon as I sit down at the kitchen table, here come Jake and Tommy to bother me.Jake is always teasing me and calling me names like "homework nerd" or "teacher's pet." He thinks it's so funny and cool to act like school and homework are stupid. But I actually like learning new things and doing well in my classes. I wish Jake would grow up and stop being such an immature bully. Then there's little Tommy who just can't sit still or be quiet for two seconds. He's always making weird noises, running around like a maniac, and trying to grab my pencils and papers. I'll be trying to concentrate on a tough math worksheet and he'll come yank on my arm going "Whatcha doin? Whatcha doin? Can I color? I'm bored!"I tell him nicely at first, "Tommy, please let me work on my homework. I need to focus." But he never listens. He just keeps being disruptive until I finally yell at him, "Get out of here! Go away!" Which makes him cry and get me in trouble with Mom and Dad.Then there's the fighting and yelling between Jake and Tommy that is impossible to tune out. They'll start wrestling and shoving each other, knocking into the table and sending my books and papers flying everywhere. Again, I plead with them: "Cut it out, you guys! I'm trying to do my homework!" No use.Sometimes I try to escape the chaos by going to my bedroom, but they just follow me in there. Jake makes fun of me for being so "studious" and Tommy starts jumping on the bed or something. No matter where I go in our small apartment, there's no peace and quiet.I've asked Mom and Dad to please make Jake and Tommy go to their own rooms or go outside when I'm doing homework, but they say I need to learn how to deal with distractions and tune things out. Easier said than done when you have such an aggravating big brother and such an annoying little brother!I'm lucky that my best friend Michael is an only child and I can sometimes go over to his house after school to work on homework in peace. His parents are really nice and make sure it's quiet for me to concentrate. Michael thinks it's so cool to have brothers, but I tell him he doesn't realize how maddening it can be.On the nights when I stay home to do my homework, I've tried everything...pleading, yelling, threatening to tell Mom and Dad, trying to tune it all out by listening to music with headphones. But nothing works. Jake and Tommy always find a way to torment me until my homework is finally done at like 9pm. Ugh!I just have to keep reminding myself that this annoying phase with my brothers won't last forever. Jake is already almost a teenager, so maybe he'll start acting a little more mature and responsible soon. As for Tommy, well, he's still pretty young so I guess I have to just be patient until he outgrows this hyper, restless phase. At least that's what I tell myself when I'm ready to just completely lose it on them.Someday when I'm old enough to get my own apartment, you'd better believe it's going to be a nice, quiet place where I can study in peace. No annoying big brothers or pesky little brothers allowed! Just me, my books, some soothing music maybe...and beautiful silence. Ah, one can dream! For now, I'll just have to keep my cool as much as I can. And be sure to get any big homework assignments or test studying done at Michael's house instead of my crazy place. With Jake andTommy around, it's pretty much impossible to concentrate. But I still love those knuckleheads...most of the time anyway!篇4My Annoying BrothersI love my big brother Mike and my little brother Timmy, but sometimes they drive me crazy! They always seem to bother me when I'm trying to do my homework, and it makes it so hard for me to concentrate. Let me tell you about what happened yesterday.I got home from school and went straight to my room to start on my math homework. I had a bunch of word problems to solve, and I was really struggling with one about fractions. Just as I was trying to figure it out, Mike came barging into my room without even knocking!"Whatcha doing, squirt?" he said, ruffling my hair."Stop it, Mike! I'm trying to do my homework," I protested, pushing his hand away."Oh, yeah? Let me see." He grabbed my notebook and started reading the problem out loud in a silly voice.I tried to snatch it back, but he held it up high where I couldn't reach. "Give it back!" I shouted. That's when Timmy came toddling in, dragging his favorite stuffed bear behind him. "What's going on?" he asked innocently."Nothing, Timmy," I sighed. "Mike's just being a jerk again.""Am not!" Mike said, sticking his tongue out篇5My Big, Annoying Brothers and SistersSchool is so much fun! I love learning new things every day, from math to science to reading and writing. But you know what's not fun at all? Trying to do my homework when my big brothers and sisters are around being super annoying!See, I'm the youngest of five kids in my family. I have two older brothers, Jake and Tommy, and two older sisters, Emily and Sarah. They're all a few years older than me, which means they're bigger, louder, and just plain crazier! Whenever I sit down at the