Nowadays so many people around us are working hard to get high academic degree
专升本英语考试范文

一.考证热Nowadays, there is no consensus of opinions among people around us with respect to the viewpoint on certificates craze. Some people claim that it is meaningful and should be supported, while others maintain that it is meaningless and useless. From my own perspective, many individuals argue that getting more certificates is useful not only because a majority of university graduates, who have to face fierce competition in such a tight job market, believe that holding various certificates will help prove their abilities to some extent but also because many employers and human resources managers, in today’s China, measure a person’s ability merely by diplomas and certificates. On the contrary, that others consider that this phenomenon should not be encouraged mainly arises from the fact that they believe a certificate is not a symbol of one’s practical capability and the circumstances that many students running after more certificates can not concentrate on their major subjects.Taking into account all these features above, we can draw a conclusion that participating in certificate examinations has its both advantages and disadvantages(此句可省略).As far as I am concerned, I am in favor of the latter opinion in that I feel practical ability is most important and even decisive in our actual work. As a consequence, we should focus on improving our comprehensive quality instead of getting a certificate of no practical value.二.出国留学利弊Nowadays, there is no consensus of opinions among people around us with respect to the viewpoint on studying abroad. Some persons believe that studying abroad is meaningful and exciting while others feel that it is a waste of time, energy and money. Many individuals take the attitude that studying in a foreign university is beneficial not only because these overseas students can improve their foreign language very quickly and are likely to get good jobs after they finish their studies but also because these students, in the foreign cultural background, will enjoy a completely new life style, which opens an amazing world to them and helps enrich their life experiences. On the contrary, quite a few people argue that studying abroad also has its negative effects. For one thing, the overseas students, in order to help support themselves, have to find part-time jobs, because the cost of living in a foreign country is comparatively high. For another, a totally new environment with so many different social customs and behavioral habits may also be a barrier, which is very difficult to overcome, especially for some new comers. As far as I am concerned, the advantages of studying abroad outweigh its disadvantages. But, for me, it is a big decision to go abroad and I should take everything into consideration beforehand, such as my financial conditions and ability to adapt to new surroundings. Personally, I choose to go abroad if I find it practical in the future.三.原因分析型The Celebration of Western Festivals Nowadays, there is no doubt that an increasing number of Chinese people are keen on celebrating some western festivals with the development of society and economy. A case in point is the Valentine’s Day, for most lovers give flowers and chocolate to each other. There are many factors accounting for this phenomenon, but the following ones might be critical.First and foremost, many people, especially today’s young persons, tend to know more about western culture due to the reform and opening policy and owing to the improvement of our standard of living. As a consequence, they may be influenced by the foreign culture more or less. In addition, some merchants want to make more money, taking advantage of these foreign festivals, which are of no importance and value in Chinese history and tradition. Last but not least, some people, under growing work and study pressure, need to find joy and relax themselves in not just Chinese traditional festivals but foreign ones as well.As far as I am concerned, some western festivals, such as Christmas and Thanksgiving, are somehow meaningful and interesting to young persons. But while enjoying the atmosphere brought by those western customs, we must pay attention to keeping our own tradition and identity.四.解决问题型How to Do Online Shopping Without Being CheatedNowadays, there is no doubt that online shopping comes true and brings many new problems even crimes of this new type with the rapid development of modern science and technology. Consequently, the special attention must be devoted to this problem. To begin with, you should choose reliable online shops. This will guarantee that you. However, the situations vary from time to time and it is necessary for us to take flexible and effective measures to figure out this problem. How to Limit the Use of Disposable ProductsNowadays, many disposable products are widely used in China, which arouses great concern among people around us, especially some environmentalists. It brings about many serious environmental problems, such as global warming and white pollution. Consequently, the special attention must be devoted to this problem immediately. To begin with, we need to spare no effort to invoke the public awareness of environmental protection because the limited resources, such as fresh water and petrol, will be exhausted soon if this situation continues.Furthermore, new technology must be developed to find better materials with no harm to our environment. It's incredible how things have transformed over the years, and I am excited to share some of these changes with you.BodyTechnology and CommunicationOne of the most noticeable changes is the advancement of technology. Today, I want to talk about the development of our society. Our world is changing and improving every day. There are so many amazing things happening around us because our society is constantly growing and improving. Let's explore some of these changes together!First of all, technology plays a big role in the development of our society. Do you remember when we didn't have smartphones or tablets? Nowadays, technology is everywhere! We can use computers and the Internet to learn new things and connect with people from all over the world. Technology makes our lives easier and helps us to learn and have fun at the same time. Not only technology, but also transportation has improved a lot. In the past, people had to walk or ride horses for long distances. But now, we have cars, trains, and airplanes that can take us to faraway places quickly and comfortably. We can visit our grandparents who live in different cities or even different countries! Isn't that amazing?Another important aspect of our society's development is education. Education is the key to our future. In the past, not everyone had the chance to go to school, but now more and more children around the world have access to education. We can learn so many things in school and become knowledgeable individuals. Education helps us to build a better society for ourselves and for future generations. Moreover, our society has become more diverse and inclusive. We live in a world where people from different cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs come together. We can learn so much from each other and appreciate the beauty of diversity. By accepting and respecting one another, we create a harmonious and peaceful society. In addition, our