同时，这也有利于中国学生更好地进行跨文化交际。
一、背景随着经济的发展，越来越多的中国学生选择去国外留学，美国就是其中之一他们所向往的地方。
但是，由于中美两国文化习俗的差异，赴美留学的学生不仅要面临语言障碍，还得了解和适应当地的文化，从而顺利地完成自己的学业。
本文从跨文化的视角来解析这部电视剧中的中美文化的差异，主要从以下几个方面：1.小费文化；2.家庭寄宿文化；3.顺风车文化；4.朋友模式文化。
通过对比分析中美文化的差异，让中国学生意识到，他们不仅要学习英语的听说读写的基本技能，还要了解有关英语国家的社会与文化，以便更有效地进行跨文化交际。
二、中美文化差异由于中美两国的经济制度、地理环境、宗教信仰和民族性格的不同，最终导致两国的文化差异。
本文主要从以下四个方面来分析中美文化的差异：(一)小费文化小费是美国文化中比较重要的一个部分，也是从事服务行业人员的主要收入来源。
根据联邦法律，全美没有小费的员工的最低工资是每小时7.25美元，而有小费的员工只有2.13美元。
那么也就是说2.13美元的最低工资意味着他们的全部工资将被用来交税，并迫使餐馆服务员靠自己的小费生活。

在经济一体化浪潮席卷全球的今天，中国的一些电视潮流和节目形式纷纷借鉴和仿效美国，一批“真人秀”节目改造成中国本土的娱乐节目，悄然走进了中国的千家万户。
不管你是有意识还是无意识，“真人秀”节目都已或多或少地影响着中国社会尤其是年轻一代的价值观判断，这是一个不容争辩的事实。
一、电视节目与价值观的关系1.媒体倡导什么样的态度、观念，将改变、塑造大众的价值观我们正处在一个信息爆炸的时代，媒体的力量正在发生着巨大而深刻的变化，除了传统的报纸杂志、广播电视，还有网络、手机，包括现在正在兴起的分众媒体，如楼宇电视、公交电视等，都在传播着纷繁复杂的种种信息。
随着传播介质越来越多，媒体的影响力无处不在。
通过媒体影响大众舆论，进而影响和改变大众的价值观，媒体在其中的作用日益凸显。
有数据表明，4到14岁的儿童每天平均接触电视的时间为2.22小时［1］。
照这样计算，从幼儿园到中学毕业的15年时间里，孩子接触电视的时间长达1万多小时，远远超过他们学习的任何一门课程的时间。
现在年轻一代之所以常常有“惊人之举”，说出一些让大人惊诧的话，都源于各类媒体的导向，媒体传播的内容直接影响着年轻一代的思维方式和行为判断。
可以说，媒体的影响力就是一种价值观的导向，媒体持什么样的态度报道事物，实质上就是在传播什么样的价值观。

从长远计,我国电视对外传播应该在目标和策略上都重视对华裔第二代的传播。
例如,美国华人移民人数在2000年的时候将近300万人(包括45万混血儿),其中,约有五分之一为美国本土出生的第二代。
根据美国2000年的人口普查数字,美国土生华人中,0至17岁的占44%,18至24岁的占10%,25岁以上的占不到一半。
华裔第二代出生或成长在美国,受当地社会、文化等影响,传媒的使用习惯和需求大多与父辈不同。
目前,我国大陆和台湾的电视机构都十分注重对海外华人的传播,台湾主要电视媒体几乎都成立了面向海外华人的频道,如东森美洲卫视、中天国际台等;大陆中央和许多省级卫视也创办了国际频道,例如央视国际频道、湖南卫视国际频道、江苏国际频道等。
两地的国际频道在目标、策略和风格等等方面存在一定的差异,尤其在针对海外华裔第二代受众的传播目标设立和策略方面。
