什么是Essay(大学申请论文)-顺顺留学

It was my last day here and suddenly, it all seemed like an incredible dream. Like several teenagers from the United States of America, I had spent my summer participating in an Outward Bound program, an unconventional yet extraordinary experience that truly had an enormous impact on me as an individual.I remember very clearly. It was nearly six o''clock in the morning and my mates and I had gathered for breakfast around the now discolored plastic mat that had served as our portable dining table for the past five days. The temperature was negative three degrees Celsius and my hands quivered as my numb fingers struggled to grip the spoon. While attempting to gulp the unsavory, bland mixture of Weet-Bix and powdered milk with Vegemite on toast for the last time, I listened carefully as the plans of the day were discussed, trying desperately to ignore the tiny vestiges of leaves and soil in my meal. Thirty-one more laborious kilometers to the top of Mount Tenet before noon, someone had said. Soreness submersed my freezing body as it ached just at the thought of positioning the twenty-two kilogram backpack on my shoulders. It was six thirty now. After ensuring that nothing had been left behind and the natural habitat appeared untouched as it did when we first arrived, we resumed our journey. Each strenuous step, although demanding, was taken with determination and strength. With scraped legs, sore backs, and tired minds, there, with our heads held high, we stood on the top of the summit. I cannot exactly describe what that amazing sensation was – a feeling of pride, a sense of accomplishment, or perhaps, a little bit of both. Here, as I stood glancing over the capital city of Australia with a map in my hand and a compass around my neck, about ten thousand miles away from home, I was more confident and sure of myself than I had ever been. I knew exactly what I wanted to do, and more importantly, how I wanted to do it.Today, I have returned to my real world to fresh food, daily showers, and clean clothes. I wake not to crawling insects or the terror of hiking another thirty kilometers but instead to the countless responsibilities of a high school senior. My mind floods with thoughts of looming application deadlines, the ever so significant college essays, and of course, an exceptional score on the dreaded SAT. However, often, when I falter at such notions, I pause and appreciate, reminding myself of the strong and determined Janki that had survived in arduous circumstances in a strange city with strange people, who soon became great friends. I remind myself of the Janki that built her own shelter and along with her other companions convinced those that wanted to give up to continue. And when I remind myself of this Janki that stood in the meeting hall, deeply immersed in thoughts as the instructor gave her farewell message, I am convinced that I am ready. . .ready to face with confidence any mountain that is waiting for me, college or otherwise.

Dear Michael,I hope you and your family are doing well! I was so excited when you told me you want to go to university in America after you finish high school. Getting into a good university can be hard, but I'll share what I've learned from my older brother who just went through the application process. The first thing you need to do is take a big test called the SAT or ACT. These tests have sections on reading, writing, and math. You'll need to get a good score to get into the best schools. My brother studied really hard and took a prep class to get ready. He said the math sections were the hardest for him. After you take those tests, you need to decide which universities you want to apply to. There are so many great schools to choose from! Do you want a huge university with over 40,000 students like Ohio State? Or maybe a smaller liberal arts college with only a few thousand students? Schools in the city are different than rural campuses too.My brother made a big list of about 10 schools he was interested in, with some "safety" schools that are easier to get into mixed in with his dream schools. He said it's really importantto apply to multiple places in case you don't get into your top choices. The application itself is like a huge form where you write about your grades, test scores, extracurricular activities, awards, jobs, volunteering experience and more. You'll also need to ask your teachers for letters of recommendation praising what a great student you are.One of the biggest parts is the personal statement essay. This is your chance to tell the admissions officers about your life story, interests, goals and why you'd be a great fit at their university. My brother wrote about his love of computer programming and app development. He talked about winning a coding competition and leading the technology club at school.Another important part is the interview. My brother had to do interviews over Zoom with admissions counselors from three of the schools he applied to. They asked him all sorts of questions to learn more about his personality and achievements. He practiced a ton to get ready. While you're applying, you also need to figure out how to pay for university, since it can cost over 50,000 per year at some colleges! My brother got scholarships covering about half hiscosts for getting good grades and test scores. He also got grants and took out loans to help cover the rest. After months of hard work, my brother got into his dream school, Stanford University! Sadly, he also got rejected from some other great schools like Harvard and MIT. But since he applied to a balanced list of colleges, he had other good options too.Once you get your admissions decisions, you'll need to pick which university to commit to by a certain deadline in May. My brother's dorm room is already assigned for the fall! He's so excited to start his university journey in sunny California.I know the application process can seem really overwhelming and stressful. My best advice is to start preparing really early, at least a year or two before you apply. Join lots of clubs and activities now to make your application stand out. Study hard to get amazing grades and test scores. And make sure to apply to a variety of universities, not just your dream school.Let me know if you have any other questions! I'm happy to help explain anything else about the crazy American university admissions process. Just take it one step at a time, stay organized, and keep working toward your goal. You've got this!Your friend, [Your name]。