kitchen table to work on my assignments after school, it's like a crazy circus comes to town.Let me tell you about yesterday, for example. I had this really important book report due on Charlotte's Web, which is this classic book about a pig named Wilbur and his friend Charlotte, who's a spider. I was trying so hard to concentrate and write a good report, but Jake and Tommy just wouldn't leave me alone!First, Jake comes barreling into the kitchen, dribbling his basketball and shouting, "Three pointer! Nothing but net!" He nearly knocked over my pencil case and scared me half to death.I told him to be quiet since I was working, but he just laughed and kept dribbling around me. Like, come on bro, have you never heard of inside voices?A few minutes later, Tommy strolls in from playing outside, trailing mud all over the floor. "Hey squirt, whatcha working on?" he asks, leaning over my shoulder to look at my paper. I shoo him away, telling him he's getting his gross mud hands all over my homework. But does he listen? Of course not! He just ruffles my hair and smears more dirt on me. Gross!Right about then, Emily and Sarah come home from the mall, giggling and talking about some boy they think is cute. They didn't even notice me at first, until Emily nearly tripped over Tommy's muddy footprints. "Ew, who made this mess?" sheshrieks. That's when they both finally see me, still trying my best to focus on my book report."Aww, look at the little baby doing her homework!" Sarah teases in that annoying high-pitched voice. Emily joins in, pinching my cheeks. "Isn't she just the cutest little bookworm?"At this point, I've pretty much given up on getting any work done. Between Jake's basketball, Tommy's mud, and my sisters' non-stop teasing, there's just no way I can concentrate. I snap my book shut in frustration."I'm never going to get this stupid report done with you guys bothering me every two seconds!" I shout, fighting back tears. I hate crying, especially in front of my brothers and sisters, because I know they'll just make fun of me even more. For once, my siblings actually look a little guilty. "Aw man, we're sorry squirt," Tommy says, trying to ruffle my hair again. This time I swat his hand away. Emily and Sarah exchange a look."Why don't you go work upstairs in our room?" Emily suggests. "We'll make sure the guys leave you alone up there."I think about it for a second, then nod. Maybe having a little peace and quiet is exactly what I need to finish this report and get it over with. The rest of the evening is a lot more relaxing and productive. My sisters even bring me a snack at one point and help me proofread my final draft. Don't get me wrong, my brothers and sisters still drive me absolutely crazy sometimes. But moments like that make me remember that, deep down, they really do care about me. Even if they have a super weird way of showing it!I can't wait to turn in my book report and hopefully get a good grade. Although who knows, with my crazy family, maybe I'll accidentally grab one of Tommy's muddy socks instead of my homework on my way out the door. A girl can dream, right? But no matter what kind of shenanigans they get up to, I'll always love my big, ridiculous, annoying brothers and sisters. Even when they really make me want to scream!篇6My Annoying Brothers Always Bother Me When I'm Doing Homework!I have two brothers, an older one named Michael who is 12, and a younger one named Tommy who is 6 years old. I love them both, but oh boy, do they ever drive me crazy when I'm trying to concentrate on my schoolwork! It seems like every single time I sit down at my desk to start on an assignment, one of them (or both!) has to come barging into my room, making lots of noise and distracting me. My mom is always telling them to leave me alone so I can focus, but they never listen.Michael is the worst. He thinks because he's older than me that he can boss me around and tease me as much as he wants. He's always coming up with silly voices or pulling dumb faces to try to make me laugh when I'm working. Then when I don't pay attention to his "hilarious" jokes, he gets all huffy."Ugh, you're so boring Owen! Don't you have any sense of humor?" he'll whine at me. As if I'm the weird one for actually caring about getting good grades! And Tommy is no better, even though he's much younger. That little guy has a billion toys scattered all over the house, but he always wants to play with whatever I'm using for my homework instead. He'll come toddling into my room, grab one of my pencils or rulers, and then get upset when I try to take it back!"No! Mine!" he'll shriek at the top of his lungs. Then he starts blubbering like a baby until either Michael or one of my parentshas to come deal with his tantrum. Nice distraction, Tommy, thanks a lot!Whenever I politely ask them to go play somewhere else, they whine and complain like I'm being so unfair and mean to them. But hello?! I'm just trying to get my work done here! Is that seriously too much to ask for a little peace and quiet in my own room?I've tried so many things to