Never Give Up

Never Give UpDear fellow students,I stand before you today to share a message that is close to my heart – the importance of never giving up. In life, we are bound to face obstacles, challenges and setbacks. It is easy to give up when things don't go our way, but I urge you to always keep going, no matter how difficult it may seem.Let me share with you a personal story. When I was in primary school, I struggled with Math. Try as I might, I just couldn't seem to grasp some of the concepts no matter how hard I studied. I was tempted to throw in the towel and give up on the subject altogether. But my parents, teachers and mentors all encouraged me to keep going and never give up, no matter how hard it got.I took their advice to heart and continued to persevere. I sought extra help from my teachers and started to attend remedial classes. Slowly but surely, my understanding of Math improved and I eventually went on to excel in the subject. Looking back, I realize that if I had given up at the first sign of difficulty, I would never have discovered my love for Math and all the opportunities that would later open up for me.The lesson I learned from this experience is that when we face challenges, we need to confront them head on. Giving up may seem like the easiest option at the time, but it only leads to regret and missed opportunities. By pushing ourselves to overcome our obstacles, we build resilience and strength that will serve us well in the future.I also want to acknowledge that the road to success is seldom smooth. There will be times when we fall short, when we face rejection or failure. But even in these moments, we must not lose hope. Instead, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and keep moving forward. As the famous Chinese proverb goes, "Failure is not falling down, but refusing to get up."In closing, I want to leave you with this thought: never give up on your dreams. Keep pushing forward, even when it feels like the odds are against you. Remember that failure is not the end of the road, but rather a stepping stone to success. Believe in yourself, be persistent and above all, never give up.Thank you.。

Never give up英语的演讲稿范文

Never give up英语的演讲稿范文good afternoon, everybody!nothing is difficult if you put your heart on it。

nothing is easy if you don’t try your best。

we often hear people say,“never give up。

” this can be encouraging words and words of determination。

a person who believes in them will keep trying to reach his goal no matter how many times he fails。

in my opinion, the quality of determination to succeed is an important one to have。

therefore, i believe that we should never give up。

one reason is that if we give up too easily, we will rarely achieve anything。

it is not unusual for us to fail in our first attempt at something new, so we should not feel discouraged and should try again。

besides, if we always give up when we fail, we will not be able to develop new skills and grow as people。

another reason we should never give up is that we can learn from our mistakes only if we make a new effort。

There will always be some difficulties and setbacks ,In the face of which, how would you choose? Here is a true story. Because he lost one hand, his strength was unbalanced and he often choked while swimming. He had thought about giving up, but there was a strengthen in his mind that inspired him to persevere. Intensive daily and nightly training improved the strength of the other hand to maintain balance. At the beginning ,his writing was also slower than others, so he couldn’t finish his homework. He was determined to change it, practicing everyday. The hardships were only known to her. Now he overcame all the inconvenience caused by disability. With his beautiful handwriting , He not only won the first prize in swimming competition , but also was enrolled by the ideal top school --Fuyang Middle School.Efforts may not have the corresponding results, but efforts will makes its way. Face difficulties, never give up, continue to work hard! That’s all, thanks for your attention!

Ladies and gentlemen,Today, I stand before you to talk about a topic that is near and dear to my heart: never giving up. In life, we often face challenges and obstacles that can seem insurmountable. We may feel defeated and discouraged, ready to throw in the towel. But I am here to tell you that giving up should never be an option.Throughout history, we have witnessed countless examples of individuals who refused to give up, even in the face of seemingly impossible odds. Take Thomas Edison, for example. It is said that he failed over a thousand times before finally inventing the electric light bulb. Imagine if Edison had given up after just a few attempts. The world would be a much darker place today. To never give up means to have resilience and determination. It means being willing to fail and learn from our mistakes, rather than being discouraged by them. It means reminding ourselves that behind every failure lies the opportunity for growth and success. When faced with challenges, it is important to remember that failure is not the end, but rather a stepping stone towards achieving our goals. A famous quote by Winston Churchill comes to mind: \。

