冀教版英语五年级下册第一单元常考作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Summer VacationYay, it's summer vacation time! I'm so excited because I get to sleep in late, play video games, and not have any homework for two whole months. Summer is the best! This summer, my family went on an amazing trip to Beijing. Beijing is the capital city of China and it's really big and crowded with tons of people and cars. We stayed in a nice hotel that had a big swimming pool. I went swimming almost every day!One of the top things I wanted to see in Beijing was the Great Wall of China. It's an enormous wall that goes on forever through the mountains. We took a bus to get there and then had to do a lot of hiking up steep steps to reach it. I was hot and sweaty but it was so cool to finally see the Great Wall in person. We walked along the top for a little while and I could see the wall snaking through the hills. It must have taken forever for people to build that huge thing brick by brick!Another awesome place we visited was the Forbidden City. It used to be the palace for Chinese emperors and their families to live. It has nearly 1000 buildings with pretty gardens and these ornate halls with slanted roofs and red columns. My feet got really tired from walking around looking at everything! I felt like I was transported back to ancient China times. My little brother got bored after a while but I thought it was fascinating. We also went to Tiananmen Square which is this enormous open plaza in central Beijing. Apparently it's one of the biggest public squares in the world! There were tons of people milling around taking pictures. We saw the Mao Zedong Memorial Hall where Chairman Mao's body is kept. You have to be completely quiet and walk in a line to view his body from behind glass. It was pretty creepy if you ask me!Another fun thing we did in Beijing was watch an acrobat show one evening. The performers did all kinds of amazing flips, juggled tons of objects without dropping anything, and contorted their bodies into crazy pretzel shapes. At one point, they stacked up these chairs super high and a lady climbed up and did handstands at the very top! I don't know how she didn't fall. My palms were sweating just watching it. The acrobats made it look so easy.Of course, we had to try plenty of delicious Beijing food like Peking duck, jiaozi dumplings, and zhajiangmian noodles. My favorite was the juicy Peking duck with crispy skin that you wrapped up in those thin pancakes with sauce and veggies. One night for dessert we had tanghulu which are candied fruit skewers. I probably ate way too much sugar that night!Overall, I had an amazing time in Beijing. We got to see so many incredible historical sites and experience Chinese culture. I took a ton of photos and videos to remember the trip. I even bought some cute souvenirs like a Chinese fan and jade jewellery box for my mom. Now I'm back home and I've been showing off my Beijing pictures to all my friends. They're super jealous! Next summer, I'm going to beg my parents if we can go see the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xi'an. A guy can dream, right? I can't wait for our next big family adventure!篇2My Favorite SeasonI really really really love summer! Summer is my super favorite season of the whole year. There are so many fun things to do in the summer that you can't do in the other seasons. In the summer, it's hot and sunny almost every day. That means I can play outside for hours and hours without having to put on a big heavy coat or boots. I hate bundling up in lots of clothes to stay warm. In the summer, I can just wear shorts and a t-shirt and be perfectly comfortable. My mom doesn't even make me wear socks unless we're going somewhere fancy! The sunny summer days are great for swimming too. My family has a pool in our backyard and I'm out there splashing around as soon as I wake up until it gets dark. I've gotten so tan this summer from being outdoors all day. I'm like a little brown berry! My brother says I look like a mud pie but I don't care. When it's really hot, there's nothing better than cannonballing into the cool water.Even if we didn't have a pool, there are so many other places I could go swimming in the summer near my house. There's a lake at the park just a few blocks away where they have swimming areas roped off. My friends and I ride our bikes there almost every day in July and August. We have contests to see who can make the biggest splash and who can hold their breath underwater the longest. There's also a huge water park about 30 minutes from my house that has giant twisting water slides and a lazy river you canfloat around in inner tubes all day. They shoot waves into the wave pool every few minutes that are SO much fun to jump over or just let crash into you. My dad takes me and my brother there a few times each summer for my birthday and his birthday. It's like the best present ever!Another thing I love about summer is that school is out, so I never have to set an alarm or do homework or take tests. I can just play all day and only have to worry about things like sleepovers, Popsicles, and Pokemon. Summer is freedom! No teachers, no classes, no schoolwork -- just fun fun fun all day and night.Speaking of night, summer has the best nighttimes too. It stays light really late since the sun doesn't go down until after 8pm. That means I have forever to play outside with my friends. We have epic games of hide-and-seek andghost-in-the-graveyard that go on for hours since it doesn't get dark. Or we'll have backyard camping adventures, pitching little pup tents and telling scary stories under the stars. And there's nothing more fun than catching fireflies in a jar at night in the summertime! We run around the yard trying to chase them as they blink their little lights on and off. Sometimes we let them go right away, but other times we punch holes in thelid and keep them overnight as a natural nightlight. Their greeny-yellow glow is so pretty and peaceful as I'm falling asleep.Another great thing about summer nights is that it stays so warm, even after the sun goes down. My parents let me sleep out on the back porch or even in the backyard a lot. I just roll out a sleeping bag and catch all the warm night breezes and listen to the crickets and tree frogs chittering. I wake up to beautiful sunny mornings with the birds chirping. It's like camping but way easier and more comfortable than a tiny tent!Of course, summer also means incredible food that you can't get during the rest of the year. There are big family barbecues every weekend where my dad grills burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and steak. We have so much fun running through the sprinkler and chasing each other with water balloons while the delicious smells of the barbecue waft through the backyard. And then there are sweet summer treats like popsicles, ice cream cones, and frozen lemonade from the truck that drives around our neighborhood. The second I hear that classic ice cream truck music from down the street, I sprint outside with a few dollars for a Double Strawberry Crunch bar or a banana splitboat. Nothing beats biting into those cold, creamy, sugary treats to stay cool on a blazing summer day.Summer also has the yummiest fruits and vegetables, like cold, crunchy watermelon, sweet grape tomatoes from my grandpa's garden, and fresh berries in every color. My birthday is in July, so my mom always makes me an amazing fruit pizza for my party with a soft sugar cookie crust, cream cheese frosting, and tons of kiwi, mandarin oranges, strawberries, and blueberries on top. YumBut maybe the number one best part of summer is that I don't have to go to school! No teachers, no homework, no tests, no stressing about grades, no waking up early, no schedules. Just complete freedom to do whatever I want, whenever I want. I can sleep late, stay up even later, and fill my days with nonstop recreation and relaxation. It's 100% pure bliss with zero responsibilities. Some of my friends like to go to summer camps or take classes over summer break to "stay active" but I think that's silly. Summer should be for resting your brain, not putting more worksheets and early wake-up calls back into it! I'd way rather spend my summer splashing in the pool, running through sprinklers, riding my bike to the creek, eating infinite ice cream, and staring at fireflies than sitting in a classroom or following a schedule. That's why summer is, was, and always will be my absolute favorite season ever. I really really really love it and I'm so sad when it comes to an end every year as August turns into September. Nothing beats those sunny, sweaty, carefree days of playing from dawn until way past dusk. I wish it could be summer year-round!But I try to soak up as much summer fun as I can before that awful first crisp morning of fall--the one where you can smell the new turn in the air, almost bitter after months of sweetness. That's when I know the party is over and it's time to head back to school, long pants, jacket weather, and the other blah seasons that just can't compare. Nothing tops summer's warmth, freedom, and nonstop excitement! So while all you crazies are looking forward to colored leaves, crisp apples, cozy sweaters and your beloved winter wonderlands, I'll be here soaking up these last few weeks of pure summer perfection. I'm going to keep clinging to every extra degree, every ounce of humidity, every tiny little blast of heat for as long as I can. Because as far as I'm concerned, the sunshine,Popsicles, and morning cartoons can never be endless enough. Summer, I love you always and forever篇3My FamilyI have a pretty big family with lots of people! Let me tell you all about them.First, there's my mom and dad. My mom's name is Lisa and she's really nice. She works at a big office downtown as an accountant. That means she helps companies keep track of their money. My dad's name is Michael and he's a teacher at my school! He teaches math which is one of my favorite subjects. I like when he helps me with my math homework.I have one little brother named Jake. He's 7 years old and just started 2nd grade this year. Jake can be really annoying sometimes because he's always bugging me and trying to play with my toys. But he's also really funny and makes me laugh a lot. We like to play video games and build Lego sets together. Then there's my grandma and grandpa on my mom's side. Their names are Emily and Robert. They live pretty close by in the same town as us. Grandma is a really good cook and alwaysmakes my favorite foods like chocolate chip cookies and mac and cheese whenever we come over. Grandpa used to be a police officer but now he's retired. He takes me fishing at the lake sometimes which I love.My other grandparents are Diane and Paul on my dad's side. They live a little farther away in another state, so we only get to see them a few times a year. But when we do visit, it's always a lot of fun! Grandma Diane has a beautiful garden full of flowers and vegetables that she lets me help take care of. Grandpa Paul has an awesome game room with a pool table, air hockey, and all sorts of video games that we play together.I also have three aunts and two uncles, plus a bunch of cousins. My aunt Karen is married to my uncle Greg and they have twin daughters named Lily and Sophie who are 10 years old. Sophie and Lily are my closest cousins in age so we're really good friends. We love having sleepovers and watching movies together. Uncle Greg is super silly and always telling jokes to make us laugh. My aunt Stephanie is single without any kids, but she has two dogs named Buster and Coco that are like her babies! Whenever we go to her house, the dogs go crazy saying hi to us. Aunt Stephanie loves to take me shopping with her. Then my aunt Jessica is married to my uncle David and they have a son named Tyler who's 14. He's my oldest cousin and is really into sports like basketball and soccer. Tyler's also really good with technology and helps me set up new video games and apps on my tablet. And lastly, I have a cousin named Zoe who just turned 5. She's the daughter of my mom's brother who I've never met before because he lives really far away in another country. But Zoe and her mom came to visit us for the first time a few months ago and it was awesome getting to finally meet them! Zoe was a little shy at first but after we started playing together with dolls and toys, we became best friends quickly. I'm really hoping they can come visit again soon.As you can see, I have a gigantic family with so many people in it! Sometimes it can be hectic and crazy, especially when we all get together for holidays and birthdays. But I love each and every one of my family members. We always have so much fun being together and making lots of great memories. Even though they all have their quirks and weird habits, I wouldn't want any other family in the whole wide world! Having a huge, loving family is the best.