不久前,笔者有幸在上海与东森电视新闻事业部副总经理张玉玲就此问题做长时间访谈,收获良多。
台湾东森美洲卫视对于海外华裔第二代传播非常重视,在这方面也做了很多有益的尝试,值得大陆媒体参考和借鉴。
海外华裔第二代受众的特征语言特征华裔第二代为了适应当地社会的需要,或者被主流文化吸引的原因,他们中相当多的人倾向于使用当地语言;有些人甚至羞于或耻于使用祖籍国的语言:“过去,那些在美国生活的移民的子女,恳请父母在公众场合不要说自己的本国语言,也不要穿令人好奇的本民族服装,以免使他们当众感到羞辱。
”而且,由于家庭和社会教育条件的限制,很多人没有条件系统学习中文。
语言一旦没有学习的条件,也缺乏使用的环境,自然就会退化;语言是生活方式的一部分:“当我和你谈话时,我用英语想,也用英语说。
我的生活和处世方式已受到美国习惯的支配,我虽然知道我是华人,但总觉得自己是美国人。

比起早期华人移民，我们这一代移民有了越来越强烈的自我意识，抗争意识，和维权意识。
其实，无论在哪个社会，人要想活得有尊严，都必须依靠自我觉醒，自我奋斗，和与之相对应的自我维权才能实现，在美国尤其如此。
谈到种族歧视和相应的移民维权问题，可圈可点的的确很多。
这里，我只想就移民心态的问题谈一点自己的看法和体会。
移民心态的特征之一 ---- 文化失落感在美国这个移民国家里，哪一个移民没有一段辛酸奋斗的故事呢？人们从各自的奋斗史中所感悟的会千差万别，但其中也不乏共性的东西。
我认识的萍姐来美国已经有快二十年了，和我聊起来她自己这些年来在异国他乡摸爬滚打的亲身经历，最令她感动的不是别的，而是她的一位美国上司对中国文化的认同和欣赏。
她的这位老上司，不仅喜欢看中国电影戏剧和小说，喜欢吃中国饭，还不止一次地到中国观光旅游，亲身感受中国文化的浓郁氛围。
她对于中国文化的喜爱和痴迷的程度，真可以称得上是位中国迷。
当然这样的美国人并不多见，有如此强烈中国情结的老美，很多也是由于各种各样的客观原因造成的，比如家人和中国人的联姻，或是有到中国工作学习生活的经历等等。
所以，他们对中国文化有认同感，他们对中国人也就没有陌生感。
其实我自己也有类似的感受，当一个美国人对中国文化表现出极大的兴致和热情时，总会情不自禁地引起我内心的欣喜。
是啊，谁不希望别人尊重、欣赏和喜爱自己民族的文化、传统、以及所有打上文化烙印的那些东西呢？尤其是当你属于这个社会中少数民族中的一员，那种渴望文化被认同的感觉就愈发强烈。
一旦因文化背景不同而遭遇到不理解、冷遇、甚至是歧视时，内心自然而然地就会产生深深的失落感。
我把这叫作文化失落感。
据我观察，在美国这个移民大家庭里，并不是只有中国人怀有文化失落感，其他族裔的人也同样会有类似的感觉。

从“五月花号”带来的首批移民以及《五月花号公约》为美国政治文化奠定了基石到南北战争结束后，美国由于大规模的工业化和城市化的急速发展，需要引进大量劳力，从而使母语为非英语的大量欧洲移民涌入。
1961-1984年间，美国通过了移民和归化法，移民政策的宽松带来了以亚洲、拉丁美洲移民占主导的热潮。
回顾历史，可以发现美国移民可分为如上所述的三个阶段，时至今日，美国每年仍然不断的接受着新移民，这些来自世界不同区域的移民构成了美国人口的主体，并逐步改变着美国人口的种族、民族构成比率，为美国传统文化注入新鲜血液，随着时间推移，逐步形成了美国特有的移民文化。
2 美国移民文化的特点之多元化移民的地域性决定了美国文化的多元化。