society is becoming more aware of the importance of protecting the environment. We now understand that we need to take care of our planet for the future generations. People are using renewable energy sources like solar and wind power, recycling waste, and planting trees. We can all contribute to a greener and healthier planet.Furthermore, the healthcare system has improved significantly. Doctors and scientists are constantly making new discoveries and finding better treatments for diseases. We have access to better healthcare facilities and medicines that can save lives. It's important to take care of our health and to be grateful for the advancements in the medical field. To conclude, our society is developing and changing in so篇3As Society Keeps On Changing, So Do English Writing TemplatesHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm a 4th grader at Oakwood Elementary. Today I want to talk to you about how English writing templates change over time as our society develops. It's a pretty interesting topic when you start to think about it!See, the way we write essays and stories in English class is always shifting, little by little. The templates and formats my teacher shows us are different from what my older siblings learned when they were my age. And I'll bet you anything that by the time I'm an adult, the writing guidelines will have morphed again! It makes sense though, right? As our culture evolves and new technologies emerge, the styles of writing we use have to adapt too. The essays we pen today wouldn't make much sense to a kid from like, a hundred years ago. And who knows what crazy new formats will pop up in the decades to come?Let me give you some examples to explain what I mean. When my dad was a kid back in the 1980s, he had to handwrite all his essays using pen and paper. No laptops, no typing. Just him scribbling away with a pencil, having to erase mistakes and rewrite whole paragraphs if he messed up. What a hassle!Nowadays, we get to type everything on computers or tablets. We can cut, paste, move text around - it's so muchmore efficient. The whole writing process has been streamlined thanks to modern technology. So it only follows that the templates teachers use to guide our writing would update to take advantage of that.Another way society shapes writing templates is through what's considered proper grammar and style conventions. Words and phrasing that were broadly accepted a long time ago might be frowned upon today. Or new idioms and vocab terms get incorporated into the standards over the years. My grandpa loves telling this story about how his teacher used to rap his knuckles with a ruler whenever he started a sentence with "and" or "because". Apparently that was a huge no-no back then. But my teacher says it's actually fine now, as long as we don't overdo it. Language evolves, so the rules have to evolve too.Cultural attitudes and social norms also trickle into our writing templates, for better or worse. Like, I've noticed the examples we use in class never mention outdated stereotypes or biases anymore. My older readings from years ago didn't have that same level of sensitivity and inclusiveness that today's templates prioritize.Whether that's a good thing or not, I'll let you be the judge! But it clearly shows how the writing guidance we receive as students aims to instill the values that society deems important at that point in time.Speaking of societal values, another biggie is an emphasis on originality and critical thinking over just reciting facts. When my parents were kids, they had to follow these really rigid, formulaic templates that didn't leave much room for original analysis or creative expression. From what I understand, you basically just vomited back information in a prescribed format to prove you retained the material. No thinking for yourself allowed! How boring. In contrast, my teachers always encourage us to question assumptions, connect ideas in novel ways, and showcase our unique perspectives. The writing templates we use provide a basic framework, but allow for way more freedom and individuality in how we express ourselves. That's a huge shift from the overly prescriptive models of the past. And looking ahead, I can only assume future writing templates will keep opening up even further as the world grows more and more interconnected. We're already starting to see examples and readings pulled from all over the globe to inspireus, not just Western/American sources like before. Our exposure to diverse viewpoints and cultures is rapidly expanding. So it's easy to imagine writing frameworks that are less anchored to any one cultural paradigm. Where we fluidly blend elements and styles from every corner of the world into some kind of new, globalized model of communication and expression through the written word. Pretty cool to think about, if you ask me!To be totally honest, as much as these shifting templates aim to mirror society's evolution and progress, there are times when I find it really confusing and wish we could just stick to one standard approach. I'll be diligently following the guidance my teacher gives us one year, only for it to be contradicted by some snazzy new method the next.篇4随着社会的不断发展Hi everyone! Today I want to talk to you about how English writing templates have changed over time as our society has developed. When my grandparents were kids back in the 1950s, English writing was very different. Their teachers made them follow really strict rules about how to structure an essay. Pretty much every essay had to have an introduction paragraph that stated the main idea. Then there would be 3-5 body paragraphs that gave examples and evidence. Finally, there was a conclusion paragraph that restated the main point. The introductions often started with a really general statement like "Since the dawn of time, humans have wondered about the mysteries of the universe." Then it would get more specific until finally stating the main thesis, something like "Therefore, space exploration is crucial for the advancement of science."All the body paragraphs had to start with a topic sentence that introduced the main idea of that paragraph. For example, "One benefit of space travel is that it allows us to study other planets and moons." The rest of the paragraph would expand on that topic sentence using details and examples. The conclusions would restate the main thesis from the introduction in a slightly different way. Then it would summarize the main points from the body paragraphs. Finally, it would end with a general statement to leave the reader thinking. My grandparents' teachers were super strict about following this formula. If you didn't, you would get points deducted! They also had to avoid using contractions like "can't" or "doesn't" because those were considered too informal and casual for academic writing.Fast forward to when my parents were in school in the 1980s and 1990s. By then, the rules had loosened up a little bit. Teachers encouraged more creativity and finding your own unique writing style. The five paragraph essay structure was still around, but it wasn't the ONLY way to write. My parents could experiment with different formats as long as their thoughts were organized logically.Using personal experiences, narratives, and even humor became more accepted in academic writing during my parents' school days. The tone shifted from needing to be super formal and awkward, to