get them to leave me alone, but nothing ever works. I've bribed them with snacks and even offered to play their favorite video games with them later if they'll just go away for a little while. But they always end up forgetting about our deal after 10 minutes and come barging back in again.I've hidden in the bathroom to try to work, but then they pound on the door and make silly noises until I have to come out. I've put a sign up that says "Homework Time! Do Not Disturb!" but they both think that sign is hysterical and spend ages knocking it down and running around with it.Even with my headphones on, blasting my favorite music, they manage to distract me by pulling faces in my periphery or body-slamming each other and making tons of crashing sounds. It's impossible to concentrate! My poor mom is constantly shouting at them to leave me be and giving them time-outs, but that barely fazes them. They're like a couple of wild tornadoes - completely unstoppable! I'm pretty sure they actually get some sort of twisted enjoyment out of annoying me and preventing me from ever being productive.Sometimes I get so fed up that I just have to storm out of the house and go do my homework at a friend's place or at the library. But it's not fair that I have to go somewhere else when it's my own brothers creating the problem in the first place! Ugh, the struggle is so real.I try my best to be a good role model and set an example of hard work and perseverance for them. But it's like they have some sort of knack for sensing the exact moment that I've really gotten in a productive groove, and then they descend upon me like a couple of human wrecking balls!"Whatcha doing? That looks boring. Come play with us instead!" They simply don't get that some things in life, like education, are important even when they're not instantly fun and gratifying.Sometimes I wonder what brain scientists would make of the way my brothers behave. Is there some sort of chemical imbalance there that causes them to act so impulsively andprioritize pure amusement over everything else? Maybe their dopamine levels are just permanently stuck on high or something.I try so hard to be patient with them. I really do. After all, they're still just little kids learning about the world. But sheesh, you'd think after all my pleas and explanations they'd finally get that homework has to come before hobbies and roughhousing sometimes! My parents keep saying that one day I'll look back and cherish these wild childhood memories with my brothers. But let me tell you, in the heat of the moment when I'm just trying to concentrate on a essay or study for a test and they simply won't leave me alone, the struggle feels very real. All I can think is "Why me? What did I do to deserve this torment?!"I dream of the day when they'll be old enough to understand and care about things like personal space, being considerate of others' needs, and letting people work without constant distractions. But for now, it seems my life is doomed to be a constant cacophony of sibling shrieks, giggles, and stampeding little feet no matter where I try to hunker down with my books.I guess all I can do is keep trying my best, continue advocating for my need for peace and quiet, and maybe startputting away money now for the therapy I'll undoubtedly need as an adult thanks to my amazingly annoying - yet ultimately lovable - little brothers!。

甘肃省近十年高考英语作文题目汇总

甘肃省近十年高考英语作文题目汇总全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1A Compilation of Gansu Province's Gaokao English Composition Topics from the Past DecadeHi everyone! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I live in Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu Province. My big sister just took the gaokao, which is the big important test that all high school students in China have to take to get into university. The English part has a writing section where you have to write a composition on a certain topic. I thought it would be fun to look back at the English composition prompts from the Gansu gaokao over the past 10 years and tell you all about them!In 2023, the prompt was "If you could travel back in time, which period of history would you choose to visit and why?" Wow, that's such a cool idea! I would definitely want to go back to ancient China during the Qin Dynasty when they were building the Great Wall. Or maybe the Tang Dynasty when there were all those amazing poets. I could bring back cool artifacts for show and tell at school! The 2022 topic was "Describe a person who has had a significant influence on you and explain how they impacted your life." Hmm for me it would probably be my grandpa. He's taught me so much about our family history and always has the best stories from when he was young. He inspired me to start writing my own storybook! In 2021, students had to write about "The benefits and drawbacks of social media." I'm not really allowed on social media yet since I'm too young, but I know my sister is always on WeChat and TikTok. It seems like a cool way to stay connected with friends but also maybe