地域的差异便衍生出了不同的民族多样的习俗。
这些多样化的因素又在不同时代对美国文化的发展产生影响，甚至被应用和更新。
因此，在美国文化的不同方面都可以找到这些来自不同地域多样因素的缩影。
首先，美国移民文化的多元化体现在语言上。
语言是文化的载体与缩影。
美国英语中丰富的外来词汇是美国移民文化中多元化的充分体现。
这些外来词汇来自世界各地，包涵多种语系，有的甚至被沿用至今。
例如，来源于法语résumé（简历），changier（即：change，改变）；来源于拉丁语cuppa（cup，杯子），cetel（即：kettle，壶）；来源于西班牙语puma（美洲豹），cigar（雪茄烟）；来源于汉语kowtow （磕头），qipao（旗袍）等等。

美国移民史中的多元文化与社会融合美国是一个移民国家，其形成和发展过程中多元文化和社会融合起着重要的作用。
在美国的移民史中，文化的多样性和社会的融合相互交织，共同塑造了美国的社会面貌。
首先，美国的多元文化是移民潮带来的结果。
从殖民时期开始，就有来自各个国家的人们来到美国寻求自由和机遇。
随着时间的推移，美国吸引了来自欧洲、亚洲、非洲和拉丁美洲等地的移民。
这些移民携带着自己的文化、宗教和语言等特征来到美国，使美国的文化变得丰富多彩。
他们的到来不仅丰富了美国的文化底蕴，也孕育了许多创新和进步。
然而，多元文化并不意味着各个族群同化或者文化冲突。
相反，美国历史上一直强调社会融合和文化包容。
美国政府致力于建设一个包容多元的社会，鼓励各种文化相互交流和融合。
美国的公立学校教育系统就是一个很好的例子。
在公立学校中，不同背景的学生可以在同一个课堂上学习和交流，这使得他们能够相互了解和尊重彼此的文化差异。
此外，美国还有许多移民友好的机构和组织，如移民协会、宗教团体等，他们为新移民提供帮助和支持，帮助他们更好地适应美国社会。
值得一提的是，移民对于美国的社会进步和经济发展起到了重要的推动作用。
移民带来了新的思想、技能和创意，在各个领域产生了巨大影响。
许多著名的科学家、文学家、艺术家和企业家都是移民或者二代移民。
他们的贡献为美国社会的发展做出了巨大贡献。
正是因为移民的多元背景和不同的视角，美国社会得以不断进步和创新。
当然，多元文化和社会融合也面临一些挑战和问题。
不同文化之间的摩擦和冲突是不可避免的。
在美国的一些城市中，种族歧视和文化隔离依然存在，这严重影响了多元文化的发展和社会的融合。
然而，美国社会已经作出了努力来解决这些问题。
推动社会正义和平等成为了美国社会的共同目标，各种组织和机构都在努力纠正不平等现象，实现更广泛的包容和公正。
总之，美国移民史中的多元文化和社会融合是一个不断演变和发展的过程。
移民的到来丰富了美国的文化底蕴，推动了社会的进步。
剖析美国移民文化
剖析美国移民文化有人说美国是一口熔炉，意指从它的一侧进来不同的原料，经过炉子的冶炼、高温、搅合，从炉子的另一侧出来的是质量同一的产品。
也有人说美国是一盘色拉，不同的原料，经过这个大盘子搅拌后，出来的是混合在一起的原料。
与它搅拌之前不同的只是它们原来做为单一材料进入盘子的，现在被混杂在一起了，又被浇上了同样的汁儿。
这个汁儿就是美国的宪法和美国的社会制度。
而汁下面，还是其本来面目。
白种人将成为少数？美国500年前的原住居民，包括印第安人和爱斯基摩人目前只有250多万人，连美国人口的1%都占不到。