being allowed to write in a way that sounded more natural. Contractions like "can't" and "shouldn't" slowly started making their way into essays. These days in the 2020s when I'm in elementary school, English writing is evolving even more. We still have to write structured essays with clear introductions, bodies, and conclusions. But we get to put a much bigger emphasis onanalysis, critical thinking, and expressing our own opinions and viewpoints.Instead of just summarizing information from books or videos, my teachers want me to take a stance on what I think about the material. They encourage using persuasive language to argue for my perspective. We also use a lot more multimedia components like embedding videos, tweets, info graphics, and podcasts into our writing. One of the biggest changes is how much more informal and conversational writing has become. I can use contractions, slang words, and even emojis in my essays these days! ???? As long as I balance it out with real evidence and analysis, it's acceptable to have a writing style that sounds more like how I actually speak. My teachers care a lot more about seeing original thoughts and ideas in my essays than following a rigid structure. Sure, we need to have logical organization and flow. But I can get creative with how I structure paragraphs and the overall document. Some of my essays start with a provocative question, make the thesis the last sentence of the intro paragraph, or even write afree-flowing personal narrative without clear sections. The goal now is to have writing that engages the reader and gets them interested in your ideas right from the start. Usinganecdotes, humor, rhetorical questions, and multimedia grabs people's attention way more than those stiff old-fashioned intro paragraphs would.I'm really glad that writing templates have become more flexible and personal over the decades. Having super rigid structured essays was probably helpful for my grandparents to learn the fundamentals of organizing ideas when they were first starting out. But as society has developed and communication has evolved, it makes sense that writing has evolved too. These days, we're asked to take in information through so many different mediums like videos, podcasts, memes, tweets, and so on. Having one uniform strict writing template doesn't make as much sense anymore. Our writing needs to be adaptable to all the unique formats and channels we communicate across.Plus, expressing our authentic personalities and viewpoints is so much more valued now than it used to be. We don't just want to be robots regurgitating information. We want to showcase critical thinking, creativity, and our individual perspectives.I think this trend of making writing more informal, multimedia, and analytical will only continue going forward. Astechnology keeps evolving, writing formats and templates will become even more dynamic and free-flowing. Maybe by the time I'm an adult, we'll be writing essays using just voice transcription, augmented reality, or some new medium we can't even imagine yet!Writing will always require solid organization and structure. But the way we put words together will keep adapting to whatever communication styles are most effective and engaging for the current time period. I'm excited to see how my essays and writing evolve throughout my life as society keeps progressing. One thing's for sure - it'll be a lot different than those rigid five paragraph essays my grandparents had to write!。
英语作文
考证热Nowadays, there is no consensus of opinions among people around us with respect to the viewpoint on certificates craze. As a consequence, we should focus on improving our comprehensive quality instead of getting a certificate of no practical value.出国留学的利与弊Nowadays, there is no consensus of opinions among people around us with respect to the viewpoint on studying abroad. Some persons believe that studying abroad is meaningful and exciting while others feel that it is a waste of time, energy and money. Many individuals take the attitude that studying in a foreign university is beneficial not only because these overseas students can improve their foreign language very quickly and are likely to get good jobs after they finish their studies but also because these students,in the foreign cultural background, will enjoy a completely new life style, which opens an amazing world to them and helps enrich their life experiences. On the contrary, quite a few people argue that studying abroad also has its negative effects. For one thing, the overseas students, in order to help support themselves, have to find part-time jobs, because the cost of living in a foreign country is comparatively high. For another,a totally new environment with so many different social customs and behavioral habits may also be a barrier, which is very difficult to overcome, especially for some new comers. As far as I am concerned, the advantages of studying abroad outweigh its disadvantages. But, for me, it is a big decision to go abroad and I should take everything into consideration beforehand, such as my financial conditions and ability to adapt to new surroundings. Personally, I choose to go abroad if I find it practical in the future.原因分析型作文The Celebration of Western FestivalsNowadays, there is no doubt that an increasing number of Chinese people are keen on celebrating some western festivals with the development of society and economy. As a consequence, they may be influenced by the foreign culture more or less.In addition, some merchants want to make more money, taking advantage of these foreign festivals, which are of no importance and value in Chinese history and tradition. But while enjoying the atmosphere brought by those western customs, we must pay attention to keeping our own tradition and identity.解决问题型How to Do Online Shopping Without Being CheatedNowadays, there is no doubt that online shopping comes true and brings many new problems even crimes of this new type with the rapid development of modern science and technology. Nevertheless, those students who intend to pursue further education beyond high school are compelled to face this embarrassing situation. From my point of view, there are several effective approaches to raising the college tuition fees.To begin with, some needy college students may win a partial or full scholarship depending on their daily performance and test scores. As a consequence, most of them will spare no effort to focus on their studies to get the scholarship. Additionally, those poor students can apply for the education assistance loan from banks, which they are required to pay back within a certain number of years after graduation. What’s more, those students in straitened circumstances can take part times jobs to make some money. Unit 1翻译:Human brings live in the realm of nature. They are not only dwellers in nature, but also transformers of it. With the development of society and its economy, people tend to become less dependent on nature directly, but indirectly their dependence grows. Human beings are connected with nature by "blood" ties. No one can live outside nature. However, the previous dynamic balance between man and nature has shown signs of breaking down. Problems such as the population explosion, ecological imbalance and the shortage of natural resources have become major factors keeping human society from being further developed. Professor Spirkin holds that the only choice for human beings is the wise organization of production and care for Mother Nature.