人们为什么开发海洋资源英语作文

人们为什么开发海洋资源英语作文全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1Why Do People Develop Ocean Resources?Have you ever been to the beach and looked out at the big, blue ocean? The ocean is huge and goes on as far as you can see! It covers most of our planet. Under all that water, there are tons of awesome things that people need and use.People develop ocean resources because the ocean has so many useful things in it that we rely on. Let me tell you about some of the main reasons why we explore and use stuff from the oceans. One big reason is to get food from the ocean. Have you ever eaten fish, shrimp, crabs, or lobster? All of those yummy foods come from the sea! Lots of people around the world depend on seafood as an important part of their diet and to make a living by fishing. But it's not just animals that we get from the ocean. We also harvest tons of plants and other things that grow in the sea, like seaweed, kelp, and algae. These are packed with healthynutrients and vitamins. Some cultures eat them as a regular food, and they can also be used to make products like fertilizers, toothpaste, ice cream, and more!Another major reason to develop ocean resources is to gather materials and minerals from under the seafloor. Things like sand, salt, metals, and even energy sources like oil and natural gas can be found buried deep down there.Did you know that most of the sand used to make concrete for buildings and roads actually comes from the ocean bottom? And we rely heavily on offshore oil rigs to pump oil and natural gas out of the seabed to use for fuel and plastics. Mining the ocean for valuable minerals is becoming more and more important as resources on land get used up.Ocean resources are also incredibly useful for transportation. The majority of world trade happens over the seas, with huge cargo ships carrying goods all around the globe through shipping routes across the oceans. Cruise ships, recreational boating, and underwater exploration also rely on the oceans being open transportation highways. But the ocean provides resources beyond just material things too. The marine environments are incredible habitats for studying plants, animals, and ecosystems. By exploring the ocean, scientists can learn about biology, chemistry, geology, and the history of the Earth itself. Ocean research has led to amazing medical and technological breakthroughs inspired by nature.Coastlines and beaches also draw millions of tourists every year for recreation like swimming, sunbathing, fishing, snorkeling and other beach fun. People love the beauty and relaxation of the ocean, and the related industries of tourism and recreation are huge businesses!Of course, while developing ocean resources is important, we have to be very careful about how we do it and make sure not to damage or pollute the fragile ocean environments. The health of the oceans is crucial for all life on Earth.Overfishing, for example, is a big problem that has driven many species to become endangered or even extinct. And plastic pollution, oil spills, and chemical runoff are poisoning and destroying ocean habitats. We need to develop "blue economies" that use ocean resources in a sustainable way that preserves and protects the marine ecosystems.Scientists, governments, businesses, and all of us need to work together to use the amazing bounty of the oceans responsibly. With care and good management, the ocean'sresources can provide food, jobs, materials, energy, recreation, and environmental benefits for generations to come. The oceans cover most of our planet and are vital to all life. By developing ocean resources carefully, we can enjoy all the ocean has to offer while keeping it healthy and beautiful. What incredible treasures the oceans hold! Taking good care of them is important for everyone.篇2Why Do People Develop Ocean Resources?Have you ever been to the beach and played in the waves? Maybe you've gone swimming in the ocean or seen pictures of coral reefs filled with colorful fish. The ocean is a vast, beautiful place that covers most of our planet. But did you know that people also use the ocean as a resource to get things we need? The main reason people develop ocean resources is to get food. Fishing is one of the oldest ways humans have used the ocean. Millions of people around the world depend on fish as their main source of food and income. Big commercial fishing boats catch huge amounts of fish like tuna, cod, and salmon to sell. Smaller local fishermen catch fish, shrimp, lobsters, and crabs to sell at markets near the coast. In some parts of the world, people even get food by farming fish, shrimp, or oysters in big ocean pens or contained areas near the shore. This is called aquaculture. It provides lots of seafood for people to eat.Another important resource from the ocean is energy. Oil and natural gas get drilled from deep under the ocean floor. These fossil fuels provide energy for things like fueling cars, generating electricity, and heating homes. Many coastal countries rely a lot on offshore oil and gas drilling in the ocean.People are also trying to develop more renewable energy from the ocean itself. The power of wind, waves, and tides can generate clean electricity without polluting the environment. Some places use wind turbines in the ocean to turn wind into energy. Others have machines that harness the energy of crashing waves or strong tides. Ocean energy could be an important power source in the future. In addition to food and energy, the ocean provides lots of other valuable resources. Salt and fresh water are extracted from ocean water through desalination plants. Sand and gravel get dredged up from the ocean floor for construction projects. Medicines