在征求对方的意见时，用may较多,比can更客气。

can是一个最常用的情态动词，其后跟动词原形，其否定形为cannot,(美国人有时写作can not),缩写形式为can’t.1).can表示“能力”。

eg. Can you sing ? Y es, I can. / I can’t drive.2) can表示能力时可与情态动词互换使用，后者有更多的时态，be able to常被用来示can 所不能表示的将来或完成的概念。
