Unit 1 When is your birthday? 单元备课教材分析：本单元谈论的话题是日期，并围绕这一主题进行听说读写等教学活动。
通过对月份、序数词及相关词汇和短语的学习和运用，学生们可以掌握询问某人生日的方法，并能如何安排自己的业余生活，做时间的主人。
这一话题非常贴近学生们的日常生活，因此可以很容易提高他们的学习兴趣，并且通过对本节课语言知识的运用，学会关心他人，增强与人沟通的能力。
教学目标：1、知识目标：A：学会日期的表达法；B：学会使用序数词；C：学会如何询问某人的生日。
2、能力目标：A：学会询问某人的生日；B：学会谈论对某一天的喜好；C：学会合理安排自己的课余生活。
3、情感目标：A：通过完成任务，使学生学会关心他人，增强与人沟通的意识；B：通过学习对年龄的询问，了解中西方的文化差异。
学情分析：本班的学生通过上学期的学习，都对英语学习产生了兴趣，肯听、读，肯参与英语课堂的相对简单的教学活动，有4-7名学生的英语知识能力基础较差，不敢当着全班同学的面说英语，但是整体配合还可以。
教学策略：1、利用多媒体课件讲解序数词。
利用直观方法呈现各种数词之间的关系，使学生通过对比，找出序数词的变化规则，并用顺口溜和歌谣的形式强化对序数词变化规则的记忆。
2、利用听、读、做游戏、图片等方法再现生词，使学生非常轻松地达到巩固序数词和其它生词的目的。
3、利用一个实物日历导入月份，具有直观性，利用“上刀架”的方式对月份词汇进行再次操练，易于提高学生的学习兴趣。
4、通过师生问答呈现When is your birthday ?并设计听力练习，巩固When is your birthday ?句型。
5、让学生在生日统计活动中互相询问同伴的生日，并汇集成班级生日册，在增进了解的同时，加强了句型在实践中的应用，并完成自己的ID卡片，达到完成自己的个人档案。
还可以制作个人英文日历或者班级日历，安排十一长假，达到语言知识进行社会实践的目的。
