Unit 7 What does he look like?第一课时教案一、教材分析:本课是新目标英语七年级(下)第七单元第一课时(Section A)。

本单元围绕描述人物外貌的话题展开活动。

这一课时着重介绍语言目标What does he look like? He is / has…,让学生学习怎样用英语来描述人的外貌特征,由于该内容接近学生的生活实际,为学生所熟悉,容易引起学生学习兴趣,从而促进学生自主,探究学习,为后面的课时学习打下基础。

二、教学目标:知识目标:1、词汇:名词:hair, height,build,captain,team,bit,joke,形容词: short,curly,straight,high,thin, heavy.2、短语:look like, good一looking,a little bit.3、句型:What does he/she look like? --He/She is tall.What do you look like? --I’m thin.4、语法:What does he/she look like? --He/She is tall.能力目标:通过创设情景,借助多媒体等手段让学生身临其境,采用师生互答、生生互动、对话呈现、短剧表演、语篇表达等形式,来提高学生的语言学习积极性和主动性。

从而培养学生综合运用语言的能力。

情感目标:通过对身边人物的描述,培养学生对父母、亲戚、老师或朋友的喜爱之情,教育学生团结友爱,与朋友融洽相处,培养学生学英语的自信心。

养成良好学习习惯,让学生学会赞美别人。

三、学习策略:注意观察,主动参与,与他人合作,互相帮助,在活动中积极运用所学英语进行表达与交流。

《What does he look like》单元教学设计单元教材整体分析本单元是九年制义务课程标准实验教科书《新目标英语》七年级下册中第七单元,本单元的核心话题是谈论人的外表形象(image),因此‘talking about sb’s image’是教学重点。

通过对本单元的学习,学生能掌握本单元出现的表示人外观的词组及句型。

talking about sb’s image’是教学重点,同时也是教学难点。

通过对本单元的学习,学生能掌握本单元出现的表示人外观的词组及句型,并能运用这些词组及句型描述别人的外表,进而描述自己喜欢的人物,比如美术家和音乐家(Use the language to write your favourite actor or musician)。

谈论人的外观形象是人们日常生活中时常遇到的话题,故学生会热衷于用英语表达此类知识。

因此要充分借助听力材料和补充阅读材料,训练提高学生的听力阅读水平。

在听读的基础上创设语言情景,加强说写能力的训练。

此外,还要充分借用课本插图来扩大学生的写作面,以提高其写作水平。

学生在学习过程当中已熟练掌握了描述某人外表的句型,通过各种形式创设情景,让学生自由演习,并借用媒体来提高学生的学习兴趣。

同时对学生进行情感教育,要求他们多发现别人的优点,学会友好地描述别人的形象。

Unit 7 What does he look like ?(说课稿)各位老师,大家好!今天我说课的内容是人教版七年级英语下册第七单元第 2 课时。

本课是口语训练课,它是在第一课时的基础上对知识的进一步扩展和延伸。

下面我将从几个方面来阐述一下我的说课内容。

一.说教材1、教材分析本课我以“Physical apperance”为话题,以“Describe people’looks”为功能项目,展开话题,并以此为依托,在目标语言“What does she/he look like ? She/he has long hair”中学会描述人物的外貌特征。

我借助于“任务型教学”,将听、说、读、写、练等融为一体,激发学生学习英语的兴趣和愿望。

通过合作学习,使学生体验集体荣誉感和成就感,从而树立自信心,发展自主学习的能力,进一步培养学生用英语进行交际的能力。

2.学情分析知识基础:大部分学生具备了初步用英语交际的能力,但1/4学生对任务的完成仍有一定的难度。

思维能力:七年级学生有较强的记忆力和模仿能力,有待培养学生的知识扩展和运用的能力。

据上述分析,结合新课程标准提出的基础教育阶段英语课程的总体目标和具体要求,我将本课的学习目标设计为:1.知识目标:①复习上节课的单词,掌握一个新词always.②目标语言:Grammar focus .③掌握“be +adj ,have +n. ”的用法。

2.能力目标:培养学生用英语进行交际的能力,从而提高听、说、读、写及知识自学的综合能力。

3.情感目标:激发学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生获得成就感,增强自信心。

通过合作学习,培养学生的合作意识和探究精神。

依据课程标准的要求及本课在教材中所处的地位及作用,我将本课的教学重点设计为:①词汇。

②目标语言。

教学难点设计为:“be+adj ,have+n.”的用法。

我主要通过感知新教材---归纳---灵活运用等方式来突破教材的重难点的。

I、教学分析
1、教学内容
本单元—(Go for it七年级下unit 7)以Physical appearance为话题,旨在通过单元教学使学生掌握一些描述人物外表的新词汇;学会询问并描述人的基本外貌特征;并继续学习一般现在时的用法。

2、教材分析
将Section A中1a,1b,1c部分设计为一节“听说课”,时间为40分钟。

Section A 1 a—1 c共设计了3个任务型活动。

1a要求学生读图后将所给描述人物外表的词汇与相应图片配对;学习这些常用的描述人物外貌特征的词汇,为下面的训练,提供语言材料;1b要求学生听录音并根据所获信息,将描述Amy’s friend外表的词汇填在相应的横线上;1c要求学生在教师指导下,以pair work的形式口头练习“询问及描述人物外表”的句型。

3、教学目标
1)知识目标:A、学习有关描述人物外貌的词汇“hair, curly, straight, tall, medium, height, thin, heavy, build”。

B、熟练掌握谈论人物身高、体重、发型等句型,What does your friend look like? She is of medium build ,and she has long hair.
2)能力目标
Enable the students to listen to descriptions about people’s looks and talk about them.
3)情感目标。

通过本课学习,培养学生的正确审美观,并通过实践让学生体验学习英语的乐趣。

4、教学重点
A、掌握描写人物外貌的词汇和基本句型。

II、教学设计
1、总体思路
本课采用任务型教学法,同时借助多媒体辅助教学,通过设计竞猜、调查、对话等多项小组活动,增添课堂教学的趣味性和互动性,使学生始终保持浓厚的学习兴趣,培养学生的参与意识和实践能力。

2、教学过程
Step One: Leading—in
T:Hello,children! Did you have a nice weekend?
Ss:Yes ... / No ...
T:I was very happy because I had a good time with my new friends Last weekend. You know I made many new friends in No.1 Middle School. They are friendly to me. Do you know what they look like?
Ss: No.
T: Look! These are my friends’photos. Let’s meet them one by one.

Step Two: New words
1、Present new words
T: Look at this girl, she is Yang Yang , she is tall, she has long, straight hair. But I am short and have long, curly hair. (Teach thin, heavy, medium height and medium build in the same way)

Please remember them and describe them like this: curly hair, short, tall... Clear?

Step Three: New drills
1、Listening practice
I have a good friend Amy. Now she comes to the station to meet her friend. But there are so many people. She can’t find her friend. Can you help her? Please listen and fill in the blank s in the picture and find Amy’s friend.

2、Work in groups (Guess who he/she is )
T:Now I’ll divide you into groups of six, each group should choose one student to be a model, then the students in the group use one sentence to describe him or her(including the model himself). Other groups guess who they are describing . The group which can get more right guesses is the winner.
Maybe these sentences can help you :
(1)What does he or she look like?
(2) He is/has...
(3) She is/has...

3、Make a survey
