英语专业四级考试
英语专业四级考试（TEM-4，Test for English Majors-Band 4），全称为全国高校英语专业四级考试。自1991年起由中国大陆教育部实行，考察全国综合性大学英语专业学生。
考试内容涵盖英语听、说、读、写四个方面。口试自1998年开始正式实施，需另行报名。

英语专业四级考试考试目的
本考试的目的是全面检查已学完英语专业四级课程的学生是否达到教学大纲所规定的各项要求，考核学生运用各项基本技能的能力以及学生对语法结构和词语用法的掌握程度，既测试学生的综合能力，也测试学生的单项技能。同时，也是评估教学质量，推动校际交流的一种手段。
英语专业四级考试性质范围
本考试属于尺度参照性标准化考试。考试的范围包括基础阶段教学大纲所规定的一至四级除读音和说的技能以外的全部内容。口试采取机考模式，考点将考生答题音频处理后送至阅卷中心集体批阅。
英语专业四级考试考试时间
每年四月份的第三个周六。2010年考试时间为4月17日，2011年的考试时间为4月16日，2013年的考试时间为4月20日。2014年的考试时间为4月20日。通常是当年四月的第三个周六。
英语专业四级考试考试形式
为了较好地考核学生运用各项基本技能的能力，既照顾到科学性，客观性，又照顾到可行性以及基础阶段英语水平测试的特点，同时为确保试卷的信度，本考试除写作及听写部分为主观试题外，其余都采取多项选择题形式。主观试题部分旨在较好地测试学生灵活运用语言的能力，从而提高试卷的效度。
英语专业四级考试考试内容
本考试共有六个部分：一. 写作二. 听写三. 听力理解四. 完形填空五. 语法及词汇六. 阅读理解。前两部分需时60分钟。后四部分需时80分钟，整个考试需时140分钟。
英语专业四级考试及格标准
TEM4考试以60分为及格分数。考试及格者由高等院校外语专业教学指导委员会颁发成绩单。成绩分为三个等级：60-69分合格；70-79分良好；80分以上优秀。
英语专业四级考试报名资格
（1）经教育部备案或批准的高等院校中英语专业二年级本科生。
（2）经教育部备案或批准的高等院校中修完英语专业基础阶段教学大纲规定课程的二、三年制最后一学年的大专生。
（3）教育部备案或批准有学历的成人高等教育学院中四年制即脱产学习的英语专业（第二学年）本科生；五年制即不脱产学习的、修完英语专业基础阶段教学大纲规定课程（第三学年）的本科生。不脱产的三年制大专生，必须在第三学年时方可报名参加专业英语四级测试。
（4）重点外语类院校中，非英语专业的本科生中当年参加英语六级考试且成绩在60分以上，可参加当年专业英语四级考试。
（5）参加四级测试的考生只有一次补考机会。课程（第三学年）的本科生。不脱产的三年制大专生，必须在第三学年时方可报名参加专业英语四级测试。

2012大学英语四级考试写作辅导 记叙文的思路与练习 记叙文是以叙述人物的经历和事物的发展变化过程为主要表现形式的一种文体。记叙文既可以以写人为主，又可以以写事为主。写记叙文要注意记叙文的“六大要素”即： 时间（When）——何时发生，有没有具体时间？ 地点（Where）——何地发生，有没有地点变化？ 人物（Who）——何人参与，谁是主角？ 事件（What）——发生了什么，有何特点？ 原因（Why）——事件的起因？ 结果（How）——事件的经过及结局？ 一般说来，在一篇记叙文中这六大要素是缺一不可的。 记叙文的思路就围绕这六大要素充分展开。 【例】四级考试中，只出现过一次专门的记叙文体裁的写作，即“An Early Morning Walk”（1988.6.），2003年6月出现过包含记叙文的作文，即“An Eye-Witness Account of a Traffic Accident”。 对于“An Early Morning Walk”，知道命题要求后，我们就要开始构思了。 When：题目已规定了是“清晨”，在这个时候，“我”去散步。 Where：到哪儿散步？去公园？在校园里？在街上（街上空气不好，还是不去！）。 Who：在公园里看到晨练的人：中老年人、年轻人、小孩子;在校园里看到读书背单词的学生。 What：人们热火朝天地做操，随音乐跳舞，打球，等等。 Why：清晨空气清新，适合锻炼;一日之际在于晨，背背书，读读单词。 当然，由这个题目可以令人想到很多东西，因篇幅所限，我们做了删减。