篇4My Summer Vacation!Yay, summer vacation was here at last! School was out and I had three months off to have fun and adventures. I was so excited for all the amazing things I would get to do.The first week, my family went on a trip to the beach. We loaded up the car with all our stuff - suitcases, beach toys, boogie boards, you name it! The drive took forever but I didn't mind because I was daydreaming about playing in the ocean and building sandcastles. When we finally got there, the beach was beautiful! The sand was soft and white, and the water was a pretty blue-green color. I quickly got my swimsuit on and raced towards the waves, splashing and jumping over them. My little brother was scared of the big waves at first but I showed him it was fun. We spent hours body surfing, making sand angels, and looking for pretty seashells. In the evenings, we had bonfires and roasted marshmallows for s'mores. The marshmallows got all gooey and melty - yum! I also liked hunting for crabs and other cool sea creatures when the tide went out. We found a giant sand dollar that was almost as big as my head! Our family trip made so many awesome memories. After getting home, I was busy with summer camp for a few weeks. We did all kinds of fun activities like swimming, arts and crafts, playing games, and going on field trips. My favorite was when we went to the science museum and got to do experiments.I loved mixing chemicals to make crazy reactions happen!I also had a lemonade stand with my best friend to make some spending money. We spent a whole day coming up with our business plan and making signs. Then we set up shop on the corner and cheered to get people's attention: "Lemonaaaade, ice cold lemonade here!" We definitely worked hard squeezing all those lemons. By the end of the day our arms were sore, but we made 20 whole dollars!Towards the end of the summer, my cousins came to visit for a few weeks. That was probably my favorite part because I love it when we're all together. We had massive pillow fights and tickle wars that left us exhausted but laughing until our bellies hurt. We also went to the movies, the arcade, and the water park.At the water park we must have gone on the biggest slide a million times! We'd race each other from the top then bomb into the pool at the bottom, seeing who could make the biggest splash. My cousin Danny was the splash champion for sure. No matter how hard I tried, his cannonballs always drenched me!One night we had a camping adventure in my backyard. We set up two little pup tents, told spooky stories, and made s'mores again. We made sure to sneak back inside around midnight though because the raccoons in the neighborhood were crazy! I don't know what I would have done if one of those masked bandits tried to steal my s'mores stash. As the final week rolled around, I spent lots of time riding my bike, climbing trees at the park, and having water balloon wars to beat the heat. I was determined to squeeze every last drop of fun out of my vacation beforegulpgoing back to school. While I was sad for summer to end, I'd had the time of my life! The memories I made road tripping to the beach, doing science experiments, becoming a lemonade tycoon, and wildin' out with my cousins would keep me smiling until next year's break. Fourth grade was cool, but I couldn't wait to see what crazy adventures and possibilities awaited in the 5th grade!篇5My Favorite SeasonDo you have a favorite season? I sure do! My favorite time of year is summer. There are so many fun things to do when it's warm outside. Let me tell you all about the awesome activities of summer!First of all, summer means no school! That's right, we get a huge break from classes, homework, and waking up super early. Instead of having to sit at a desk all day, we can run around outside and play as much as we want. It's glorious! One of my favorite summer activities is going swimming. Whether it's at a pool, lake, river, or ocean, splashing around in the cool water is so refreshing on a hot day. I love doing cannonballs and seeing who can make the biggest splash. My friends and I have contests to see who is the best swimmer too. I'm a pretty good freestyle swimmer, but I need to work on my backstroke.Another awesome summer activity is going camping. My family likes to pack up our tent, sleeping bags, camp stove, and other supplies then head out into nature. We find a nice spot in the woods or mountains to set up camp. At night, we build a campfire to roast marshmallows and tell spooky stories. I love falling asleep to the sounds of crickets and waking up to birds chirping. Camping is the best!Speaking of being outdoors, summer is also great for hiking, biking, and going on picnics. There are so many beautiful parks and trails to explore when the weather is nice. My friends and I have had epic Nerf gun battles in the woods before. We also like riding our bikes really fast down the big hills - it feels like flying! For picnics, my mom packs up a cooler with sandwiches, fruit, veggies, and other snacks then we'll find a shady spot in a park to spread out our blanket. Yum!Of course, summer isn't complete without fun festivals, fairs, and 4th of July fireworks! Every year, there's a big carnival that comes to our town with rides, games, music, and lots of fun treats like cotton candy, caramel apples, and snow cones. I go on all the wild rollercoasters and spinning rides. I've even won a giant stuffed animal at the baseball toss before! On the 4th of July, we have a huge fireworks display over the lake. The whole family lays out blankets to watch the bright, colorful explosions in the night sky. It's always so beautiful! Those are just some of the reasons why I absolutely love summer. No other season can compare to the warm temperatures, long sunny days, vacations from school, and endless opportunities for fun in my book. From splashing in thewater to roasting s'mores over a campfire to riding rollercoasters at the fair, summer is simply the best time of year. What about you? What's your favorite season and why? Maybe you're more of a winter person who loves the snow, sledding, and hot chocolate. Or maybe spring is more your thing with the flowers blooming and fun holidays like Easter. Whenever your favorite season is, I hope you get to enjoy it to the fullest!篇6My Favorite SeasonI really like all the seasons, but my favorite season of all is summer! Summer is the best because of the warm weather, fun activities, and no school. Let me tell you all about the awesome things that happen in the summertime.First of all, the weather in summer is so nice and warm. The sun shines brightly and everything feels happy. I love going outside without having to bundle up in a big coat, hat, scarf and gloves. In the summer, I can just wear shorts and a t-shirt and be perfectly comfortable. My mom doesn't have to nag me to put on extra layers before going out to play. The warm summer temperatures are perfect for swimming! I'm a really good swimmer and I love splashing around in the pool or at the beach. The water feels so refreshing when it's hot outside. My family has a pool in our backyard, so I'm lucky that I can go swimming anytime I want during the summer months. We also go to the beach for vacation sometimes, and I have so much fun playing in the ocean waves and building sandcastles.Another fun summer activity is camping. My family and I love to go camping in the forest or mountains for a few days. We pack up our tent, sleeping bags, camp stove and other supplies and head out into nature. At the campsite, we build a campfire, roast marshmallows, and look up at the bright stars in the night sky. Camping is exciting because you're sleeping outdoors and can hear all the sounds of animals and bugs around you. I feel so free being out in the wilderness!Of course, the best part about summer is not having any school or homework! I get a long break from studying, tests, waking up early, and carrying my heavy backpack everywhere. In the summer, I can sleep in as late as I want without my mom rushing me out the door. My days are wide open to do whatever activities I feel like - play outside, read comic books, watch movies, or just lie around and relax. No teachers assigninghomework or nagging me to complete assignments. It's the ultimate freedom! My friends and I have so much fun in the summer. We ride our bikes all around the neighborhood and park. We have water balloon fights in the backyard. We run through the sprinklers to cool off. We play basketball, soccer, or just play fun imagination games. With no school, we have tons of time to hang out together and not be stuck inside a classroom all day.Summer is also the season for amazing food! There are so many delicious summer treats like popsicles, ice cream cones, lemonade, hamburgers and hot dogs fresh from the grill, watermelon, and corn on the cob. Everything just tastes better when you're eating outside on a sunny day. My birthday is in July, so I always get to have a fun summer pool party to celebrate. Some people complain that summer is too hot, but I don't mind the heat at all. I would much rather be hot and able to do fun summer things than be freezing cold and stuck inside during the winter. As long as you stay hydrated by drinking plenty of cold water or juice, the summer heat is no problem at all. You can find shady spots or jump in a pool to cool off. There's no such easy solution when it's freezing in the winter! The only bad thing about summer is that it has to eventually come to an end. I dread that first morning in late August when my mom wakes me up early and says "Time to get ready for school!" All of a sudden, fun summer is over and I have to get back on a strict schedule, wake up early, and start homework and schoolwork again. But I try not to think about that until it happens. Instead, I focus on soaking up every last bit of summer fun while I can.In conclusion, summer is 100% my absolute favorite time of the year. From the beautiful warm weather to the fun activities, delicious food, and long break from school, summer can't be beat! I make sure to enjoy every single。

冀教版五年级下册英语一二单元作文儿全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Summer Vacation AdventuresHi there! My name is Li Ming and I'm a 5th grade student. I just finished the 1st and 2nd units in my English textbook and I want to tell you all about my summer vacation using what I learned.Last summer was the best summer ever! I went on so many fun adventures with my family. At the beginning of summer, we went to my grandparents' house in the countryside. Their house is really big with lots of rooms. There's a huge yard outside with a garden full of fruits and vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers, and carrots. My favorite part was playing in the fields behind their house.I ran around catching grasshoppers and butterflies. Sometimes I would see cows, sheep, and pigs too! The animals were really friendly. I liked petting the sheep because their wool felt so soft and fluffy. The farmer showed me how to milk the cows. It was harder than I thought! In the evenings, my grandparents and I would sit outside and look at the starry night sky. We saw so many bright stars! My grandpa taught me how to find the Big Dipper and the Little Dipper. He also pointed out the planet Mars to me. It looked like a tiny red speck of light but it was still cool to see a planet with my own eyes. After visiting my grandparents, we went to spend a week at a beach resort. I love the ocean! We stayed in a big hotel right near the beach. Every morning, I would wake up and race outside to put my feet in the salty water. The sand was so warm and soft between my toes. My parents showed me how to boogie board and ride the small waves. It was hard to stand up at first but I got the hang of it after a few days.In the afternoons, we would explore the tide pools along the rocky shore. We found so many neat sea creatures like crabs, starfish, and little fish trapped in the pools when the tide went out. My favorite was the bright orange Garibaldi fish. We also went snorkeling one day and I got to see a whole underworld of coral and tropical fish up close. The colors were amazing! The best part of the beach though was building sandcastles. My dad and I spent hours sculpting castles, villages, and pyramids out of the wet sand. We used sticks and leaves to addlittle details and windows. One time we even buried my mom up to her neck in the sand! She pretended to be a mermaid caught on the beach. We all laughed so hard. After the beach, we went camping in the mountains for a few nights. My uncle has a big tent that he let us use. We hiked deep into the forest to find the perfect camping spot right next to a beautiful lake. I loved falling asleep under the stars listening to the peaceful sounds of nature all around me.During the days, we went on long hikes through the woods. We saw lots of tall trees, bushes, moss, and mushrooms. Once we even spotted a deer peeking out from behind a fallen log! We also found a cave that we carefully explored with our flashlights. It felt so cool and mysterious inside. My dad said caves were homes for bats and other critters. At night, we made a warm campfire to roast marshmallows and hot dogs. Tell me about it! The gooey chocolate and marshmallows smashed between two graham crackers was the best treat ever. We told spooky stories around the fire too. My little sister got so scared when my uncle did the monster voice! On our last day of camping, we went canoeing around the lake. I got to steer the canoe and everything! We saw some ducks swimming together and barely made a ripple as we glidedacross the glassy water. The scenery with the trees and mountains reflecting on the lake was just breathtaking.Well, those were the highlights of my awesome summer adventures! I got to experience so much in nature away from the city. I made a million fun memories with my family that I'll never forget. Being outdoors and active was the best way to spend my summer vacation. I worked on my English skills a ton too! What did you do over summer break? I hope you had as much fun as I did making amazing memories. Being a kid is the best! Thanks for reading my essay. Until next time!