Essay IFinance fascinated me because of its increasingly important role in modern management and for its interdisciplinary character, as it encompasses management science, statistics, and accounting. With the overall plan made before college of starting my career in an investment bank or commercial bank, I aim to prepare myself by obtaining fundamental knowledge in both accounting and finance. While accounting provides relevant financial and market data, including financial reports, taxation and risk management, finance operates these data and generates appropriate investment strategies. Having decided to pursue financial management as my career objective, I look forward to sharpen my intellectual caliber, that is, to understand the essence of finance and to develop fundamental management skills. Thus, I chose to study accounting in the university and planned to study Global Finance in graduate school at Fordham University. To make my career plan more manageable as well as more rewarding, I set my short-term goal as to study at a top graduate school and gain transferable knowledge and professional experience. I planned to start my career as a client manager in a commercial bank. Short-term goals may encourage short-term thinking, so meantime I have set a long-term goal for five to ten years, which is gaining experience outside my home country, such as Australia or Korea, where I can learn to deal with different economic, cultural, and political environments — which later would help me evaluate business more comprehensively or start my own company. To achieve these goals, I worked diligently during my undergraduate study at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law to achieve a Bachelor’s degree of Management in Accounting within three years. Finishing my accounting study with immense enthusiasm and diligence resulted in my receipt of the 3rd prize of People's Scholarship for two years. I then qualified as a summer student at Yale University in 2013, where I documented a research essay on Aging China, which contained a market survey on the investment of nursing homes in Beijing. This research was awarded with an outstanding mark, while I established a solid foundation in accounting and acquired the fundamental knowledge in finance.Guided by the insights of my father, who is a successful director in Bank of Communications, I realized that a competitive staff in finance field requires the development of communication proficiency and problem-solving skills. Thus, during my undergraduate study, I actively involved in several student organizations. As the Vice-president of the Volunteer Institution at ZNUEL, I gained substantial leadership skills and teamwork experiences by coordinating events with over 50 to 300 participants, such as the Chinese Football League. Furthermore, I developed my communication and interpersonal skills by hosting numerous important events at my university, such as the welcome party and the graduation ceremony. During the conduct of these various activities, I collaborated with other students to organizecolorful events, interacted with the audience with passion, and sought feedback to further improve our projects. These experiences heightened my confidence and enhanced my determination to utilize my abilities and skills for my future career in marketing. To further enhance my skills in a professional and practical setting, I participated in two internships during my undergraduate study. In spring 2014, I was a portfolio management intern at the Bank of Communications (Henan Branch), during which I was assigned on venture analysis, profit evaluation, and preparing reports on alternative assets. Finally, I developed the skills to accomplish my responsibilities independently. Through this experience, I became accustomed in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Last autumn, I subsequently served as an intern in the Fixed Income Department of HFT Investment Management Company in Shanghai, where I gathered daily macroeconomic information and prepared reports on the Chinese Market for the weekly Asian Telephone Meeting. This experience led to my realization that problem solving requires the courage and innovation to venture on to new approaches or to deliberate necessary corrections. These internships provided me with hands-on experience in credit analysis, client management, and marketing, as well as enhanced my strong interest in finance in particular. Collectively, these professional experiences convinced me that I still require the comprehensive training in finance to establish my career as a client manager in a bank. The MS Program at Fordham University has the ideal environment to nurture my passion and realize my ambition, both for my academic exploration and for my business career development. The curricula are challenging, and I am most interested in the core course Financial Modeling and the five courses of Corporate Finance Track. Furthermore, the open, free, and vibrant academic atmosphere will provide me with a broad platform for development and cooperation among peers and professors with similar interests and related expertise. Given the opportunity for admission, I look forward to utilizing the broad network of the school with professionals, which will allow me to interact with them and gain from their experiences and perspectives.。
