本版块在前几个课时所涉及的发生在学生身边的过去时态及过去进行时态的事件描述的基础上,围绕“重大的历史事件发生时,人们所做的事”即:“what were you doing when an important event happened?”而展开的一堂阅读课; 通过本节课的学习让学生能通过图片和文章标题,猜测文章的主题内容,激发学生的阅读兴趣;同时让学生学习本单元的阅读策略,学习一定的阅读技巧并在阅读中应用,最后通过问题检验学生对文章的理解,让学生了解重大的历史事件,通过这些重大事件接受人文教育;并讲述自己经历的重大难忘的事件,使他们能从中感悟生活,珍爱生命,感受人生。
学情分析:八年级下学期的学生对于知识的理解能力已有很大提高,接受知识的能力也增强很多。
学生对于本阅读内容所涉及的过去时态和过去进行时态,在本单元前几个课时已打下了一定的基础,听说训练中已经得以充分练习。
但对于阅读课堂来说,增强学生的阅读能力又是本节课的重点和难点,要由易到难,由浅入深,层层递进。
阅读策略的学习是本节课的重点。
通过图片和标题让学生猜测文章主题,并让学生根据不同的课堂活动要求选择不同的阅读方法(skim reading, Fast reading, Detail reading),让学生通过阅读获取信息,并完成读后任务,加深对文章中重点句子的理解。
回顾文章的重大事件,进行复述性口语练习。
教法分析:课堂使用多媒体课件,展示本课时教学目标,教学图片等来开展教学;同时利用录音机进行辅助听力练习及复述历史事件为主的小组合作口语对话练习。
具体做法:采用任务型教学法和小组互助型的自主学习法。
根据2a-2e每部分的任务,指导学生看图片和标题,通过跳读,略读等方法快速掌握文章的主题,提高学生的阅读速度和准确度,同时通过速读和精读来完成细节题和整体理解找同义句的任务。
最后通过小组活动,学生间的沟通交流进行提问回答的口语练习,回顾和复述重大历史事件及人们当时所做的事。