篇2My Summer Vacation Fun!Hi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 5th grader. I just had the best summer ever and I can't wait to tell you all about it. Our teacher Ms. Wang asked us to write about what we did over the holiday, so here goes! The first really exciting thing that happened was my grandparents came to visit from the countryside. They live on a farm so it's always fun when they come because they bring fresh fruits and vegetables with them. This time, Grandma broughtloads of plump juicy strawberries that she had picked herself. Mmm, they were so sweet and delicious! Grandpa brought a huge watermelon that was as big as a basketball. When Dad cut it open, it was the most beautiful bright pink color inside. We ate watermelon for days until it was all gone.My grandparents stayed for two whole weeks. Grandma taught me how to make jiaozi (dumplings) from scratch. First, we mixed the dough and let it rest. Then we stuffed the little dough circles with a tasty mixture of ground pork and veggie filling. I wasn't very good at making the jiaozi shapes at first, but Grandma showed me the twisting technique and soon I got the hang of it. We must have made over 100 jiaozi! That evening we boiled them and ate them piping hot with some vinegar dipping sauce. Yum yum!Grandpa took me, my little brother Bao, and my parents to the park near our apartment one day. He showed us how to play jianzi, which is like a kick shuttlecock game. You have to use your feet to keep a weighted shuttlecock from hitting the ground. It was really tricky! Bao couldn't do it at all but I managed to kick it up a few times before missing. Grandpa was amazing though - he could keep it up for ages. "Practice makes perfect," he told mewith a wink. I'm definitely going to keep practicing jianzi this year.Another awesome part of my summer was going to the new aquarium that opened up downtown. They had massive tanks with every type of fish you can imagine - clownfish, sharks, rays, seahorses, you name it! My favorite were the jellyfish. They looked like gorgeous dancing aliens floating dreamically through the water. The stingray tank was super cool too. You could actually reach your hand in and try to pet the stingrays as they glided by! Their bodies felt really smooth and velvety. In the outdoor area, they had some larger animals like penguins, seals, and walruses. The walruses were so funny and loud! They would open their huge mouths and make grumbling noises that echoed all around. Bao got a kick out of trying to imitate their noises. We also watched a sea lion show where the trainers had them spinning balls on their noses, waving with their flippers, and even giving each other hugs. The sea lions looked like they were having so much fun!On the 4th of July, we went to the big fireworks celebration downtown. We found a perfect spot in the park with a clear view of the river where the fireworks get set off. As we waited for nightfall, I snacked on cotton candy and drank an ice coldstrawberry lemonade. When it finally got dark, the show began with a massive rumbling bang! All these bright red and blue fireworks started exploding in the sky, raining sparks down below. My heart raced with excitement at each thunderous boom. The finale was absolutely incredible - they set off at least 100 fireworks all at once in every color imaginable. The crackling sounds mixed with the oohs and ahhs of the crowd. Bao covered his ears but I didn't want to miss a single second. When it was over, everyone cheered and clapped. As we walked back home surrounded by the smell of gunpowder, I looked up at the cleared night sky and made a wish on the first star I saw. Those are just a few of the highlights from my summer. Between grandparents visiting, fun new experiences, and the firework celebration, it could hardly have been better! Now I'm feeling refreshed and ready to start a new school year. Fifth grade, here I come!篇3My Amazing School LifeHi friends! My name is Li Ming and I'm a fifth grade student at Sunshine Elementary School. I want to tell you all about myawesome school life and what I've been learning in my English class this semester. Get ready for an exciting adventure! In Unit 1, we learned about "My Hobbies." I have so many fun hobbies that I love doing in my free time. My favorite hobby is playing basketball! I'm the point guard on my school's team and we practice every week. Dribbling the ball and shooting baskets is the best feeling ever. I also really enjoy reading comics and novel series. My ultimate dream is to become a famous author one day and write epic stories that kids all over the world can enjoy.Another hobby I have is listening to music and playing the guitar. I'm learning to play cool rock songs! Music helps me feel calm and happy. I can listen to tunes for hours, especially when I'm doing homework. Speaking of homework, my least favorite hobby is definitely having to do loads of math problems. I'd way rather be outside playing sports than stuck inside doing equations. But I know it's important for my future, so I try my best.In class, we did fun projects about our hobbies too. I made a poster showing all the novels I've read recently, with cool illustrations I drew myself. I also brought in my guitar and basketball to show everyone. We even had a "Hobby Fair" wherewe all set up booths and taught each other about our favorite activities. It was awesome getting to learn straight from my friends who are experts!Okay, get ready for Unit 2 - it was all about "My Day." We learned vocabulary for describing our daily routines and schedules. Let me walk you through my typical day. I wake up at 6:30 am when my mom calls up the stairs for me. I get dressed, brush my teeth, and head down for breakfast. Usually I'll have some rice porridge with pickles - it's delicious and gives me energy! Then I rush out the door to catch the school bus at 7:15 am. The ride takes about 20 minutes. As soon as I get to school at 7:35, I meet up with my best friends Jia Li and Xiao Zhang in the playground before class starts at 8 am. We always play basketball together and chat about our homework from the night before. My first few classes are Chinese, math, and English. Those are my favorite subjects! I work really hard, especially in English class since I want to become an expert speaker and writer. After those classes, we have reading time where I can dive into the latest comic book I'm obsessed with. Around 11:30 am, we GO outside for activity period where I get to play basketball again with my teammates - woo hoo!We break for lunch at 12 pm in the cafeteria. I pack dumplings, veggies, and fruit from home to eat. Then it's back to afternoon classes like science, history, and art. Science is my least favorite, especially when we have to dissect things - yuck! I'd much rather be in the art room drawing cool pictures and making crafts. Finally, school ends at 3:30 pm and I head home on the bus. I get home around 4 pm and have a snack while I work on my homework for a couple hours. For dinner, my dad always cooks these amazing noodle or rice dishes. After eating, I take a break to listen to music, read, or shoot some hoops outside.Around 8 pm, I settle back in to finish up any last homework assignments. Then I get ready for bed around 9 pm - I brush my teeth, put on pajamas, and my mom reads me a story as I snuggle under my cozy covers. I fall asleep dreaming about the exciting day awaiting me tomorrow! That's a peek into my busy but fun school life here in China. Between classes, homework, hobbies, and hanging out with friends, there's never a dull moment. I feel so lucky to be getting an amazing education and making wonderful memories. My English skills are improving more and more each day too. I can't wait to see what other adventures await as I continue my journeythrough fifth grade. Thanks for reading about my daily routine - I'll talk to you all again soon!篇4My Summer VacationHi everyone! I'm so excited to tell you all about my awesome summer vacation. It was the best summer ever! I got to do so many fun things and go on cool adventures. I can't wait to share all the details with you.First of all, my family and I went to visit my grandparents in the countryside. Their house is big and old but really pretty. It has a huge garden with all kinds of fruits and vegetables growing. My grandpa showed me how to pick strawberries, tomatoes, and cucumbers. He even let me water the plants using the big hose. That was tons of fun!Every morning, I helped my grandma collect the eggs from the chicken coop. The chickens were pretty funny looking, always pecking at the ground. A couple times the rooster came up to me and I got a little scared because he looked mad. But Grandma said he was just being a rooster. We had the freshest eggs ever for breakfast! In the evenings, my cousins came over to Grandma and Grandpa's house to play. We ran around outside playing tag and hide-and-seek until it got dark. Sometimes we caught fireflies in jars to watch them glow. My cousin Johnny is really good at catching them! One night, we even roasted marshmallows over the firepit in the backyard. Grandpa told us spooky ghost stories that made me jump. The best part was when we all went camping in the mountains for a few days. We hiked way up into the woods and found the perfect spot right next to a stream. Setting up the tents was hard work, but we all helped. Then we got to go exploring and splashing around in the cold mountain water. We caught little fish and crawdads with our bare hands!Around the campfire at night, we roasted hot dogs and made ooey gooey s'mores. We sang silly campfire songs and looked at all the bright stars in the night sky. I had never seen that many stars before! I got to sleep in the tent with my cousin Amanda. We stayed up late whispering and giggling about fun camp stuff. After a few days of camping, we had to pack up and head back home. I was really sad to leave the great outdoors. But I was also excited because the next part of my summer vacation was atrip to the beach! We drove for what felt like forever until we finally made it to the ocean. The beach was amazing! The sand was hot but felt so good between my toes. I loved playing in the salty waves and boogie boarding. My brother and I had a contest to see who could jump the highest over the waves. He won, but just barely! We also built a massive sandcastle and decorated it with shells we found.Every night, we walked along the beach to watch the beautiful sunset over the water. The sky turned bright orange, pink, and purple - it was breathtaking. Sometimes we spotted dolphins swimming and jumping in the waves. On our last night, we had a beachside bonfire and roasted marshmallows again. I loved the smell of the salty ocean air mixed with the smoke from the fire. All too soon, it was time to head back home from the beach.I wasn't ready for summer to be over! The last few weeks at home went by in a blur of playing outside with my neighborhood friends. We had lemonade stands, played basketball in the driveway, and went on backyard camping adventures right in our own yard. Before I knew it, it was time to start back at school. Summer always goes by way too fast! This year was definitely one I'llnever forget though. Between the fun at my grandparents', camping in the mountains, and the trip to the beach, I had the best summer ever. I made so many amazing memories that I'll cherish forever.I can't wait to see what awesome adventures next summer will bring! Maybe we'll even get to go on a fun road trip or visit a new state. I'll definitely be counting down the days until summer vacation. School is okay, but nothing beats those carefree summer days. Thanks for reading about my summer - I hope you all had fabulous ones too! Here's to many more adventures ahead!篇5My Summer Vacation and My School LifeHi friends! I'm so excited to tell you all about my summer vacation and the new school year. Get ready for a fun story! The summer holidays were awesome. I had two whole months off from school to sleep in, play games, and basically do whatever I wanted. No more homework or tests for a while! My parents let me stay up way later than normal too. Instead of going to bed at 9pm, I could stay up until 10:30pm. That felt so grown up and cool.A few days into the break, my aunt and uncle visited us from another city. They brought my cousins Lily and Tom with them. Lily is 8 years old and Tom is 6. At first, I thought having them stay with us for 3 weeks was going to be a total pain. I didn't want dumb little kids hanging around and bugging me all day. But you know what? We ended up having a blast together!Lily, Tom and I became like the Three Musketeers. We played endless games of hide-and-seek and tag around the house and yard. My dad setup a badminton net and we had tournaments to see who was the best badminton player. I usually won, but Lily was shockingly good for her age. We also rode our bikes all around the neighborhood and pretended to be heroic warriors saving the world. Our neighbors probably thought we were crazy kids, but we didn't care one bit!The highlight was when my parents took us to a water park for two days. It had the craziest, tallest, loopiest water slides I've ever seen. We must have gone down the slides 100 times. We also played in the wave pool and lazy river until our fingers and toes turned into prunes. By the end of those two days, we were exhausted but it was so worth it!Eventually, my aunt and uncle had to go back home. Lily, Tom and I were all really sad to have to say goodbye. Weexchanged videos, pictures and promised to keep in touch online. I already can't wait for them to come visit again next summer! After they left, the weeks just flew by. My parents and I went camping a few times, visited family, went to the movies, had sleepovers with friends, and more. I tried my best not to waste the summer just sitting around. Before I knew it, it was time to get ready to go back to school.I'm not going to lie, I was pretty bummed for summer to be over. Who wants to wake up early, do homework, take tests, and follow a million rules again? But I also