范文:My Understanding of Environmental ProtectionMan and the environment are closely related. Man relies on the environment for water, food and shelter. A harmonious relationship between man and However, man and the environment have never been on such bad terms as they are now. As society develops, man’s transformation of nature has severely polluted his living environment. Deforestation leads to changes in rainfall patterns, causing devastating floods, droughts and sandstorms. The discharge of chemical pollutants endangers our health and the lives of other beings. And mass production has resulted in the shortage of irreplaceable natural resources such as coal and oil. If we take no immediate and effective steps to protect our environment, human beings may be the next species to become extinct. ••••••We should do our best to protect our environment by planting more trees, taking care of wildlife, reducing industrial wastes, using renewable energy, and imposing heavy fines onenvironmentally-unfriendly activities, so as to preserve the environment for future generations.Unit2翻译:Nowadays, many people are enjoying the benefits brought about by material and technological advances unimaginable in previous eras. With the development of science and technology, people’s st andard of living is getting higher and higher. People’s life expectancy has soared, too. However, oddly enough, many people do not feel happier than they used to be. It can be seen that there is no close correlation between people’s income and their happiness. Happiness cannot, after all, be bought with money.Although the majority of people are not very satisfied with their lives, they are happyto be alive, and the more time they get on earth, the better off they feel they’ll be. What is important is that material wealth is far from enough. People need spiritual happiness, too.范文:The Impact of the Mobile Phone on People’s livesAmong the many technological inventions, the mobile phone impresses me most. The mobile phone brings considerable convenience to our lives. It not only enables us to keep in touch with each other almost anytime and anywhere but also helps us solve problems or do business efficiently. In emergencies, a mobile phone can even be a life-saver. Besides, itsmulti-functions add ease and color to our lives. With a mobile phone, we can receive mail, read news, listen to music, play games, and take pictures.Yet, the mobile phone has its disadvantages, too. Most of us have experienced the nuisance of unwanted or wrong calls. We are inconvenienced by calls on occasions when we least expect one. Besides, the technology infrastructure to support mobile communication has consumed valuable natural resources and caused significant environmental problems. It is reported that electromagnetic radiation waves from the phone may result in health problems.Despite its negative side, the advantages of the mobile phone outweigh its disadvantages. I believe that with advances in science and technology, improved and safer models of mobile phones will surely serve us still better.Unit 3翻译:范文:Barriers to Knowledge TransferKnowledge transfer is a human phenomenon and plays a very important role in the process of human evolution. With the knowledge accumulated over generations, human beings can now build and transform societies with unprecedented knowledge resources. However, there are many barriers to knowledge transfer. For example, lack of trust and resistance to change undermine the transfer of knowledge. People are less likely to acquire knowledge from those whom they don't trust or to adopt new theories and practices they are not familiar with. Cultural and language barriers also hamper the transfer of knowledge between nations or ethnic groups. It would be almost impossible for people who speak different languages or dialects with different cultural backgrounds to communicate effectively, not to mention exchanging knowledge. An underdeveloped economy is another barrier to knowledge transfer. The lack of socio-economic and techno-environmental cooperation, as well as poor communications infrastructure, can greatly hinder the flow of knowledge within and between nations. To remove these barriers, people should change their attitude towards knowledge transfer and the learning of foreign languages and cultures. At the same time, efforts should be made to develop a better world economy.Unit4翻译:Some people think that they've fulfilled their tasks as long as they go on duty and come off duty on time. They never think about what is meant by "work" and why they should work at all. In fact,"work" involves such qualities as wisdom, enthusiasm, imagination and creativity. To do his work well, a worker must have a spirit of dedication, and be capable of bearing hardships and standing hard work. In addition, he should have initiative and creativity. Having initiative means the worker should be ready to grasp every opportunity to display his outstanding ability. In addition, a worker should make clear the nature and significance of the work he does, be responsible for whatever he is doing and plunge himself into the work with vigorous enthusiasm. If he can do so, he will find a job no longer a burden but an indispensable part of his life. Whatever he does, he can always find values and pleasure in the work and achieve extraordinary results in otherwise ordinary work.范文:My Career ChoiceWhen it comes to the choice of career, different people consider the matter from different perspectives. Personally I prefer to be a teacher. I have three reasons for my decision. The first reason is that the profession of teaching is in agreement with my personality. Being an outgoing, patient and understanding person, I think I am able to communicate with my students and understand their feelings easily, which constitutes an important factor in ensuring success in teaching. The second reason is that I am interested in the job. It would always give me great joy and satisfaction to see the happy faces of my students, to share my knowledge and life experience with them and to participate in their process of growing up. The third reason is related to my occupational attitude. I always believe that school teachers all over the world are respected for their profound knowledge and higher social status. I have always held my teachers in respect and I hope I would be respected as a teacher, too, in the future. I think teaching is an ideal career for me. Being a university student now, I will work hard to realize my dream.Unit5翻译:范文:Fame — Good or EvilFame has always been pursued by many people for the advantages it brings about. Fame can assure one of a high social status, high regard, great admiration, etc. Fame can also bring one wealth as a celebrity has more chances to earn big money. Besides, the applauses and flowers from the fans may boost one's self-confidence and increase one's sense of fulfillment. However, fame can ruin one's life, too. It deprives one of his privacy. As a public figure, he is often chased by fans and journalists, and his private life never escapes the media's attention or public curiosity. Fame also places one under great pressure. He has to work in line with public expectations and thus becomes the slave of his own success. So fame is a double-edged sword. I don't seek fame and I don't envy those who are famous. I