一、while做名词，表示“一会儿”。
1)After lunch, she likes to take a nap for a while.她喜欢午饭后眯一会儿。

二、while 做连词。

一、引导时间状语从句
译作“当……时”。
例如：
1. Make hay while the sun shines.

2. We must work hard to gain more knowledge while we are young.
