托福TPO50小作文(经过权威托福教师修改过的)

The reading passage brings about three severe problems that prevent human from landing on Mars. However, the professor refutes all these theories by leaving out three pieces of scientific evidence.First, the writer states that because the trip to Mars may last for 2 years which means that we need to carry a sea of food, water and oxygen on the spaceship, which clearly do not have enough capacity for that. Nonetheless, the lecturer points out that people can use the recycled water to plant some vegetarians on the space ship in order to not only supply themselves but also absorb the wasted gases.Second, the writer states that because there’s no gravity in the spaceship, and the time for astronauts to travel is too long, there’s no doubt that these people’s muscles’mass will be decreased and their bone density will lower than before. And these affects are harmful to human to survive on the spaceship. However, the professor challenges this point of view by putting that, some of the astronauts that living in the space station in the earth’s orbit also have to undergo the 0-gravity for several months, but these people are still in good condition. And some exercises and specific medicine can also heal the symptom mentioned above. Finally, the author points out that the space radiation may be sodangerous that astronauts may do not have enough protection when exposed to these radiations. Nevertheless, the professor claims that most of the radiations given off from the sun are not as severe and frequent as we imagine, if we equip the spaceship with a small shield, and when the radiation storm really coming through, all the crewmembers can move into this shelter and survive.。

托福写作高分120 中的综合写作题目Marco PoloThe reading passage says that Marco Polo, a V enetian trader and explorer, had traveled to China. The lecturer states her positive opinions in three ways against the naysayers:Firstly, according to the lecturer, the fact that Marco Polo did not mention any Chinese or Mongolian place-names in his books does not necessarily mean that he did not travel to China at all. It was impossible that Marco had borrowed place-names from Persian, which was a common trade language during his period.Secondly, Marco spent most of his time in northern China while the love for tea was only common in southern China 或in the south of China during his period. So it was understandable that Marco did not mention such cultural practice in his books. Finally, there are other explanations, besides that Marco was never appointed in the Chinese court; also we could not find original records in the materials of Chinese or Mongols. It was possible that Marco was referred to different names in those records, which was common in ancient Chinese records. Or the records could be simply missing. In conclusion, the lecturer states his disagreement with the opinion that Marco Polo had never traveled to China.参考分数:24分文章的框架清晰,结构合理,能够抓住材料的主要观点并对其加以阐述,但语句的表达还是有点生疏,不够娴熟。

托福说明文写作文版Choose one of the following transportation vehicles and explain why you think it has changed people’slives.automobiles bicycles airplanes Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. The most significant invention at the turn of the twentieth century, in my point of view, is the airplane. It has made a positive contribution to the economic development of the world. Meanwhile, it has changed the way people live. There are three basic reasons for my viewpoint and I will further elaborate them in this passage. The first point that es to my mind is that airplanes have tremendously increased people’s efficiency. Despite that more and more people are willing to travel by airplane due to its speed, day-to-day businesses also rely greatly on airplanes for its inparable efficiency. For example, after airplanes were invented, the time to travel between Europe and America had been shortened by more than three times. Businessmen can take an airplane, get to their destination, have their contraction, and e back home injust one day. In today’s epoch when the whole ball game is about efficiency, airplanes certainly have changed the way people are living.Another reason that cannot be ignored is that airplanes have make people’s dreams e true. Human beings had alwayshoped that one day we can fly like a bird. The invention of the airplane helped to achieve our dream. Thanks to the airplane, we can travel around the world in just one or two days. Suddenly, people realize that dreams do e true, as long as we strive for them. At the same time, peoplerealize that we can achieve other dreams, such as getting in contact with life on other plas, as well. In a word, airplane is not only a means of transportation, it also has bee a symbol of achieved dreams. It has greatly influenced the way people think about our fantasies. Moreover, people find it exciting to travel by airplanes. To some extent, airplanes connect various places on the earth together. For example, when I first came to Canada from my home country where the climate is always very hot and snow is very rare, I was astounded by thesight of the snow-covered land. Since then, I have always hoped to take an airplane again and have another unforgettable sight of the beautiful landscape elsewhere. It is the airplane that makes people’s life more enjoyable and exciting. To sum up, the invention of the airplane has maximized people’s efficiency, made human being’s dream e true, and provide people excitement and pleasure. It cannot be denied t hat the airplane had significantly changed people’s life.。