highly appreciate what the American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow says about fame: "The talent of success is nothing more than doing well whatever you do without a thought of fame".Unit6翻译:范文:Attitudes Towards LifePeople hold different attitudes towards life. Some take a positive attitude and they always appreciate the beauty of life with zeal and gratitude. Some take a negative attitude towards life and any slight trouble in life may seem like the end of the world to them.A positive attitude ensures a happy, successful and healthy life. With a positive attitude, people find it easy to accept challenges and overcome obstacles while maintaining peace of mind. Besides, a positive attitude boosts their self-esteem, lifts their morale and helps them fulfill their commitments both in their career and in their everyday life. Moreover, medical research shows that positive thinking can improve the immune system and strengthen the body's resistance to diseases. There are several ways to develop a positive attitude towards life. One needs to think positively, read uplifting stories, hang around with optimistic people, give up jealousy, and participate in meaningful activities. By building a positive attitude towards life, one can enjoy a happy, successful and healthy life.Unit7翻译:范文:Healthy LifestylesDifferent people have different interpretations of a healthy lifestyle. To me, a healthy lifestyle means living in a way that helps us to be physically, mentally and emotionally healthy. We can benefit a lot from living a healthy lifestyle. On the one hand, a healthy lifestyle can help us to keep fit, increase our life expectancy, and help us form good living habits. On the other hand, a healthy lifestyle enhances self-esteem and confidence, reduces stress and pressure, and enables us to develop a positive outlook and live in harmony with each other. In short, a healthy lifestyle improves our overall sense of well-being and happiness. There are many ways to develop a healthy lifestyle. We need to exercise regularly, keep a balanced diet, and avoid alcohol and cigarettes. It would also help if we could balance our time for work and play, and find ways to release stress and pressure. With such efforts, we will be able to live in a way that contributes to our physical, mental, and emotional health.Unit8翻译:范文:My Understanding of Honesty and Success Different people have different opinions about the relationship between honesty and success. Some people believe that honesty and success are mutually exclusive. They regard honesty as a wasteful and costly investment that will only hinder success and prevent people from quick wins. Money-making tricks such as low-quality and fake products, or practices like plagiarism and bribery are seen as short-cuts to immediate success. However, many people hold that honesty and success are mutually supportive. They believe that honesty is the only means to an end. Being honest will definitely earn a person not only a good reputation but also more opportunities to develop his or her career and ability. Honesty also helps cultivate an upright and healthy personality and brings people true pride and deep joy.I agree with the latter viewpoint. Honesty is a virtue that every one of us should value. It can bring out the best in a person and will give him or her the best reward in return. Those who are honest may suffer temporary losses sometimes, but they will benefit in the long run. In short, only by being honest consistently and persistently can we gain true and lasting success.。

关于劝别人少玩手机别做低头族的英语作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Title: Let's Look Up and Live Life!Hi there, friends! Have you ever noticed how many people are always looking down at their phones nowadays? It's like they're part of a zombie apocalypse, but instead of craving brains, they're addicted to their tiny screens! I call them the "phone zombies," and I think it's time we try to save them from themselves. You see, being glued to our phones all the time is not only really boring, but it's also pretty unhealthy. I mean, think about it – we're missing out on so much of the amazing world around us because our eyes are constantly fixed on those little rectangles in our hands.Remember when we used to go to the park and actually play on the swings and slides? Nowadays, half the kids are just sitting on the benches, staring at their phones and mindlessly swiping away. What's the fun in that? I'd much rather be running around, getting exercise, and enjoying the fresh air!And what about family time? It's so sad to see families at restaurants, where nobody is talking to each other because they're all absorbed in their own virtual worlds. Wouldn't it be much nicer to have real conversations, laugh together, and make lasting memories?I know, I know – phones can be really addictive and entertaining. There are so many games, apps, and social media platforms to keep us hooked. But we have to remember that there's a whole universe beyond those screens, and we're missing out on so much by constantly being glued to them.Just think about all the amazing things we could be doing instead! We could read books and let our imaginations soar, go on adventures and explore new places, or learn a new skill like playing an instrument or painting. Heck, we could even just lie in the grass and watch the clouds roll by – something so simple, yet so peaceful and rejuvenating. And let's not forget about the health risks of excessive phone use. Have you ever noticed how your eyes start to feel strained and your neck gets sore after staring at your phone for too long? That's because we're not designed to be in that hunched-over position for extended periods. It's bad for ourposture and can even lead to headaches and other problems down the line. Not to mention the potential for addiction and social isolation. When we're constantly glued to our phones, we're missing out on real face-to-face interactions with the people around us. It's easy to become disconnected from the world and lose touch with the important relationships in our lives. So, what can we do about this phone zombie epidemic? Well, for starters, we can make a conscious effort to put our phones down more often. Maybe we can set a rule for ourselves – no phones during mealtimes or after a certain time in the evening. Or we could designate "phone-free zones" in our homes or at school, where we can all disconnect and reconnect with each other. We could also try to find new hobbies and activities that don't involve screens. Maybe we could start a book club, join a sports team, or take up a craft like knitting or woodworking. Anything that gets us moving, creating, and engaging with the world around us in a meaningful way.And when we do use our phones, let's be more mindful about it. Instead of mindlessly scrolling through social media or playing endless rounds of games, we could use our phones formore productive purposes – like learning a new language, researching a topic we're interested in, or even just keeping a digital journal to record our thoughts and experiences. At the end of the day, it's all about balance. Phones and technology can be amazing tools when used in moderation, but they shouldn't be allowed to take over our lives completely. We need to remember that there's a whole world out there waiting for us to explore and experience it – and we can't do that if our eyes are glued to a screen all the time. So, let's make a pact, my friends. Let's promise to look up and live life to the fullest. Let's put our phones down more often and reconnect with the people and world around us. Let's rediscover the joy of playing outside, having real conversations, and making lasting memories that don't involve a digital interface.Who's with me? Let's break free from the phone zombie apocalypse and start truly living again!