It is important for everyone to know about what happening all around the world even though the events have not affect our daily life.
With the development of the modern technology, knowing what’s happening around us become increasingly convenient than in the past. These days, some people suppose that everyone should know what happening all around the globe even if the events do not affect their life. However, my attitude is just opposed to such statement. I believe there is no need for people to know about what happening all around the world.
First of all, in these increasingly competitive society, not only students but also adults are overwhelmed and overloaded due to numerous assignments and tasks. In other words, people can hardly allocate their time to know about what happening all around the world, not mention to those have no relevant to their lives. As for students, they are exposed to a pile of assignments including taking exams, doing papers and taking extracurricular exercise. Time, supposed to accomplish assignments, are contributed to reading newspapers about events around the world, which can distract students’attention from what they are supposed to do. In addition, as for adults, they have to assume responsibility of their family and vocation. In the workplace, employees who are concentrating on their work continuously rather than browse news through smart phone during the period of working are more likely valued by employers. Even if people come back home after work they are more likely to spend time in communicating with their family members. There is no doubt that a harmony relationship with family members is more important than knowing what happening around the world.
Moreover, knowing what happening around world cannot benefit us tremendously, not only in life but also in work. In personal life, people pay close attention to a healthy lifestyle and thus they may be more interested in how to develop the healthy eating habit and how to get relax in their spare time. However, in order to know what happening around the world, they have to watch TV or browse the news on the Internet, which provides them with access to keeping sedentary and sometimes even consuming junk foods during the period of watching TV. These behaviors, undoubtedly, exert adverse impact on their health. In addition, in professional life, knowing what happening around world, in some times, means employees are more likely to converse with each other regarding events in all over the world, which lead to lowering their work efficiency and as a result they can hardly have any chance to get promotion in their companies.
In conclusion, it is quite obvious that in these modern society people are too busy to allocate time to know what happening around the world, and knowing what happening around the world can also exert some adverse impact on their personal and professional life. Therefore, there is no need for people to know what happening around the world.。