It ran:"Not less we praise in darker daysThe leader of our nation,And Churchill's name shall win acclaimFrom each new generation. For you have power in danger's hourOur freedom to defend, Sir!Though long the fight we know that rightWill triumph in the end, Sir!Almost a year has passed since I came down here at your Head Master's kind invitation in order to cheer myself and cheer the hearts of a few of my friends by singing some of our own songs. The ten months that have passed have seen very terrible catastrophic events in the world - ups and downs, misfortunes - but can anyone sitting here this afternoon, this October afternoon, not feel deeply thankful for what has happened in the time that has passed and for the very great improvement in the position of our country and of our home? Why, when I was here last time we were quite alone, desperately alone, and we had been so for five or six months. We were poorly armed. We are not so poorly armed today; but then we were very poorly armed. We had the unmeasured menace of the enemy and their air attack still beating upon us, and you yourselves had had experience of this attack; and I expect you are beginning to feel impatient that there has been this long lull with nothing particular turning up!But we must learn to be equally good at what is short and sharp and what is long and tough. It is generally said that the British are often better at the last. They do not expect to move from crisis to crisis; they do not always expect that each day will bring up some noble chance of war; but when they very slowly make up their minds that the thing has to be done and the job put through and finished, then, even if it takes months - if it takes years - they do it.Another lesson I think we may take, just throwing our minds back to our meeting here ten months ago and now, is that appearances are often very deceptive, and as Kipling well says, we must "…meet with Triumph and Disaster. And treat those two impostors just the same."You cannot tell from appearances how things will go. Sometimes imagination makes things out far worse than they are; yet without imagination not much can be done. Those people who are imaginative see many more dangers than perhaps exist; certainly many more than will happen; but then they must also pray to be given that extra courage to carry this far-reaching imagination. But for everyone, surely, what we have gone through in this period - I am addressing myself to the School - surely from this period of ten months this is the lesson: never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never-in nothing, great or small, large or petty - never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy. We stood all alone a year ago, and to many countries it seemed that our account was closed, we were finished. All this tradition of ours, our songs, our School history, this part of the history of this country, were gone and finished and liquidated.Very different is the mood today. Britain, other nations thought, had drawn a sponge across her slate. But instead our country stood in the gap. There was no flinching and no thought of giving in; and by what seemed almost a miracle to those outside these Islands, though we ourselves never doubted it, we now find ourselves in a position where I say that we can be sure that we have only to persevere to conquer. You sang here a verse of a School Song: you sang that extra verse written in my honour, which I was very greatly complimented by and which you have repeated today. But there is one word in it I want to alter - I wanted to do so last year, but I did not venture to. It is the line: "Not less we praise in darker days."I have obtained the Head Master's permission to alter darker to sterner. "Not less we praise in sterner days."Do not let us speak of darker days: let us speak rather of sterner days. These are not dark days; these are great days - the greatest days our country has ever lived; and we must all thank God that we have been allowed, each of us according to our stations, to play a part in making these days memorable in the history of our race.以下文字仅用于测试排版效果, 请使用时删除!“山不在高,有仙则灵。

Never Give Up
“If I could reach higher, just for one moment to touch the sky…”---this is from my favorite song Reach.
When we are appreciating the passionate melody of Gloria Estefan, we could hardly imagine that she could return to the stage after her paralysis. In the year 1990, this Cuban singer was knocked down in a traffic accident, and the doctor declared that she might never walk again. But Gloria did not give up and kept up constant exercising. Just one year after the disaster, she stood
up again and presented this encouraging song at the
Atlanta Olympics.
Whenever I think of Gloria, I can’t help
recalling my memory seven years ago, when I first entered university. Naturally shy, ordinary looking, average scores in study, just like an ugly duckling, I seemed to be the least outstanding one in my class. And the successive failures in the beginning led me into despair. “Am I destined to take the back seat to others?” Unwilling to submit to the fate, I paid more efforts on
my study as well as many other activities, film dubbing, recital, drama… cause I just want to catch every little opportunity to prove myself. Constant effort yields sure
success. Thanks to the competition, I received some
awards and most of all, I gained the courage and confidence to face any difficulties in my life journey.
Life is just like farming, and what you can reap depends a lot on your sowing and dedication. Once you
have a dream, don’t be hesitant. Your next difficult
step may be the one to the top. Keep going forward, even
in the toughest time, and never give up.