篇2Hey there, friends! It's me, your buddy from down the street. Today, I want to talk to you about something that's been bugging me lately – our obsession with our phones!Have you ever noticed how everyone seems to be glued to their screens these days? Wherever you go, whether it's the park, the mall, or even the dinner table, you'll see people with their heads buried in their phones. It's like they're part of a secret cult called the "Phone Zombies"!I know, I know, phones are cool. They've got all these awesome games, social media apps, and whatnot. But have you ever stopped to think about how much time we're wasting glued to those little screens? Time that could be spent doing way cooler stuff?Let me give you an example. Last weekend, my family went on a picnic at the park. It was a beautiful sunny day, perfect for playing frisbee, running around, and just enjoying the great outdoors. But what did my older brother do? He spent the entire time glued to his phone, scrolling through his social media feeds and playing games. He didn't even look up when our dog, Buddy, tried to get him to play fetch! It made me so sad to see him miss out on all the fun. And you know what's even sadder? He's not the only one. I see kids and adults alike, constantly staring at their phones, oblivious to the world around them.Don't get me wrong; I love my phone too. But I've learned that there's a time and a place for it. When I'm hanging out with my friends or spending time with my family, I try to put my phone away and be present in the moment. That way, I can actually enjoy the company of the people I care about, instead of missing out on all the fun.And let's not forget about the health risks of being a "Phone Zombie." Have you ever heard of text neck? It's a real thing! Constantly looking down at your phone can cause neck pain, headaches, and even long-term damage to your spine. Yikes! Then there's the whole issue of eye strain. Staring at that bright screen for hours on end can really do a number on your eyesight. Trust me; you don't want to end up wearing glasses like Harry Potter before you even hit middle school! But it's not just physical health we need to worry about; there's also the matter of mental health. Studies have shown that excessive phone use can lead to anxiety, depression, and even addiction. It's like those little devices are slowly taking over our lives, and we don't even realize it!So, what's the solution? Well, it's simple – we need to start setting some boundaries for ourselves. Maybe we could have a "no phones at the dinner table" rule or a designated"phone-free" time each day. It's all about finding a healthy balance. And you know what? Putting down our phones might actually help us reconnect with the people and things we love. Imagine playing outside with your friends, without constantly being distracted by notifications and updates. Or having a genuine conversation with your parents, without either of you mindlessly scrolling through your feeds. It's time to break free from the "Phone Zombies" cult and reclaim our lives, my friends! Let's make a pact to spend less time glued to our screens and more time living in the moment. Who's with me?篇3Don't Be a Phone Zombie!Hi there, friends! I'm sure many of you, just like me, love playing games and watching videos on your phones or tablets. It's so much fun and can keep us entertained for hours, right? But have you ever stopped to think about how much time we actually spend staring at those little screens? I know I used to be totally glued to my phone, but lately, I've been trying to cut back. Let me tell you why!You see, a few weeks ago, my teacher Mrs. Wilson gave us a really interesting lesson about something called "phone zombies". At first, I thought it was going to be about actual zombies that live in our phones (how cool would that be?!). But it turned out to be about people who are always looking down at their devices, barely paying attention to the world around them. That's when it hit me – I was definitely a phone zombie myself!Mrs. Wilson showed us some scary statistics. Did you know that people spend an average of 3 hours and 15 minutes per day on their mobile devices? That's almost as much time as we spend in school! And get this – some people even use their phones while crossing the street or driving (which is super dangerous, by the way). It's like they're in a total trance, completely oblivious to everything except what's happening on that tiny screen.I started paying more attention after that lesson, and I realized just how many people around me were phone zombies too. At the park, there were kids ignoring the playground and just tapping away on their phones. In restaurants, entire families sat in silence, each person absorbed in their own device. Even my own parents were guilty of it sometimes, constantly checking their emails or social media instead of talking to me. It was kind of sad, to be honest. That's when I decided I didn't want to be a phone zombie anymore. Sure, I still play games and watch videos sometimes, but I'm trying really hard to limit my screen time. Instead of just mindlessly scrolling through apps, I've been going outside to play with my friends, reading books, and helping my mom with chores around the house. You know what? It actually feels really good to put my phone down and experience the real world!I'm not saying we should never use our phones or tablets again. They can be great tools for learning, connecting with loved ones, and having fun. But we need to be careful not to let them take over our lives. If we're not cautious, we might miss out on so many amazing things happening right in front of us!Just imagine – you could be so focused on a game that you don't even notice a beautiful rainbow in the sky. Or you could be texting a friend and completely tune out an interesting conversation happening next to you. You might even walk right past a neighbor or classmate without saying hello because your eyes are glued to your screen. That's no way to live, is it?So, my dear friends, let's all make an effort to be more present and mindful. When you're hanging out with your family or friends, put your phone away and actually talk to them. When you're walking to school or running errands, look up andappreciate the world around you. And when you're feeling bored, instead of immediately reaching for your device, try finding a book to read, playing outside, or learning a new skill.Don't get me wrong – I still love technology and think it's amazing how much we can do with our phones and tablets. But we have to remember to use them in moderation and not let them control us. We're human beings, not robots! We're meant to experience life in the real world, not just through a screen. If we all work together to cut back on our screen time, we can avoid becoming a society of phone zombies. We can learn to be more present, more engaged, and more connected to the people and things around us. Who's with me?Let's put down our phones, look up, and embrace the real world in all its glory. Trust me, it's a lot more exciting and interesting than anything you'll find in an app!