a big distraction from schoolwork. I can see pros and cons for sure. The 2020 gaokao asked "What qualities do you think are most important for a leader to possess?" I think a good leader needs to be brave, smart, and know how to inspire people to work hard together as a team. Like in soccer, the best coaches get everyone to play their positions well. Maybe I'll be a leader when I'm older! For 2019, the prompt was "What change would you like to see in your hometown/country in the next 10 years?" Hmm for Lanzhou, it would be great if we could reduce all the air pollution from the factories. I'd love to be able to see the mountains moreclearly on a sunny day. And it would be awesome if we got a Legoland or something fun like that for kids!In 2018, students wrote about "The most important invention or scientific discovery of the past 100 years." Wow there are so many amazing ones to pick from! My first thought was the invention of the internet and smartphones since they've changed howwe live so much. But also things like antibiotics and vaccines have saved millions of lives. Maybe I'll be a famous inventor when I grow up!The 2017 topic asked "What qualities make a good friend?" I've learned that good friends are people who are honest, loyal, fun to be around, and accept you for who you are. My best friend Xiaolan always has my back and we like playing basketball and video games together after school. We've been buddies since we were little kids. For 2016, the prompt was "How can individuals reduce their ecological footprint?" Things like wasting less food, recycling, taking public transportation instead of driving, and conserving energy can all make a difference. At my school, we have a "green team" that helps sort the trash into recyclables and compost bins.I always make sure to pack a reusable water bottle instead of disposable ones.In 2015, students had to write about "The influence of advertising in modern society." Ads are everywhere these days, whether it's billboards, TV commercials, product placement in movies and shows, or online pop-ups. Companies use them to try to convince us to buy their products and services. Some are funny and creative but others are really annoying! Advertising can definitely shape trends and consumption habits. And way back in 2014, the gaokao English composition prompt was "Indicate whether you agree that students should be required to learn a foreign language, and explain your stance." I think it's a great idea to learn another language! Being bilingual opens up so many opportunities when you travel or want to work in another country someday. I'm working really hard on my English skills and maybe I'll take up Spanish too. The more languages the better in our globalized world!Well there you have it, a whole decade's worth of Gansu gaokao English essay topics! They definitely gave students a chance to opine on some fascinating subjects from time travel and social media, to leadership, inventions, friendship, the environment, advertising, and language learning. I had fun summarizing each prompt and giving my own 10-year-old take on the ideas. Whether it's the gaokao or just writing for school, composing gives you a creative way to express your thoughts and learn about the world. Here's hoping the next decade of topics will be just as interesting to reflect on! Thanks for reading, bye!篇2My Big Bro Tells Me About the Gansu Gaokao English EssayMy big brother is super smart and getting ready for the gaokao this year. He's been studying sooooo hard! I'm just a little kid in elementary school, but I'm really curious what kinds of essay questions they ask on such an important test. So I bothered my brother to tell me all about the English essay section. He groaned at first, but then I gave him my best puppy dog eyes and he couldn't resist!"Alright squirt, I'll tell you. But you better pay attention!" my brother said. "The gaokao English essay has been testing similarthings over the past ten years or so. They really want to see if you can write a well-organized essay that gets your point across clearly.""What kinds of topics do they give you to write about?" I asked eagerly. My brother thought for a moment. "Well, a common theme is exploring issues in modern society - things like environmental protection, technological advancements, education issues, and so on. For example, one year the prompt was 'With the development of society, an increasing number of people use private cars, causing severe air pollution and traffic jams. How to deal with this problem?'""Oooh, I can think of some solutions!" I exclaimed. "Like taking the bus, or riding bikes! Or self-driving electric cars could help!"My brother chuckled. "You're on the right track! The key is to lay out your viewpoint logically and provide solid reasoning and examples."He continued, "Another common type of essay prompt is about interpersonal relationships and moral values. So discussing things like how to be a good friend, the importance of honesty, respecting differences between cultures, and so on.""That sounds kind of boring