移民占美国人口的99%，根据2002年公布的全美人口普查资料显示，美国共有人口2.8亿。
从宗教信仰上看，信仰人数最多的是基督教新教，其次是天主教、犹太教和东正教。
伊斯兰教在美国只有550万人，占总人口不到2%。
但伊斯兰教有稳定增加的趋势，教徒中有1/3是黑人，有人甚至预测21世纪伊斯兰教将成为美国第二大教，仅次于基督教。
从肤色上看，白人仍占优势，但比例在减少。
10多年前的美国80%多的人口是欧洲移民的白人后裔。
21世纪初时，白人人口退居到只占75%，来自非洲的黑人有3400多万人，占全美人口的12%。
黑人在21世纪以前一直是美国最大的少数族裔。
来自亚洲的移民有1000万人，虽然只占3.6%，但是增长很快。
新的调查显示增长最快的是褐色皮肤讲西班牙语的移民，也是美国人口最多的少数族裔，首次超过了非洲移民，有3500万人，占美国人口的12.5%。
西班牙语籍和非洲移民已经占据了美国人口的近25%，在青年人口的比例中高居33%。
他们增长的速度还在加快。
再加上亚洲移民人口的增长，分析家们认为，30年后，白种人将沦为少数族裔！从聚居地上看，以西语籍、非洲籍和亚裔组成的少数族裔倾向于住在大城市里。
在全国100座大城市人口中，1990年有70个城市白人占多数。
10年后，白人占多数的城市降为52个。
像在拉斯维加斯和凤凰城等快速成长的城市中、非洲裔增长速度为23%，亚洲裔69%，西语籍则高达72%，而白人仅增长5%。

从综艺节目看美国移民文化的特征
美国移民文化的内涵包括很多方面，其中的包容性是造就今日的美国不可缺少的因素之一。
文章以美国王牌选秀节目“美国偶像”这一综艺节目为切入点，回顾美国移民的历史以及美国移民文化的主要特点，试图在分析美国移民文化包容性具体体现的基础上，进一步探讨美国移民文化的内涵。

1 如何成为“大熔炉”：美国移民的三次浪潮
从历史的角度看，美国文化的发展与汹涌的移民热潮密切相关。
从“五月花号”带来的首批移民以及《五月花号公约》为美国政治文化奠定了基石到南北战争结束后，美国由于大规模的工业化和城市化的急速发展，需要引进大量劳力，从而使母语为非英语的大量欧洲移民涌入。

另外，美国移民文化的多元化在美国饮食文化中也有所体现。
试图找出美国菜的典型代表并非像中国人的饺子、日本人的寿司、意大利人的千层饼、墨西哥人的粟米脆饼那样轻松。
究竟什么是美国菜呢？在美国饮食文化中，美国菜的主要样式大部分为舶来品，随处可见世界各种菜系，从美国人民饮食的选择和餐饮业涉及的菜系种类不难体会到美国饮食文化中的多元化。
最后，并非单一的美国宗教也反映了美国文化的多元。
美国包容民主的宗教环境吸引了来自世界各地的宗教派别。
例如，罗马天主教、新教、伊斯兰教、犹太教、东正教。
以及以亚洲信徒为多数的佛教、以印度信徒为多数的印度教等。
宗教是文化的精华，文化是宗教的传播形式，宗教的多元化为美国文化多元性提供了包容的环境，成为了其良好的繁衍地。
3 从美国的综艺节目看美国移民文化的包容性
美国的娱乐产业高度发展，国人熟知的大银幕词汇脱口即出：好莱坞，迪士尼，奥斯卡，美国大片，综艺帝国，王牌制作等等。
随着国际化的发展，各国文化的不断交流与冲击，特别是2012年“中国好声音”在中国引起的巨大反响，使国人逐渐将视野走出国门，通过美国综艺节目“美国好声音”在中国的授权举办更加了解了美国娱乐业。
从美国综艺节目的发展来看，总体的特点在于节目门类多，观众参与广，奖励丰厚，制作精良，不断推陈出新。