篇4Title: Put That Phone Down and Look Around!Hi there, friends! I'm sure you're all just like me - you love your phones and tablets and can't imagine life without them. They're so much fun, with all the cool games, videos, and appswe can use. But you know what? I think we might be spending a little too much time staring at those tiny screens. I've noticed that more and more people around me seem to have their heads buried in their phones all the time. They're missing out on so much of the amazing world around them!Just the other day, I was walking home from school with my best friend Jake. He was totally fixated on his phone, tapping away at some game. I tried talking to him a few times, but he barely even looked up or responded. It was like he was in a total trance! Meanwhile, I was enjoying the beautiful sunny day, listening to the birds chirping in the trees, and smelling the sweet flowers blooming along the sidewalk. When I pointed out a squirrel scampering across the grass, Jake didn't even notice. He was too busy staring at his phone screen.I started thinking about all the other times I've seen people completely absorbed in their phones, oblivious to what's happening around them. Like that time at the park when a dad was pushing his little girl on the swings while scrolling through his phone with his free hand. The poor girl kept saying "Daddy, look at me! Look at me swing high!" but he didn't even seem to hear her. Or how about in restaurants when entire families sit insilence, each person hunched over their phone instead of talking and enjoying each other's company? It makes me really sad to see people missing out on so much because they can't pry themselves away from their phones for even a little while. Life is happening all around us, but we're too busy staring at tiny screens to notice and appreciate it. We're becoming a bunch of "phone zombies" - mindlessly shuffling around with our eyes glued to those glowing rectangles in our hands.Don't get me wrong, I love technology just as much as the next kid. My phone and tablet are awesome for looking up information for school projects, taking photos and videos to capture fun memories, and even calling my grandparents who live far away. But I also know how important it is to take breaks from screens and be present in the real world. That's where all the cool stuff is really happening! So I'm making a pledge to try my very best to be more aware of when I'm getting a little too obsessed with my devices. Whenever I catch myself zoning out and staring mindlessly at my phone for too long, I'm going to make an effort to disconnect, at least for a little while. I'll look up and appreciate the beautiful sky, listen for the sounds of nature all around me, and really payattention to the people I'm with instead of unintentionally ignoring them. Who knows what awesome sights, sounds, and moments I might be missing out on by having my nose constantly buried in a screen?I really hope some of you will consider joining me in this mission to avoid becoming total phone zombies. Let's all try to log a little less screen time and immerse ourselves more fully in the rich, vivid reality that surrounds us every day. Trust me, that game, text message, or video will still be there waiting for you after you've taken a nice break to enjoy the real world for a bit. Okay, kids? Let's put our phones down, look up, and remind ourselves how amazing life is beyond those tiny screens!篇5Don't Be a Phone Zombie!Hi friends! I'm sure all of you have phones or at least have friends and family who use phones a lot. Phones can be really fun and useful for things like taking pictures, playing games, and watching videos. But have you noticed how some people can't seem to put their phones down? They're always staring at their screens, even when they're with friends or family. It's like they've become phone zombies!I've seen kids at school who are on their phones during recess instead of running around and playing. I've seen families at restaurants where everyone is looking at their phones instead of talking to each other. I even saw a kid walking down the street while staring at their phone and they bumped right into a lamppost! That must have hurt.Being addicted to your phone and constantly looking down at it is not good for you. It's called being a "phone zombie" or a member of the "head-down tribe." Here are some of the reasons why you should avoid becoming a phone zombie:It's bad for your eyes and neckWhen you're always looking down at your phone screen, it puts a lot of strain on your eyes and neck muscles. This can cause headaches, blurred vision, and neck/shoulder pain over time. Doctors say kids should limit screen time to protect their eye development. It affects your sleepThe blue light from phone screens can disrupt your body's sleep cycle, making it harder to fall and stay asleep. Losing sleep makes you tired and cranky during the day. Put your phone away at least an hour before bedtime. You miss out on the real worldWhen your face is buried in your phone, you're not experiencing the world around you. You might miss seeing something amazing in nature, or not notice a friend trying to talk to you. What's the point of going somewhere fun if you're just going to stare at your phone the whole time?It strains your relationshipsIf you're always prioritizing your phone over interacting with family and friends face-to-face, they'll feel ignored and unimportant to you. Personal connections are so valuable – don't let your phone get in the way.It wastes time you could use more productivelyOf course some phone time is ok for learning, creating, or relaxing. But a lot of people waste hours and hours just mindlessly scrolling social media or playing games. You could use that time in much better ways like reading, exercising, or learning a new skill. It's just rude sometimes!Have you ever tried to talk to someone who wouldn't look up from their phone? So rude! When you're with friends, teachers, or family members, have good manners by giving them your full attention. So how can you avoid becoming a phone zombie? Here are some tips:• Set a time limit for yourself on phone use per day (but no t at night!)• Put your phone away during mealtimes and when spending time with friends/family• Don't sleep with your phone in your bedroom• Make a rule not to use your phone when walking or doing other activities that require focus• Fin d hobbies that get you away from screens, like sports, reading, art, music, etc.• Encourage your friends and family to cut back on phone time too!Life is so much better when you're fully present in the moment instead of burying your head in a screen. Break the phone zombie spell and regain control! Your eyes, neck, sleep, relationships and experiences will all improve. So the next time you catch yourself or a friend being a total phone zombie, say "Snap out of it! Let's go play/talk/explore instead of being glued to our phones." After all, the real world is so much more amazing than anything on a tiny screen.Put down the phone, and embrace all the awesome things happening around you!