误:We always sleep late on Saturday night.正:We always go to bed late on Saturday night.析:sleep late不是“(晚上)睡得迟”,而是“(早上)睡得长(日上三竿才醒)”。

如:He was so tired that he slept late into the next morning. 他累得一直睡到第二天上午。

3. 在一次竞赛中他们赢了咱们。

误:They won us in a match.正:They beat us in a match.析:beat与win都能够作“赢”、“胜”解。

1. 孩子们星期天在公园玩得很开心。

误:The children had good time in the park on Sundays.
正:The children had a good time in the park on Sundays.
析:have a great time意为“玩得很开心”,是习语,a不能漏用。

如:During the holidays we had a great time. 在假期里我们玩得很开心。

2. 星期六晚上我们总是很晚才睡。

误:We always sleep late on Saturday night.
正:We always go to bed late on Saturday night.
析:sleep late不是“(晚上)睡得迟”,而是“(早上)睡得长(日上三竿才醒)”。

如:He was so tired that he slept late into the next morning. 他累得一直睡到第二天上午。

3. 在一次比赛中他们赢了我们。

误:They won us in a match.
正:They beat us in a match.
析:beat与win都可以作“赢”、“胜”解。

“赢某人”是beat somebody。

如:We weren’t sure we could beat them. 我们不能确信我们能赢他们。

“赢比赛或一场战斗”是win a game(or a battle)。

该例中的“再”是“另外的”意思。

another后接名词时,意指“另外的”事和东西,与原来的无关。

比较:
Sing us another song. 给我们再唱支歌。

Sing the song again. 这首歌再唱一遍。

5. 他们谁也不知道怎么办。

误:No one of them knew what to do.
正:None of them knew what to do.
析:no one与nobody同义,只能用于指人,具有泛指的意义,没有固定的范围,所以后面不能跟of短语。

如:No one likes a person with bad manners. 谁也不喜欢不讲礼貌的人。

none可用来指人、动物、事物,有固定的范围,后面可以接of短语。

如:None of us attended the meeting yesterday. 昨天我们当中没有人参加会议。

I liked none of the books. 这些书我全不喜欢。

—没向谁讲话。

误:—Who are you speaking to?
—None.
正:— Who are you speaking to?
—No one.
析:在简略答语中,no one用来回答who的问句。

如:“Who is in the classroom?” “No one.” “谁在教室里?”“没有谁。

”而none则用来回答how many或how much引起的问句。

如:“How many books do you have?” “None.” “你有多少本书?”“一本也没有。


7. 晚饭后我们去散步好吗?
误:Shall we go for walk after supper?
正:Shall we go for a walk after supper?
析:“去散步”应译为go for a walk,类似的短语还有:go for a ride 去骑马;go for a swim去游泳。

8. 我休息日过得没意思。

误:I hadn’t fun on my day off.
正:I didn’t have fun on my day off.
析:have fun意为“玩得高兴”,其中have不作“有”解,变成疑问句和否定句时须用助动词do(does, did)。

如:Do you have fun in the park on Sundays? 星期天你们在公园玩得高兴吗?
9. 本月末我们将去参观长城。

误:We’ll go to the Great Wall in the end of this month.
正:We’ll go to the Great Wall at the end of this month.
析:表示“在……末”,指“年、月、日、世纪等时间点”,应该说at the end of…。

如:At the end of 1998, he came back from Japan. 在1998年末,他从日本回来了。

10. 去年这个时候这儿雨水很多。

误:We had a lot of rains here this time last year.
正:We had a lot of rain here this time last year.
析:rain表示“雨”、“雨水”,是不可数名词。

如:Could you tell us if you have plenty of rain? 请告诉我们你们那里雨水充足吗?如果指雨的类型或特定场合下的雨是可数名词,可用复数或不定冠词a。

如:Oh, what a heavy rain! 好大的雨啊!