and nutritional supplements sometimes come fromocean plants and animals. Jewelry and decorations are made from things like pearls, coral, and shells. Many jobs and industries depend on developing ocean resources too. There are fishermen, fish farmers, offshore oil rig workers, ship crews, marine construction workers, and lots of other careers connected to the sea. Shipping and maritime transportation make it possible to move goods across the ocean in huge cargo vessels. Naval forces patrol and protect the ocean for security. As you can see, people develop and use ocean resources in many important ways for food production, energy supplies, obtaining materials, creating jobs, and more. The ocean covers over 70% of our planet's surface. It's no wonder humans look to it to provide so many essential resources we need. However, developing ocean resources raises some concerns too. Overfishing can damage fish populations if they get depleted faster than they can reproduce. Offshore drilling may cause oil spills that harm ocean life and ecosystems. Pollution from trash, chemicals, and other human impacts also threaten marine environments. That's why it's critical to develop ocean resources carefully and sustainably. Many laws and regulations exist to managefisheries, energy production, shipping, and other ocean activities. Marine protected areas and conservation efforts also aim to safeguard sensitive habitats like coral reefs. As we rely more on the ocean's resources, we must find the right balance between using them productively while still preserving a healthy ocean for the future. The next time you visit the beach, think about all the incredible resources the ocean provides that people depend on every day. From the fish on your plate to the energy that powers your home, the ocean plays a vital role in sustaining human life on this planet we all share. With wisdom and care, we can continue benefiting from its bounty for generations to come.篇3Why Do People Develop Ocean Resources?Hi there! My name is Emily and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to talk to you about the big blue ocean and why grown-ups think it's so important to use the things in it. It's a really cool topic once you understand it!The ocean covers about 70% of the Earth's surface. That means it takes up way more space than the land we live on. And inside this huge body of water, there are tons of amazingresources that people need and use for all sorts of things. Let me tell you about some of the main ones!First up, we have fish! The oceans are absolutely filled with fish of all different sizes, colors, and kinds. People catch these fish to eat, like tuna, salmon, and cod. Fish are a great source of healthy food for people all around the world. My little brother's favorite is fish sticks! But grown-ups take fish very seriously as an important part of our food supply. Then there are other creatures from the sea that we use too, like whales, seals, and shrimp. While some animals like whales are protected now, people have hunted them in the past for their meat, oil, and other body parts. Shrimp is super delicious in dishes like shrimp scampi! Yum!Another huge resource from the oceans is oil and natural gas. Can you believe that? There's actually oil and gas trapped under the seabed on the ocean floor. Big companies use huge rigs and platforms to drill down and pump out this oil and gas, which we use for fuel, plastics, and lots of other things. Wild, right? But it's not just about taking resources out of the ocean. People also use the ocean itself in really fascinating ways. Ships use the ocean to transport goods and materials all over theworld. Cruise ships use it for vacations. Some people even generate energy from the motion of the waves and currents. How cool is that? And let's not forget about all the amazing plants and minerals found in the ocean! Seaweed and kelp are types of algae that people use for all kinds of things like food, fertilizer, and cosmetics. The oceans also have valuable minerals like salt, gold, copper, and zinc that get mined from deep under the water. Mind-blowing, isn't it?I bet you're wondering why people even bother to go through all that trouble to get resources from the ocean, when we have plenty of stuff on land. Well, there are a few key reasons:The resources in the oceans are super abundant. There's a huge supply of things like fish, oil, and minerals out there that we need for our modern lives. It's really hard to find certain resources on land or they are running out, so the oceans provide more sources for those valuable things we require. The oceans haven't been explored and used as much as the land, so there are likely tons more resources there waiting to be discovered! As the human population keeps growing, we need more and more resources to support everyone. The oceans have a lot to offer.Of course, taking resources from the ocean isn't always an easy task. The environments are harsh, the depths are extreme, and there are dangers involved. But people have created amazingly advanced technologies to overcome those challenges — everything from specialized ships and submarines to underwater robots and drilling equipment. Human ingenuity makes it possible! It's also really important that we develop and use ocean resources responsibly. Taking too many fish can damage species. Drilling for oil can pollute the waters. Mining the ocean floor might hurt sea creatures and their homes. We have to be good stewards of the oceans while using what we need from them. There are a lot of rules, regulations, and scientific efforts in place to try to manage and protect the ocean environments as much as possible. Marine biologists, environmentalists, and