though," I said, wrinkling my nose."Hey, moral values are important!" my brother objected. "Like one year, the prompt was 'Honesty is the best policy. Doyou agree or disagree?' Even for an issue that seems simple, you have to put thought into your stance and supporting arguments."I nodded, trying to seem wise beyond my years. My brother went on recounting more potential essay topics."They also commonly ask about social issues facing youth - peer pressure, balancing academics and extracurriculars, dealing with stress and anxiety. The goal is to demonstrate mature thinking on these adolescent challenges.""No wonder you seem so stressed all the time!" I couldn't help but interject. My brother just sighed and kept going."Then of course, some prompts center around looking to the future - like 'What will the world be like 50 years from now?' or 'How will technology transform our lives in the decades ahead?' For those, you have to let your imagination run wild a bit!"My eyes widened. "Oh oh, I've got lots of ideas for that one! Like maybe we'll all be living in outer space cities! Or have robot butlers to do our chores! Or...""Alright, alright, I get the idea," my brother said with a bemused smile. "Anyway, those are some of the major themes. But no matter the topic, the key things the graders look for areclear and logical organization, sufficient examples and details, properly addressing all aspects of the prompt, minimal grammar and spelling mistakes, and an overall cohesive through-line."I tried to seem like I understood all those big words he was using. "So...you basically just have to write a really good essay? About whatever they tell you to write about?"My brother nodded. "Essentially, yes. It's a test of your comprehensive English writing ability. No small feat when your future could be riding on it!"He ruffled my hair affectionately. "But don't worry your mop-topped little head about that just yet. You just focus on your times tables and fingerpainting for now."I made a face at him. "Hey, I'm not that little! I'm gonna work extra hard so I can write amazing essays too when it's my turn for the gaokao!"My brother just laughed. "We'll see about that, squirt. For now, let me get back to studying. I've got a decade's worth of essay prompts to prepare for!"I watched him disappear back into his mountain of books and notes. I had a new appreciation for just how much incredibly hard work and deep thinking was going into preparing for thoseEnglish essay questions. Though some of the topics did seem a teensy bit boring to me, if I'm being honest. I just hoped that by the time it's my turn to take the big test, living octopus teachers will exist to help make writing all those essays way more fun!篇3The Gaanu Collitch Entrince Esseys Over the Last 10 YeersHi frends! My older cousin is preparing for the big Gaokao exam to get into university. He's been stressing out a lot about the English essay section. I tried to help him study by looking over the essay prompts from the last 10 years of Gaokao exams in our province. There sure were a lot of different topics! I'll share what I found in kid-friendly terms. In 2022, one prompt asked about the advantages and disadvantages of social media. As a kid, I think it's cool to connect with friends online but nasty comments can be hurtful. Another 2022 topic was about environmental protection. I love trees, animals, and keeping our planet clean! The 2021 prompts covered international cultural exchanges and the importance of physical exercise. Exchanging ideas with friends from other countries seems fun. And I sure do enjoy P.E. class at school! One 2021 essay asked about the role models that influence youth. My role models are definitely my parents and teachers. In 2020, there were topics about the impact of artificial intelligence and the sharing economy. AI computers sound super smart but also kinda scary if they get out of control? And I like sharing my extra snacks with classmates.2019's prompts discussed the challenges of urbanization and mainstream vs. niche cultures. Cities are awesome with their tall buildings and subway trains! I'm a bit of a niche kid who loves robots and coding though. The 2018 essays covered environmental pollution and the value of keeping promises. Pollution is so gross and unhealthy. And I always try my best to keep the promises I make, like finishing my homework. In 2017, there were prompts about the pros and cons of internet technology and how to promote reading among youth. I love using apps and websites to learn, but they can also bedistracting. As for reading, I'm a huge fan of comic books and adventure novels!2016's topics looked at the growing cultural communications between China and other countries, and the role of sports in personal development. I think it's really cool learning about cultures around the world. Sports help me stay active and healthy too.The 2015 prompts discussed the impact of migration on society and the work-life balance. I can't imagine having to move away from my family and friends. Work-life balance means leaving time