started getting really excited to see my friends and to start learning new things. Don't tell anyone, but I even kindof missed school a little bit!The first day of 5th grade was last week and it was a whirlwind. We have a new English teacher named Ms. Martin. She seems really nice and made me feel welcome right away. Apparently we're going to learn a ton this year to get ready for middle school. We're doing Units 1 and 2 in our English book first. Unit 1 is all about greetings, introductions, and talking about ourselves. Unit 2 teaches us to talk about our daily routines, schedules, and habits. In Unit 1, we've learned how to introduce ourselves in English:"Hello, my name is...""Nice to meet you!""Where are you from?""I'm from..."We've also learned to describe ourselves:"I'm ___ years old.""My favorite color is ___.""My favorite food is ___.""My hobby is ___."It's pretty basic but really important stuff to know. We've practiced introducing ourselves and describing ourselves to our classmates over and over again. I have to admit it's helping me get more confident speaking English clearly. In Unit 2, we're learning how to talk about our daily schedules and routines in English. Stuff like:"I wake up at ___ every morning.""I eat ___ for breakfast.""After breakfast, I ___.""I start school at ___.""I have ___ class at ___ time.""When I get home, I ___.""At night, I ___ before bed."We made posters showing our daily schedules using pictures and times. We also did role plays where we interviewed each other in English about our routines. It was a little nerve-racking to speak only in English, but also really fun and productive practice. So that's what I've been up to recently - a fun summer break followed by the start of a new school year. Even though I'll miss the freedom and laziness of summer, I'm looking forward to learning a ton of new things this year. Judging by Units 1 and 2, this English class is going to be awesome and so helpful. Who knows, maybe I'll be practically fluent in English by the end of 5th grade! A kid can dream, right?Well, that's all for this extremely riveting essay. I need to go crush some English homework now. Thanks for reading, friends! I'll chat with you all again soon.篇6My Amazing English ClassHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm in 5th grade. I just started learning English this year and I have to say, it's been a really cool experience so far! Our textbook is the one used in Hebei Province and we've covered the first two units already. Let me tell you all about it!In the very first unit, we learned how to introduce ourselves in English. It was pretty basic stuff like saying my name, age, where I'm from and so on. But you know what? Even just those simple sentences felt kind of magical because I was speaking a whole new language! My English teacher is really nice too. Her name is Miss Wang and she's super patient with us.One of the first words we learned was "hello." Such a simple word but I remember feeling so excited when I could finally say it properly. Miss Wang had us practice greeting each other and introducing ourselves over and over again. At first it felt a bitweird and awkward, but after a while it started feeling more natural. Then we moved on to numbers. I have to admit, English numbers are kind of confusing at first! The way you say "13" with the "thir-teen" part is just bizarre to my Chinese brain. But we played lots of fun games in class to practice counting and using numbers. My favorite was this balls game where we had to toss balls back and forth while counting out loud. Totally simple but strangely fun!The second unit was all about talking about our families. We learned words like "mother," "father," "sister," "brother," "grandma" and "grandpa." I remember wondering why English has totally different words for your parents versus your grandparents. In Chinese it's just adding "-nai" or "-ye" to the word. Miss Wang explained that it's because English is from a different language family than Chinese. Wild, right? One of the biggest challenges for me in this unit was the different ways of saying "my mother," "your mother," "his mother" and so on. Why so many small words?! Possessive adjectives, Miss Wang called them. Sheesh, English has a ton of extra words! But you know what was really cool? Learning about families from other cultures. For instance, in Vietnam, they literally call their aunts and uncles "father's older sister" or "mother's younger brother." No separate words for aunt or uncle! English is weird but I guess every language has its quirks.Another activity I really enjoyed was drawing a family tree and labeling it in English. I drew my parents, my little brother, my grandparents on both sides, and even my great-grandma who's still around at 92 years old! Introducing my huge family to the class was awesome. A few kids only had parents and siblings on their trees which seemed so small to me. Just goes to show that families come in all shapes and sizes! After learning how to talk about our own families, Miss Wang taught us how to ask questions about other people's families too. Questions like "Do you have any brothers and sisters?" or "How old is your mom?" Honestly, that felt like the biggest milestone so far. I could actually start having basic conversations in English, even if just about family. Wild!Speaking of conversations, Miss Wang had us do these bizarre role-play activities in front of the class. We had to pretend to meet each other, introduce ourselves, ask about families and such. I was pretty nervous the first time but itactually helped a ton! By the end of the unit, simpleback-and-forth convos didn't feel quite so scary. So yeah, that's been my experience learning English so far this year! The first two units covered greeting people, introducing myself, talking about numbers, families, asking questions and having basic exchanges. Sounds pretty boring written down like that but let me tell you, every new word and sentence pattern felt like a tiny victory.I know my English is still pretty terrible and I have a loooong way to go before I can be fluent. But I'm honestly kind of addicted to learning this new language already! The different sounds, the weird grammar rules, exploring how other cultures view family and relationships - it's all so fascinating to me.I can't wait to see what adventures await in the rest of our textbook! Maybe we'll learn about food, hobbies, traveling or who knows what else. All I know is every class opens a little window into how English speakers view and describe the world. It's an awesome new perspective that I never had access to before. My goal is to one day speak, read and write English as well as I can Chinese. Maybe I'll even travel to an English-speaking country someday and put my skills to the real test! For now, I'mjust enjoying riding the wave of each new unit. Bring on units 3, 4, 5 and beyond - I'm ready!。

五年级下册英语书冀教版适合二单元的小作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Title: My Favorite Season is SpringSpring is my favorite season of the year! After the long, cold winter months, spring feels like a fresh start. The world comes back to life, and everything looks and feels so vibrant and new.One of the things I love most about spring is the beautiful weather. The days start to get longer and warmer, with plenty of sunshine. It's not too hot yet, just a nice, comfortable temperature. This makes it perfect for playing outside with my friends after school. We can run around, ride our bikes, and have fun without getting too sweaty or overheated. The changing colors of spring are also really pretty. During winter, everything looks so dull and brown. But in spring, the trees start to grow new green leaves again. Colorful flowers also begin to bloom, like tulips, daffodils, and crocuses. My mom always plants a small flower garden in our backyard, and I love watching the different types of flowers gradually appear. Their bright colors and sweet smells make me so happy.Spring showers are another part of the season that I enjoy. I like the sound of the rain pattering on the roof and windows. The fresh smell of rain is one of my favorite scents. Plus, those spring showers help make everything turn green again after winter. My brother and I sometimes even go out and splash in the rain puddles if it's warm enough! But I think my absolute favorite part of spring is seeing all the baby animals that are born. Fluffy ducklings and chicks are just about the cutest things ever. My family takes a trip to a nearby farm every year, and I always beg my parents to let me hold the tiny baby lambs, piglets, and calves. They're so soft and snuggly! I also love spotting robin's nests full of bright blue eggs in the trees. Watching the baby birds hatch and learn to fly is amazing. Some people might think spring is messy or rainy, but I don't mind at all. To me, the melting snow, muddy puddles, and April showers are all just signs that spring has arrived. The plants, animals, and the whole world feels reborn and full of new life. Spring gives me a sense of hope and excitement for the warm months ahead. That's why it will always be my favorite season of the year.篇2My Best FriendEveryone has a best friend, someone who they can share their secrets with, someone who will always be there for them, no matter what. My best friend's name is Emily, and she's the most wonderful person I know.Emily and I have been friends since we were in kindergarten. We met on the first day of school, and we instantly clicked. We were both shy and a little nervous, but we found comfort in each other's company. From that day on, we were inseparable. One of the things I love most about Emily is her kindness. She's always willing to help others, whether it's helping a classmate with their homework or volunteering at the local animal shelter. She has a big heart and never hesitates to lend a hand to those in need.Emily is also incredibly smart. She's at the top of our class and always gets excellent grades. But she's never boastful or arrogant about it. Instead, she's always happy to help her classmates who are struggling with a particular subject. She's patient and explains things in a way that's easy to understand. But it's not just her intelligence that impresses me. Emily is also incredibly creative. She loves to draw and paint, and herartwork is truly amazing. She has a real talent for capturing the beauty of the world around her. Sometimes, she'll make me a little painting or drawing, and I treasure each one.One of my favorite memories with Emily was when we went on a camping trip with our families a few years ago. We spent the whole weekend exploring the great outdoors, hiking through the woods, and roasting marshmallows over the campfire. It was such a wonderful experience, and I'm so glad I got to share it with my best friend.Emily has been there for me through thick and thin. When I'm feeling sad or lonely, she's always there to cheer me up and remind me of how special I am. And when I'm feeling happy and excited, she's there to celebrate with me and share in my joy.I know that no matter what life throws our way, Emily and I will always be there for each other. Our friendship is truly one of the most precious things in my life, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. In conclusion, Emily is my best friend, and I am so grateful to have her in my life. She's kind, smart, creative, and always there for me when I need her. I know that our friendship will last a lifetime, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us.篇3My Favorite Sport - SoccerSoccer is my absolute favorite sport! I've been playing it since I was really little. My older brother Xiao Ming got me interested in it when I was about 5 years old. He would take me to the park near our house and we would kick the ball around for hours. At first, I wasn't very good and the ball would just kind of bounce off my feet. But Xiao Ming was really patient with me and taught me how to trap the ball, dribble, and shoot.Once I got the hang of the basic skills, I started to really love soccer. I loved running around chasing the ball, trying to get it away from Ming. And I especially loved scoring goals! Whenever I'd kick the ball into the net we had set up, I would jump up and down cheering. Soccer just made me so happy. When I turned 7, my parents signed me up for the local youth soccer league. I was a little nervous at first because I had only played with my brother before. But it ended up being so much fun! The coaches taught us more advanced dribbling moves and strategies for how to work as a team. We did drills to improve our passing and shooting accuracy. My favorite part was the games on Saturdays. There's nothing quite like the feeling of getting out on the field with your teammates, warmed up and ready to take on the other squad. You could feel the excitement and competitive energy in the air. When the whistle blew to start the game, it was like a rush of adrenaline! I loved sprinting up and down the field, calling for passes from my teammates and trying to get open for a shot on goal.In the first couple of seasons, I played more of a defensive position like fullback or midfielder. My job was to win the ball back when we didn't have possession and then distribute it to our forwards. I took a lot of pride in being a defensive stopper and cutting off the other team's attacks. Plus, I loved having the chance to start the offensive play by sending a long pass up the field.Once I got a bit older and more experienced, the coaches started playing me more as a striker. This was my dream position because strikers are the ones who get to do the real scoring! I worked really hard on my shooting skills, practicing different types of shots in my backyard - chips, drives, volleys, you name it. When a game was on the line, there was no bigger thrill thanreceiving the ball in the box and having a chance to bury the game-winner.Some of my most memorable soccer moments were scoring important goals in tight games. One that really sticks out was a playoff match a couple of years ago. It was tied 1-1 in the final minutes and we had worked so hard to get to that point. The ball was crossed into the box and I was able to get a head on it, redirecting it past the keeper and into the corner of the net! My teammates mobbed me in celebration and I just remember feeling pure joy and elation.Another time, I scored in the final seconds to win our team's first tournament championship in overtime. We had battled all day long, advancing through the bracket with tough wins. When we got to the final, it went to extra time still knotted at 0-0. With only a few seconds left, I found myself one-on-one with the goalie and didn't get an amazing shot off. But it had just enough to trickle over the line! I can still picture all my teammates piling on top of me on the field - it's a moment I'll never forget.Soccer has given me so many great memories and valuable life lessons over the years. It taught me about working hard, setting goals, being a good teammate, and never giving up. Some of my closest friends are kids I've played soccer with sincewe were little. We've gone through so much together - tough losses, injuries, incredible wins, and everything in between.Even though I've loved my soccer experience, it hasn't always been easy. There have been times when I've dealt with slumps in my game where I couldn't buy a goal. Or times when I've had disagreements with teammates or coaches. A couple of seasons I even got benched for a stretch because my attitude wasn't great. But overcoming those types of adversities made me stronger andmore resilient. Now that I'm getting a bit older, the soccer schedule is really demanding. Between games, practices, and traveling for tournaments, it takes up a huge amount of time. Sometimes it feels like a grind and I have to sacrifice other things I'd like to do. I've had to become a master at time management between soccer, schoolwork, chores at home, and trying to have a social life! But it's all worth it for me because I know soccer provides so many amazing opportunities. My dream is to one day play soccer at a high level in college and hopefully beyond. I know it will take a ton of hard work and dedication. But I'm willing to put in the effort because I love this game so much. Whenever I step out on the field, I feel truly free and joyful. There's nothing quite like the feeling of making agood play or scoring a big goal. And the camaraderie with my teammates is irreplaceable. For me, soccer isn't just a sport or hobby. It's a passion and a way of life. It's helped shape me into the person I am today. I've gained so much more than just soccer skills from the countless hours I've invested in practicing, training, and competing. This sport has taught me critical life values and made me tougher, more disciplined, and more driven. It's instilled in me a sense of sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance that I'll carry forever. So yeah, soccer is way more than just a game to me. It's my absolute favorite thing in the world and will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm so grateful to have discovered this amazing sport at such a young age. I can't wait to see where the future takes me and how far my talents and love of soccer can propel me in life. But no matter what, you can be sure I'll always make time to go out and have a kick around because, at the end of the day, that's what makes me happiest.篇4My Favorite Season: SpringSpring is my favorite season of the year. It's a time when everything seems to come alive after the long, cold winter months. The world around us starts to wake up, and the air feels fresh and breezy. One of the things I love most about spring is watching the trees and plants slowly turn green again. It's like they're waking up from a long sleep, stretching their branches and leaves towards the warm sunlight. The bare, brown trees that looked lifeless during winter suddenly burst into vibrant shades of green, pink, and white. It's almost magical to witness this transformation. The flowers are another highlight of spring. Crocuses, daffodils, and tulips start popping up, adding splashes of color to the once dull landscapes. Their bright petals and sweet fragrances make me feel happy and energized. I love going for walks with my family and spotting the different types of flowers that have bloomed.Springtime also means the return of many animals that had migrated or hibernated during the winter. Birds start singing their cheerful melodies again, filling the air with their beautiful songs. It's fun to try and identify the different bird calls and watch them build their nests in the trees. One of my favorite spring activities is going to the park and flying kites with my friends. The gentle spring breezes are perfect for kite-flying. We run around, trying to keep our kites soaring high in the sky, laughing and enjoying the warm weather.Another thing I look forward to in spring is the start of baseball season. I love playing catch with my dad in the backyard and practicing my batting and fielding skills. The idea of joining a little league team and playing games with my friends gets me excited every year. One of the best things about spring is the longer daylight hours. After a long, dark winter, the sun stays out later, giving us more time to play outside after school and enjoy the warmth. My friends and I love riding our bikes around the neighborhood, exploring the parks, and simply basking in the sunshine.Spring also brings many fun holidays and celebrations. Easter is a special time when we get to decorate eggs, go on egg hunts, and enjoy lots of delicious treats. There's also Mother's Day, where we get to honor and appreciate our amazing moms with homemade cards, gifts, and quality time together.Overall, spring is a season full of new beginnings, growth, and excitement. It's a time when the world comes back to life, and we can shed our winter coats and enjoy the great outdoorsonce again. From the blooming flowers to the longer days and warmer temperatures, spring is a season that fills me with happiness and joy. I can't wait for it to arrive every year!篇5My Fun School LifeHi there! I'm a fifth-grade student, and I love my life at school. There's always something fun and exciting happening, and I've made so many great friends. Let me tell you all about it!First of all, my favorite part of the school day is English class.I love learning new words and phrases, and speaking English with my classmates is super cool. Our English teacher, Miss Lee, is awesome. She makes the lessons really interesting by having us play games, sing songs, and do fun activities. Just last week, we had a competition to see who could make the funniest dialogue using new vocabulary words we'd learned. My best friend Tom and I won! We got to pick a treat from Miss Lee's prize box.Another subject I really enjoy is art. I've always loved drawing, painting, and being creative. In art class, we get to experiment with all sorts of different materials like clay, watercolors, and even recycled objects to make sculptures. Myfavorite project so far was when we had to design and create our own superhero character out of papier-mâché. I made a superhero called "Recycle Girl" who could turn trash into useful objects with her powers. The art teacher, Mr. Wang, was really impressed and displayed my sculpture in the school lobby. I felt so proud! At lunchtime, the cafeteria is always buzzing with energy. I love seeing what yummy dishes the lunch ladies have prepared for us each day. From steaming hot noodle bowls to fresh veggie stir-fries, there's such a tasty variety. My friends and I have a competition to see who can use the coolest English words to describe the different foods. Words like "scrumptious," "mouthwatering," and "delectable" always earn us high marks from our English teacher when she overhears us.After lunch, we get to go out for recess and let off some steam. The playground is giant with all sorts of fun equipment like swings, seesaws, and climbing structures. Tommy, one of the boys in my class, is an expert at racing down the gigantic curly slide. I'm always impressed by how brave and fast he is! My favorite activity is playing four square with a big group of friends in the basketball court area. We get very competitive but alwaysin a friendly way. Sometimes I'll shout encouraging words in English to my teammates like "You've got this!" or "Nice shot!"In the afternoons, we have more great classes like science, where we get to do experiments, and social studies, where we learn about different cultures from around the world. I'll never forget the time we got to sample food from Mexico like tacos and churros in social studies. My mouth waters just thinking about it! We also go to PE, music, and computer classes throughout the week which are super fun.One of the highlights of going to this school is all the cool after-school activities we can join. There are clubs for everything from robotics to drama to basketball. I'm a part of the school newspaper club where we write articles, take photos, and do all the fun jobs it takes to create our monthly paper. Getting to interview students and teachers is my favorite part. I love practicing my English conversation skills and hearing all the interesting stories people share.Another fun part of being at this school is the amazing events we get to participate in throughout the year. Around Christmas time, we have a schoolwide talent show where students can perform skits, dances, magic shows—you name it! Last year, my friends and I wrote and performed a short playentirely in English about a group of kids searching for Santa's lost reindeer. We worked so hard on our lines, props, and costumes, and we were thrilled when the audience gave us a huge round of applause at the end.In the spring, we have Science Fair where students get to design their own experiments and displays on different scientific topics. My favorite project last year was called "The Awesome Air Cannon" where you could launch little projectiles across the room just by using force from compressed air. It was so neat! I'll never forget the proud feeling of standing next to my project while visitors asked me questions about how it worked.Around Easter time, the school organizes a big egg hunt where teachers hide little treat-filled eggs all around the campus grounds. We have to follow clues and scramble to find as many eggs as we can. The kids who find the most eggs win big prizes. One year, I was one of the lucky winners and got an enormous chocolate bunny—I was in sugar heaven! In the last few weeks of the school year, we always have a sports tournament with fun activities like relay races, tug-of-war, and water balloon tosses. The competition between classes gets pretty intense, but it's all in good fun. My class has been reigning champions for the past two years thanks to our teamwork andspirit. This year, I'm determined to lead my class to another victory as captain of the relay team. I'll be shouting motivational chants in English to keep everyone's energy up.I could keep going with so many more examples of why my school is awesome, but I'll stop here. As you can see, every day is packed with excitement, learning, and opportunities to have fun with friends. We work hard, but we also get to be kids. I feel so lucky to be a student here making amazing memories that will last forever. School life is the best!篇6My Favorite Season Is SummerSummer is my favorite season of the year! I love the warm sunny days, being out of school, and all the fun activities to do. Let me tell you why I enjoy summer so much.First of all, the weather in summer is amazing. Where I live, it gets really hot, like over 30°C or even 35°C some days. That's super hot! My friends and I love to go to the swimming pool or the lake to cool off. Splashing around in the cool water is the best way to beat the heat. We have big water balloon fights too, which is hilarious when we all get completely soaked. At night, it's nice to sit outside and feel the warm breeze. I love how longthe days are in summer - the sun doesn't go down until around 8pm! That gives us so much time to play outside after dinner.Next, being out of school for summer break is the greatest feeling ever. No more waking up early, no homework, no tests to study for. We get a nice long break away from teachers and classrooms for a couple of months. Don't get me wrong, I actually like school for the most part. But everyone needs a break sometimes, and summer is our chance to recharge. I get to sleep in late, hang out with friends, and do whatever activities I want. My mom gets a little annoyed when I stay up late and sleep until noon, but that's what summer is for - relaxing! No schedule, no routine, just pure freedom. There are so many fun seasonal activities unique to summer too. My family loves to have backyard barbecues and makes'mores around the fire pit. We go camping and hiking in the forests and mountains nearby. Stargazing on warm summer nights is beautiful too. Sometimes we go strawberry picking at the local farms. Those fresh strawberries are delicious! And of course, no summer is complete without heading to the beach. I love building sandcastles, playing frisbee, collecting seashells, and jumping over the waves in the ocean. The beach is where all my best summer memories are made.Summer also means lots of exciting events and festivals in my town. There are outdoor concerts, carnivals, fireworks shows, and parades. My favorite is the annual summer fair that happens every July. They have rides, games, food stands, talent shows, and more. I go on all the crazy roller coasters and try to win prizes at the game booths. I always leave stuffed from eating too much cotton candy, caramel apples, and funnel cakes! Yum! There are also a bunch of sports camps, art camps, and other activities for kids happening in summer. I usually attend a few each year to stay busy and learn new skills. But overall, the pros of summer definitely outweigh the cons for me. Summer is a fun, carefree time to make lots of happy memories. I'll always cherish those long, sun-filled days of swimming, camping, traveling, and nonstop playing with friends. Summer is when I have the most adventures and awesome experiences each year. That's why summer will always be my favorite season! I can't wait for school to let out so I can enjoy another amazing summer. Here's hoping for lots of sun, fun, and no rain! What's your favorite season and why?。

