Love not in wordsI’m really impressed by this movie, not only for its scenes which are all like paintings, but also the love in this whole family, especially between Norman and Paul. Of course, Norman and Paul are brothers. However, they have distinct personalities. Norman takes his father as an example, and engages in literary studies, then later become a university professor. He, like most of us, dedicates to labor and works very hard to win. Norman generally does not like taking risks, thus having a safe and prosperous life. On the contrary, Paul, who becomes a reporter later, is rebellious by nature. He is fond of fly-fishing and of great gift in it. (A wonderful summary of the story! Y ou can write so well.)What impresses me most is the scene where brothers went sailing in turbulent rivers. When the boat fell from the waterfall, everyone's heart hanged in the air. Fortunately, the two men were alright, but the boat had become pieces. While Paul cheered, Norman was scared and out of soul yet, which revealed the differences of personality between them. When they got home, they bit each other, which was the only fighting in their life. In fact, Norman was not in favor of his brother's behavior but also unwilling to stop the enthusiasm in Paul’s heart. That’s why he tolerated his brother and hoped he could always be happy, as it also can be seen in the scene where Norman brought Paul back from the prison. They sat in the car, Norman not saying anything that showed his anger or balminessbut just asking if he could help. In my view, this very different behavior indicates the love of Norman to his brother. (Your analysis of Norman’s true feeling about Paul is equally good!)At most of the time, the brothers were very intimate. They got along each other just like friends. After several years, when two lived different lives, what bond them together was still the same piece of river and the fly-fishing. And sometimes they would go fishing together and always enjoyed themselves. Although their characters are completely different, two people respect, understand and help each other. Maybe, in both their hearts, to Norman or to Paul, each other does not just mean the “relative”. Their loves to each other are not in words.To my surprise, Paul, at last, paid his life for being cynical(I don’t think this should be the word to describe Paul! Norman doesn’t think Paul is cynical.) while Norman was so successful that he was invited to be a professor in a famous university. How theatrical! When Norman brought the news of Paul’s death, both their parents were very calm. There were not many words between them and maybe they all knew each other’s feelings. Frankly speaking, Dad knew Paul very much. But he d idn’t give any orders or instructions to his son for he didn’t want to bound or constraint, as he said that sometimes we really wanted to help someone, but we didn’t know how or whether it was what they wished to get. May be this is also why Norman did not ask too much or request hisbrother too much. When other people were all away, Norman still stood along by that large river, still playing 4 / 4 beat, still fly-fishing, still looking far. That large river had run through numerous rocks, likewise, Norman had lived through many years. He stood there, meticulously collecting the pieces of his brother-Paul’s life, putting all his love for his brother into that river, leaving us with precious meditation. Norman wanted to go inside Paul’s world, but in vain; Norman wanted to keep away from the spiritual strength of his brother, but he could not or reluctant or that’s indeed unavoidable. A river runs through itTo be frank, I have never interested in a literary film or the kind of biography film before. For this one of my personal tastes, I didn’t even pay too much attention to the movie “A river runs through it” at my first sight of the name. But when I watched the movie again in details, I was haunted by the beautiful scenery when the brothers are fly-fishing together in the imposing setting of the Big Blackfoot River, with the surface rippled and sparkled. Just allow me to quote an impressive saying from this movie: It is those we lived with and should know who elude us, but we can still love them, we can love completely, without complete understanding. Maybe the same is true the time when I give the movie just some deep view.It is typical kind of biography movie adapt from the biography of a professor of British literature in Chicago University and his name is Norman Maclean. An every Christine family, father as the minister in their town, regarding religion and the fly-fishing two most important things in their life. I know little about the religion, but I can still tell the very meaning of the film. Norman and his younger brother, Paul, though they born and grow in the same family, similar circumstance, The innate traits of the two brothers differs, The big brother, Norman Maclean, who went to study at a top university of Dartmouth, was much more a conformist than his brother, Paul Maclean, who become a reporter and become addicted to gambling which lead himself to a path no way out. Pau l’s innate of loving adventure and new stuffs become visible at his childhood, he wanted to be a profession fly-fishing man when the brothers are talking about their dreams at a beautiful day. Since then on, Paul’s pursuit of adventure and new life never vanished. He has created his own rhythm in fly-fishing, he is a genius in fly-fishing. He advised his companions to go row boating one day, for the purpose to “go down in history and get their photographs in the paper. Deep into the night, they borrowed a rowboat from old man Serfert and shoot the chutes. For their innate traits and some other reasons, finally, only the Macleans brother go row boating, they damaged the rowboat and got wet through. As a consequence, they received punish from the father. The case directly led to their onlyfight with each other, and from then on, they got to know their difference but they can still love each other deeply. How can you say it is not an axiom that we can love a person completely without complete understanding? I guess it were the innate traits of being different that deep-seated inside his mind that omen Paul’s fate: An artist in fly-fishing, but deeply wallowed in gambling. Personally, he has fulfilled the dream in his youth: A professional fly-fishing man. “He is beautiful.” Just as what the fathe r said after his death. Beside, exclude his good-looking face, the wonderful performance of Bred Pitt is really prefect.As for the big brother, Norman Maclean, he is much more traditional compared with his brother, he is more conservative and cautious. And as the very satisfactory result goes, he attained his love, family, and career. Everything in his life seems to be good but a little plain. I am not a judge or a jury, I can’t tell if Norman is good or not compared with his brother. But one thing is clear, he led his own way of life, a path that is totally different from his brother’s, a road seems to be wonderful but a little plain. The last scene I will forget is their last time fly-fishing together, just days before Paul’s death. At the first times I watch the movie, I found it nothing special, but when I give another overview to this film now and give the movie a third watching. I found it really beautiful, with same sadness mingled in it. It reminds me of their younger age when the father taught them fishing and the three fly-fishing together in the river. The beautiful memories in Norman’s mind must have lasted forever.Finally, I’d like to quote the monologue at the end of the movie to end my review.Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it.The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.And some of the rocks are timeless raindrops.Under the rocks are words.And some of the words are theirs.。

