Dutch courage
英国诗人沃勒(Edmund Waller, 1606-1687)在1665年写过如下诗句:“The Dutch their wine and all their brandy lose,/Disarmed of from which their courage grows.”

“ keep me as the apple of the eye /hide me under the shadow of the wings.” 出 自 《 旧 约 · 申 命 记 》( the Old Testament, Deuteronomy),“ Do you know what is“the apple of sb.’s eye”?