英语第一单元冀教版五年级下册,会出的作文

英语第一单元冀教版五年级下册,会出的作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Certainly! Here's an essay in English, around 2000 words, written from a student's perspective, suitable for the first unit of the Grade 5 English textbook (Jijiao Edition, Volume 2):Title: My Unforgettable Summer VacationIt was the last day of school before summer vacation, and I couldn't wait to bid farewell to endless homework and exams. As the final bell rang, signaling the start of our two-month break, my classmates and I cheered with joy, exchanging high-fives and making plans for the long-awaited summer ahead. The first few days of vacation were spent lounging around, catching up on my favorite TV shows, and playing video games until late into the night. However, after a week of pure laziness, I started to feel restless. That's when my mom suggested we take a trip to my grandparents' farm in the countryside.I wasn't thrilled about the idea at first, but mom insisted it would be a valuable experience for me. She said it would help mereconnect with nature and learn about the importance of hard work and self-sufficiency. Reluctantly, I agreed, though I had no idea how much that trip would impact me.The journey to my grandparents' farm was long, and the winding country roads made me carsick. But as we approached our destination, the fresh air and picturesque landscapes rejuvenated me. The farm was nestled in a tranquil valley, surrounded by rolling hills and lush forests.Grandma and Grandpa welcomed us with open arms and huge smiles. They had prepared a delicious feast of homegrown vegetables and freshly baked bread. As we sat around the table, they regaled us with stories of their youth and the challenges they faced when they first started farming. The next morning, Grandpa woke me up at the crack of dawn. "Time to get up, sonny," he said in his thick country accent. "We've got a lot of work to do today." I groaned, but Grandpa insisted that early mornings were a farmer's way of life.Over the following weeks, I learned the ropes of farm life. Grandpa taught me how to tend to the crops, feed the animals, and maintain the equipment. It was hard work, but there was a sense of satisfaction in seeing the fruits of our labor. One of my favorite tasks was collecting eggs from the chicken coop. The chickens would scurry around, clucking and flapping their wings, as I carefully reached into the nests to retrieve the warm, freshly laid eggs.In the evenings, Grandma would teach me how to cook using the farm's bountiful produce. We made delicious pies from the ripe berries, and hearty stews from the freshly harvested vegetables. Grandma's cooking was simple yet flavorful, and she taught me the importance of using natural, locally sourced ingredients. As the weeks went by, I developed a newfound appreciation for the hard work and dedication required to run a farm. I also learned valuable lessons about sustainability, respecting the environment, and living in harmony with nature. One of the highlights of my stay was the annual county fair. Grandpa entered some of his prize-winning fruits and vegetables in the competition, and I got to help set up the display. It was exciting to see so many people admiring our hard work and appreciating the bounty of the land.On our last evening at the farm, Grandpa took me for a walk through the fields. The sun was setting, casting a warm, golden glow over the crops. Grandpa stopped and put his arm aroundme. "You know, sonny," he said, "this land has been in our family for generations. It's not just a farm; it's a way of life."As we watched the sun dip below the horizon, I realized how privileged I was to have experienced this connection to the earth and to my family's roots. The lessons I learned on the farm would stay with me forever, shaping my values and perspectives on life.On the drive back home, I felt a bittersweet mixture of sadness and gratitude. I was sad to leave the tranquility of the farm, but grateful for the invaluable experiences and memories I had made. As the city skyline came into view, I vowed to hold on to the lessons I had learned and to carry them with me wherever life took me.That summer on the farm was truly unforgettable. It taught me the importance of hard work, respect for nature, and the value of family traditions. It was a reminder that sometimes, the most meaningful experiences can be found in the simplest of places, far from the distractions of modern life. And for that, I will always be grateful.篇2My Favorite Season - SummerSummer is finally here! This is definitely my favorite time of the year. I look forward to the warm weather, long days and all the fun activities that come with summer vacation from school. Let me tell you about some of the reasons why I love this season so much.To start with, the weather is absolutely beautiful in my town during the summer months. The temperatures are nice and hot, usually between 25-30°C (77-86°F). This is perfect weather for spending lots of time outside. After the cold winter, it feels so good to be able to go out in just a t-shirt and shorts. The sun stays out for a very long time too, not setting until after 8pm. This gives me and my friends many hours of daylight to be active and play outside after finishing any homework in the evenings. My favorite outdoor activity is swimming at the local pool or river. There is a big community pool not far from my house that has slides, diving boards and a separate kiddie pool area. I love packing a lunch and some snacks then spending the whole day there swimming, playing pool games and working on my tan. Some days we head to the river on the edge of town instead. The water is colder and quicker flowing, but it's still lots of fun to splash around and cool off. No matter which spot we choose, being in the water is definitely the best way to beat the summer heat.Another great thing about summer is going on fun trips and vacations. Every year my family goes camping for at least a week in the mountains. We pack up tents, sleeping bags, food and other supplies then go hiking and exploring in the forests. I love roasting marshmallows over the campfire in the evenings and stargazing at all the bright stars you can see from our remote campsites. On other summers we'll go to the beach instead and make sandcastles, swim in the ocean waves and collect cool seashells. Any chance I get to travel to new places is exciting!Even when I'm just staying around town, there always seems to be lots of fun events and activities happening during the summer months. The community center organizes sports camps, art classes, day trips and other programs to keep kids busy and active. My neighborhood friends and I spend many days riding our bikes to the park or playground together. We have basketball, badminton and even water balloon fights when it gets really hot out. Some evenings we'll put on talent shows or outdoor movie nights in someone's backyard. With so much free time away from school, we can really use our creativity andimaginations for playing games and making our own entertainment. As you can probably tell, I really cherish these sunny, warm summer months and all the opportunities for fun they bring. From splashing in the water and going on vacations, to sleeping late and playing outside with friends, this season allows me to recharge and make so many happy memories. The only downside is that summer has to eventually come to an end as the autumn chill returns. But I'll be sure to soak up every moment while it lasts! Maybe I'll even get a head start on that summer reading for next year...yeah, probably not. A kid can dream though, right? Here's to making the most of this summer while it's here!篇3My Favorite HolidayHolidays are always something to look forward to. They're a time when we can take a break from our usual routine and do something special. Out of all the holidays celebrated throughout the year, my favorite has to be the Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year. The Spring Festival is a time of great joy and excitement for me and my family. We start preparing for it weeks in advance, cleaning our house from top to bottom to get rid of any bad luck from the previous year. My mom always makes sure to decorate our home with beautiful red lanterns, intricate paper cuttings, and upside-down fu characters, which symbolize good fortune. One of the things I love most about the Spring Festival is the delicious food! My grandma is an amazing cook, and she always makes her specialty, jiaozi (dumplings). The entire family gathers in the kitchen to help her prepare them. We mix the dough, roll it out into thin circles, and then carefully stuff each one with a savory filling of pork, cabbage, and seasonings. It's a long process, but it's so much fun to do together. And of course, the end result is absolutely delicious!Another highlight of the Spring Festival is the vibrant displays of fireworks that light up the sky. On New Year's Eve, my family and I always go outside to watch the spectacular show. The bright colors burst and crackle in the night air, and the loud bangs echo all around us. It's a bit scary at first, but also thrilling and exciting. We make sure to set off a few fireworks of our own, too, as it's believed to scare away any lingering evil spirits.Probably my favorite tradition, though, is receiving red envelopes filled with lucky money from my parents and grandparents. It's such a kind gesture, and it always makes me feel special. I save up the money throughout the year and use it to buy something I really want or need. The Spring Festival is also a time for family reunions. My extended family members, who live in different cities or even other countries, make the journey back home to celebrate together. It's the one time of year when we're all under one roof, catching up, laughing, and making new memories. I cherish these moments deeply because I know how precious they are.As the festivities come to a close, we bid farewell to the old year and welcome in the new one with open arms. It's a time of renewal, fresh beginnings, and endless possibilities. I always feel a sense of hope and excitement for what the new year will bring. The Spring Festival is more than just a holiday to me – it's a cherished tradition that connects me to my cultural roots and brings my family closer together. It's a time of joy, celebration, and creating lasting memories that I'll treasure forever. That's why, out of all the holidays celebrated throughout the year, the Spring Festival will always be my favorite.篇4My Big DreamHi there! I'm so excited to share with you my biggest dream. It might sound a little crazy, but I've been thinking about it a lot lately, and I can't stop imagining how amazing it would be if it came true. You see, ever since I was a little kid, I've always been fascinated by the idea of space travel. I remember spending hours staring up at the night sky, mesmerized by the twinkling stars and wondering what it would be like to explore the vast unknown. I used to read every book I could find about astronauts and their incredible adventures, and I even had a poster of the first moon landing hanging above my bed.As I grew older, my fascination only deepened. I started learning about the different planets in our solar system, and I was blown away by how much there was still to discover. I mean, can you imagine what it would be like to set foot on Mars? Or to gaze upon the rings of Saturn with your own eyes? Just thinking about it sends shivers down my spine. But my dream doesn't stop there. You see, I don't just want to explore our solar system – I want to go even further. I want tobe part of the first manned mission to another galaxy. I know it sounds crazy, but hear me out. With the rapid advancements in technology, scientists are already developing faster-than-light travel capabilities. They're working on something called a "warp drive," which could theoretically allow us to bend the fabric of space-time and travel incredible distances in a relatively short amount of time. And while it might still be a few decades away, I truly believe that within my lifetime, we'll have the ability to reach other galaxies. Can you imagine what that would be like? To be the first human being to set foot on a planet in another galaxy? To gaze upon stars and celestial bodies that no one has ever seen before? It's mind-boggling to even think about.I know it might seem like a pipe dream, but I truly believe that if we set our minds to it, anything is possible. After all, not too long ago, the idea of humans walking on the moon was nothing more than a fantasy. And yet, through perseverance, determination, and a whole lot of hard work, we made it happen. So why not aim even higher? Why not push the boundaries of what we thought was possible and venture out into the great unknown? I know it won't be easy, but that's what makes it so thrilling.Imagine being part of the team that makes history. Imagine being one of the first humans to set foot on an alien world, to breathe in its atmosphere, and to gaze upon its strange and wondrous landscapes. Imagine the sense of accomplishment, the pride, and the sheer awe of being part of something so monumental.I can see it all so clearly in my mind's eye. The excitement of the launch, the anticipation of the journey, and the indescribable feeling of finally arriving at our destination. And then, stepping out onto that alien soil, feeling the ground beneath my feet and looking up at an unfamiliar sky, filled with stars and celestial bodies that no human has ever seen before. It's enough to take my breath away just thinking about it.But that's what makes it so exciting! That's what makes it worth striving for. Because if we can accomplish something as audacious as this, just imagine what else might be possible. So that's my dream, my friends. To be part of the first manned mission to another galaxy, to boldly go where no one has gone before, and to push the boundaries of human exploration to their absolute limits. It might seem like a crazy dream, but hey, aren't those the best kinds? And who knows, maybe one day, you'll look up at the night sky and see a familiar face peering back at you from a distant galaxy, waving hello and inviting you to join in on the adventure of a lifetime. So what do you say? Are you with me? Let's make history together!