for fun after homework and chores, right? In 2014, there were essays about the challenges of an aging population and the influence of advertising on consumption. My grandparents are getting pretty old. And those toy commercials always make me want the latest playsets! Finally, the 2013 prompts covered how to cultivate an interest in reading and the pros and cons of video games. Reading is fundamental for learning, but video games can be super fun in moderation. Too much gaming rots your brain!Whew, that was a lot to cover! The Gaokao English essays really range across so many thought-provoking topics related tosociety, technology, culture, and ethical issues. I tried explaining them in simple kid terms. Hopefully this summary helps my cousin and other Gaokao test-takers get a handle on 10 years' worth of potential essay prompts. The English portion looks incredibly challenging, but I know they can do it with enough hard work and preparation. Ganbatte ガンバッテ! That's "good luck" in Japanese.篇5The Gaokao is a Really Big Deal in ChinaWow, the Gaokao English writing section over the last ten years has covered some fascinating topics! The Gaokao, or National College Entrance Examination, is a hugely important test that all Chinese students hoping to go to university must take. My older siblings and cousins have stressed just how crucial scoring well on the Gaokao is. It helps determine what universities you can attend and even future career paths!Every year, students spend months and months preparing for this massive exam. I can't even imagine the pressure! The English writing portion is just one small section, but it's still pretty nerve-wracking. You have to write a well-organized essayon a surprise prompt in just 30 minutes! That's like writing an entire book in the time it takes me to get bored.Over the past decade, the Gansu Gaokao English writing prompts have explored all kinds of thought-provoking themes and questions. Let me give you a rundown of some of the coolest ones I've learned about:2013 - "Are Mobile Phones More of a Blessing or a Curse?"Phones sure are controversial these days! This seems like a fascinating topic to tackle. On one hand, mobile phones connect people across vast distances and provide instant access to tons of information. But they can also be pretty distracting and folks get addicted to them. I'd probably argue they're more a blessing thanks to things like mobile games and memes, but I can see both sides.2014 - "An Unforgettable Experience in My Life"Now this is a writing prompt I could really run with! I have SO many crazy stories from things like the time I accidentally shaved my buddy's cat or when my family got lost in that cave system for 24 hours. Maybe I'd write about the summer I escaped from ninja camp? That was definitely unforgettable.2015 - "The Internet - Convenience or Distraction?"Another tech-related prompt tackling the pros and cons of the crazy modern world we live in. The internet is pretty amazing when you think about the endless knowledge at our fingertips and how we can connect with people everywhere. But then there are the distractions of silly memes, videos of people falling, and those weird fan fiction websites. Tough call!2016 - "An Ancient Chinese Philosopher's Views on Modern Society"Oooh this could be a cool creative writing exercise! I'd probably envision an ancient sage transported to modern times and write about their confusion with things like viral videos, video games, and people's obsession with taking selfies. Or maybe they'd be amazed at humanity's technological progress? This topic has lots of possibilities to explore interesting themes.2017 - "How to Spend a Meaningful Life"Heavy stuff! I'm just a kid so I don't have too much wisdom about the meaning of life. But I'd likely write about the importance of enjoying yourself, pursuing your passions, being a good friend, and eating plenty of ice cream. What else really matters at the end of the day?2018 - "My Attitudes Towards Running"Hmm personally I find running pretty boring unless I'm being chased by a bear or something. Maybe I could write a creative story about going for a run and having an epic adventure involving time travel, aliens, or at least some intense chase scenes? That could make for a more exciting take on this prompt.2019 - "Future Modes of Transportation"Now we're talking! This could be a blast to let my imagination run wild and envision crazy future transports. Flying cars, teleportation devices, hoverboards, Segways but cooler...the possibilities are endless! I'd go all-out describing the wackiest and most awesome contraptions I could dream up.2020 - "The Role of Science and Technology in Human Progress"This one would be great for a more serious, scholarly exploration of how scientific and technological innovations have fundamentally reshaped and advanced human civilization over history. From the printing press to the internet to modern medicine, our mind-blowing progress is awe-inspiring when you really think about it. I could definitely nerd out on this prompt.2021 - "Learning