其中门类多包括T台上的的“超级模特”，培养天才设计师的“天桥风云”，为各地餐饮行业提供优秀厨师的“地狱厨房”，人体探险类“幸存者”，歌舞类“天生舞者”、“舞魅天下”、“美国偶像”。
其中，“美国偶像”可称之为王牌选秀节目。
“美国偶像”开播于2002年，其前身为英国综艺节目“流行偶像”。
该节目从2002年开播至今已有12季，可谓长盛不衰。
参赛选手必须符合当季的年龄要求，并为合法的美国公民，这一低门槛为有梦想的人创造了机会，而从节目中脱颖而出的优秀歌者有许多都在赛前从事普通工作的经历，例如酒店侍应生，售货员，卡车司机等，此综艺节目在美国能够受到广大人民的欢迎很大程度在于圆了一个“平民的美国梦”。
从赛制上看，结构合理，从初选到半决赛到决赛中间仍穿插各种细节赛程，以及对于内容的把握恰到好处，例如围绕主题选歌，场外导师指导等环节更突出了美国梦中“成长”这一关键词的含义。
节目开辟了观众参与节目的先河，启动手机短信投票民众参与的方式，这不仅提高节目与观众的互动程度，而且也更加直观的体现潜在的唱片市场的真实反映，因此通过该节目所选拔出的歌者既是市场的选择也是民众的选择，这一做法也为后来的诸多真人秀争相效仿。
回顾美国偶像历届比赛实况，尤以2009年第八季最为突出。
选手们经过层层选拔，从最初的千军万马过海选再到适者生存的好莱坞周再到半决赛决赛。
选手们经历了迅速的成长，冠军最终由Kris Allen摘取。
进入前十强选手分别为：Kris Allen，Adam Lambert，Danny Gokey，Allison Iraheta，Matt Giraud，Anoop Desai，Lil Rounds，Scott MacIntyre，Megan Joy Corkrey，Michael Sarver.这十强选手的组成，淋漓尽致的体现了美国移民文化的包容性。
从各自身份来看，其中包括普通员工，歌剧演员，音乐教师，酒店侍应生，家庭主妇，单身母亲，高中学生，其中Scott MacIntyre还是一名盲人。
并不同于一般歌唱选秀类节目参赛者的职业均与演艺远近有关，参赛者站在同一起跑线，
并不因为职业的不同而有所歧视。
这就是美国特有的移民文化中的包容性，只要有天赋，只要爱唱歌，这篇舞台即属于你。
从各自擅长的领域来看，包括民谣歌手，爵士歌手，弹唱歌手，摇滚歌手，创作型歌手。
选手们各有千秋，在各自擅长的领域上大放异彩，充分的享受了比赛的过程，沉浸其中，投入其中。
节目的主旋律是包容的开放的，并不会暗示更不会引导观众倾向那一种风格，艺术是文化的一种表现形式，只有包容的文化内涵才能造就出宽松舒适的舞台。
从选手的种族肤色来看，包括美国白人，美国黑人，印度裔美国人等等。
由此可见，早期移民的后代以完全融入美国文化中，并且逐步增加着美国人口结构的多样性。
不同种族，不同肤色的人们可以和谐相处，这充分体现了美国移民文化的包容性。
艺术是文化的表现形式，文化的内涵与特征是艺术创作的灵感。
美国综艺是人民娱乐这一大众艺术的体现，它体现了美国移民文化的包容性，同时包容性也为艺术的上升提供了广阔自由的空间。
4 结语
美国是一个年轻的国家，历史虽短暂，但却拥有内涵丰富的独特文化。
随着时代脚步的前进，美国文化中所显现出的深度与潜力被越来越多的人重视并开始借鉴学习。
如何将美国移民文化中的特点加工使用，这是今后我们需要重视并努力的一个方向。