篇5My Favorite Season - SummerSummer is my absolute favorite season of the year! It's the time when school is out, and we get to enjoy long, sunny days filled with fun activities and adventures. Let me tell you why I love summer so much.First of all, the weather during summer is simply perfect. The warm temperatures and bright sunshine make it ideal for spending time outdoors. I love being able to wear shorts andt-shirts without having to bundle up in heavy coats and scarves. It's a great feeling to have the sun's rays warming your skin and a gentle breeze caressing your face. One of the best things about summer is the abundance of outdoor activities available. My friends and I love to go swimming at the local pool or lake. There's nothing quite like diving into the cool, refreshing water on a hot summer day. We also enjoy riding our bikes around the neighborhood, playing basketball or soccer at the park, and having picnics or barbecues with our families.Another reason I adore summer is the delicious seasonal fruits and vegetables that are available. Juicy watermelons, ripe tomatoes, sweet corn on the cob, and plump blueberries are just a few of my favorites. My mom often takes me to the farmer's market, and we stock up on all the fresh produce. She then makes scrumptious salads, smoothies, and other healthy treats for us to enjoy.Summer also means school's out, and that means no homework, no tests, and no early morning alarms! I get to sleep in as late as I want and stay up watching movies or playing video games with my friends. It's a time of freedom and relaxation, without the stress of schoolwork hanging over my head. However, as much as I love summer, there are a few downsides that I should mention. The intense heat can sometimes be unbearable, especially when there's no airconditioning or pool to cool off in. Bugs like mosquitoes and flies can also be annoying when you're trying to enjoy a picnic or outdoor activity. And let's not forget about the dreaded summer reading assignments that teachers often give us!Despite these minor drawbacks, summer will always be my favorite season. It's a time of joy, freedom, and adventure. I cherish the opportunity to create lasting memories with my family and friends, and I look forward to the next summer vacation with great anticipation. So, whether you're splashing in the pool, munching on a juicy watermelon, or embarking on a family road trip, make the most of this amazing season. Soak up the sunshine, embrace the carefree spirit, and create your own summer adventures that you'll remember for years to come.篇6My Wonderful FamilyFamily is the most important thing in my life. I have a big, loving family that brings me so much joy and happiness every single day. Let me tell you all about them!I live with my mom, dad, older brother Jack, younger sister Emily, and our dog Buddy. My parents are the best - they work really hard to provide for us and always make sure we have everything we need. Even though they're busy with their jobs, they never miss any of our school activities or sports games. My mom is so caring and supportive. She's always there to listen if I'm having a bad day or need to talk about something that's bothering me. She gives the best hugs too! My mom works as a nurse at the hospital downtown. I admire how hard she works to help others and make people feel better when they're sick.My dad is the funniest person I know. He's always cracking jokes and doing silly voices to make us laugh. He works in an office but when he comes home, he tells us about the funny things that happened during his day. My dad also loves sports - he coaches my baseball team and is always kicking around a soccer ball with me and Jack in the backyard.Jack is two years older than me and acts like a typical annoying big brother sometimes. But he's actually really cool and looks out for me a lot. He helps me with my math homework when I get stuck and gives me video game tips. Jack and I share aroom and even though we fight over silly things like leaving socks on the floor, we're best friends. My little sister Emily is six years old and absolutely adorable. She's obsessed with Frozen and anything Disney princess-related. Emily follows me around everywhere and always wants to play babies or house with her dolls. As annoying as her constant questions can be, I love her to pieces. We have so much fun together making up games and being silly. And then there's Buddy, our big goofy golden retriever dog. He's basically another sibling who just happens to have fur and four legs instead of two! Buddy is a bundle of energy and loves going for walks, chasing squirrels in the backyard, and cuddling up on the couch with all of us for movie nights. We got Buddy when I was five and he's been our faithful friend ever since. On the weekends, my whole family loves spending time together. In the summer, we go to the beach or have backyard barbecues. During the fall, we go apple picking and on hikes to see the colorful leaves. Winters are for sledding, building snowmen, and drinking hot chocolate. No matter the season, we always find fun activities to do as a family. But my favorite tradition is our big family dinner every Sunday night. My mom makes everyone's favorite foods like herfamous spaghetti and meatballs or barbecue chicken with mashed potatoes. We all help set the table and then sit down to eat together. It's the one time of the week when we can relax, catch up on each other's lives, and just enjoy being around each other without any other distractions.Sometimes my parents will tell embarrassing stories about me or Jack as little kids which is so cringey but also really sweet. We laugh a ton during our family dinners. Emily usually ends up wearing more food than actually eating it. And Buddy lies under the table hoping for scraps to drop his way. At the end of the night, we're all stuffed and happy. Those are some of my most cherished memories. My family may be a little crazy at times, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I feel so incredibly lucky to be part of such a loving, supportive, and fun family. We might not have a lot of money or live in a huge house, but we have everything we need - each other. The endless laughs, unconditional love, and special moments we share every day are the greatest gifts. To me, family means feeling safe, supported, and cared for no matter what. It means having people in your life who love you for who you are. It means making wonderful memories that will stay with you forever. So while other kids might not understand why I'm so close with my family, I wouldn't trade my "annoying" brother, "pesky" little sister, or any of our silly traditions for the world. This is my family and I love them with all my heart. They've shaped me into the person I am today and I'll be forever grateful for that.。

第二单元作文英语,五年级下册冀教
第二单元作文英语,五年级下册冀教全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Awesome Summer VacationThis summer was the best summer ever! I had so much fun and did a ton of cool stuff. Let me tell you all about it.It started on the last day of school. I was so excited for summer to begin. As soon as the final bell rang, I raced out of the classroom, said goodbye to my friends, and hurried home. My mom had promised we could go get ice cream to celebrate the start of summer vacation. She took me to my favorite place, the Sweet Treat Creamery downtown. I got a huge banana split sundae with three scoops - chocolate, strawberry, and mint chocolate chip. It was delicious! The next few weeks, I just hung out at home a lot. I slept in late every morning since I didn't have to wake up early for school.I played tons of video games and watched cartoons and movies. It was awesome to have zero responsibilities for a while. My parents let me stay up late too, way past my normal bedtime. Wehad frequent family movie nights with popcorn and candy. Those were really fun bonding times.Around the 4th of July, we went to my aunt and uncle's house about an hour away for a big holiday party. All my cousins were there too. In their backyard, we ran around playing games like tag and hide-and-seek. My uncle manned the grill, cooking up burgers and hot dogs. At night after it got dark, he let us light off fireworks in their field which was so cool! We shot off Roman candles, bottle rockets, fountains, and more. I loved all the bright colors exploding in the sky. We made s'mores around the fire pit too. It was one of the most fun 4th of July celebrations I can remember.A couple weeks later, my family went on our biggest summer trip – we drove out to Colorado to go hiking and camping in the Rocky Mountains! The drive took a really long time, like 2 full days of driving. But it was worth it once we arrived at Rocky Mountain National Park. The scenery was breathtaking with those massive, snow-capped mountains surrounding us. We tent camped for 4 nights at a campground right inside the park. Each day, we went on awesome hikes through the wilderness. We saw amazing things like rushing waterfalls, crystal clear lakes, friendly chipmunks and squirrels, and even a herd of elk!One day, we did a really strenuous hike called the Glacier Gorge Trail that went up into the alpine zone high above the treeline. It was over 6 miles round trip, and we had to work really hard climbing over rocky, slippery terrain. We gained over 1,000 feet in elevation! But once we got to the top, the views were unbelievable of the shimmering glaciers and jagged mountain peaks all around us. It was frosty cold up there, but in a refreshing way. We had packed a picnic lunch, so we sat on some rocks and ate our sandwiches while taking in the remarkable scenery. I'll never forget that day – it was challenging but so rewarding too.Another super fun part of our Colorado trip was whitewater rafting down the Cache la Poudre River. Our family, along with a guide, got into a big inflatable raft. Then we went splashing through the fast-moving rapids, getting totally soaked from the frigid river spray. At times it was scary when we hit some huge waves, but our guide knew just how to navigate us through safely. We all had to paddle hard together as a team too. There was one really big rapid drop where we plunged down over a waterfall-like steep area. For those few seconds, we were just free-falling and slamming into the churning whitewater below. It was an incredible adrenaline rush! But luckily our life jackets keptus secure in the raft. That rafting trip was one of the biggest highlights and most exhilarating things I've ever done. The rest of the summer after returning from Colorado was lower key, but still fun. We took day trips to amusement parks, swimming pools, mini golf courses, and stuff like that. My friend Cody had a birthday pool party at his house which was a blast. And I went to the movie theater several times to see all the big summer blockbuster films that came out.Probably my favorite thing I did though was attend a week-long coding camp put on by the local college. Each day, professional instructors taught us the basics of computer programming and we worked on creating our own simple apps, games, and websites step-by-step. It was really interesting to learn about coding languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and more. I made a basic platformer video game featuring a character I designed myself. And I coded a personal website with info about my hobbies and interests. The coding camp helped reinforce my interest in possibly pursuing computer science or a tech career later on.