12、理赔函(Letters of Claim Settlement)
（1）:To compensate you for your loss, we agree to allow you a reduction of 15％ off the total invoice value. 译文:为了弥补贵方损失，我们同意从总发票金额中扣 除15％。
（3）:We are sure the goods will reach you in good order and give you full satisfaction. 译文:我们确信货物将安然抵达，令贵方完全满意。
10.保险函(Letter of Insurance)
（1）:We'd like to cover the consignment against All Risks from our warehouse to the port of Amsterdam. 译文:我方愿为该批寄售货物投保人从我方仓库至 阿姆斯特丹的全险。 （2）:We should like to know if you can undertake insurance of these goods Against All Risk(A.R.) 译文: 请告知，贵公司可否承办这批的全险。
7、付款函
（1）In view of the amount of this transaction being small , we are prepared to accept payment by D/P at sight(or at 60 days' sight ) for the value of the goods shipped. 译文: 鉴于此笔交易金额很小，我们准备同意以即期 ( 或见票 后60天后)付款交单方式支付货款。 （2）please open the L/C 15 to 20days before the date of delivery, and it should be valid until the 15th day after shipment so that we can get all the shipping documents ready for presentation and negotiation. 译文:请用信用证付款，由贵族在交货前15天到20天期间开出， 其有效期到货物装船后15天截止，以便我方准备好所有的装 运单据提交银行议付。

英文反说正译——形容词
1. He was in an uncomfortable situation. 正译：他陷入困窘的境地。
2. Please cut out unnecessary words. 正译：请删去多余的词。
英文正说反译——连词
He left the hotel before the police came. 反译：警察还没来，他就离开了酒店。 类似的连词还有rather than（宁可。。。也不愿）， unless（如果不。。。），or（要不然）等等。
Leave me alone 正说：让我一个人呆着。 反译：别来烦我。
I can’t agree with you more. 反说：我不能同意你更多。 正译：我完全同意你。
把门关上 正说：Close the door. 反译：Don’t leave the door open.
请勿踩踏草坪 反说：Don’t step on the grass. 正译：Keep off the grass.
2. I know that this is a bad time to ask for help. 反译：我知道在这时候要求帮助不合适。
英文正说反译——形容词
类 似 的 形 容 词 还 有 ignorant （ 无 知 的 ） ， weak（不强大的）, ill（不健康的）, the last（最 不可能的）， short of（不足的）等等。
英文反说正译——动词
1. Unlock the door and let fresh air in 正译：打开门，让新鲜空气进来。
2. The idea of winning the game never deserted him. 正译：他一直以来都想赢得比赛。

第二单元公示语翻译1. 指示性公示语（Directive Public Signs）急救（First Aid）、旅游服务（Travel Service）、售票处（Ticket Office）等。
2. 提示性公示语（Informatory Public Signs）油漆未干（Wet Paint）、此货暂缺（Out of Stock）、正在维修（Under Repair）、保留车位（Reserved）等。
3. 警示性公示语（Cautionary Public Signs）小心轻放（Handle With Care）、小心地滑（Caution! Wet Floor！）、前方有学校（School Ahead）、当心滚石（Falling Rocks）等。
4. 限制性公示语（Restrictive Public Signs）残疾人设施（Disabled Only）、限高3米（Restricted Height 3M）、限速60—80公里（Speed Limit 80 Minimum 60 kilometers）等。
5. 强制性公示语（Mandatory Public Signs）禁止摆卖（Vendors Prohibited）、严禁超车（Overtaking Prohibited）、禁扔废弃物（No Littering）等。

2. 顾客来询价。他要求最大的折扣。 The customer made an inquiry, asking for the largest discount. 3. 我们应该不断学习新知识，不然会跟不上时代的。 We should keep learning new knowledge not to lag behind the times.
副词分译
1. I tried vainly to put the pieces together. 我想把这些碎片拼在一起，可是拼不起来。 2.The photograph is unfortunately not good enough to reproduce. 照片不够清晰，无法复制，这太遗憾了。
分译法与合译法
中英句子结构上存在着巨大差异，为了表达通顺地道，或 加以强调，翻译有时候需要把句子中的分句、短语甚至单词单 独提取出来，翻译为短句或独立的句子。这样的翻译方法称为 分译法。
分译法常用于英译中，这是因为英语重形合，句子结构 紧密，逻辑关系明确，包含后置定语及复合句的长句较多；而 中文重意合，句子结构较松散，通过句意表明逻辑关系，短句 较多。分译法分的成分包括单词、短语和句子。

不管是口语表达还是书面表达，也不管是英语表达还是汉语 表达，商务语言都应遵循 3“c”的原则， 清楚（clearness） 简洁（conciseness） 礼貌（courtesy） 西方商界普遍认同的“CBS”话语风， 清晰（clarity） 扼要（brevity） 真实（sincerity）

我还冒昧地附上一张付款时间表, 供您参考和记录 . 这里用“have taken the liberty”显示出写信人运用谦卑 的语言来降低自己或抬高对方的身价, 使收信人和自己的差异得 以显露, 从而体现出写信人对收信人的尊重。
三、礼貌性
商务交往是一种特殊的交际模式，它要求交际者在利益上尽可 能多地争取，而在情感上要尽可能多地付出。为此，商务语言 必须要遵循礼貌性原则，以便缩短情感距离，增强合作诚意。
1.礼貌用词，以情感人，是礼貌原则最基本的要求,这主要表现 在商务信函中。