《大河恋》影评观后感看之前，以为是一部爱情片，而实际上，它是一部亲情片。

看之前，以为“钓鱼”只是一小部分内容，但看之后，觉得编剧太厉害，能把“钓鱼”与人物情感、人生境遇紧密联系在一起，还一点都不违和，非常佩服。

这部电影的主角是两兄弟。

父亲是一位牧师，酷爱钓鱼，小时候，两兄弟经常跟父亲一起钓鱼。

潺潺河水，静静午后，成了父子间最难忘的时刻。

虽然在一个家庭成长，但是两兄弟迥然不同的性格和人生走向。

哥哥成熟稳重、擅长读书、安分守己。

弟弟性格散漫、放荡不羁、热爱自由。

而看似安分守己的哥哥选择了去距离家乡3000公里的地方求学。

看似热爱自由的弟弟选择了一直留在家乡蒙大拿的这个小镇上。

哥哥完成了父亲的愿望，有一个光明的人生，做着父母眼里喜欢的工作。

弟弟混酒吧、混赌场、工作也吊儿郎当。

在外求学六年的哥哥，趁着大学毕业的假期回到了家乡，此时的弟弟已经是当地一家报社的记者，被当地人熟知，有个外号是“爱钓鱼的记者”。

而故事，也由此进一步展开。

此时回到家乡的哥哥，跟父母、儿时玩伴都有了一丝陌生和距离，而重新进入到这个环境，也使得他重新认识自己、认识弟弟、认识其他人。

原本只是计划短暂地待在家乡，之后会外出工作，哪知，这个假期发生的一些事情，也使他选择一直待着原本属于他的地方---家。

钓鱼虽然在影片中占的篇幅不多，但都是非常重要的时间节点，也隐喻在不同的阶段、他们的人生境遇。

第一回钓鱼场景小时候父亲带兄弟俩去河边钓鱼，教授他们挥杆的弧度、手法、钓鱼原则，这是他们童年时代最珍贵的亲情回忆。

第二回钓鱼场景少年时代，哥哥偷偷逃出来钓鱼，弟弟看见后跟着跑了出去，这是属于兄弟俩之间的钓鱼出行。

这次，他们钓的鱼数量是一样的。

这一“局”，看起来，两人不相上下。

第三回钓鱼场景哥哥时隔6年回家，与父母、儿时玩伴保持着一定的距离和问候，而在家里，弟弟跟父母的相处方式更加亲昵；在外面，弟弟为人洒脱、说话风趣、做事不拘一格、有时又特立独行，在什么场合似乎他都是焦点，甚至跟哥哥约会的女生都会表现出对弟弟更多的兴趣。