in Happiness is a Perpetual Blessing"Another fairly open-ended prompt about the joys and importance of education and continual learning. I'd write about how learning should be a fun, engaging process of discovery and growth rather than something tedious. Exploring your passions and curiosities is key to leading a fulfilling life!2022 - "When I Am 70 Years Old"This could make for a really interesting imaginative writing exercise. What will the world be like in 60 years? Will we have robot butlers and flying cars? Maybe I'd be a crusty old retired video game streamer or professional meme historian. Or a brilliant scientist like my hero Dr. Bunsen Honeydew? So much potential for creativity with this prompt! Those are just some of the highlights from the past decade of Gansu Gaokao English writing topics. Some were a bit dry and serious, while others opened the door for all kinds of wild imaginative stories and essays. Overall, it's clear the prompts really aim to push students to think critically about big issues while demonstrating solid writing skills.I may only be a kid now, but I can definitely appreciate how important doing well on this portion of the Gaokao is for older students pursuing university. It's a hugely impactful exam and crafting a quality essay under that time pressure seemsincredibly stressful. I'm glad I have many years before needing to worry about that particular challenge! For now, I'm just focused on telling outrageous tall tales, channeling my creativity into epic fiction, and hopefully becoming an author someday. That is, unless I end up as Gansu's first youth comedian or pro video game athlete instead. Only time will tell! All I know is that if the Gaokao comes calling in my future, at least the English writing prompts let you have some fun.篇6The Gaokao English Essay Topics From Gansu - A Kid's ViewHey there, friends! Did you know that in the big province of Gansu, every year lots of students have to take a really important test called the Gaokao? It's like a huge exam that helps decide which university or college they can go to after high school. Pretty exciting stuff, huh?One of the sections on the Gaokao is an English essay that students have to write. The essay topics can be all sorts of different things - some are about big ideas like environmental protection or technological progress, while others focus on more personal matters like family relationships or future goals.Over the past 10 years, the essay prompts from the Gansu Gaokao have covered such a wide range of fascinating subjects! I've gone through them all and wanted to share some of the highlights with you. Get ready for an around-the-world adventure through essay topics! In 2013, students had to write about the importance of traditional culture in the modern world. Ibet lots of them wrote about amazing cultural traditions from Gansu, like the colorful Dunhuang murals or the exciting Regong Arts. The 2014 prompt asked about the role of reading, which is fitting since books can transport you to incredible places without even leaving home!A couple years later in 2016, the essay question centered on friendship and how to be a good friend. I'm sure many students wrote heartwarming stories about their best buddies. The topic of environmental pollution came up in 2017 - definitely a major issue we all need to think carefully about to protect ourone-and-only planet Earth. In more recent years, some of the prompts have really made me stop and think. Like in 2020 when students had to discuss the pros and cons of genetic testing. That's some complex scientific stuff right there! Or how about 2021's topic on the sharingeconomy and businesses like Airbnb? Very modern and cutting-edge.My personal favorite might be the 2022 essay subject: "Which is better - experience or material possessions?" I can just imagine kids my age writing wonderful stories about their most cherished experiences, like family vacations or scoring the winning goal in a big soccer match. After all, materials things are temporary, but beautiful memories can brighten your day forever. Those are just a few highlights, but there have been so many more thought-provoking and creative prompts over the past decade. From reflecting on the importance of role models to pondering humanity's journey into space exploration, the Gansu Gaokao essays have really run the gamut!I don't know about you, but learning about all these topics has gotten me excited to maybe write my own essays one day. Who knows, perhaps I'll even get to take the Gaokao myself in a few years? For now, I'm just impressed by how much deep thinking and self-expression these high school students have put into their essays year after year.Writing lets you explore your inner world and share your unique perspective with others. And from environmentalconservation to technological innovation, it's clear that the next generation of Gansu students have lots of profound ideas worth expressing. I'm proud of them for taking on such weighty subjects, and I eagerly await the brilliant essay topics yet to come!。