篇2My Favorite SportSports are a huge part of my life. I love playing all kinds of games and being active. If I had to pick my absolute favorite sport though, it would definitely be basketball. Basketball is the best!I first started playing basketball when I was in 2nd grade. My parents signed me up for a local youth league. At first, I was pretty bad. I could barely dribble the ball without losing control篇3My Awesome Summer VacationSummer vacation is the best time of the year! No school, no homework, just pure freedom to have fun adventures every day. This past summer was one I'll never forget. I went on an amazing trip with my family and made so many incredible memories. It all started when my dad surprised us by saying we were going on a big road trip to Yellowstone National Park! I had learned about Yellowstone in school and couldn't wait to see it in person. We packed up our trusty minivan with all our camping gear and snacks for the long drive. The first couple days were spent just driving across the country. We took turns picking fun roadside attractions to stopat along the way. There was the World's Largest Fork sculpture, a museum all about toilets, and my personal favorite - the Biggest Ball of Twine you've ever seen! We played road trip games like I-Spy and made up silly songs to pass the time too. Finally, we made it to the gates of Yellowstone National Park! The guy at the entrance gave us a big map and circled all the must-see spots. Our first stop was the famous Old Faithful geyser. We staked out a spot on the viewing benches and waited for it to erupt. Right on schedule, Old Faithful blasted a huge tower of steaming hot water hundreds of feet into the air! The power of the eruption was mind-blowing.Next up, we went hiking on some trails to see the stunning mountain scenery and wildlife. We spotted elk, bison, and even a black bear from a safe distance! The bear was digging in a field looking for tasty roots and berries to snack on. One of the highlights was seeing the colorful Grand Prismatic Spring, with its vivid rainbow rings in the water. The water was almost too bright to look at directly. For a few nights, we stayed at a campground inside the park. We cooked hot dogs and s'mores over the campfire, sang silly songs, and went stargazing at night. There were more stars in the sky than I had ever seen before! We heard the haunting calls ofwolves and other nighttime critters too. Sleeping in our tent under the tall pine trees was an adventure. One morning, we went horseback riding on a trail ride through the backcountry of Yellowstone. The wrangler taught us how to mount our horses and gave basic instructions. At first my horse seemed huge, but I quickly got used to riding him. His name was Buddy and he was a gentle giant. We got to see parts of the park that were unreachable except by horseback. The views took my breath away.No trip to Yellowstone would be complete without a stop at the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone! We hiked along the north rim trail, peering over the edge at the powerful Yellowstone River far below us. The canyon went on as far as the eye could see, with its yellows, reds, and oranges painting the rocky cliffs. A dusting of snow still capped some of the highest peaks in the distance. All too soon, our week in Yellowstone came to an end. We took a final drive through Hayden Valley, seeing huge herds of bison grazing. A few little baby bison calves were walking beside their mamas - so cute! I wished our vacation would never end.The drive home seemed to take forever after such an epic trip. We talked nonstop about our favorite memories and made plans for our next big family adventure. Maybe next summerwe'll go whitewater rafting in the Grand Canyon or explore the rocky coastlines in Maine! Wherever we go, I know we'll make more amazing memories together. This was a summer I'll never forget.篇4My Favorite HolidayThe holiday I look forward to the most every year is Spring Festival! Spring Festival is the Chinese New Year and it's a really big celebration in my family. We have so many fun traditions and delicious foods during this special time. One of the most exciting parts is getting new red envelopes with lucky money inside from my parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. The red color symbolizes good luck and happiness. I always try to save up at least some of the money, but it's hard not to spend it all on toys, games or treats!Another fun tradition is helping my mom make dumplings. She lets me crimp the edges to seal them shut. We make pork and vegetable dumplings, but my favorite are definitely the ones stuffed with fresh shrimp. Yum! Dumplings are said to look like ingots of gold or silver, which symbolizes wealth in the new year.On New Year's Eve, our whole family gathers together for a huge feast with all kinds of auspicious dishes. We have a fish course because the Chinese word for fish sounds like the word for surplus or abundance. So it represents having more than enough in the coming year. There are also plates of sweet lotus root, bamboo shoots, chicken and so much more. I can never finish it all, I'm always so stuffed! After our big meal, the kids get to stay up late. We watch the New Year's Gala on TV which has singing, dancing, comedy skits, magic shows and more. At midnight, we open the door to let the new year in. Then we light sparklers and set off firecrackers in the street to scare away evil spirits. The loud noises and bright lights are so exciting! My absolutely favorite part though is getting hong bao - red envelopes with cash inside as gifts from my family. I have to be sure to say thanks and wish them good luck and happiness in return. The money is supposed to protect me from evil spirits in the new year. The next day, we get up early and put on brand new clothes from head to toe to symbolize starting fresh. My grandparents give me extra cash for new year if I recite poems or sayings for them. I always try my best so I can get that bonus money!Later in the day, we go visit my aunts, uncles and cousins who live nearby. Their houses are decorated with upside down fu symbols for good luck as well as red lanterns and papercuttings. We eat sunflower and pumpkin seeds, snacks like melon seeds, and drink hot tea as we catch up. It's wonderful seeing my whole extended family. The celebration goes on for two full weeks! We watch dragon and lion dances performed in the streets and parks. The dragons are so colorful and dancers move them to look like they areslithering and breathing fire. The lion dances are meant to bring good luck and scare evil spirits away too.On the 15th day of the new year, we have the Lantern Festival. We hang up bright red lanterns and walk in the parks to see all the lantern displays and eat sticky rice balls called yuanxiao. There are huge lanterns in the shapes of animals, flowers and legendary figures. Some of them even move or have bright lights inside. Simply amazing! My grandparents say the lanterns symbolize letting go of the past year and moving forward to a bright new future full of hope.I always write a wish on my lantern before hanging it up, hoping it will come true in the days ahead.Spring Festival is such a happy, joyful time filled with meaningful customs, yummy foods and quality family bonding. We get to take a break from school and work to just celebrate being together. I cherish all the special memories we make year after year. When I'm older, I look forward to carrying on these traditions with my own family someday. It truly is the most wonderful holiday!篇5My Favorite SeasonSummer is my absolute favorite season of the year! I love the warm weather, fun activities, and long days off from school. When summer arrives, I feel so excited and free. The very best part of summer is the hot temperatures. After being bundled up in coats and scarves all winter long, it feels amazing to finally wear shorts and t-shirts again. I love being able to run around outside without shivering. My friends and I spend hours playing at the park or swimming at the pool. The sunshine feels so nice on my face and bare legs. Sometimes it gets a little too hot, but that's what lemonade and popsicles are for!Another great thing about summer is getting to sleep in late instead of waking up early for school. No more rushing to catch the bus or feeling tired during morning classes. I can stay up late watching movies or reading comics without worrying about being a zombie the next day. There's nothing better than slowly waking up to the bright sun peeking through my bedroom blinds. Knowing I can lazily laze around in my pajamas for as long as I want is true bliss. With no school, my days are wide open for fun activities and adventures. Some summers we go on amazing family road trips, piling into our car stuffed with snacks and suitcases. Other summers we stay closer to home, but I still get to go to the beach, amusement parks, outdoor concerts, and more. Every day is different and exciting. I'll never forget the time we went camping and saw a mother deer and her two little fawns quietly munching on leaves just a few feet away. Or the summer my friend's family rented a lake house and we spent an entire week swimming, fishing, and roasting marshmallows over the campfire after the sun went down. Those are the kinds of magical memories that last forever.Even just hanging out at home is more fun during the summer months. My neighborhood friends and I have set uplemonade stands, put on backyard carnivals and talent shows, and operated kid car washes to earn some spending money. We ride our bikes everywhere, explore the creek behind the houses, and come back home with grass-stained clothes and gigantic smiles. Sometimes we concoct elaborate make-believe games that last for days or weeks at a time. Like the time we pretended to run a zoo for stuffed animals and made intricate habitats all over the treehouse and backyard. Our imaginations can run wild since we have freed up from homework and extracurriculars.Summer also means lots of yummy warm weather foods that we don't get the rest of the year. Juicy watermelon slices, salty potato chips, sweet ice cream cones, gooey s'mores, and sizzling hamburgers fresh off the grill. My family loves to fire up the backyard barbecue on summer nights. The smell of steak and veggies cooking makes my mouth water. We eat our meals at the outdoor patio table, listening to the crickets and cicadas singing. For dessert, we often have a bonfire in our fire pit and roast marshmallows until they are golden brown on the outside and melty on the inside. As you can probably tell, I absolutely adore the summer season! From the thrilling activities to the delightful foods to therelaxing pace, summer is my happy place. When it starts getting chilly and the school supplies go on篇6My Favorite SuperheroesI love superheroes! They are so cool and brave. They use their amazing powers to fight evil villains and protect innocent people. My favorite superheroes are Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Wonder Woman.Spider-Man is awesome because he can climb up walls and ceilings like a real spider. He shoots webs from his wrist-shooters that are super strong and sticky. Spider-Man uses these webs to tie up bad guys or swing from building to building around New York City. His real name is Peter Parker and he got his spider powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider on a field trip. Even though he has to keep his identity a secret, Spider-Man always tries his best to help people in danger.Iron Man is another one of my favorite superheroes. His real name is Tony Stark and he is a genius inventor and billionaire. Iron Man wears a special iron suit that he invented himself. The suit allows him to fly using repulsor jets and has all kinds of awesome weapons like repulsor rays and missiles. Iron Man useshis suit and inventions to protect the world from evil threats. My favorite thing about Iron Man is his awesome technology and gadgets.Wonder Woman is an amazing superhero from the Amazon island of Themyscira. She is a fierce warrior with incredible strength, speed, and fighting abilities. Wonder Woman has an indestructible lasso that forces anyone caught in it to tell the truth. She also has bullet-proof bracelets that she uses to deflect attacks. I admire how brave and powerful Wonder Woman is. She does not let anything stop her from fighting for justice and peace. In addition to their amazing powers, I really look up to these superheroes because of their strong moral values. Spider-Man always puts the safety of civilians first before anything else. "With great power, comes great responsibility" is his most famous quote. Iron Man overcame his selfishness and greed to become a force for good in the world. He now uses his inventions to protect people instead of making weapons. Wonder Woman is a protector who believes in love and peace. She inspires me to always strive to do what is right. If I could become a superhero for a day, I think I would choose to be Spider-Man. It would be so cool to be able to climbwalls and swing from skyscrapers around the city. I would use my spider powers to sneak up on bullies at school and trap them in webs so they couldn't pick on other kids anymore. AsSpider-Man, I could also stop any bank robbers or bad guys hassling people in my neighborhood. I would have so much fun testing out Spider-Man's awesome abilities!Someday, I hope to grow up to be a real-life hero too, even if I don't have actual superpowers. I want to work hard to get very smart like Iron Man so I can invent amazing new technologies that can benefit society. Or maybe I'll join the military or become a police officer like Wonder Woman and dedicate my life to fighting against injustice. No matter what path I choose, I hope to always use my talents and abilities in an ethical way to make a positive difference in our world like my favorite superheroes do.Superheroes inspire us to be the best versions of ourselves that we can be. They teach valuable lessons about courage, responsibility, and doing the right thing even when it's difficult. That's why I will always be a huge superhero fan. Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wonder Woman and characters like them remind me to face challenges head-on, work hard to reach my full potential, and always strive to be a real-life hero too.。
