光离子检测器(PID )的应用这里介绍一些光离子检测器(PID )或者传感器的基本常识以帮助使用者正确使用PID 传感器。
1. 什么是光离子检测器(PID )和传感器:利用高能量的紫外光来使检测物从分子状态离子化成离子和电子从而检测目标物质。
因此光离子检测器包括:空紫外源或者紫外灯、驱动紫外灯电子系统、气体离子化室以及离子和电子收集电极。
如果把这些都打包在一起就构成PID 传感器。
PID 一般检测低浓度的挥发性有机物VOC 和少量气态无机物质。
2. PID 如何工作:当高能量的真空紫外光照射到VOC 气体分子上,VOC 就会被离子化产生有机物正离子和电子。
如果在离子化区域间加一对收集电极,那么电子就会流向正极,而正离子就会流向负极,从而形成电流。
而且这个电流大小与离子和电子以及VOC 浓度成正比。
因此只要测电流就可知道样品中VOC 浓度。
3. 什么是挥发性有机化合物:挥发有机化合物(VOC )是指常温下明显或者完全挥发成气体的有机化合物(含碳的)。
一般分子量比较小或者沸点低的有机化合物。
4. PID 能够检测哪些物质:PID 一般能够检测大多数挥发性有机物VOC 和少量气态无机物质。
但是也有少量VOC 不能被检测。
PID 能否检测某种VOC 是根据PID 灯的输出能量和VOC 的电离能(IP )来判断。
如果PID 紫外灯的输出能量大于VOC 分子的电离能,PID 就能检测这种VOC 。
PID 紫外灯的能量是由灯内惰性气体以及紫外灯窗口材料决定,常用紫外灯分为9.8eV 、10.6eV 和11.7eV 的三种灯。
其中10.6eV 紫外灯—C-C=C —(VUV 光源)(VOC 气体)正极电子 正离子负极常用于大多数VOC检测。
9.8eV灯用于苯或者苯衍生物检测。
11.7eV由于窗口材料特殊,寿命较短,主要用于特殊VOC检测。
VOC的电离能在工具书有机化合物的物理性能表中能够查到。
5.如何选择光离子源-紫外灯:紫外灯选择是根据检测物质(VOC)以及灯的灵敏度和寿命来选择。

简介
挥发性有机化合物(VOCs)往往是液体,在室温下1很容易释放 出蒸汽,如溶剂和燃料。在高浓度下,这些蒸气会发生爆炸。 在极低浓度下,他们可能有毒。虽然有时候,接触这些化合物 的影响可以立刻显现,但是通常可能几个月都不会有任何明显 症状,而是此后几年才会显现。这种慢性病可能由长期大量接 触低浓度挥发性有机化合物(VOCs)造成。随着人们对挥发性有 机化合物(VOCs)的慢性毒性的逐步认识,职业接触限值(OEL) 得以降低,同时也增加了对直接测量的需求。

大量不同的有毒、易爆气体可能存在于某些工作环境中。因 此,最常用的办法就是使用可以同时装配多个传感器的气体 检测仪,能够同时监测可能造成威胁的不同气体危害。不同 传感器提供的信息有助于分析复杂混合气体。
然而,受成本和体积限制,谈及个人检测设备时, 只有可燃性气体传感器或者基于PID的传感器才被常 用。这两种技术并不是针对某一种气体,因此不能 用于从一种 VOC/易燃气体中区分出另一种。

从VOC分子中去除一个电子所需的能量被称为电离电势(IP)。 分子越大,或分子中含有更多双键或三键,则IP越低。因此, 一般来说,分子越大,就越容易被检测出。并且,该技术不需 要使用可能会阻止气体进入传感器的烧结片。同时,也不易被 其他常见的化合物削弱其功能而导致中毒。

光电离检测技术被公认为监测挥发性有机化合物有毒水平 的首选技术。传感器包括一盏指示灯,该灯安装于高能紫 外线(UV)光源内(图4)。该指示灯(包括一个密封的硼硅 酸盐玻璃体)内包惰性气体,最常用的是氪和电极。UV 光 的能量激发中立带电的 VOC 分子,因此去除一个电子4。

欧美国家的制定的TW A和STEL通常也是PPM单位。
中国也开始发布自己的规范, 但单位是mg/m3,有些情况下就需要将PPM转为mg/m3。
PPM转为mg/m3的公式:1.公式1:mg/m3= PPM值。
严重错误,但是有的仪器直接这样转换,需要注意。
2.公式2:mg/m3= PPM值* 常定系数。
(系数有的设为4,5,7等等)比较简单。
3.公式3:mg/m3= PPM值* M气体分子量/22.4 * [273/(273+T 气体温度)] *(Ba压力/101325)。
需要环境的温度和压力,在实际应用中很难用到。
4.公式4:mg/m3= PPM值* M气体分子量/22.4。
比较科学。
VOC是多种气体的统称,也就有多种分子量。
不同企业排放气体类型不同,所以其分子量应当也不同,如果采用同一个分子量的方式有些不恰当。
但是许多仪器无法内置分子量,所以分子量固定采用80多,就变成了使用公式2,并以4作为常定系数。
PV6001手持式VOC检测仪使用公式4,但是设置时,简化成公式2,如图:【PPM>mg/m3系数】是根据当前选择的目标气体的分子量/22.4计算而来。
如果你认为这个系数不适合你的环境,你还可以修改他。
对于混合物的分子量,使用公式:分子量= 1 / ((气体1的比例/ 气体1的分子量) + (气体2的比例/ 气体2的分子量)+…) 图中的混合物的摩尔分子量(mix)=105.85。

VOC检测方法:PID检测法和气相色谱法严循东 2020年9月22日一、VOC的简介和危害二、VOC的PID检测法1、什么是PID光电离子探测器(PHOTO IONIZATION DETECTORS)可以测量(50ppb-6000ppm)量程范围的VOC(可挥发性有机物)和一些有毒气体。
许多有害物质原料都含有VOC,PID由于其对VOC的高灵敏度,成为有害物质早期危险报警、泄漏监测等不可缺少的实用工具。
目前通过对灯泡以及内部IC升级,大大延长了灯泡的使用寿命。
光离子化报警器可以检测10ppb(parts billion)到10000ppm(parts per million)的VOC和其他有毒气体。
PID是一个高度灵敏、适用范围广泛的检测器,PID可以看成一个“低浓度LEL检测器”。
如果将有毒气体和蒸气看成是一条大江的话,即使你游入大江,LEL检测器可能还没有反应,而PID则在你刚刚湿脚的时候就已经告诉了你。
2、PID传感器的优点1)精度高高精度的光离子传感器可以检测到ppb级别(十亿分之一)的有机气体,一般的光离子化气体传感器可以检测到ppm级(百万分之一)的有机气体,精度超过红外传感器等大多数常用传感器;2)对检测气体无破坏性光离子传感器在将气体吸入后将其电离,而气体分子形成的离子在放电后又形成了原先的气体分子,对原气体分子无破坏性。
3)响应速度快、寿命长除了气体检测系统在开机后预热的一段时间,在正常工作状态下,光离子气体传感器几乎可以实时做出反应,可以连续测试。
在这检测危险气体时,对保障检测人员健康有重要意义。
一般一支紫外灯的寿命在数千小时,光离子传感器在此期间均可正常工作,有很长的使用寿命。
4)应用范围广光离子传感器对大多数有机和部分无机气体均可检测,可以广泛应用于化工、运输、军事、航天等领域。
由于光离子化气体传感器对于检测物的浓度变化特别敏感,在初始个人防护确认、泄露区域确认、清除污染等方面有重要作用。