篇6Don't Be A Phone Zombie!Hi friends! My name is Sophie and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to talk to you about something really important - phone zombies! Have you ever seen people walking around with their heads bent down, staring at their phones like zombies? That's what I call the "phone zombies" and I think we need to stop being like that.Phones are awesome, I get it. I love playing games, watching videos, and keeping up with my friends on my phone too. But when we spend too much time staring at those little screens, we miss out on the real world around us. It's like we become zombies who can't see or experience anything else!Just the other day, I was at the park and I saw a whole family of phone zombies. Mom, dad, the older sister, and even the little brother - they were all hunched over their phones instead of playing on the swings and slides. The little boy almost ran right into me because he wasn't watching where he was going! I had to shout "Watch out!" so he didn't crash into me. When he finally looked up, he seemed surprised to see another human being there. That's how zoned out phone zombies can get!At school, I see kids being phone zombies during recess too. Instead of running around and getting exercise, they just sit on the benches staring at their phone screens. Sometimes they bump into people or things because they're not paying attention to their surroundings. It's like they've forgotten how to be kids and have fun without a phone in their hands!Even grown-ups can be major phone zombies. I've seen moms and dads ignoring their kids because they're too busy tapping away on their phones. Once I was at a restaurant and the family next to us just sat there in silence, all staring at their phone screens instead of talking to each other. Is that really quality family time? I don't think so!Walking while looking at your phone is dangerous too. Phone zombies have walked into trees, tripped over curbs, andeven stepped out into traffic because they were too focused on their phones to pay attention. You could get really hurt or hurt someone else by being a distracted phone zombie!I'm not saying we should never use our phones. They can be great for learning, keeping in touch with people, and having fun. But we have to remember to balance our screen time with actual face-to-face interactions and experiences in the real world. We don't want to miss out on our lives by constantly being phone zombies! So how can we stop being phone zombies? Here are some of my ideas:Set time limits for phone use and stick to them. Maybe you only get an hour of screen time per day, and then it's time to unplug.Make certain times and places "phone-free zones" where nobody is allowed to use their phones. Like at the dinner table or family outings.Pick a hobby that gets you active and away from screens, like sports, dance, art, music, or anything else you enjoy.Meet up with friends in person instead of just texting or messaging all the time. You could play at the park, ride bikes, or just hang out and actually talk! When you're spending time with family or friends, put your phone away and be present. Look people in the eye, listen attentively, and live in the moment.Notice the world around you! Make an effort to look up, look around, and appreciate the sights, sounds, and experiencesyou're missing as a phone zombie. If you catch yourself or others being phone zombies, call it out gently. A simple "Look up from your phone!" reminder can help break the trance. It's so easy to get sucked into our phones and tune out the real world. But we're missing so much by having our faces glued to those tiny screens all the time. By making an effort to control our phone use, we can start living more balanced, engaged lives as humans instead of shuffling along as phone zombies.Who wants to join me in putting down their phones more often? Let's be kids and grown-ups who appreciate each beautiful, unfiltered moment happening right in front of us - nottrapped behind a glass screen. We have the power to break free from the phone zombie haze!Life is too awesome to experience stuck in your phone. Don't be a phone zombie - look up and snap out of it! Your friends, your family, your world is waiting for you to live life to the fullest, in the moment. No more Phone Zombies allowed!。

Nowadays so many people around us are working hard to get high academic degree .I think the reason is that they believe that those degrees they pursue could guarantee their success. However, think about this, what do Bill Gates (former world’s richest person and internet guru) and Dean Kamen(inventor of the Segway scooter and the wheelchair that navigates stairs) have in common? The answer is that their remarkable achievements are recognized by the whole world without a college degree . So my point of view is high academic degree is not necessary for success.
First, let’s talk about success. How do you define success? According to Success is the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors. It does not have to be termination of an endeavor is, not does it define what that endeavor is. It really can be "to be happy", "to have a job I love", or "to raise a family". With success defined as such, and available in so many different paths, it is not NECESSARY to have a high academic degree for success.
There is another kind of success. Often we use it to refer to those who are wealthy, those who have made it in business or in the career path that they choose. When I searched the Internet, I got a list of 100 amazing “degreeless” entrep reneurs who have risen to the top. Some high-profile entrepreneurs you will recognize immediately, while others you may be
discovering for the first time. Many of them didn’t complete elementary school, and still more are considered high school dropouts. Their backgrounds and industries run the gamut; however, they all have at least two things in common. Incredible success and no college degree. Now I would like to list some of them whose names may ring a bell to you. Abraham Lincoln, lawyer, U.S. president. Finished one year of formal schooling, self-taught himself trigonometry, and read Blackstone on his own to become a lawyer.
Amadeo Peter Giannini, multimillionaire founder of Bank of America. Dropped out of high school.
Benjamin Franklin, inventor, scientist, inventor, diplomat, author, printer, publisher, politician, patriot, signer of the U.S. Declaration of Independence. Home-schooled with less than two years of formal education.
Coco Chanel, founder of fashion brand Chanel. A perfume bearing her name, Chanel No. 5 kept her name famous. Learned At convent orphanage, Aubazine
Frederick Henry Royce, multimillionaire co-founder of Rolls-Royce, automotive designer. Elementary school dropout.
Steve Wozniak, billionaire co-founder of Apple. Dropped out of college
Do you still believe that high academic degree is necessary for success? By citing these examples, I am not trying to devaluate high education. The point I wish to make is that having high academic degree is not a guarantee of success. Besides academic degree, there are many crucial factors that contribute to success, such as talent, hard working, intelligence, persistence, luck, good personality and so on.
Success, like so many other things, is in the eye of the beholder. Stand up and find what success means to you. It can change your life and help you move forward to a greater existence. Understanding that success is all a matter of what is important to you and how to get there, can change the way you look at your future and your life. You don't have to be rich or famous to be successful!。
