Teaching Plan for 2a to 3b, Section B,
Learning objectives:
1. Learn and practice some new words and phrases: Thailand，symbol，flag，places，water，tree，ivory，Thai;get lost，be in great danger，cut down，be made of ;forget，kill
2. Read the small passage with some basic reading skills: understand the central meaning and choose the best title(Let’s save the Elephants.) by skimming; and the detailed information (Importance in Thailand, Facts and figures, Abilities, How to save them.) by scanning.
3. Learn to write a small passage about one’s favorite animal with the language learned so far (e.g., This is …. She’s from …. She is…years old. She is …(lazy). She likes… . She can…I like it because…etc.)
4. Learn some basic writing skills: how to brainstorm about the topic, write a sensible draft, proofread with peers and revise the draft, etc.