托福说明文写作样例修改意见.doc

托福说明文写作样例修改意见Whether persons would spend their entire lives in one place or not concerns (is a matter of)their life style. Due to differently personal character and experiences, some people like to stay in one place thorough (throughout)their lives, but others in contrast, prefer to move a number of times among different cities. In my view, I would be very happy if I have opportunities to live in different places. The arguments for this propensity are listed as follows. One of the most crucial reasons for my view is that we could (can)have more opportunities to realize our dreams in the process of moving between places. As a young man(young men), we are all eager for suess. However the road to (approach toward)suess is so hard that we have to makegreat efforts. We must possess many aspects, including(去掉) outstanding intelligence, excellent education, rich experience and certainly good luck, most of which are acquired only by insistently pursuing, besides(and)studiously striving in different cities(if necessary).I can take one of my friends for instance. In order(to)receive the best education, after graduating from the senior school, he left his hometown to a remote city, BEIJING. But four years later, to looking for a better job, he left BEIJING and e to SHENZHEN, a beautiful city in his dream. Now his new goal is to enter American B-School toacquire (of)more advanced knowledge in financing. We can see, in just about ten years, he has moves three times, and what is more(more importantly), this moving sill continue. Actually, in contemporary society more and more people are as this(act like him ).Another essential fact why (reason why)I hold my viewis that we can enjoy a more rich and colorful (richer and more colorful)life, as we change places we live in. For my part, enjoying life is as important as, if not more important than, devoting work(hard working). It is a pleasing thing in the holiday to visit beautiful sceneries in different places. My friends mentioned in the last paragraph(before), has visited the snow scene in the north, and the widely (wide)sea in the south.Admittedly, we cannot neglect the virtues (of)spending the entire life in one place. People can attained(attain)the feeling of family to their munity, and the relationships between people are closer. Nevertheless moving between cities perhaps is more attractive to young persons than staying in one place thorough their lives. From all the reasons mentioned above, it is notdifficult to get the conclusion that if it is possible, I would move a number of times throughout my lives to lookfor the best job, house or climate I am eager for.。

The second engine driving agricultural output concerns cultivators' increasing payment of their taxes in cash rather than in kind (that is, in agricultural or other products).(并列上一段,第二点原因是人们更愿意用先进而不是物品来付税) Some historians have asserted that the increasing commitment to market agriculture was a product both of a mounting per capita tax burden and the state's growing preference for tax payments in cash rather than in kind.(递进,对于市场农业的押金一方面是由于单位资 产税的提高,二是国家更喜欢现金) In this view, such government decisions forced cultivators to grow crops for sale in order to pay their taxes. (递进,所以有些国家要求农民种庄稼然后买掉来付税)Thus, state policy is seen as the most important factor influencing the cultivators' shift from subsistence farming to market agriculture.(总结,这样看来,国家政策是导致农民从粮食生 产转变到市场农业的)

What are the important qualities of a good son or daughter?Have these qualities changed or remained the same over time in your culture? Use specific reasons and examples to surport your answer。
There are many good qualities that a good son or daughter should have。
Respect and independence are two of the most important。
These have been true in the past and continue to be the case in the present。
First, a good son or daughter should respect and care for his/her parents。
It is not easy for our parents to bring us up,giving us good education and a comfortable life。
They deserve all of our respect。
There will be times when we have different opinions with our parents。
We should always communicate with them to find a solution to the problem but not losing our temper。