governing bodies carefully monitor what's happening so we don't go too far. It's all about striking that balance between using resources and preserving the health of this vital part of our planet. So in the end, people develop ocean resources because the oceans contain so many valuable things that we need to live our modern lives — food, energy, materials, transportation, you name it! As our population grows, the oceans will become even more important for supplying those resources. But we have to be really careful about how we use the ocean, so that it stays healthy and full of life for many years to come. It's a big responsibility, but one that people are committed to for the sake of our blue planet.Pretty fascinating stuff, right? Who knew the oceans played such a huge role in supplying the world with resources and enabling so many aspects of our lives? I sure didn't until I learned all about it. The next time you eat some seafood, take a road trip, or turn on a light, you can thank the mighty oceans for helping to make that possible!。

关于自然化肥和人工化肥的英语作文

关于自然化肥和人工化肥的英语作文英文回答:Natural fertilizers, also known as organic fertilizers, are derived from natural sources such as plants, animals, and minerals. They include materials like compost, manure, bone meal, and seaweed. These natural fertilizers provide essential nutrients to the soil and improve its structure, leading to healthier and more productive plants. One of the key advantages of natural fertilizers isthat they are environmentally friendly. They do not contain harmful chemicals that can leach into the soil and water, causing pollution. Additionally, natural fertilizers help to improve soil fertility and promote biodiversity, as they support the growth of beneficial microorganisms and earthworms.Furthermore, natural fertilizers are often more sustainable in the long run. They can be produced on asmaller scale and are renewable, as they are derived from natural sources. This can reduce the reliance on synthetic fertilizers, which are often produced using non-renewable resources and have a higher environmental impact. On the other hand, synthetic fertilizers, also known as chemical or artificial fertilizers, are manufactured through industrial processes. They are composed of concentrated nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. While synthetic fertilizers can provide a quick and concentrated source of nutrients to plants, they also have several drawbacks. One of the main disadvantages of synthetic fertilizers is their potential to harm the environment. When used in excess, synthetic fertilizers can contribute to water and air pollution, as well as soil degradation. The runoff of these chemicals into water bodies can lead to eutrophication, which can have detrimental effects on aquatic ecosystems. In addition, the production of synthetic fertilizersrequires the use of non-renewable resources, such as fossil fuels. This can contribute to greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental impacts associated with resource extraction and manufacturing processes. In conclusion, both natural and synthetic fertilizers have their own advantages and disadvantages. While natural fertilizers are more environmentally friendly and sustainable, synthetic fertilizers can provide a quick source of nutrients to plants. However, it is important to carefully consider the long-term impacts of fertilizer use and strive to find a balance that promotes both plant health and environmental stewardship.中文回答:自然肥料,也称为有机肥料,是从植物、动物和矿物等自然来源中提取的。

In the Channel Islands, such seaweed fertiliser is known as vraic in their dialects of Norman, a word that has also entered Channel Island English, the activity of collecting vraic being termed vraicking. In Scotland, it is used as fertiliser in lazybeds orfeannagan. Falkland Islanders have also been nicknamed "Kelpers" from time to time, from collecting seaweed partly for this purpose.
Several of the 12,000+ varieties of seaweed in the ocean have been shown to be valuable additions to the organic garden and can be abundantly available free for those living near the coast. However, caution should be observed when when collecting seaweed, particularly from areas that are liable to pollution, such as downriver (including estuaries) of industrial activities as seaweed is susceptible to contamination. There are also legal implications relating to gathering seaweed, and concerns about sustainability In terms of soil structure, structure, seaweed does not add a great deal of bulk, but its jelly
like alginate content helps to bind soil crumbs together, and it contains all soil nutrients (0.3% N, 0.1% P, 1.0% K, plus a full range of trace elements)
and amino acids. For those who cannot gather fresh seaweed, it is available commercially in a dried 'meal' form or as a concentrated liquid extract which is active in significantly smaller rates. While 'meal' products are limited to soil applications due to their insolubility, foliar feeding or root zone applications through drip lines are possible with soluble extracts.
Composting
Seaweed, particularly bladderwrack, kelp or laminaria, can be either applied to the soil as a mulch (although it will tend to break down very quickly) or can be added to the compost heap, where it is an excellent activator. A perhaps less serious potential problem with seaweed is its salt content. While it is unlikely to add sufficient seaweed to seriously upset the balances of salt in the soil, it is not not liked by worms, who will not live in it. It can be hosed down before adding to to the soil to reduce the salt content, or left to be desalinated by rainwater. Rinsing seaweed is risky as valuable alginates are potentially lost to runoff.。
