说课稿Good morning , teachers , I’m Number 8. It’s my honour to share my lesson with you . The content of my lesson is New Senior English for China student’s Book3Unit2 Festivals Around the World.I’ll be ready to begin this lesson from 5 parts.Part One Analysis of the teaching materialThis unit is about festivals around the world. By studying this unit, I’ll enable the students to know the basic knowledge about festivals around the world and how people celebrate them. The reading passage is about festivals and celebrations and holds an important position in this unit. If students learn it well, it will be easier to learn the rest part of the unit.According to the new standard curriculum and syllabus, after studying the teaching material, I think the teaching aims are the followings.Knowledge aims:Firstly, students can understand the festivals in this reading passage.Secondly, students can understand the content and structure of the lesson.Ability aims:to train students’ ability of working in pairs, in groupsto improve students’ reading ability, especially skimming, scanning,information-gathering and summarizing.Emotion or moral aimsto arose students’ interest in festivals around the world.to encourage students to be active in activities and make students to be confident.To develop the ability to cooperate with others.Let’s come to the difficult points and important points.According to the national curriculum of English and language learning theory, when teaching reading, we should encourage students to do speed reading for the first time. That’s to say, we should encourage them to read as fast as they can when they do the first reading. So the difficult points are that how to make students grasp the new words and phases, how to improve their reading skill such as scanning, skimming, information gathering and summarizing.Important points include words and phases such as beauty, harvest, take place, look forward to, day and night and so on.Part Two Teaching methodsIn my opinion, the main aims of learning English in the middle school is to develop the students abilities of learning, speaking ,reading, writing and their good sense of English. So in my lesson, I will use cooperative learning approach, communicative approach, whole language teaching method, Task-based language teaching method. I will establishan interaction between the students and teacher. I also use double activities teaching method, question and answer activity teaching method, watch and listen activity, free discussion method.I will use teaching aids, such as a computer, a projector, a tape recorder, multimedia, powerpoint , and blackboard.Party three Studying methodsSome students don’t often use English to express themselves and communicate with others. Some of them aren’t active in class because they are afraid of making mistakes. Probe study and cooperative study methods will be used in my class.
