But we know that we never stop love them and love our family.I think family means more. To different people , the word may have different meanings.To me, firstly, I think it means duty.Not as the same size as the common Chinese family, there are fourmembers in my family; father, mother, my little brother and I.Now, let me introduce my parents to you. My father is a tall man, who is a foreman that supervises others when they are working. My morther is a beautiful lady, who is a shopkeeper that has a small store.For the most part of the year, my father has to work far away from home. And I can only meet him few times except holidays during a year because basically, I am in school and my father is too busy to come back homefrequently. As I have introduced to you, I have a little brother who is only 8 years old, so the burden that my parents bear on their shoulders to bring up our family is much heavier.Being the main breadwinner in ou family, my father has to go to different places to get the work to earn money to support our family. Father once told me that “It’s man’s duty.”I don’t know what it mean because I was young at that moment. But now I can understand it profoundly.“A king realizing his incompetence, can either delegate or abdicate his duties. A father can do neither.”I think the sentence that Marlene Dietrich said is really profound opinion .So, in my opinion, duty is the essential part of a family.Secondly, I think family means protection. When we are in ourchildhood, we used to let our little hand be holdby our parentsand what we need to do was just follow in the footsteps of them happily. We all know that it’s easy for a little child to feel afraid of everything unknown, so we always want to be with their parents. We want them to protect us against anything harmful to us. We know that the place where they stay in is certain to be the safest place.“Feelings of worth can flourish only in an atmosphere where individual differences are appreciated, mistakes are tolerated, communication is open, and rules are flexible—the kind of atmosphere that is found in a nurturing family.”Virginia Stair said.Home is the best place in the world. And Family is the warmest word in the world. They often need conscious effort.Now what should we do for our parents(1) Say the words, ’’I love you’’.Maybe this phrase was not used much in our home, so it could be tough and strange at first. Don’t take it personally. What’s really important is not to have regrets.(2) Make a phone call.Now we leave home to study. We are divided with our family because of distance, but the telephone become a good way to care about our parents. We can tell them everything is OK and don’t worry about us. 英语演讲稿家庭《My Family》Hello, everyone! I want to talk about my family today. My family is like a little circus, full of fun and surprises.There's my dad, he's a big, burly man. He looks a bit serious on the outside, but he's actually a big softie. One time, we decided to go camping. Dad was in charge of setting up the tent. He was so confident at first, grumbling about how easy it was going to be. "I've done this a million times," he said with a big grin. But as soon as he started, things went haywire. The tent poles seemed to have a mind of their own and kept collapsing. He got all flustered and started muttering to himself. "What in the world is wrong with this thing?" My mom and I just stood there, trying not to laugh. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he managed to get the tent up. And he turned to us with a proud look on his face, as if he had just built a mansion. "There you go! Nothing to it," he said, wiping the sweat off his brow.My mom is the heart of the family. She's always cooking up a storm in the kitchen. And she's a bit of a clean freak too. One day, I was helping her bake cookies. I accidentally spilled a whole bag of flour on the floor. I just froze, thinking she was going to be really mad. But instead, she just sighed and said, "Oh, you silly goose. Accidents happen." Then she started cleaning it up, and I joined in. We were on our hands and knees, scoopingup the flour, and she was telling me stories about when she was a little girl and used to make a mess in the kitchen too.And then there's my little brother. He's a real character. He's always getting into some kind of mischief. One time, he thought it would be a great idea to paint the dog. He found some old paint in the garage and before anyone could stop him, he had painted big, colorful stripes on the poor dog. When my dad saw it, he was shocked at first, but then he burst out laughing. "What have you done, little rascal?" he said. My brother just grinned and said, "I made him look like a rainbow."Our family dinners are always chaotic but fun. We all sit around the table, talking over each other. One time, my brother was trying to tell a joke. "Why did the tomato turn red?" he asked. Before anyone could answer, he blurted out, "Because it saw the salad dressing!"
